Lord Everard was born to a noble family and raised with every comfort. But soon this life became wearisome, and he decided to set out for a life of adventure. His first journey led him to the mighty sword Brightblade, long-buried in an ancient tomb, and it seemed as though fate had picked him for its favorite. His second journey brought him to help interrupt a sinister cultist ceremony and let their human sacrifice escape, and he thought himself a hero. But things are not always as we think. Mere weeks later, Everard was on the trail of a series of demon-driven attacks. When he tracked them to their source, however, he found it was the sacrifice he had thought to free earlier -- demon-possessed herself, and out for blood. He sought to correct his error and cut her down, only to find that this caused the demonic taint to spread to Brightblade. From then on, Everard's sword changed to a thirsting beast. He foreswore the name Brightblade forever, and called it instead the Reaving Blade. Now he travels, still in search of adventure, still hoping to set things right, but all to aware of the folly that lies behind our attempts to make a better world. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Aspects: Born to the Nobility Trained as a Duelist "No challenge is too great!"
