			Mattius's demon is his greatsword, Uzuliam. He must keep always close to it, or else the demon will be freed and Bad Things will happen.

	~~Core~~:		Mattius can at times tap into the demon for feats of great strength, or demonic insight.
			*Stubborn as hell: Cancels a penalty aspect used against him the first time it is invoked. (I.e. it can be invoked again the next turn for free, it just doesn't work the first time)
			*Liberation: Voluntarily sets free Uzuliam, who attacks everything close by, friendly or not. Probably would require some difficulty to get him back in the sword again....
			*WHAT THE FUCK: Non-mechanical. Instantly attracts the attention of every unaware person in the vicinity through doing something extraordinary and terrifying.

	~~- Pyromancer~~		Mattius's unusual background has led to him being spiritually attached to a low ranking demon of fire, Uzuliam, which is manifested as his sword. Channeling Uzuliam's abilties, and pointing an appropriate focus, Mattius can conjure gouts of explosive flame, making any situation very messy indeed.
			*Burn to ashes: Inflict lingering damage on an advanced success
			*Wave of flames: +2 vs minions
			*Demolitions: Use to destroy something inanimate in some suitably spectacular way

Core concept - "Guy wot throws fireballs"

Mattius served as a lowborn soldier for the (?) Empire during the wars of the Northern Rebellions. During that war, at a time of great desperation, the wise men of the Empire concocted a mad plan - certain members of the soldiers would make deals with 'demons' (as they are popularly known) in exchange for power, power that the army hoped would turn the tide. Mattius was one such soldier, bound, by unknown means, to a lesser demon of fire.

The plan worked, but - it seems - not well enough. The Empire collapsed a few years later. Mattius re-emerged years later as a little-known mercenary, always travelling from place to place, offering his services for a price. Apparently someone hired him, or maybe he owes someone a favour?
