After a pause, Lazer sneaks another glance at Antheunis, who's still looking intently at him, so Lazer again turns away. Antheunis sighs, and goes back to his basket. "When I was your age, I would have filled in that silence with all sorts of meaning--'They're scared!' 'They're prejudiced!' 'They don't like me any more!' But you know, they have their own problems. I'm finally starting to see that now." He takes a deep breath, and looks around the room where they're sitting. "Maybe I finally really am old enough to leave this place. But I want to do it on my own terms, not because we're being kicked out by some thug. I want this place to still be here when I go, a place where out-of-place kids like you and me can learn to live with themselves. Maybe... maybe if you focus on that, it'll help you get out of your own head? So you can stop worrying whether people like you or not?" Antheunis stands, and looks critically at his now-finished miniature basket. "My mom put me in a basket like this to keep me safe. Then Sister Marianne kept me in this building to keep me safe. It's time I stepped out of that basket, and took care of it for a change. I don't know how to get to that party either, but if you want to talk about it, I'll be in my room. And for what it's worth, Lazer," Lazer looks up, and their eyes meet. Antheunis tosses him the basket. "I do like you. I'll see you around." With a nod, Antheunis turns and walks away, leaving Lazer with a small basket and a funny expression on his face.''

They have a knotted piece of string, a rod, and some paper -- given what Antheunis knows, it seems reasonable to think they are calculating distance and angles to the warehouse, and where the optimal point of entry would be from there to the catacombs. Finally they're done, and they make their way out again through the catacombs, Antheunis on their heels. Ruud seems to be following a memorized path through the mazy catacombs; occasionally he has to stop and think about which way to go next and he gives a wide berth to the center where Willem stands.

			Aernoud scrambles up some convenient boxes and onto the roof of the workshop, where he's able to get an excellent view of Griet's work without being observed. It appears she's making a few different things: a large frame, able to be disassembled for easy transport; some additional struts like what Antheunis found in the courtyard; an angled trough and paddlewheel. Antheunis also gets a "Studied Griet's Work" aspect he can tap for free later on.

			Later, Willem is able to identify the frame as looking familiar -- it's a scaled-up version of the frame of Lady Bellaire's model (made of wood and not metal, though).
