	Antheunis rocks the fountain back and forth, struggling to get it off its moorings without looking like he's doing so. Finally, it topples -- taking him with it. The splash and tumble isn't so bad, but when he rubs the water from his eyes and looks up, there's two grinning specimens of the best of East Arsebrouc looking down at him. "Well well well," says one. "Looks like half the work is done for us -- let's get this into the wagon and get out of here." 			Aernoud prepares to meet Ruud's rush. Ruud is clearly in a you've-interrupted-me-for-the-last-time-you-meddling-kids kind of mood, and comes on like a charging horse, but Aernoud is undaunted: he waits for just the right moment, swings his cane, and Ruud's torch-club goes flying. Before Ruud can recover, Aernoud sidesteps and follows up the swing with a series of painful jabs to Ruud's ribcage. Ruud is clearly winded and he tips his big head from side to side, feathers thrashing about.

			Meanwhile, the crowd has been attracted by the shouts and the fight, but instead of helping they seem to think this is part of the entertainment. They form a ring around the two, crowding in with lanterns and shoving in with quizzing-glasses to try to get a better view. "Three on the little one!" a voice calls. "Three? He'll be eaten alive! Five on feather-head!"
