Helvetica
- Geneva: baronial seat and capital, set among mountains on the shores of Lake Lorraine.
- Geneva College, formerly Geneva Girls' Finishing School; centre of the action. Employs Gert, Hans, Arvid.
- Schloss Shriftsteller, home of the Baron.
- Mysterious Waterfall of Mystery (see: Elena). Apparently mundane, but embroiled in fate-witch plots.

- Mt. Schaedelbrecher. Overlooks the main pass from Geneva to Eisen; houses Saint Alsace monastery (from whence Brother Etienne, Cujo).
- The Schwarzen: big spooky forest, getting slightly less spooky at the edges. Eventually leads into Montaigne and Eisen.
