Initial Rules

  • Rule 0. This is a game.
    • This is a game. The game includes a set of players. The initial players are [TBD]. The players are responsible for maintaining, to the best of their ability, a set of the rules of the game at the Rules page.
  • Rule 1. Amending the Rules.
    • Any player can propose a new rule, a change to a rule or the removal of a rule by creating a new page for it and linking it from the List of Rule Proposals.
      • The voting period begins as soon as the new rule proposal is posted. Players can vote on a proposal during the voting period by adding their vote to accept or reject it to the page for the rule proposal. Players can change their votes at any time during the voting period by the same method.
      • If at any point during the voting period, a strict majority of all players has voted to approve a proposal, any player may edit the proposal page to indicate this and officially apply the change to the Rules. At this point, it officially becomes a part of the rules of the game. This ends the voting period.
      • If at any point during the voting period, a strict majority of all players has voted to reject a proposal, any player may edit the proposal page to indicate this. This also ends the voting period.
      • If neither of the above has occurred within 72 hours of the beginning of the voting period, the voting period ends. No votes may be cast or changed after the end of the voting period.
        • If the proposal has not been officially approved or rejected at this point, but a strict majority of the people who did vote chose to approve it, then any player may edit the proposal page to indicate this and officially apply the change to the Rules.
        • Likewise, if the proposal has not been officially approved or rejected at this point, but a strict majority of the people who did vote chose to reject it, any player may edit the proposal page to indicate this.
