Dark reinforces his netgun for underwater use and borrows sample tanks from Research to take on his next expedition. Also, he uses his Engineering acumen to devise some sort of portable sonic device for driving away critters.

Silentus has absolutely no idea what someone was thinking when claiming that the terrible tragedy on Topni was "not entirely unconnected" to him, since records at the Inter-Space Cable Company and the use log on his Astro-Pop 5000 popcorn popper will clearly show that he spent the entire evening in his living room watching the nine-hour miniseries The Old Man and the Galactic Sea, and thus he couldn't possibly have had even the slightest bit to do with all those explosions and slave revolts. He is, however, looking into the matter of who dared suggest such an unthinkably dastardly thing and will deal with them appropriately in due course. He will play out the conclusion of this turn once he has completed that task.
