Turn 5 - House Aramin

Previous turn: Turn 4

House Actions

  • Shipping: The StarFar Reigspress loads up with any homesteaders who are ready to make the trip and departs from the Core. Reig may or may not go with them.
  • Fighting: The StarLight Survey Squad flees to hex L10. Rick acts as a rank-2 military unit to fight the hostile plants.
  • Exploration: The StarLight Survey Squad explores hex M9, hoping that the water will be less interested in killing them than the flowers were.
  • Production: We produce 2 units of Unsorted Crystals from our (unnamed) Large crystal farm in L10. We produce 1 unit of Metals from the Alshu Cup mine in N11. We produce 1 unit of Unsorted Crystals from the Starfarer Crystal Garden And Wilderness Preserve in P12.
  • Processing: We process 2 units of Unsorted Crystals and 1 unit of Metals into 1 unit of Energy Weapons (a rank-2 refined commodity). We also process 2 units of Unsorted Crystals and 1 unit of Industrial Kelp into 1 unit of Ndoggahyde (also a rank-2 refined commodity).
  • Research: We continue researching the mining applications of teleportation. Jude assists, and doubles up the research with a fate point (see below).
  • Building: [None]
  • Landing: The StarFar Reigspress visits Vefna and deposits four units of colonists on their new (actually slightly used) homeworld.
  • Trading: We electronically transfer ownership of 1 unit of Ndoggahyde to House Prime, which they can retrieve at their convenience.
  • Politics: Reig probably does something if he's still on the far side of the wormhole.

Character Actions

  • Rick Starfarer: Rick tests the potential combat applications of one of the industrial exoskeleton units Jude developed for goods transport within the Riju factory by suiting up, grabbing a 3 TW laser cutting torch, and heading out to chop some vegetables. (Spent one fate point to activate a house aspect: "Experimental High-Tech Gadgetry".)
  • Jude Farlight: Jude assists with the research, and with an intuitive leap of engineering, helps to apply teleportation technology both to industry, and as an offshoot of that, the (re)discovery of and initial prototype for a way to use the crystals to control much of the local progenitor-modified flora and fauna. (spend a fate point)
