  • Shipping:
    • The Space Whale takes Starlight Survey Squad, KANE, 1 unit of Large Energy Weapons, 1 unit of Warp Manifolds and 1 unit of Kookie Krysp to Arroyo.
  • Fighting:
    • The Reiglight Revenge, the Foreign Legion and Rick free Vefna! We hope. [This is probably an Adventure activity.]
    • Colonists rig up various booby traps as they evacuate to the submarine. (No complete explosions, but enough to hurt and harass and especially slow down for a while.) Dark trains those who want to stay into a fighting force.
    • Thunderchild, the Fightin' Fighters and the Yowlin' Yoshis defend Arroyo (and especially the Cavernous Region).
    • Jude, the Green Berets and the Elvis Flytraps defend Elvis (especially the Hau Ndogg Region).

    • Raphael Helsing (cautiously) checks out the mysterious ocean circle of calm.

    • The Boumfadour Institute for Ecology and Planetary Development packs up and flees to the submarine, "accidentally" leaving behind a dangerous specimen or two with the cages unlocked.
    • The Boumfadour Institute for History and Archaeology finishes building this turn.
  • Building:
    • The Cavernous Region is upgraded to Factory-I: The Seve Ballesteros Memorial Shipyard. One charge of the terraforming device is used to reduce the cost from 25Mc to 15Mc. At the official opening ceremony, there is a moment of silence for the great man who was lost to the distant reaches of time and space when the wormhole collapsed.
  • Landing:
    • The Space Whale arrives at Arroyo, dispensing all of its cargo.
  • Trading:
    • Elvis' Hau Ndogg Region, Bloos Wade Region and Alshu Cup Region each consume 1/4 unit of Kookie Krysp.
    • Boumfadour's Island Region and Ocean Region each consume 1 unit of Food.
    • Arroyo's Bonanza Region and Cavernous Region each consume 1/4 unit of Kookie Krysp.
  • Politics:
    • Perhaps Basinbloke or Silentus could make contact with that unofficial Gwyne "research" group to find out what they can about the wormhole-manipulation tech?

Character Actions

Colony

  • Dark: Trains the colonists who don't evacuate to become The Prime Irregulars (improvised rank-1 fighting force). He also sends a message from the Gwyne ship to the oncoming fleet that the forces from Operation Moon Snail will be meeting them at the nearby Asteroid Belt 3402-A.
  • Jude: Jude erects papier-mache cities with little signal generators to reduce planetary bombardment effectiveness.
  • Rick: Frees Vefna!
  • Kyil: Day 15, still not rescued.

Imperial Core

  • Reig: Investigate where wormhole was supposed to be transferred to (Result: rumor of odd ship in Reeft territory)
  • Seve:
  • Silentus:
  • Tesher: Befriends a few Gwyne customs officials and similar functionaries to discreetly gather information about what kind of unusual refined goods Gwyne has been manufacturing, importing or sending to the colonies (with the goal of finding out what their wormhole manipulation devices might be made out of).
  • (NPC) Basinbloke: Works with the Reeft counterpart from Turn 13 to form a slap-Gwyne-in-the-face bill that has half a chance of working (given extra political finanglings beforehand); something mild enough other Houses would be willing to jump on board.

Results

Everyone continues to get ready for the Gwyne invasion, but business goes on as usual in some other areas: some supplies are produced, others processed, and others are shipped around. (Boumfadour, however, has limited production due to its ongoing evacuation, which has effectively lowered each region by a rank).

On Arroyo, the Lewison Clarks and Bram finish a preliminary exploration of the Cavernous Region, discovering 1) the remains of what appear to be an old-empire cargo ship, presumably crash-landed 2) an ancient avestruz burial ground 3) some practical tips for exploration, increasing the Lewison Clarks to rank 3. With this exploration done, the terraformer moves in, helping to set up a shipyard. Back on Boumfadour, Raphael performs some initial exploration of the circle of calm water, discovering its walls are made from what appear to be chains of bubbles, but he can't figure out what is going on here -- clearly this is a job for a PC.

The research groups work on their research. Laria and the institute for advanced physics and less-advanced astro-polo present a plan for getting the wormhole operational again: it'll require some data from Vefna for tuning purposes, and then for someone to activate the appropriate transmission machinery on at least three planets simultaneously. The new research institution on Boumfadour opens, just in time to be flooded with evacuees and unable to get any research done.

Dark works on managing the evacuation and preparing future Gwyne harassment, mostly by training up the Prime Irregulars. Jude does something similar on Elvis, but in a more science-y way. Rick has excitement on Vefna.

Back at the empire, Tesher and Basinbloke gather information.

Finally, the much-promised invasion fleet arrives at the colony worlds. It has split into four parts, one portion going to Hrobaj, one to Elvis (consisting of a rank-3 battleship, a rank-2 cruiser, a rank-1 scout, and a cargo ship), one to Boumfadour (consisting of a rank-3 battleship, a rank-1 scout, and a cargo ship), and one to Arroyo (consisting of a rank-3 battleship, a rank-2 cruiser, and two rank-1 scouts). As it arrives, the scout splits off from the Boumfadour fleet, going off to make a rendezvous it is unlikely to receive any satisfaction from. The ships take up position around their respective planets, ready to crush all resistance and make a landing.
