ARS-32 awaits! In the month since House Gwyne has abandoned their base on the planet to you (destroying or sabotaging much of their infrastructure before the handover), you have spent much of your efforts stabilizing what's there rather than exploring. You have taken possession of the main colony site and gotten some view of the surrounding area (the colony is located at hex K10 on the map included in the game feelies).

Taking stock of the situation, your colony's assets are as follows:

  • The main colony, located at hex K10
    • You have also explored hexes K9, L9, and L10
  • A productive stand of crystal-producing vegetation (ie, a mine which produces Unsorted Crystals) in hex L10
  • A basic cargo ship
  • A crystal-sorting plant (ie, a factory which refines 3 Unsorted Crystals) in hex K9
  • A basic biological research institution in the main colony
  • 10 mega-credits in the colony treasury (what your House was able to scrounge up in liquid capital)

You are just getting yourself settled when two important messages arrive for the House leadership. The first is from the Imperial Senate, and reads as follows "In recognition of the Empire's glorious generosity in awarding the new colony planet to House Aramin in order to promote the wealth and welfare of [...etc, etc...] so that the majesty of the Empire shall not soon dim and yet nevertheless shine ever onwards [...etc, etc...] in order to demonstrate that they are able to fully utilize the planet they have been awarded and in recognition of the aforementioned generosity, House Aramin is directed to pay a tax of 30 mega-credits, to be paid 24 weeks from receipt of this message." The second is a message from the colony's medical unit: "Sickness among the colonists continues to rise; at this rate, we'll be running short of medical supplies within months, unless we can synthesize some locally. Please advise."

Time to take action! Decide what you'd like your House and characters to do, and fill in the actions on your turn 1 page. If you have questions, see the instructions page.
