Hidden underneath Hau Ndogg Community College's astro-polo stadium, there is no secret advanced physics laboratory led by Laria du Benwick, a physicist specializing in wormhole research who most decidedly was not recently rescued from Jayce's secret military base in a daring raid. But if there were, this is the page that those individuals who had partial control over this secret advanced physics laboratory (which doesn't exist) would use to decide what research topics to look into next.

Reig would propose (if this existed) that we discuss possible research topics together, but each house in turn chooses what to research next. Whatever is chosen, all results are shared. (And if you get a completely-unrelated result, you can go again). That proposal would also be fine with Rick. Does anyone from any other involved house have an opinion on the question of whether we should vote on topics each time or take turns picking the topic?

  • Turn 10 possible topics:
    • How to generate small wormholes that will stay open rather than collapsing after a few seconds. Votes for this: Rick
    • Aramin has some birds that communicate telepathically. Something about this ability has been harnessed to create a teleporter. Laria is interested in this--she could research how this communication/teleportation happens, and if it's applicable to wormholes. Votes for this: Jude, Reig (SELECTED)
  • Turn 12 possible topics:
    • Gwynne's Nefarious Plan (from Scuttlebutt). Votes for this: Rick, Jude, Dark

Possible topics in general:

  • Generating larger wormholes
  • Weaponizing small wormholes (in the field or for ships)
  • Using wormholes for mining
  • Jayce's research (with Laria) was based on something Gwynne was researching before they got kicked off of our planets. We could try to figuring out what Gwynne was researching wrt. wormholes before they left (but inky said we'll need to get more information before we can usefully research this)
