CharlesAlgun says, "She says she will spare us, if we leave the island by sundown."
Cadiz lets loose a low whistle.
Eolo says, "we were planning on leaving the island anyway. I don't think this changes things much."
Keestake says, "Well, I don't object to someone smothering those bloody pirates..."
CharlesAlgun says, "She had planned to destry it last night, but sayed her hand because we were innocent of the crimes those, those, hose wretches committed."
Cadiz asks, "Did she say we can borrow the boat?"
DiegoValdez says (to Eolo), "True. It just gives us a time limit."
CharlesAlgun says (to Cadiz), "She didn't mention the King's boat specifically, but if we don't take it, I'm sure it will be destroyed here."
Era_Khar'Kov efficiently finger-combs and rebraids her hair, before joining the others.

Eolo yanks his arrow also, not without a certain amount of embarassment

CharlesAlgun asks, "Does anyone have a clue where that fellow Keestake has gotten to?"
[7thsea] Federico asks (of Ghogg), "I'm not getting the equipment penalty?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "nah, not this one"
[7thsea] Federico says, "Also, you do realize that you're nolonger the GameMaster."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "I know"
[7thsea] Eolo says, "I assume this is a good stopping point for tonight"

Cadiz, still grimacing from his wounds, takes the crossbows (bows?) from the fallen archers, and searches them for other acoutrements.
[7thsea] Miseri asks, "Er ... you upped the difficulty from the book's listing?"
Federico begins setting the wound, then concentrates hard...
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "lesse"
[7thsea] Federico says, "Drama die."
[7thsea] Federico rolls 1 die: 3
[7thsea] Ghogg asks, "actually, it's 15, innit?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "which means with +3 you just made it"
CharlesAlgun asks, "Well, while we take this little rest... did anything come from all the studying done last night?"

[7thsea] Ghogg says, "The dramatic wounds are gone"
[7thsea] Era_Khar'Kov says, "Diagnose means that it's only 5 per."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "roleplay if you want"
(From Federico) Blood begins flowing from the wound, but Federico quickly staunches it, pulling Era's arm into a makeshift tounriquet, and closing off the wound.
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "Any of the archers have knives? (Or anything else of use?)"
Federico wipes his brow.
[7thsea] Miseri asks, "Any of the archers have boots my size?"
Federico says, "I'm not trained for this type of work."
[7thsea] BastardJack says (to Federico), "If you don't have a limit on that, I've got a wound too. but it's not serious."
[7thsea] Eolo asks, "did we ever get era some pants?"
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Yeah, this morning."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says (to Eolo), "I think Cadiz got her some from the chests."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "you can't fool me, you don't wear pants on your chest"
CharlesAlgun sees Diego checking feet, and follows suit.
Federico walks slowly to Jack, eying him carefully. "You took a wound?"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says (to Eolo), "Well, maybe Era does."
DiegoValdez wanders about, looking for foot protection.
BastardJack glances up. "Oh, aye." He points carelessly at his shoulder.
Federico carefully diagnoses Jack's wound.
Ghogg says, "also, they do have boots"
Ghogg says, "Feel free to take."

Cadiz ponders the arrows sticking into his back and left thigh.
[7thsea] Federico says, "19."
DiegoValdez says, "Hm. Too small ... too large ... the wrong colour ... ah, here we go."

BastardJack stands impassively, grunting slightly as the priest probes his wound.
Federico says (to Jack), "This should be simple enough, now hold still."

DiegoValdez selects a pair of sturdy black boots and slips them on. After he cleans the sand off his feet, of course.
Eolo asks (of DiegoValdez), "wouldn't want to be seen in mismatched clothing, eh?"
Cadiz says (to Federico), "I have successfully ascertained that my backside hurts like the Inferno."
[7thsea] Federico asks, "22. That's enough, no?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "ye"
Federico easily sews up Jack's wound.
CharlesAlgun tries on a pair of boots which don't quite fit. He walks a bit funny, but that wears off after a few paces back and forth.
DiegoValdez says (to Eolo), "Of course not. Now if I could only get the bloodstains out of this shirt...."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "Is Rawlsworth still around?"
BastardJack says, "My thanks, Father."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "I'm not making any rulings on Rawlsworth :-)"
Era_Khar'Kov says, "After my arm is bandaged, I look for a good bow, and start picking up arrows (out of people, if necessary)."
CharlesAlgun checks the nearby bushes for any sign of rodentia.
Ghogg says, "righto"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "I take it he doesn't get to roll Panache in the next battle, right? ;)"
Federico says (to Jack), "My physicking is running slim. Try to stay unharmed in future confrontations."
Federico speaks up, "Is there anyone else in need of aid?"
[7thsea] BastardJack asks (of Federico), "Do you have a limited number per day or anything?"
Cadiz limps over to Federico.
Ghogg says (to Era), "you claim about 32 arrows sthat haven't been smashed because an archer fell on them or they broke while plunging through a body or some such stuff"
DiegoValdez says, "Si. Something on this shoulder would be helpful."
[7thsea] Eolo asks, "do the archers have daggers or anything?"
CharlesAlgun sighs, and sits on the rock he grazed his knuckles on earlier.
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "just the bows"
DiegoValdez says, "If only to stop up the bleeding."
[7thsea] BastardJack asks (of Ghogg), "Is my thumb still tingling, or has the sorceror moved out of range?"
Federico says (to Diego), "Francesco arrived first, I shall treat him first."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "it doesn't tingle now"
DiegoValdez says (to Federico), "Of course."
Federico probes into Cadiz's wound.

BastardJack says, "Well, whatever I felt earlier, 'tis gone now."
Era_Khar'Kov offers to slice more petticoat, if needed for bandages.
Eolo asks, "is anyone else trained with the bow?"

CharlesAlgun asks, "A bow?"
Federico says, "Perfect, let's see what I can do here..."
CharlesAlgun says, "You... pull on the cord part, right?."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "heck, you can just do this part yourself :-)"
BastardJack says, "No, but if anyone finds a knife, I'd be grateful."

DiegoValdez begins to hum an Avalon tune he heard once. "Tie a yellow garter round the old oak tree...."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "also, fine"
BastardJack asks (of Diego), "I know that one. Tad indecent for the lady's ears, don't ye think?"
[7thsea] Ghogg asks, "also, the surgery just does the dramatic wounds, the flesh ones are still there, right?"
Cadiz says, "Ah, much better."
Federico quickly bandages Cadiz's wound. "I think I'm getting the hang of this."
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "The flesh wounds only last the length of the battle anyway."
Keestake has entered from behind the curtain.
CharlesAlgun asks, "Is anyone else a tad worried that our guide ran off as soon as things got dangerous?"
CharlesAlgun blinks.
DiegoValdez says (to Jack), "Oh? Oh ... I wouldn't know. I have no idea what the words themselves mean."
Keestake says, "Bloody 'ell..."
Cadiz says (to Federico), "If you're getting tired of this, I can tend to the minor wounds."
CharlesAlgun says, "Well, speak of Legion."
[7thsea] Federico asks (of Ghogg), "I can only perform surgery on each patient once per act. Can I do Diego again, or no?"
BastardJack asks, "An' where did you go, Greybeard?"
Keestake says, "I felt myself compelled to stay in hidin' from the scrap."
CharlesAlgun asks, "Off to get us some breakfast, perhaps?"
Keestake says, "Also, I saw that dwarf walk by...limpin' abit"
Keestake says, "He only sort of was half there, if ya know what I mean"
Eolo asks (of Keestake), "and you didn't attempt to stop him?"
Keestake says, "Could see straight through 'im"
DiegoValdez says (to Keestake), "no, we don't know what you mean."
Keestake asks (of Eolo), "Do I look like a warrior to you?"
CharlesAlgun asks, "What, was he there or wasn't he?"
Eolo says, "that's .. interesting."
Keestake says, "Sort of half there."
Eolo asks (of Keestake), "his arms were bound, were they not?"
Keestake says, "You had to squint at him right to even see him"
Cadiz says, "So it *wasn't* just me. Sorcery." He looks grim."
Keestake says (to Eolo), "yeah, they were"
Keestake says (to Eolo), "didn't seem to bother him much though"
CharlesAlgun says, "Like a ghost? He seems solid enough earlier, when Diego'd had his arm around him."
Keestake says, "Eh, he wasn't floatin'"
Keestake says, "Solid body went you touch it, I presume"
CharlesAlgun asks, "Well, did you see which way he went?"
Keestake says, "Anyway, we be wastin' time if you want to get to the boat."
BastardJack says, "Odd that I nae felt him until he used his power."
DiegoValdez says, "And if I get my arm around him again, I should see to it that he stays a ghost."
Keestake says, "Towards the stables, it seemed"
[7thsea] Federico says, "afk."
Eolo says, "I suppose."
Keestake says, "Good chunk of pirates camped there, if ya' remember"
CharlesAlgun chuckles, "Well, I can't deny there wasn't much solid to his fist when it punched me, but I blamed that on his natural lack of fortitude..."
Era_Khar'Kov asks (of Keestake), "There are stables? Where?"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "Ack. Triple negative."
BastardJack says, "Normally, the chant goes that I can tell when anyone with... gifts... comes near. But I felt nothing 'till he was gone."
BastardJack says, "Mayhap someone else did this to him."
Keestake says, "Dunno, maybe it wasn't him, maybe som' item he had. I don't know more than you"
Era_Khar'Kov says, "Next time we see him, we strip him."
Eolo says, "Next time we see him, I put a quarrel in his head."
CharlesAlgun looks sidelong at Era.
BastardJack looks surprised. "I've ne'er heard of magic being bound to an item, and not a man."
Era_Khar'Kov says, "Then we strip him."
Eolo laughs.
[7thsea] BastardJack exclaims, "Hah!"
Eolo says, "can't be too careful."
BastardJack exclaims, "Hah!"
Keestake says, "I told you 'bout the ring, didn't I? anyway, let's go."
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "IDLAC"
CharlesAlgun says (to Jack), "Wasn't there some ring tha-- yes, yes."
Era_Khar'Kov says, "Better one of us has it, than let it fall in the wrong hands again."
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "Apparently I skimmed that part of the transcript."
CharlesAlgun says, "Bjorg mentioned the ring to me yesterday, but he didn't say what was supposed to be so special about it, exactly..."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "I did too."
DiegoValdez follows Keestake.
[7thsea] Federico says, "Keestake told me and Bjorg. Bjorg quiclky began running around the temple looking for it."
Keestake starts trudging
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun was exploring during that part of it, so he wasn't paying attention to that.
CharlesAlgun follows along.

Eolo rechecks the fallen archers once more, loads his crossbow, and continues on.
[7thsea] Cadiz asks, "Wait--do we still have dramatic wounds?"
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Er--flesh wounds."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun presumably still has three of them.
[7thsea] Keestake asks, "yeah, can I have a flesh wound roll call?"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "But our guide is moving on, and I don't feel like being left behind..."
[7thsea] Miseri says, "Still crippled here...."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "Three dramatics."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "I have a dramatic wound."
[7thsea] Miseri says, "Two dramatic"
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "No longer wounded."
CharlesAlgun notices Diego's limp, and offers him an arm for support.
[7thsea] Cadiz asks, "Does surgery clear old flesh wounds?"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "I thought flesh wounds went away automatically."
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Seems like it should."
[7thsea] Federico says, "Flesh wounds are cleared after battle."
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Ah, excellent."
DiegoValdez accepts the arm gratefully.
[7thsea] Cadiz frowns.
[7thsea] Keestake says, "right, all happy"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "Are the surgeons able to work on more people, or is there a limited number of people they can help?"
[7thsea] Cadiz asks, "Wait--what use is first aid, then?"
[7thsea] Federico says, "You didn't answer my questoin about operating on Diego."
[7thsea] Eolo says (to Cadiz), "you can do it during battle"
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "It helps *during* the battle."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "it takes an action"
[7thsea] Keestake asks (of Federico), "ah, can you do it again you mean?"
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Ah. Have to remember that, then."
[7thsea] Keestake says, "hmm"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "you'll still have to wait abit"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "maybe by midday you can"
Federico says (to Diego), "I'm afraid I can't help you. The old wound is too fresh."
[7thsea] BastardJack says, "How late are we playing tonight? It's quarter after two here."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "anyway, we can stop"
Federico says, "You must learn to stay out of harm's way."
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Yeah, we're up for quitting here, too."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "lemme just describe the manor, I guess"
[7thsea] Miseri says, "yeah, I can still do a fair amount of damage ... let's wait for a 3rd wound first."
CharlesAlgun looks around. "Eolo, though... can you help him?"
Eolo says, "I suppose I could use some attention, at our next stop."
Ghogg says, "As you pass the next hill...you see an H shaped building...very long and low"
DiegoValdez grins ruefully at Federico. "Not an easy thing to do, in my line of work.
Ghogg says, "IT seems to be built of granite."
Federico looks at Eolo, I can take care of you now, I think.

Ghogg says, "The exterior looks like it has stood up to the elements better than the temple. Unlike the temple, all the exterior windows have solid-looking, if rusty, iron bars across them."
CharlesAlgun stops, and looks at the bushes they just passed through.
Federico easily diagnoses the wound.

CharlesAlgun turns back, and kneels down.
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "nice 10s"
DiegoValdez asks (of Charles), "What is it?"
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Wow, that is one cleaned wound ;-)"
CharlesAlgun says (to Diego), "Oh, nothing..."
CharlesAlgun secrets something slightly wriggly into his pocket.
Ghogg says, "You can see pirates at opposite ends of the manor"
CharlesAlgun returns to the others.
Ghogg says, "There's a cluster of guards in front of the entrance to the northwest wing, and a trickle of traffic between there and the barracks, a little northwest of the manor"
DiegoValdez raises an eyebrow, and makes sure to be standing on the other side from Charles' wriggly pocket.
Federico, with a flick of his wrist tears off a piece of cloth, and expertly wraps it around Eolo's arm. Not a drop of blood is spilled.
Eolo grits his teeth, and is surprised to find out it isn't so bad.
Ghogg says, "There's a somewhat larger cluster of guards to the southeast...and a corresponding trickle between there and the stables"
Federico says (to Eolo), "I am getting better."
Ghogg says, "The stables are a little to the southeast"
[7thsea] Eolo says, "(also, the wound was in my buttocks, not my arm ;)"
Era_Khar'Kov says, "I'd like to check the stables."
Ghogg says, "The terrain around the manor is rolling, with great pathes of grasses and weeds and scrub growing all over."
Era_Khar'Kov says, "Afer Eolo kills all the pirates, of course."
BastardJack, crouching in the bracken, surveys the manor. "I think we'd best scout around a bit before charging in there."
Eolo laughs.
Keestake points at a depression in the ground which runs a few hundred feet southwest of the manor, almost all the way up to the southwest wing
Eolo says, "I would rather be under-estimated than over-estimated."
Eolo says (to BastardJack), "it might be a good idea not to be taken by surprise this time, yes."
Keestake says, "We can creep along there, and that window I mentioned has the bars loose"
Ghogg says, "also, one more roll, and we quit"
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Oh, one last point of order--did the archers have anything but bows? (we did check)"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "Arrows."
[7thsea] Ghogg says (to Eolo), "4k3"
Era_Khar'Kov asks, "Like some guilders or coppers, perhaps?"
Ghogg says, "Nope."

[7thsea] Cadiz says, "It's the mystery roll, to keep us in suspense."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "yeah, that's what I figured."
[7thsea] Federico says, "Like Greg's numbers on #survivor."
