Ghogg says, "In the room are toppled bookshelves and masses of rotting paper and leather covers--hundreds of books, all absolutely ruined"
Bjorg says, "Yaarrrgh, what a stench"
Ghogg says (to CharlesAlgun), "it seems to go all the way to the southeast through the door at the end"
Ghogg says (to Charles), "that leads outside"
[7thsea] Bjorg says, "eeeagh, outside"
Federico says, "The loss of knowledge is a loss of self."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "Can I see out, through a keyhole or transom or gap in the wood or anything?"
Ghogg says (to Bjorg), "On the east wall is a large (8 feet tall, floor to ceiling) wooden plaque"
Ghogg says, "Only slightly damaged by pirate and orc wepons...it's a piece of relief scuplture showing a harpooner (full size) drawing back his weapon to release at a distant whale"
Ghogg says, "The plaque has been pulled bodily from the wall, presumably by those seaching for secret doors, and leaned against the wall"
Federico searches for anything salvageable among the books.
[7thsea] Ghogg says (to Charles), "no, you can't see out...you can hear guards outside...those were the ones you saw before"
Eolo walks in to see if the harpoon is takable.

Bjorg looks at the plaque ... "Intersting, but of no use to us now."

Ghogg says, "actually, it is...it's a separate piece, inlaid into the wood"
CharlesAlgun stands quietly, and places his ear to the door, trying to figure out anything about the guards, like how many are gathered there.

Ghogg says, "It's been painted to look like part of the plaque, but it isn't"
[7thsea] Bjorg says, "woo, sneaky"
Ghogg says, "The harpoon head pops open and you see something inside"

Federico looks over at Eolo.
Bjorg wonders why the Vodacce is poking about some old plaque, and moves on to the next room (C, if this was B).
Ghogg says (to Eolo), "it looks sort of like a spear, but it isn't"
Ghogg says, "you recognize it as a javelin"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "Assuming I learn nothing new by trying to listen to the pirates..."
Ghogg says, "there's strange writing on the outside"
Federico says (to Eolo), "An interesting hiding place."
Eolo nods.
CharlesAlgun heads back up to the EW hallway and enters the first open door -- presuably room 'C', where Bjorg is.
Ghogg says (to Bjorg), "the next room contains a massive oaken table and not much else...also 20 damaged chairs, also some empty bottles of rum"
Eolo says (to Federico), ""Can you read this? I myself am not literate.""

Ghogg says (to Bjorg), "it looks like there was a party of some sorts here"
Federico holds the spear and tries to read the inscription.

CharlesAlgun grabs an empty bottle, and follows Bjorg.

Keestake has entered from behind the curtain.

Bjorg steps out of the room, and mentions to the others around, "There's a mess of bottles in that room if any of ye need a bit o' sharp glass for anything.

Federico hands the javelin back to Eolo. "This javelin has been enchanted by ancient magicians who attempted to give it unholy power..."

Ghogg says, "looks like it was meant for eating"

Federico says (to Eolo), "You're 'prayer' has been apparently answered. Let's hope that it does not come back to haunt you."
Bjorg follows Charles out to room 'A'.

Federico returns to the corridor.
Ghogg says (to Charles), "There's the moldy remains of a rug on the floor...three smashed desks...two ruined tables."
Eolo stares at the javelin again.
Eolo says, "perhaps it has."
Bjorg runs into Federico in the corridor.
Eolo follows Federico.
CharlesAlgun searches the desks.
Federico exclaims, "Watch where you're going!"
Bjorg asks (of Federico), "You seemed to stay in that stench-ridden room a while - find something of note?"
[7thsea] Bjorg says, "heh, i'll make SURE you tell me :)"
[7thsea] Ghogg says (to cadiz), "ok, back to you"
Federico says, "A weapon was hidden in the plaque. Eolo has it."
Federico walks off to find Charles.
Keestake makes it to an unremarkable looking door...or at least just like the others...and passes inside

Cadiz follows.
CharlesAlgun, if he finds nothing in the wreckage of the desks, lifts one end of the rug o look underneath.
Bjorg shrugs, and checks to see if Charles found anything interesting.

Ghogg says, "No trap door."

[7thsea] Eolo asks, "have all the rooms in this hallway been inspected?"

CharlesAlgun drops the rug. "There's an old Avalonian legend about a agical kingdom found under a trap door, hidden under a rug."

Keestake says (to Cadiz), "it has two broken desks..shelving units with trays filled with mold and scraps of paper"

Keestake points at some shelving...there...behind there
Bjorg takes a look at the room, sees it is worthless, and goes to check the last room he hasn't seen (the shrine thingy).
Keestake says, "This is part of a set of record and scribe rooms"
CharlesAlgun goes out to the hall, and crosses into the chapel.
Keestake says, "Mainly just bookkeepin' stuff"
Cadiz nods.
Ghogg says (to Charles), "Do I have to redescribe? :-)"

Ghogg says, "Ok"
Federico has already seen the chapel, and has no desire to return. He moves off to the area where Brother Francesco went.

Cadiz studies the bit behind the shelving to see if it looks like it's been operated recently.

Bjorg goes to alert the others.

[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks (of Ghogg), "I *did* hear something on the other side, right?"
[7thsea] Bjorg hopes Diego hasn't just been bored out of his skull ... oh good.

[7thsea] Bjorg says, "Okay, whoever isn't in the hallway or one of the adjacent rooms, I didn't see where you went and I'm not venturing out at random to find you."
Ghogg says (to Charles), "yes, there seems to be a room there"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks (of Bjorg), "But you should be able to tell which door is open, right?"
[7thsea] Bjorg says, "So consider yourselves un-alerted."
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "no, it wasn't operated recently"
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "there's actually alot of dust"
[7thsea] Federico says, "Then you're not doing a very good job of finding us then."
[7thsea] Bjorg says (to charles), "I just mean wherever Cadiz and whoever followed him went. i lost track of that totally."
[Crows-Nest] Federico says, "Argh Redundant then."
[7thsea] Bjorg says, "and presumably Bjorg didn't see where they went."

Cadiz asks (of Federico), "This entrance doesn't look like it should be that difficult to open. The hard part will be retrieving our fallen companions. Perhaps we could stir up a convenient fight between the red and green again?"
Bjorg returns to assist Charles with this door.
Keestake says, "Like I said, just lotsa noise."
CharlesAlgun looks around. "The others... they have grown smaller, have they?"
CharlesAlgun glances to the floor.
[7thsea] Bjorg asks, "can we roll wits to see what the sound is?"
Ghogg says, "There's a hole in the corner"
CharlesAlgun says, "I can hardly see them."
Ghogg says, "It looks like you can put a finger in it and pull"
[7thsea] Federico says, "I think that the greens have been destroyed by their former allies."
CharlesAlgun shrugs, "Well, stand ready. There may be someone back here..."
Bjorg says (to Charles), "They've grown too small for me to spot out there - perhaps they appear larger in some other place in this accursed manor."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "Is it ours with the hole, or theirs with the hole?"
Cadiz says (to Federico), "My impression was that there were still pockets of both groups around the island."
Bjorg stands ready.
CharlesAlgun quietly pulls at the little hole...
Ghogg says (to Charles), "There's a room beyond"
Federico says (to Cadiz), "Well, the dominant group would be the ones holding the castle. Unless the alternate faction launches an outside attack, then we must assume there will be none."
CharlesAlgun looks into the room beyond.
Ghogg says, "It's got some broken sofas and another door in the back. Also, one to the west that looks like a corridor door"
Ghogg says, "er, door in the back = to the north"
CharlesAlgun looks inside for any signs of life, and beckons for Bjorg to follow.
Bjorg says, "A secret passage to a perfectly normal room. This manor isn't just cursed, it's been built by a madman."
Bjorg follows behind Charles.
CharlesAlgun says, "Hmm, broken as well... it seems the pirates know of this place..."

Bjorg searches the room - royal quarters are bound to have _something_ interesting hiding about.

[7thsea] Federico says, "Dude, blame mister, I'm to tired to go look for the others in the big, bad manor."
CharlesAlgun searches inside the cushions as well, then.
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "well, they are making enough noise that you can find them"
Eolo walks back to the chapel and begins investigating.
Bjorg goes up to the north door and listens for any sign of piratey action on the other side.

CharlesAlgun says, "It looks like someone either really wanted to see some expensive things destroyed, or else expected to find something in here..."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "well, sort of excellent :-)"
Federico follows the ruckus into the new room.
CharlesAlgun looks up. "Welcome to the king's vestibule."
Ghogg says (to Bjorg), "there's no keyhole"

Ghogg asks (of Bjorg), "are you just opening it?"
Ghogg says, "Ok"

Bjorg realizes he was a bit louder than he thought, and tones it down.

CharlesAlgun examines the decorations on the walls.
Cadiz says, "Actually, I see no reason why they'd be attracted to the sound of the passage opening."
[7thsea] Federico asks, "Should I make an etiquette check too?"
Bjorg puts his ear to the second door, and listens for anyone on the other side (or peeks through a keyhole if there is one).

Cadiz searches his room for anything of note in the meantime.
Bjorg comes back to the room everyone else is in to the south. He goes to the west door (to the corridor), opens it halfway and peeks out.

CharlesAlgun searches the walsl, comparing them to those in the previous room.
Bjorg asks (of Ghogg), "more doors on the west side?"
Ghogg says, "Yes."
Ghogg says, "It looks like the other corridors you have been in"
Ghogg says, "Actually, d'oh, wait, scratch that"
Ghogg says, "There's no western door in the second room :/"

Ghogg says, "It's 4 doors on the west side of the northwest corridor"
CharlesAlgun heads through the next north door.
Ghogg says, "Two on the east side...the ONE that connects to the antechamber and one way to the north"
[7thsea] Federico says, "At this point, I have lost all concept of direction, so until further notice, I'm following Charles."
