Ghogg says, "Could do it in a few days."

CharlesAlgun heads up to the deck, to look up in that area.
Bjorg heads out onto the deck after overhearing Mister Bly's warning to Charles.

Ghogg says, "Teneborc is of medium size, the only major city in Breg on the coast. It's close enough to the Inish Channel to receive merchants passing between the Isles."

Ghogg says, "The sun rises to reveal cobbled streets and a generally calm atmosphere -- no sense at all of being a place criminals would feel comfortable in."

Cadiz signs in with the dockmaster, if this town is big enough to have one.
Whizzard disappears through an invisible gap in the MUD. You think you may have heard the sounds of chatting before the gap closed again.

Ghogg asks (of Cadiz), "Interesting vessel you have there. What kinda cargo you carrying?"

(From Ghogg) Logan rubs his sideburns absently.

Cadiz shakes Logan's hand.
Cadiz says, "Mostly pots and pans. A few spices."
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "Probably could catch some buyers for the spices."
Ghogg says, "Pots and pans, not sure, you'll have to search."
Cadiz asks, "Any recommendations about where?"
Ghogg says, "Well, there's a chain of merchants up on the north side. You can also locate various eating establishments, I s'pose, none spring to mind."
Cadiz says, "The ship's new to us, but seems to have had an interesting past. Ever hear of [Insert old name of ship here]."
CharlesAlgun asks (of Logan), "What would you say are some good exports to pick up, while we're here?"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "Flying Hook."
Ghogg says (to Charles), "Well, everyone's a bit tight at the fist lately, since the fuss with the taxes. Should be able to dump the spices, like I say, just because some people would hoard 'em."
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "Nope, dunno 'bout it."
Cadiz looks up from filling out a form. "Taxes?"
Ghogg says, "Some regional noble types fussing over who from the region owes who. Right now there's two claiming tax authority so nobody's payin' because nobody knows who to pay or how much it'll be."
[7thsea] Cadiz asks, "Is there a concept of sales tax here?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "not sales tax"
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "Import tax?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "the concept exists"
CharlesAlgun asks, "Import/export taxes?"
Ghogg says, "Well, see, those may or may not apply. We got the import taxes mostly figured out -- Selkrik handles those for sure -- and you'd think he'd be able to stomp in for the export too but there's a bloody mess about it."
CharlesAlgun nods, "Ah."
Cadiz asks, "So all we personally need to worry about is the import tax, unless we try to buy something. Right?"
Ghogg says, "Everyone wantin' their collection fee skimmed off the top."
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "Well, if I were you, I'd say just ignore it for now, no enforcement whatsoever because of the mess."
Ghogg asks, "Right now, anywhere else you needed me to point you to?"
Cadiz asks, "Is there a Vaticine church in the area?"
Ghogg blink

Ghogg says, "Why in bloomin' -- oh, actually, there is a House of Mercy as they call it. An extension of the Church without being big enough to be one."
Ghogg asks, "Why, lookin' to get converted?"
Cadiz grins at the man. "Already happened, I'm afraid."
Ghogg says, "Hm. Glad I haven't been in a swearin' mood."
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "Anyway, right close, just south of here, big red house, large sign."
Cadiz says, "I've been on a ship for a while now."
Cadiz nods. "Thank you."

Cadiz asks, "Well, I'm off to the House of Mercy. Where can I find you guys afterwards?"
Ghogg says (to Bjorg), "The first immediately apparent one is called The Golden Egg."
CharlesAlgun asks (of Cadiz), "Want anyone there to back you up?"
Bjorg says (to Cadiz), "I'll be in that pub, The Golden Egg. or if their ale is weak, back on the ship."
Cadiz says, "I didn't want to ask, but if you're volunteering, I'd be glad of the company."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "Should we send JackBot out to sell our spices, or should we RP that ourselves?"

Cadiz says, "I received this letter recently, asking me to report to a Vaticine official."
Ghogg says, "Ah! I recognize your name. I received a missive regarding some things to mention if you passed by."
Cadiz says, "That sounds like what I'm here for."

Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "Apparently they've been trying rather hard to contact you already, they had one courier who tried to meet you back in Carleon but some creature of Legion attacked him. Sad business."
[7thsea] (from Bjorg) Official says (to Cadiz), "GO TO HELL"
[7thsea] Bjorg says, "timing"
Ghogg says, "In fact, the missive seemed to regard you as an...ah...magnet, for creatures of Legion."
Cadiz blinks.
Ghogg says (to Cadiz), "Have you been dabbling in dark powers, sir? Perhaps you need absolution after all."
Cadiz says, "I have been involved with strange business, but I assure you that I take no step without the assurance of Theus."
Ghogg says, "Rather an interesting read, although it definitely was underpinned by the markings of evil. Some business regarding a talon and a giant salamander back in Montaigne."
Ghogg asks, "You did not feel it appropriate to immediately report these things to the Church?"
[7thsea] Cadiz asks, "Would that have been standard?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "Not precisely last time you checked Church policy, but--"
Cadiz asks, "It was not my understanding that the Church wished everything of that nature reported. Have things changed recently?"
Ghogg says, "Well, you see, the Church has been rather lax lately regarding rooting out sources of Legion. Fear, it seems. But there's been some changes in power structure, you can say, and new opinions arise."
Cadiz says, "Fear is one of Legion's greatest weapons."
Ghogg says, "Yes."
Cadiz asks, "Might I obtain a copy of this missive from you?"
Ghogg says, "Oh, and there's been another change of policy lately. It only regards a rumor about your activities, as the missive states, so I will not draw any judgements myself."
Ghogg says, "I'm afraid an unscupulous type made off with some of our documents just recently. I fortunately had the one regarding you fairly well in my memory."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun says, "Oh my."
[7thsea] CharlesAlgun asks, "The dog ate his paperwork?"
Cadiz says, "Well, let me write it down, so that I may be sure of the specifics."
Ghogg says, "Well, I can only presume an unscrupulous type. I awaken in the morning to find papers thrown about and unfiled."
Cadiz sits down, takes out a pen and paper.
CharlesAlgun frowns. "That's awful. Do you have idea idea who did it, or why?"
Ghogg says, "Some of them are missing, unfortunately the one regarding you. I will send back to the Church for a replacement."
Cadiz asks, "Every morning? A few mornings?"
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "awakene(d), sorry"
Ghogg says, "It was just last morning, in fact."
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "gotcha."
Cadiz says, "Huh."
Cadiz says, "At any rate, the missive."
Cadiz holds his pen to the paper expectantly.
Ghogg says, "I've been telling you--"
Ghogg says, "They wish you to be more duties in reporting anything with the mark of Legion to the Church in mailed reportrs."

Ghogg says, "Not sure why this part was in here, but it stated specifically church policy had changed regarding the so-called magic of Ussuria."
Ghogg says, "First I'd heard of it too. Ussuria is generally ignored by the Church as a lost cause."
Cadiz says, "Well, I spent a great deal of time ministering to the Ussuran people."
Ghogg says, "But it said -- any further rumors of use will require direct investigation by the Inquisitors. It is now being treated as a work of Legion rather than ignored. Like I said, it's mystified me, since looking at you, you could not be the type to use it yourself."
Ghogg says, "I suppose it was just a corrolary to their previous comment that they were going to be more vigorous in their research on Legion's forces."
Cadiz nods.
Ghogg frowns.
Cadiz says, "Also, should I return to that country, it will be forewarned with that information."
Ghogg says, "Yes, I suppose if you return ministering. In any case, that is the information I was to convey. I was also supposed to interrogate you regarding the matters but you can merely write a letter regarding it and drop it by, I'll be sure it comes to the proper hands."
Cadiz stands and nods. "I'll have a copy to you this afternoon at the latest."
[7thsea] Ghogg says, "you got off easy seeing a minor church official rather than one who likes interrogations :-)"
[7thsea] Cadiz says, "Yay me! ;-)"

Ghogg says, "There was language implying so in the letter. I'm afraid I don't remember it exactly."
Cadiz says, "Do you know the name of the person killed in Carelon? I should like to pray for him tonight."

Ghogg says, "Oh, and if you are curious on the theft, our dockmaster serves as an amateur constable of sorts. We don't have enough crime for a regular force and such."
