Federico says (to Era), "I would feel improper impinging on the local pastor, in addition, I do not know who here still retains the true faith. Such matters have become confused in these recent years."
Era_Khar'Kov says (to Diego), "He and I might follow different deities, but regardless of the name you follow, knowing there is a greater power that cares for you can make all the difference."
Gamemaster says, "Where's Maxwell? I was informed he was with you."

DiegoValdez says, "Could we not discuss religious matters right now? I find it somewhat uncomfortable ... especially considering we are on the land of the War of the Cross."
Eolo shrugs.
Eolo says (to Franz), "take us to Maxwell, then."
Era_Khar'Kov says (to Federico), "As I said, we believe differently.  I believe only Theus, or whomever you follow, can determine whether someone's faith is 'true.'"
Gamemaster says, "Squire says, "I'm sorry, but you'll have to wait until after the meeting.""
Gamemaster says, "Squire says, "This way, then.""
Eolo asks (of Man), "do you want us to pass a message along?"
Era_Khar'Kov says (to Diego), "As you wish."
DiegoValdez asks (of Bulkyman), "Who shall we say is waiting for him?"
DiegoValdez rises as he speaks, ready to follow the squire.
Federico says (to Era), "Theus reserves judgement for himself, we his ministers on Thea can only be guided by his instructions as given through His prophets, and through those whom he has chosen to serve as Heirophant."
Gamemaster says, "Bulky man says, "I'll wait. I'm Nicklaus, by the way. I never did get who the group he was travelling with was -- who are you?""
Federico says (to Nick), "Friends."
Federico says (to Nick), "I am sure Maxwell will be happy to introduce us."
Federico follows the squire.
Eolo follows Federico.

Giovanna wanders after the others.

Eolo looks to see if Giovanna is looking any better.
Giovanna looks somewhat improved.
DiegoValdez walks beside Giovanna.
Era_Khar'Kov asks if Giovanna is feeling more normal.
Gamemaster says, "A stern looking foyer, not much in the way of decoration."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "she'll be back up to giving withering glances in no time."
Giovanna says (to Era), "A bit."
DiegoValdez says, "Hm. The ascetic look."

Gamemaster says, "hm..."
Eolo nods in approval at the decor.
Gamemaster asks, "do we have an appointed mapmaker?"

Giovanna looks around, thinking of the Marquis' house.
Gamemaster says, "it's five sided, with a short south wall which has the door and then four diaganal walls which extend out abit longer"
Gamemaster says, "there's exits through each one"
Gamemaster says, "the squire leads you through the southeast one, which is a lounge/waiting room of some sort, although it doesn't have alot in the way of comfort...it does have a burning fireplace"
Gamemaster says, "as well as some heads on the walls that seem to be hunting trophies"
[7thsea] Eolo says, "if I'd known I had to do a pentagon in ascii, I would have said no."

Eolo says, "one can always sing a song of swords, I fancy. but yes."
Giovanna shoots a startled glance at Diego at this reference to the ancient Vodacce epic.
Era_Khar'Kov asks (of Giovanna), "What is it?"
Gamemaster says, "Nickolaus enters in."
Gamemaster says, "He walks in a slow circle, glancing at the weapons on the wall."
DiegoValdez sings a few lines from a martial Eisen song (are there any other kind of Eisen song?).
Giovanna says (to Era), "I only know the reference because of my aunt -- an old tale of the foundation of an Empire..."
Gamemaster says, "Nickolaus does a sideway glance at Eolo."
Era_Khar'Kov says (to Giovanna), "You'll have to tell me the tale sometime.  I enjoy old legends."
[7thsea] Giovanna asks, "hmm.  How would one do a Virgil-analog in Theah?"
Eolo nods to Nickolaus, and steps over.
DiegoValdez says (to Giovanna), "Hm? Perhaps you should read about it. It was one of the first things we learnt in University."

DiegoValdez looks over at Nicklaus and Eolo. Thinks, "hah, Eolo certainly is the popular fellow..."
Eolo grins.
Eolo says, "I am pleased to be remembered for that"

[7thsea] Eolo says, "but of course he was foiled by the senators with their ancient syrne magics"
Gamemaster says, "Nickolaus says, "Yes, you were one of Umberto's students, I remember that.""
Gamemaster says, "I spent most of my time with the axe. A very businesslike weapon."
Eolo nods. "I admire the efficiency."
Eolo says, "I spent a little time doing axe-training, but most of my time .. elsewhere."
[Crows-Nest] Era_Khar'Kov says, "afk"
Gamemaster asks, "Now, how'd you end up with someone like Maxwell?"
Eolo shrugs. "Fate spins strange tapestries. I was in Montaigne, as was he, and was looking for momentary occupation, as was he. How do you know him?"
Gamemaster says, "I'm afraid I have no personal knowledge of the man."
Eolo asks, "then why so urgent to speak with him?"
Gamemaster says, "I'm just here to follow up on some business he apparently started with an associate of mine."
Eolo asks, "in Montaigne?"
Gamemaster says, "In Dore, yes."
Eolo nods.
Eolo says, "That is indeed where I know him from."
DiegoValdez looks up, intrigued.
[7thsea] Eolo says, "feel free to walk over and I'll introduce you"
Eolo says, "speaking of Umberto, have you seen him lately? I am in the area, as you see, and was thinking of looking up some of my old teachers"
Gamemaster says, "Umberto? Hmm..\"
DiegoValdez strolls over to Eolo and Nick.
Gamemaster says, "Actually, yes, he stopped by right before I left Sieger."
Gamemaster says, "Maxwell and Lowenherz enter"
Eolo says, "Diego, Nickolaus. Diego has bailed me out of any number of scrapes, and is a fine hand with a blade. Nickolaus is an old acquaintance from my academy."
Eolo looks around.
DiegoValdez straightens his cummerbund and stands straight.
Maxwell introduces his friends and the Eisenfu"rst.
Gamemaster says, "Nikolaus says, "Ah, I have been looking for you. Have you filed Lowenherz in on the details? And who am I negotiating with?""
[Crows-Nest] Era_Khar'Kov says, "back."
DiegoValdez says (to Nick), "A pleasure to meet you, senor."
Gamemaster says, "A Castllian? How interesting."
Federico bows.
Gamemaster says, "Sieger has certain...feelings...when it comes to Castillians."
Gamemaster says, "I personally don't care either way, but I'd rather not become friends, if you know what I mean."
DiegoValdez says, "Ah, we'll keep this purely business, then."
Gamemaster says, "Nickolaus says, "Oh, I am ahead of myself. I am Nickolaus Hertz, a representative of Sieger, and I'm hearing regarding some business with my associate Macmillan you apparently started.""
Maxwell says (to Nickolaus), "Aha, how prompt. I've just now spoken with Lo"wenherz, and you may deal with him directly."
Gamemaster asks, "Yes, how good. Shall we retire to quieter chambers, then?"
Gamemaster says, "Lowenhertz says, "I have a room in back that will be suitable. Let us go.""
Gamemaster says, "Lowenherz and Nickolaus depart"
Eolo says (to Nickolaus), "perhaps you will look me up later and we will continue our talk."
Gamemaster says, "Nickolaus nods and continues"
DiegoValdez says (to Maxwell), "I suppose I shall have to speak to the squire to arrange an appointment."
Maxwell says (to Diego), "Hm? Oh, yes, yes. Later."
Gamemaster says, "Franz enters."
Gamemaster asks, "Can I get you anything?"
DiegoValdez says (to Franz), "Si, senor. An appointment to speak with Senor Lowenherz would be much appreciated."
Gamemaster says, "I'll see what I can do, sir."
Gamemaster says, "He's a busy man."
DiegoValdez says (to Franz), "Danke. Gracias. Merci."
Gamemaster says, "Franz goes."
Gamemaster says, "anyway, you are all alone now"
Gamemaster asks (of Maxwell), "you caught the room description, right?"
[7thsea] Maxwell says, "Um, most of it, I think."
Eolo asks (of Maxwell), "you aren't going to tell me he keeps a drachen head on the wall?"
Federico says (to Eolo), "I don't think it's a drachen."
DiegoValdez looks at the ...odd... head. "So that is a drachen?
Eolo asks, "no? despite the scales?"
[7thsea] Maxwell asks, "Do I know what that is?"
Maxwell says, "It was some sort of three-headed sea creature, I hear."
Eolo says, "my"
Federico says (to Eolo), "It looks like a sea...yes."
Eolo says, "I'm surprised there aren't three trophies up"
Maxwell says, "As a youth, Lo"wenherz went on some expedition to find it. Apparently one noble got each head."
Eolo says, "aha."
DiegoValdez says, "Fascinating."
DiegoValdez says, "They seem to take fighting and hunting very seriously here."
Maxwell says, "I'd like to ask you all to keep open eyes while we're here."
Federico says (to Maxwell), "How went your meeting with the EisenFaust."
DiegoValdez asks (of Maxwell), "Open eyes? Huh, the last time someone told us to keep our eyes open ... are you expecting trouble?"
Maxwell says, "It seems someone's been using me as a piece in an unusual plan, and it would be most useful to find evidence of who is arranging these things."
Maxwell says, "Trouble? It may be ... but I don't even know what these people intend."
Era_Khar'Kov says (to Maxwell), "I may not be the best at seeing it far in advance, but I can deal with it once its here.  Giovanni may need to give me a heads-up."
[7thsea] Gamemaster says, "[do we have a Giovanna btw? she's been quiet]"
[7thsea] Giovanna says, "I'm here"
[7thsea] Gamemaster says, "k"
Federico asks (of Maxwell), "WHat does this 'plan' entail? And to what ends?"
DiegoValdez says, "Hm. It's certainly annoying to be played for a puppet."
Eolo says (to Diego), "I am sure you are too clear-sighted to ever be in such a situation, senor."
(From Gamemaster) You hear, faintly, the sound of arguing in a room far to the north
Maxwell says, "I'd rather not say too much without Lo"wenherz' permission ... but it began in Dore, and may end in war."
DiegoValdez says (to Eolo), "I? I would hope so ... I hate treachery."
Eolo glances at Maxwell, and then north.
Era_Khar'Kov says, "But finding the strings, and cutting them, can be fun."
[Crows-Nest] Maxwell says, "Hey, that rhymes."
Federico asks (of Maxwell), "Well that will undoubtedly limit our observational prowess. Could you possibly tell us for what we should be watching?"
[Crows-Nest] Eolo exclaims, "he's the poetry-slinging diplomat!"
DiegoValdez looks in the direction of the argument. Hm.
Gamemaster says, "[that's actually 'looking at the wall' relative to where you are']"
DiegoValdez says (to Eolo), "Your old friend seems to be foregoing diplomacy...."
Eolo says, "the axe students were always quite straightforward."
Maxwell says, "For now, just watch for anyone acting suspiciously. I'll speak with Lo"wenherz about letting you in, although I don't know what to watch for myself, yet."
DiegoValdez says (to Eolo), "Ah, the best sort of approach, I think."
(From Gamemaster) The yelling is clearer now, and you hear someone walking
Eolo is listening to the yelling, then.
Federico also listens.
[eisen] Gamemaster says, "It's sort of like 'You cannot deceive us with your lies! Sieger will hear of this!'"
Maxwell sighs, and sits down.
Gamemaster says, "Nicklaus storms into the foyer"
[7thsea] DiegoValdez asks, "Would Diego know that Sieger technically belongs to Castille after the Weissberg treaty?"
[Crows-Nest] Era_Khar'Kov exclaims, "Era-bot is going to have to take over soon.  Its midnightish.  Being able to play for 3 hours (rather than my usual 2) has been worlds-o-fun!"
Federico says (to Nick), "Theus' peace be with you."
Gamemaster says, "He leaves, opening the door himself"
[Crows-Nest] Gamemaster says, "we are almost done, anyway"
DiegoValdez asks (of Nick), "Trouble?"
[Crows-Nest] Era_Khar'Kov says, "then I'll try to stick around a bit."
Gamemaster says (to Diego), "He left before he could hear you."
DiegoValdez says, "Hm. Now, there's a man with trouble in mind...."
DiegoValdez looks out the door at Nick's departure and shrugs.
Maxwell says (to Diego), "Hm."
Gamemaster says, "if Maxwell isn't going to say anything else enlightening, that's it for tonight"
[7thsea] DiegoValdez exclaims, "Wahh!"
Eolo asks (of Maxwell), "by the way, who took the other two heads?"
Maxwell asks, "is Lo"wenherz here?"
Gamemaster says, "No"
Maxwell says (to Eolo), "I don't really know."
Maxwell says, "well, nothing else until I have another word with him, so."
Eolo nods.
Eolo asks, "and where are we to stay?"
Gamemaster says, "[it's like, lunchtime]"
DiegoValdez asks, "At the nearest inn, perhaps?"
[7thsea] Eolo says, "I'd still like to drop off some stuff. but I can wait."
Federico gets ready to eat more pig, and thinks: "How did I let Diego talk me into this."
Maxwell says, "Oh, I'm sure there's room for you here."
DiegoValdez says (to Maxwell), "Really? Well, that's most hospitable."
Maxwell says, "In fact, I'll go ask about that now."
Eolo says, "and, hopefully, they are used to accomodating and feeding foreigners here"
Maxwell trudges out, unless the GM is stopping the scene.
Gamemaster says, "[yes, stopped]"
[7thsea] Gamemaster asks, "any questions?"
DiegoValdez says (to Eolo), "When in a foreign country, I like to sample the local foods."
[7thsea] Eolo says, "just general what-is-going-on, but that'll get straightened out I'm sure"
[7thsea] DiegoValdez asks, "There was a big act cut out involving monster-hunting, wasn't there?"
[7thsea] Gamemaster says, "just a random thing I threw in"
[7thsea] Maxwell asks, "Which monster?"
