[colonial] PerrySimm says, "Log on."

[colonial] Governor says, "Hm ... just short one Roger and one Alonso."

[colonial] RogerCarbol says, "Very sorry, sir."

Alonso has connected.

[colonial] Governor will wait out Whiz.

[colonial] Brianna says, "greetings and salutations. lpsmith has left the building."

[colonial] Governor exclaims, "sARRa!"

[colonial] Brianna says, "in the flesh, so to speak."

[colonial] Alonso says, "You were not missing an Alonso. He knew he did not need to be around until Roger was done"

[colonial] Governor says, "heh"

[colonial] Alonso says, "And actually, if we can delay but a few more moments, I'll be back."

[colonial] Governor says, "well, while Reggie's wrapping up ... let's see what Tymen and Alonso have been up to while Clemm's been outlining his plans to Brianna...."

[colonial] Governor says, "or just Tymen."

[colonial] RogerCarbol says, "I'm not done; I can't make it tonight. Sorry."

[colonial] Governor says, "ergh"

[colonial] Governor asks, "seriously?"

Tymen was, to the best of his knowledge, heading to breakfast when Brianna and the captain were talking.

[colonial] Governor says, "arr. well. assume reggie hides out in his room, i guess...."

Brianna is rapidly strategizing.

[colonial] Brianna asks, "should we postpone?"

Governor says (to Tymen), "Breakfast on board ship ... not the tastiest of meals, but it should have to do ... but apparently it isn't served this morning."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Might not be easy to find another time."

Glimm arrives at home.

Tymen hrms.

Tymen peeks intot he kitchen.

Governor says (to Tymen), "No-one in the galley."

Tymen says, "Ah, good."

[colonial] Governor asks, "I'm okay with Reggie not being here for this session, at least until you get to port. What does everyone else think?"

Tymen heads in anyway, and starts searching cupboards and hooks for something to requisition.

[colonial] Tymen says, "I'm up for what the GM's up for."

[colonial] Brianna says, "same here."

Governor says (to Tymen), "Seems understocked. You'd think that a ship travelling all the way to the southern Mirror would have more food on board."

Tymen says, "Well, this won't do."

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Any rear exits, crew-only, from the galley?"

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "this being a sailing ship, the galley is pretty much right in the front of the ship. Not much else but some storage."

[colonial] Governor hopes Alonso gets back soon....

Tymen checks the storage, certain he must be missing something.

Tymen mutters to himself about underprepared ventures.

[colonial] Brianna asks, "is the captain still in the room with me?"

Governor says (to Tymen), "Hmm. Under a barrel, is a hidden compartment of some sort ... and now you're beginning to hear people banging on doors further back."

Tymen says, "Hmm."

[colonial] Governor says (to Brianna), "At the moment, yes...."

Tymen closes the galley door, then opens the compartment.

Governor says (to Brianna), "Captain Clemm stands and moves for the door. The two sailors beside him glare at you."

Brianna says (to Captain), "Allow me to clarify. While I am charged with seeing these people safely to their destination, the, ah, 'means', of their arrival is less of a priority, shall we say."

Governor says (to Tymen), "Plaques. The sort you put on a ship to identify them. "Santa Doriana", "Lucille", "The Albatross"...."

Tymen says, "Interesting. Looks like this ship changes more than its flag."

Tymen checks for anything else in there.

Governor says (to Brianna), "Clemm says, "Indeed? Well, I'm afraid I'm hardly prepared to make that journey myself, whatever their condition may be.""

[colonial] Tymen says, "Not a passage down there, I presume."

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "No."

Tymen, if he doesn't find anything else, moves the barrel back over the compartment.

[colonial] Alonso says, "(back)"

[colonial] Governor asks, "Yay Alonso. Where were you when we left off?"

[colonial] Alonso says, "I was nowhere. In my room, I suppose, reading."

(From Governor) Clemm says, "Well, are you with us or against us?"

Governor says (to Alonso), "Someone's banging on your door."

[colonial] Alonso says, "Though if I hear anything suspicious, I'm sure I'll go on reading."

Alonso exclaims, "A moment, please!"

Tymen heads back out to find someone to ask about breakfast.

Alonso closes the book and heads to the door. "Yes?" he says, opening it.

Governor says (to Tymen), "A loudly-protesting Dona Antonia is being hustled up to top deck."

Tymen follows.

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Hustled by sailors, or by the people she boarded with?"

[colonial] Alonso says, "Hustled...by *hustlers*."

Governor says (to Alonso), "The door is kicked wide open as you unlatch it, and a big sailor grabs you by the arm. "You. Topdeck. Now.""

Alonso says, "Of course. One moment, please, let me take my stick your captain has so generously provided me with."

Alonso turns, book still in hand, and goes to get his stick.

Alonso says, "I find it helps my balance on ship."

Governor says (to Alonso), "He isn't going to let you."

(From Governor) Sailor (to Alonso): "Where ye're goin' ye don't need balance."

Alonso asks, "Am I needed so urgently that I am not even allowed help?"

Alonso says, "Well, so be it. Lead on."

Tymen asks (of Hustlers), "What's going on here?"

Governor says (to Alonso), "He's dragging you out. Out in the hallway, you see other people being hustled topdeck. Perpetua, Carlotta, Rosita...."

[colonial] Governor asks, "and in the captain's cabin...?"

Alonso says, "Have we run aground, that we all must head to the deck? I didn't hear us hit anything."

Brianna pauses to strategize.

Governor says, "Nobody's answering any questions. How rude."

(From Governor) Clemm pauses, hand on door handle.

Tymen hurries after the hustlers, then. Hustles after them, even.

Tymen says (to Hustlers), "I think you might be a bit gentler with the lady, at least."

Governor says (to Tymen), "The sailor laughs in your face and smacks Dona Antonia upside the head."

Tymen exclaims, "Now see here!"

[colonial] Alonso asks, "Is that happening near me?"

Brianna says (to Clemm), "Then it seems following you is the best option I have. I'm with you."

Tymen draws his sword. Then immediately afterward realizes that was stupid. Enh, too late.

[colonial] Governor says, "By now most people are either topdeck or on their way there."

[colonial] Governor says (to Alonso), "if you want it to be."

[Crows-Nest] Eolo says, "hee hee"

[colonial] Alonso says, "Oh, do I ever."

Tymen says, "Unhand her this instant, brute."

Alonso grabs the sailor's arm. "My son, that is uncalled for. We are all doing as you ask."

Governor says (to Brianna), "One of the sailors sniggers and mutters something about Eisen honour. Clemm smiles and opens the door."

(From Governor) Sailor (to Alonso): "Aye? Then you can go first." He points at the plank jutting out over the side of the ship.

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 3k2: 9 7 4 | 16

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Is he still rough-handing la Dona?"

Alonso says, "I will gladly admit that I sometimes have trouble focusing on matters of an earthly nature"

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Or did he stop, to argue with Alonso?"

Alonso says, "but I do recall paying for passage all the way to land, not to the middle of the ocean"

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "They're rough-handling everybody."

(From Governor) Sailor (to Alonso): "The fares just went up and yer passage don't cover it no more."

Tymen pokes the sailor who's mistreating her, with the end of his sword. (Not hard, just to get his attention.) "I don't think you have any right to treat her that way. Desist, or I shall be forced to do something incredibly foolish."

Alonso says, "Hm. That doesn't seem quite fair."

Brianna heads out of the room.

Governor says (to Tymen), "The other sailors closest to you draw knives. Dona Perpetua faints dead away."

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Oh, good. She'll be safer down there. Probably.)"

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Also, should I roll initiative, or just start poking holes?)"

[colonial] Governor says, "If you start attempting to poke holes, we all roll initiative."

Tymen slashes at the hand of the knife nearest him.

[colonial] Alonso says, "I'd say that's a call for initiative if I've ever heard it."

[colonial] Governor says, "I guess we all roll initiative."

[7thsea] Tymen rolls 2 dice: 8 2

[colonial] Alonso asks, "Also, could we get a description of how many people there are and where we all are in relation to each other?"

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 2 dice: 3 5

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 3 dice: 4 8 8

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2 dice: 1 2

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2 dice: 10 7

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2 dice: 5 8

[colonial] Brianna says, "oops - that didn't count."

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 2 dice: 7 2

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2 dice: 4 9

[colonial] Alonso says, "I count three"

[colonial] Alonso says, "No, four."

Governor says, "ONE"

[colonial] Alonso asks, "So no description of where people are?"

(From Governor) Clemm curses at the sound of steel topdeck and hurries on up, leaving Brianna and his two minions behind.

[colonial] Tymen says, "(He hears the sound of steel before anyone has a chance to strike a blow? :) )"

[colonial] Governor says, "Oh right. Everyone is on deck except Brianna, Clemm and the two minions. Clemm is now, on ONE, emerging on deck."

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "Steel being drawn. Ah ... assume there was some hitting and parrying."

(From Tymen) Tink, tink... ting...

Governor says, "TWO"

Tymen slashes at the knife-holding hand nearest him.

Brianna draws her sword and lunges at the sniggering sailor.

[colonial] Tymen says, "If he's more than a brute, I'll take a raise for a called-shot."

[colonial] Tymen says, "If it's just a brute, enh, just a brute."

[colonial] Alonso asks, "I'm guessing people are focusing on Guy With a Sword?"

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "Brute. want 15"

[7thsea] Tymen rolls 6k3: 4 8 4 6 3 8 | 22

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 6k3: 1 10+10+3 8 7 9 8 | 40

Tymen brings his blade down hard on the sailor's arm.

[colonial] Tymen asks, "How many of them are there on deck?"

Governor says, "The sailor fails to move away quite in time and drops to his knees in shock. "Mommy...."."

[colonial] Governor asks (of Tymen), "maybe 20?"

[colonial] Tymen says, "Ah, a fair fight, then."

[colonial] Governor says (to Brianna), "Damage"

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 9k2: 2 5 7 2 7 3 7 8 2 | 15

[7thsea] Governor rolls 3k3: 4 9 2 | 15

Governor says, "Minion 1 snarls and whirls around, glaring at Brianna. Minion 2, a bit further ahead stops and looks back."

[colonial] Brianna asks, "I hit him, right?"

Governor says, "Clemm, topdeck, draws his sword, pauses, and points at Gina Martinez. "I want that ring." A pair of sailors push her towards a barrel."

[colonial] Governor says, "right."

Governor says, "THREE"

[Crows-Nest] Tymen wonders what happens if we win this fight. Er. Can the four of us run this ship?

[colonial] Alonso says, "If you'll let me, I'd like to take two sailors who are next to me but facing away (say, at Tymen), and clonk their heads together as hard as I can."

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Dirty Fighting?"

[colonial] Governor says (to Alonso), "sure."

[colonial] Alonso says (to Tymen), "Well, I have pugilism. But I'm not sure if head-clonking counts."

[colonial] Alonso says, "But, hey, no one said I wasn't Rash."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Mmm. Well, either way, you'll probably get good raises for them looking the wrong way."

Governor throws drama die at Alonso

Alonso steps forward and gently lifts his hands to either side of two sailors looking the other way, then tries to grab the sides of their heads and introduce themselves to each other.

[colonial] Alonso exclaims, "woo!"

[colonial] Brianna exclaims, "go alonso!"

Governor also throws a drama die at Tymen for starting the initiative.

[colonial] Tymen says, "Yay"

[colonial] Alonso asks, "What skill for this?"

[colonial] Governor says (to Alonso), "Um, call it straight finesse. Facing away: TN 5. +5 for there being two of them."

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 3k3: 7 10+9 6 | 32

Governor says (to Tymen), "Two of the brutes facing you with nasty knives and nastier expressions suddenly look a little lost, and then fall down."

Governor says, "FOUR"

Tymen blinks a moment, before seeing Alonso revealed.

Alonso says, "Won't let me have my staff indeed."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 6k2: 7 7 8 6 8 5 | 16

[colonial] Governor asks, "darnit. what was Tymen's TN?"

[colonial] Tymen says, "20, assuming Footwork"

Governor says, "The loutish sailors make a clumsy attempt at Tymen, but he skips out of the way just in time."

Tymen exclaims, "Wooha, tah! Weyho!"

Governor says, "Meanwhile, a pair of sailors are holding Gina's hand down on the top of the barrel. and another group is prodding Dona Antonia up onto the plank."

Governor says, "FIVE"

Alonso runs for the pair of sailors holding Gina and jabs at one, fists flying.

[colonial] Alonso asks, "Dare I ask what the TN for this is?"

[colonial] Alonso says, "(+10 for the jab, I know)"

[colonial] Governor says, "TN for one of the sailors is 15"

[colonial] Alonso says, "Whoo. Let's see how this goes, then."

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 6k3: 3 10+9 6 1 5 3 | 30

[colonial] Tymen says, "Yay"

[colonial] Alonso exclaims, "Ha! *Two* attacks!"

[colonial] Alonso says, "Both barehand, but still."

[colonial] Governor says, "Um. Seeing as how they're brutes...."

[colonial] Tymen hees.

[colonial] Governor says, "The two sailors fall into each other. Gina pulls her hand away just as Clemm's sword comes down onto the barrel (chop!) within inches of Alonso's left ear."

Governor says, "The two sailors fall into each other. Gina pulls her hand away just as Clemm's sword comes down onto the barrel (chop!) within inches of Alonso's left ear."

Governor says, "Meanwhile, down in the corridor"

[7thsea] Governor rolls 5k3: 3 3 10+5 5 7 | 27

Alonso exclaims (at Clemm), "Do be careful with that! You nearly took off my ear!"

[7thsea] Governor rolls 5k2: 8 1 9 2 6 | 17

[colonial] Governor says, "Wait, that's a knife he has...."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 4k2: 5 2 6 10+3 | 19

[colonial] Alonso says, "Mmm, yes, that's much better."

(From Governor) Clemm (to Alonso): "Next time there won't be a "nearly" about it"

[colonial] Governor asks (of Brianna), "Brawn check?"

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 4k4: 2 8 10+2 6 | 28

Governor says (to Brianna), "A touch! But that's all it is...."

Governor says, "SIX"

Governor says, "SEVEN"

Brianna strikes at the sailor again.

[colonial] Governor says, "hit"

[7thsea] Governor rolls 3k3: 5 6 7 | 18

Governor says, "The sailor gets it right across the chest ... doubly nasty ... and keels over backwards."

Governor says, "Behind him, the other sailor hesitates, and decides he could probably use Clemm's help abovedecks. And goes scampering up."

Governor says, "EIGHT"

Tymen barges straight towards the plank, his sword waving. "And unhand HER AS WELL! (please don't faint, Dona Antonia)"

[colonial] Tymen says, "(A raise, for two brutes)"

[7thsea] Tymen rolls 6k3: 7 1 8 10+1 7 7 | 26

Governor says, "A pair of the sailors fall aside."

Governor says, "Dona Antonia stops with the verbal abuse for just long enough to make a feeble attempt at kicking someone."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2k2: 5 9 | 14

Governor says, "One of the sailors catches her heel with his shin, and hops around a bit before taking his knife out."

Governor says, "(NINE and TEN....)"

[7thsea] Governor rolls 6k2: 6 3 10+7 7 1 3 | 24

Governor says (to Tymen), "As you knock those two brutes down, someone catches you with the tip of his knife. A mere scratch ... 3 flesh wounds."

[7thsea] Tymen rolls 3k3: 1 3 7 | 11

[colonial] Tymen says, "(OK, I felt silly rolling that)"

Tymen exclaims, "Pfah!"

Governor says, "The other minion, having reached top deck, looks around a little breathlessly and then jumps on top of Alonso."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 4k3: 9 5 10+8 1 | 32

Governor says, "And Alonso is now buried underneath one smelly pirate."

Governor says, "INITIATIVE."

Alonso exclaims, "Oof!"

Governor says, "ONE"

Alonso kicks and punches up, trying to free himself from the smelly pirate.

Governor asks (of Alonso), "hold?"

Governor says (to Alonso), "Right, sorry. TN 5 ... you're both prone."

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 6k3: 5 10+10+3 5 10+7 5 8 | 48

[colonial] Tymen says, "Excellent."

Alonso says, "Whoof."

Governor says, "Clemm holds."

Governor says, "The sailors at the plank prod Antonia over the edge of the plank. Splash."

Tymen exclaims, "How DARE you!"

Governor says, "(You can still hear her calling down curses on Clemm and his crew, so she must be alright. For now)"

Alonso exclaims, "I do hope (whuf, my gorge) someone can swim (blah, smelly)!"

Governor says, "Another group is dragging an unconscious Marcel desChamps towards the railing."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2k2: 2 2 | 4

[colonial] Tymen says, "(I forget, who's Marcel?)"

Governor says, "And the remaining sailors around Tymen make a feeble attempt on him that misses by a mile."

Tymen exclaims (at Sailors), "Bah!"

[colonial] Governor says, "The driver of the carriage."

Alonso exclaims, "oh Briaaaanaaaa! I do hope you're not on Clemm's side!"

Governor says, "FOUR"

Governor says, "The smelly pirate lifts off of Alonso for a moment (whew) and makes a grab for Alonso's throat."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 4k3: 4 5 5 3 | 14

Governor says, "Which connects, given that they're both pretty easy targets at the moment...."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 3k1: 4 4 2 | 4

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 4k4: 9 5 4 8 | 26

Alonso exclaims, "Briiiiiaaaa-ack!"

Governor says, "FIVE"

Brianna exclaims, "Wooorkiiinng on it!!"

[7thsea] Governor rolls 3k3: 2 10+8 9 | 29

Governor says (to Alonso), "Your first jab cuts something open somewhere."

Governor says, "SIX"

Tymen just keeps pressing forward. "Why!" Thwap. "Don't!" Thwap. "You!" Thwap. "Join her!"

Alonso says, "Eugh, now he's dripping as well."

Brianna lunges at the other sailor.

Governor says, "Okay. Tymen knocks down the sailors nearest the plank. The ones dragging Marcel drop him heavily and take their own knives out."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 3k3: 2 5 9 | 16

Governor says, "Meanwhile, Brianna comes exploding from the hatchway and pretty much blows away the smelly sailor on top of Alonso."

Governor says (to Alonso), "Congratulations on learning to breathe again."

[colonial] Tymen says, "(We're down to... what, ten brutes and a captain?)"

Brianna gives Alonso a hand up.

Governor throws drama die at Brianna

Governor says, "Clemm does Not Look Happy"

Alonso wipes down the front of his robe. "Thank you. His smell will linger, I'm afraid."

Governor says, "SEVEN"

Governor says, "By now all the sailors are up in arms."

Tymen asks, "What, not even the one who gave the orders?"

Governor says, "But, interestingly enough, none of them seem particularly able to draw blood."

Brianna waits for a response from the sailors.

[7thsea] Governor rolls 5k3: 6 7 3 7 3 | 20

Governor says (to Brianna), "The sailors hesitate. Then Clemm hits you."

Brianna spins around and attempts to skewer Clemm.

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 6k3 no explode: 1 2 1 5 7 6 | 18

[colonial] Brianna says, "afk"

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Or easily untiable)"

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "Always."

Tymen grabs the loose end of a rope, and jumps off the side of the ship with it. "I'm coming, Dona Antonia!"

Governor throws drama die at Tymen

[colonial] Governor says, "That's Finesse+Bungee"

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Hee. How about Climbing?"

[colonial] Brianna says, "back for now"

[colonial] Governor says, "Er wait. Ah, never mind. No roll."

[colonial] Alonso exclaims, "MEE!"

[colonial] Governor asks, "Tymen?"

[colonial] Alonso asks, "What's Clemm's TN?"

Tymen exclaims, "Grab the rope, Dona Antonia! Grab the rope!" He tries to help la Dona climb up the rope, back to the deck.

[colonial] Tymen says, "(It somehow seems undignified to just tie a rope around a little old lady and haul her up like cargo, y'know?)"

Governor says (to Tymen), "Grabbing a handful of wet lace, you manage to pull Antonia over to the rope. She doesn't need much telling to get her to grab onto the rope. Though she lacks the climbing ability, unfortunately."

[colonial] Governor says (to Alonso), "20"

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Can I use my climbing ability to kinda help/haul her up?"

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "two raises."

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Can I do that this action, or do I need to wait for the next one?"

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "Either way, it'll take the whole round."

[colonial] Tymen says, "OK."

[7thsea] Tymen rolls 6k3: 5 3 6 3 5 5 | 16

[colonial] Governor says, "Nah."

Tymen exclaims, "Up the rope, Dona! No, hold o--splutter--n to the rope!"

Eolo has disconnected.

Governor says (to Tymen), "You get Dona Antonia partway up. It's tough going ... but at least she's not in any immediate danger of drowning."

Governor says, "Oh wait, what's that in the distance? A sail? Another ship? No, just a fin. Never mind."

[colonial] Governor asks, "..alonso?"

Alonso sees Clemm backing away and heads for him, fist drawn back, to smack him upside his face.

[colonial] Brianna exclaims, "go Alonso!"

Governor says, "He's not out, not yet."

Alonso says, "I do hope you'll forgive me later."

Governor says, "SEVEN"

Alonso says, "But in case you do not--"

Alonso tries an uppercut.

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 6k3: 3 4 2 4 8 8 | 20

[colonial] Governor says, "damage"

[7thsea] Alonso rolls 3k1: 6 3 3 | 6

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2k2: 6 7 | 13

[colonial] Alonso says, "I really should have insisted on having my stick."

Governor says, "TEN"

Brianna takes a final stab at Clemm.

Tymen exclaims, "C'mon, we're halfway there, Dona Antonia!"

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 6k3 no explode: 7 7 1 2 2 5 | 19

[colonial] Brianna says, "dd"

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 1 die: 10

Governor says, "Clemm shakes his head, looking a little worse for wear. The other sailors, finally getting over their stagefright, decide they liked the stagefright better than the stage."

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 9k2: 3 2 4 8 4 10+1 8 1 3 | 19

[colonial] Governor asks (of Brianna), "you don't need the drama die. You have a free raise from the tactics roll you made earlier, remember?"

[colonial] Brianna exclaims, "oh, right!"

[colonial] Brianna says, "let me re-roll damage - that 10 shouldn't have exploded."

[7thsea] Brianna rolls 9k2 no explode: 6 2 7 8 6 4 3 2 3 | 15

[colonial] Governor says, "damage always explodes."

[colonial] Governor says, "as do brawn checks."

[colonial] Brianna says, "okay."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 2k2: 3 3 | 6

Governor says, "And Clemm finally keels over."

Brianna checks for a pulse.

Governor says, "The remaining sailors look at each other, quietly slip their knives back into their belts and pretend they weren't up to anything, no sir."

Governor says (to Brianna), "He'll live."

Alonso checks on the health of Gina.

Brianna fetches some rope and trusses him up.

Governor says (to Tymen), "Eventually you get Dona Antonia back on deck. Rosita helps haul her up."

Tymen helps Dona Antonia the rest of the way up.

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Lag)"

Governor says (to Alonso), "Gina seems fine. She's just standing there, staring at the blood-stained deck."

Governor says (to Brianna), "Clemm good and trussed."

[colonial] Brianna says, "I diagnose and first aid myself."

Alonso says (to Gian), "Here, go belowdecks and rest. You should not have to see such things."

Alonso says (to Brianna), "You're injured. Let me have a look."

[colonial] Governor says (to Brianna), "I'll say you manage to patch yourself up sufficiently. You'll have the bandage on for a while, but unless you meet any more pirates enroute, it shouldn't be a problem."

[colonial] Brianna says, "in my professional opinion, I've suffered a few knife and sword wounds which require large bandaids and lots of neosporin, to prevent infection."

[colonial] Alonso says, "bah lag for me as well."

Tymen asks (of Dona Antonia), "Are you alright?"

(From Governor) Gina: (to Alonso) "i suppose not. thank you. i knew you'd come through for me."

(From Governor) Antonia (to Tymen): "Alright? Do I LOOK alright? <sniff> I'm fine, though I'll catch my death of cold standing up here in these wet clothes. If you'll excuse me, I must dress ... have the cook send me a kettle of hot water."

Alonso smiles self-depreciatingly. "You are much nicer with two hands and five fingers."

(From Governor) Antonia (to Tymen): "And thank you, young man, for your services. I am most appreciative."

[colonial] Tymen says, "bows to la Dona. "I am glad I was in a position where I could help.""

Tymen bows to la Dona. "I am glad I was in a position where I could help."

Alonso asks (of Brianna), "Do you know what Clemm had in mind?"

Tymen says (to Random Sailor), "Find the cook, and have a kettle of hot water sent to la Dona Antonia's room."

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Let's see what we can get from them while they're cowed...)"

Governor says, "Antonia takes off a jewelled pin and slips it into Tymen's lapel. Then she snaps her fingers and commands a couple of the sailors to help carry the unconscious Perpetua to her room."

Brianna says (to Alonso), "He was going to toss everyone overboard. Passengers are not "profitable.""

Alonso says, "How unkind of him."

Brianna patches up Clemm. Someone needs to navigate the ship.

Brianna says (to Alonso), "You could say that. I'm turning this man in when we reach port. He's offended the wrong people by trying to drown the Dona."

Governor says, "One of the sailors runs off to get the kettle of water. One by one, the others slip back belowdecks."

Tymen asks, "What should we do with the rest of the sailors?"

Tymen indicates one, with his boot.

Alonso says, "From the look of things, they'll follow nearly anyone."

Brianna says, "Unless the four of us can manage the vessel, we'll still need them to sail the ship. Closely watched, of course."

Tymen asks, "Just leave them on the deck, though?"

Tymen asks, "Toss them in the brig until they wake up?"

Tymen asks, "Roll them down to the crew quarters?"

Alonso says, "Were I vengeful I'd suggest tying a rope around their ankles and dipping them into the ocean until they wake up"

Alonso says, "Especially the smelly one."

Brianna says (to Alonso), "Well, Father, there is plenty of rope. Help yourself."

Alonso says, "But tying them up for now, then offering them the choice to continue to crew the ship strikes me as a less vengeful approach."

Brianna says, "You could threaten them with a bath if they refuse to cooperate."

Tymen nods, and starts work and binding them.

Alonso helps Tymen.

Alonso says (to Brianna), "A wonderful idea."

Brianna gets a bucket of seawater, and tosses it on Clemm's face.

(From Governor) Clemm coughs, splutters, wakes.

Brianna asks (of Clemm), "Who was paying you for this?"

(From Governor) Clemm: (glaring) For this? You paid for this yourselves.

Brianna exclaims (at Clemm), "Who paid you to toss the Dona?!"

(From Governor) Clemm: Did you really think a measly 50 guilders, and whatever Devereaux and Fernandez together could scrounge up, would pay for a full fare to the southern Mirror? Hah.

Brianna kicks him.

Brianna says, "Then you should have been straitforward about the price, cretin. They would have paid you."

Tymen says, "Speaking of price, it doesn't look like any captain will need to be paid this trip. Maybe we can give ourselves a refund."

(From Governor) Clemm: Don't be a fool.

Governor says (to Tymen), "Clemm looks a little alarmed."

Alonso says, "I certainly would have paid."

Brianna says (to Tymen), "Excellent idea."

Alonso says, "I merely wish to get what I have paid for: passage to the southern Mirror."

Brianna says, "Did either of you find anything interesting in your perusal of the ship? It would help compensate our other passengars, as well."

Governor says (to Tymen), "(you've had experience with Clemm's type before <cough cough>. Any price paid would not have been enough.)"

Tymen says, "I don't know how much it'd help with compensation, but apparently the 'Narcissus' goes at times by several names."

Alonso says (to Brianna), "Nothing unusual. As I recall, I was stopped before I could learn too much."

Brianna says (to Alonso), "My apologies. I clearly was on the wrong side of the matter."

Alonso says, "No, you were in the captain's service at the time, and following his orders."

Tymen says (to Alonso), "You've overpaid for a trip that involves en-route entertainment such as this."

Alonso says (to Tymen), "An interesting point."

Brianna asks, "Does anyone know if the ship is actually headed there?"

Alonso says, "Surely it is now."

Tymen looks for the sun.

Governor says (to Tymen), "the general direction should be about right. You could probably make a stop at Chiarisa, the southernmost Vodacce island, in about five days."

Governor says (to Brianna), "And you remember a number of charts lying about in Clemm's cabin"

Tymen says, "We're sailing into the sun -- so I'd say we're going southeast. That should be about right."

Brianna says, "We should stop in Vodacce and restock."

Alonso says, "Pity we can't recaptain"

Tymen nods. "Yes. I don't think we have provisions for a trip that long."

Alonso says, "or return the wrongfully-stolen money to its rightful owners"

Tymen asks (of Alonso), "Its owners are ourselves, and the ladies, and their coachmen, no?"

Alonso says (to Tymen), "Yes, but surely this was not the first time he pulled this scheme"

Alonso says, "It felt too-well practiced"

[colonial] Tymen says, "But my old info didn't show up in the form either."

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Ila window)"

Tymen says, "Well, true."

Alonso shrugs. "Impractical, I know."

Tymen says, "In any case, we should find out where he was keeping whatever provisions or supplies there are."

Tymen says, "There was hardly anything in the galley, and I'm certain he himself expected to eat, at least."

Brianna says, "And our fares are here, somewhere."

Alonso says, "Yes."

Tymen asks, "Is there a brig? Where can we put him?"

Brianna says, "There's a cargo hold."

Alonso says, "Wonder what he has for cargo."

Tymen says, "Hidden, I suspect? I couldn't find any entrance."

Brianna smiles. "Nothing, anymore."

Governor says (to Brianna), "Access to the cargo hold is through the captain's cabin. A rather odd design, but now it seems to make more sense."

Brianna picks up the captain, and hauls him off to the cargo hold.

Tymen says, "I think I should change into something drier before I follow."

Alonso follows Brianna.

Tymen goes down to his stateroom to put on his other outfit.

Governor says, "The cargo hold entrance is locked, but the key is in Clemm's coat pocket."

Brianna tries to elbow the door open.

Brianna says (to Alonso), "Try his pockets, would you? There may be a key."

[colonial] Governor says, "heh"

Alonso searches the pockets.

Alonso says, "Aha, a key."

Governor says (to Alonso), "You find a key marked "Cargo Hold. Don't Touch.""

Alonso hands the key to Brianna. "Try this."

Brianna drops Clemm to try the key in the door, and it swings easily open.

Tymen lays his wet clothes out to dry, and dresses in something dry. Ah, much better.

Brianna says (to Alonso), "After you."

Governor says (to Tymen), "Much better indeed."

Alonso says, "Thank you."

Alonso wanders down into the hold.

Tymen leaves his boots here, since they're soaked, and goes after Brianna and Alonso in his stocking feet.

Governor says (to Alonso), "There's baggage, presumably belonging to former passengers. Mostly clothing for women and children."

Governor says (to Alonso), "Also some good stuff ... a couple of bottles of good wine, that sort of thing."

Tymen heads into the captain's quarters, steps over the captain, and follows down into the hold.

Alonso picks up a bottle of wine. "Much better than what we were served the other night."

Governor says, "(Yeah, funny that Clemm didn't join you all at dinner....)"

Tymen says, "Hmm, sausages."

Tymen says, "Looks like he didn't have any trouble finding breakfast this morning."

Governor says, "Some really tasty-looking andouillettes hang from the rafters."

[colonial] Alonso exclaims, "Ha!"

Tymen climbs up the crates, and cuts them down with his sword.

Alonso says, "Hm. I was going to jump for them, but that works as well."

[colonial] Governor says, "heh"

Brianna pokes around looking for crates or trunks.

Tymen loops the sausages over his shoulders, and joins the searching.

Alonso investigates to see what else he can fine.

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Intentional, or Freudian slip?"

Governor says, "There's a box of papers from someone in Luthon named Lloyd, who apparently invested heavily (and lost heavily) on the ship a year back."

[colonial] Alonso asks, "How about simply unintentional?"

Brianna decides to search the captain's quarters, and heads back that way, stepping over Clemm in the process.

Governor says, "A small casket with about 1000 guilders in it."

Tymen says, "Hmm. That should be at least enough to pay the crew, provision the ship, and refund most of the fares."

Tymen looks for anything that might identify the owners of the old luggage.

(From Governor) Clemm: "So what do you intend to do now?"

Brianna rummages around in Clemms quarters, looking for anything of interest.

Brianna says (to Clemm), "Drop these people off where they paid to go."

Governor says (to Tymen), "Okay. You find one or two names ... embroidered handkerchiefs, that sort of thing. The valuable stuff must have been sold off long ago."

Tymen says, "If these people were heading the same way we were, there's a chance they may have made it to the islands."

Tymen says, "We should try to find out if any of these people are there, when we arrive."

Alonso says, "I agree."

(From Governor) Clemm: "You are a fool. I promise you, you will regret this hare-brained journey before you are halfway there.

Brianna kicks Clemm "Silence!"

Governor says (to Brianna), "there are the charts. Also a logbook."

(From Governor) Clemm clams up.

Tymen asks (of Alonso), "Should we move the food supplies to the galley, so it can be shared properly with the rest of the passengers?"

Brianna looks through the logbook.

Governor says (to Brianna), "A name catches your eye."

Alonso says, "A wonderful idea. Let's start moving them."

Governor says (to Brianna), "Apparently, about nine months ago, the ship was called the "Blitzkrieg". Funny, that. The Blitzkrieg was an Eisen warship that disappeared maybe three years ago ... it looked nothing like the Narcissus, even given certain cosmetic changes."

Alonso lifts up some of the food items.

Brianna says, "Huh. This ship has a funny history - listen to this <retells what the GM just said>."

Governor says (to Brianna), "(did I say three years? I meant seven years. Yeah.)"

Tymen asks, "Anything in there about the Lucille, or the Albatross?"

Alonso asks (of Brianna), "Really?"

Tymen asks, "Or the Santa Doriana?"

Governor says, "The Lucille supposedly foundered on the reefs near Vendel six months ago, losing a cargo of Avalon wool."

Brianna says, "She was never heard from again, and looked nothing like this ship."

Alonso asks (of Tymen), "Why do you ask?"

Tymen says (to Alonso), "I found a cache of nameplates, hidden in the galley."

Alonso says, "Oho."

Governor says, "The Albatross was lost in a storm a year ago off the coast of Montaigne. A noble bride and her attendants (and also her dowry) were lost with the ship."

Brianna asks (of Clemm), "Were any of these you?"

(From Governor) Clemm smirks.

Brianna kicks him again.

Brianna says (to Clemm), "Answer me, or I'll double the number of ribs in your chest."

(From Governor) Clemm: Aye. What of it?

Brianna asks, "And what have you done with your blood-gold?"

(From Governor) Clemm: Spent most of it. I ... do enjoy some of the finer things in life.

Tymen says, "Like andouillettes and wine."

(From Governor) Clemm: You can hardly blame me for that, can you.

Tymen says, "I can blame you for dumping innocent people overboard."

Tymen kicks Clemm, and takes a bite out of a sausage.

Governor says (to Tymen), "Hm. Could use some olive oil."

Brianna asks (of Tymen), "Those look tasty. May I have one?"

Tymen nods, "Sure." He yanks a few off the end, and offers them over.

Alonso asks, "Those do look good. May I?"

Brianna happily munches an adouilette.

Tymen says, "Of course."

Tymen spreads the joy of meat to all.

[colonial] Brianna says, "P. eople E. ating T. asty A. nimals"

[colonial] Governor exclaims, "yay!"

[colonial] Tymen says, "Hee."

[colonial] Alonso says, "heh"

Tymen says, "So, hopefully the sailors should be able to figure out how to steer the ship without help."

Brianna says, "When we put into Vodacce, we can turn in the Captain."

Tymen says, "But we ought to figure out who the officers are, so we can tell them we need to stop at Vodacce."

Tymen nods. "We should probably let any men who wish to leave do so, as well."

Governor says, "Not many officers ... The cook doubles as a surgeon (though not a particularly good one). Clemm handles the rest himself."

Alonso says, "Hm."

Alonso says, "I can help some -- I spent time on ships -- but I was merely a simple sailor."

Tymen says, "I can read a map, or climb rigging, but I don't know anything about holding a tiller."

Brianna says, "I can do a few things, too. But I may be more useful scaring the whey out of any recalcatrent sailors."

Eolo has connected.

Governor says, "Well, between what you all know ... shouldn't be too difficult to get up to Vodacce at least."

Tymen says, "We'll probably want to pick up some help in port."

[colonial] Governor asks, "should I sum up?"

[colonial] Tymen says, "I'd like to look at the pin after we finish doing Important Stuff."

[colonial] Tymen says, "But otherwise, I think we're set to run on autopilot for the grunt work."

[colonial] Brianna says, "yes. good idea."

[colonial] Alonso says, "Yeah, sum up."

[colonial] Governor says (to Tymen), "Okay. The pin appears to be fairly ordinary, but old. Probably Crescent in origin. The stones aren't of particularly good quality, though the setting is very well crafted."

[colonial] Tymen nods.

Governor says, "You get to Chiarisa, the southernmost island of the Vodacce chain, without too much hassle, though it takes maybe a day or so longer than anticipated."

Governor says, "The Fernandez ladies (well, Dona Antonia, mostly, speaking for the rest of them) are quite insistant on getting to the Southern Mirror. So is Gina, in her own quiet way."

Governor says, "You do find a man who's willing to pilot and navigate as far as Maristella."

Governor says, "His name is Enzio."

Tymen says, "Greetings, Enzio."

(From Governor) Enzio: Buongiorno.

[colonial] Tymen hopes he speaks Castillian.

Brianna responds in kind.

[colonial] Governor says, "Enzio speaks Vodacce and Avalon, and just enough Castillian to get by."

[7thsea] Governor rolls 4k3: 9 5 3 3 | 17

[colonial] Alonso says, "I know Vodacce as well, so."

Governor says (to Tymen), "Enzio seems to take a liking to you, interestingly enough. He wants to know all about how you got here and why you're heading southeast."

Tymen makes sure we have maps and navigation data to get us where we're going. There's no reason to believe old Clemm ever made it that far.

Tymen tells Enzio about the a few of the stories of gold and fortunes made in the islands.

Governor says (to Tymen), "There's an old chart from 1662 of the Southern Mirror, drawn up by an Ambroise Delorme. Large chunks are marked "Terra Incognita", but the important ports are all marked."

[colonial] Tymen asks, "How do the local authorities feel about us dumping Clemm on them?"

[colonial] Alonso says, "After they get done saying 'ow' I hope they won't mind."

Governor says, "The authorities are happy to get ahold of Clemm, especially given the evidence against him. The people he's crossed are now bidding against each other to get him into their nation for a fair trial."

[colonial] Brianna says, "they should shower us with praise."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Yay"

[colonial] Brianna asks, "fair?"

[colonial] Alex says (to Brianna), "Awwwk! Word on the street is that FAIR is Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting."

[colonial] Tymen asks, "Do we collect on the bids?"

Governor says, "Montaigne wins ... the father of the murdered bride will be the magistrate at the trial."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Ah, good. It will be fair trial."

[colonial] Tymen asks, "But, um. Do we actually find this out?"

[colonial] Brianna exclaims, "and speedy!"

[colonial] Tymen says, "I'd think we'd be on our way before they can work that out, across those sorts of distances..."

[colonial] Governor says, "heh. Actually, you only find out about the bidding much later ... Vodacce pays a fairly standard reward (enough to cover the journey) and that's about it."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Woo."

[colonial] Brianna says, "ah, yes, but think of all those wealthy and important people who know they are indebted to us."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Hey, we don't even need to actually pay the crew. We can give them the ship itself when we get there."

[colonial] Tymen says, "So we can keep all the money :)"

[colonial] Alonso says, "I'm always glad to see people get the reward they deserve."

Governor says, "And proceeding down to Puerto San Angelo, in the Southern Mirror ... takes about three weeks and a little bit."

Governor says, "It's fairly uneventful. There are a couple of storms, but Gina spots them both before they hit, so you somehow manage to sail away and find shelter."

[colonial] Alonso asks, "How much longer do you think we'll be going?"

[colonial] Governor says, "About two more line."

[colonial] Alonso says, "Well, there we go, then."

[colonial] Alonso asks, "Also, *Gina* spots them?"

[colonial] Tymen says, "Handy, that."

Governor says, "and then ... Puerto San Angelo. Hot, humid. Everybody's laces wilt except for Dona Antonia, who miraculously manages to look perfectly pressed in her black dresses in spite of everything."

[colonial] Alonso says, "Perhaps her almost-cut hand tingles when a storm is nearing."

[colonial] Governor says, "Yep. *Gina* spots them."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Or perhaps the ring is special."

[colonial] Alonso asks, "Does it have a '<O>' on it?"

Governor says, "<end>"

[colonial] Tymen says, "(Good thing I didn't bring any laces)"

[colonial] Brianna exclaims, "yay game!"

[colonial] Tymen says, "Yeah, good game."

[colonial] Alonso exclaims, "woo woo!"

[colonial] Governor says, "Actually, it's a fairly thick gold band, with a pattern consisting of two interwoven lines winding around it."

[colonial] Tymen says, "Although I'm a little concerned about DD as XP. I fear I'm going to spend them all by the end of the game... :)"

[colonial] Governor says, "Oh fine. Everybody take 3 xp."

[colonial] Tymen exclaims, "Really? Woo!"

[colonial] Alonso exclaims, "Really? woo woo again!"

[colonial] Tymen says, "You rock."

[colonial] Governor says, "And Roger can take 2 'cos he was here last session but not here today."

[colonial] Brianna exclaims, "yay 3 xp, and g'night all!"

[colonial] Tymen wonders if he should collapse the line in his sheet that says:

[colonial] Tymen | Second Session: +1DD (3DD), -1DD (2DD), +1DD (3DD), -1DD (2DD), +3XP (3XP)

[colonial] Alonso says, "We could have used his cowering in the battle."

Brianna has disconnected.

[colonial] Governor says, "heh"
