Name: Louis-Phillipe Boileau du Toille Player: Joe Mason Nationality: Montaigne Profession: Musketeer (former sailor) Membership: Musketeers Louis-Phillipe's father was a merchant successful enough to buy himself a minor title in the petite noblesse. The money lasted long enough to enroll Louis-Phillipe in the Naval Academy, where he excelled. His first posting was to the Queen Morella II, where he served as a Lieutenant. This was also his last posting: a crewman, a rough commoner named Gaston Verre, incited his fellows to mutiny and put the officers (nobles and gentry all) ashore. The Queen Morella was rechristened Liberte, and Gaston now sails her as a bucaneer. During the mutiny Louis-Phillipe was cast overboard, but caught around the throat by a trailing line (he still has the scar on his neck). Though he was nearly hanged and drowned simultaneously, he managed to haul himself up the line and back onto the deck. He swore that if he survived he would never set foot on a boat again. This has made it difficult to fulfill his other vow, to hunt down and kill that dog Gaston. In the meantime, he's had a hard time making ends meet. His father's money has run out, and he was forced to retire his Naval commission since he couldn't bear the thought of going to sea. His Captain saw him fight valiantly against the mutineers, however, and was able to recommend him for a position in the Musketeers.
