[nobilis] Davey says, "well, one of my anchors is my brother, who runs a chapter of the Hell's Angels..."

[nobilis] Davey says, "I went to try to prevent them from winning by cheating--I don't mind if the gang loses fair"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "We heard a gunshot, but don't know where it came from or where it's going.  The police were following the truck, and a different Davey anchor was in the truck (I presume)."

[nobilis] Davey says, "but we were doing a road-race, and suddenly my other beloved anchor came careening town the road in a truck followed by cops"

Davey looks at the cops with the Sight. Normal?

GM says, "Everard sighs deeply and his body seems to relax and slip into a more normal sleep"
GM says, "Meanwhile, Bessie looks up in surprise as the gun is yanked from her hands and flies out the door"

GM says, "The ambulance pulls up about now and starts loading Everard in"
Chaz asks (of seat), "Was someone sitting in you recently?"
GM says, ""Coincidence, eh? Well, she'll be out tomorrow morning, then --""
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "I'd rather not, but I don't know how to duck it without these cops getting hurt of sanity-blasted"

GM says, "five minutes later it pulls up, then"
[nobilis] Gerry says, "So, we need someone to run interference on the real wagon, someone ot play driver guised as a cop and Davey to be the new wagon."

GM says, "meanwhile, Stella zips off, and makes sure the other paddy wagon doesn't show up inconveniently"
Gerry goes outside to await the new arrivals.
[Crows-Nest] Alison asks, "So, if your paddywagon pulls up to a carnival instead of a police station, does that bring on the Dementia Animus?"
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "we need to have someone in the wagon invisibly/hidden in with Davey"

GM says, "Bessie was apparently still screeching along ten minutes before, but going back, you see twenty minutes before was about when the brakes gave out, and ten minutes before that she was at a truck stop"

Aisleen picks up a flower, too.
Chaz . o O (to aisleen) ( Bilberry is treachery--promise, then fail to fulfil. )

Aisleen prods Everard to see who gave him the flowers
GM says, "A voice seems to be talking to him from the flower -- "You fool," the voice says, "I promised you everything if you win -- nothing if you lost. You lose!""
[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of GM), "Can I talk to Everard in his dream without him noticing me?"
GM says, "then the dream darkens, as a storm cloud moves in ahead. thunder rolls, and it's saying "LOSER LOSER LOSER""
[nobilis] GM says (to Aisleen), "uh"
[nobilis] GM says, "you can talk to him with him noticing you, in the dream"
GM says, "Everard curls up into a little ball"
Aisleen says, "(in dream) Everard, you didn't lose. He made you lose."
Aisleen . o O ( this is probably a bad idea )
Chaz . o O (to davey) ( Can you ask bessie where the truck stop is she was at last?  That's where it looks like her brakes went out. )
GM says, "Everard peeks out cautiously at you. "He made me lose? It's not my fault?""
Davey . o O (to Bessie) ( where'd you stop earlier? My friends are trying to track down your brake problem. )
[nobilis] Gerry is still waiting for the pool to show him Senetor Everhard before he continues.
GM says, "Bessie . o O ( Truck stop up the way a bit -- I'm not usually out this way, but I saw a sign offering a sale on corn dogs, so I had to stop and check it out )"
Aisleen . o O ( help! (after transmitting the rest of the dream.) Should I keep talking to him? Or just stop? )
[nobilis] GM says, "sorry, whoops"
GM says, "the Senator is in his office, filing paperwork"
Chaz . o O (to aisleen) ( Go for it--kid needs help. )
Davey . o O (to Aisleen) ( yeah, this kid could be our new best friend. Sounds like another pawn. )
GM says, "he looks more or less like what Aisleen sees in the dream"
GM says, "then his phone rings. "What?" he says. "WHAT? I'll -- I'll be there right away.""
Aisleen says (to Everard), "someone tried to stop you from winning"
GM says, "He stands and hurries out."
Gerry . o O (to Aisleen) ( Yep, that guy was his father. )
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "who was it that promised you that you would go fast?"
Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( thanks. Any chance the Senator has bilberries in his office? )
Davey . o O ( you watchin' the senator! stay on him, please )
Chaz heads down the highway to the rest stop in question.
Gerry asks (of pool), "Where is he now?"
[nobilis] Stella asks, "any luck on the hitchhiker chasing?"
Chaz buys some corn dogs, looks around.
[nobilis] Gerry says, "As far as we can tell, there was no hitchhiker."
Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( waitaminute. He got the call at the TIME of the accident? )
GM says, ""Laura .. Laura said it would be good for me ... She said she knew a guy ...""
[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of GM), "is that Everard?"
GM says (to Chaz), ""Awful young to be buying corn dogs, arentcha kid?""
[nobilis] GM says (to Aisleen), "yeah"
Aisleen . o O (to davey) ( who is Laura? )
GM says, "meanwhile, the senator is driving to the hospital"
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "did you meet the guy?"
Chaz says, "Hey, corn dogs were my favorite food in second grade."
Davey is spending a few minutes sizing up the bilberries, prior to dropping them off with a 'warning'
[nobilis] Aisleen still thinks it's suspicious that the Senator got the call before the cops called him
GM says (to Davey), "they seem like a combination of bored rich kids and surly drug dealers"
Gerry . o O (to Aisleen) ( Well, the cops were on the scene when the accident happened. )
[nobilis] Alison asks, "That wasn't the cops calling him?"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "I'm gonna have my fake cops take us back to the staging area, take down their contact information and let 'em go with some stern words."
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "ah. never mind. sorry."
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "channel"
GM says (to Aisleen), "at a club downtown .. he had this jacket for me .. it was great"
GM says (to Davey), "and considerably less swaggering than they were before"
Aisleen says (to Everard), "a very nice jacket, it is, too."
GM says (to Davey), "Ok, but you get their information and let them go"
[Crows-Nest] Gerry asks, "Awfully young to be buying corn dogs?  Is 'corn dogs' code for some unspeakable sex act?"
Chaz asks (of owner), "Hey, do you guys work on engines here?  Big ones?"
[nobilis] Davey says, "Bessie and I will stay with the wagon. I need to think of a way to get mu bike back"
[nobilis] Davey says, "what with it being magic"
GM says, ""We're a truck stop, kid. We get trucks in here.""
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "what did he tell you?"
[nobilis] Gerry asks (of Davey), "We may need Bessie's rig in the chancel for some magical forensics, too.  Can you get a fake tow truck to handle that?"
Chaz says, "Those are pretty big!  I've only seen car engines."
[nobilis] Stella asks, "Can you stow your bike in her rig and haul them both back?"
Chaz says, "B"
GM says, "Everard's jacket seems to swell as it's discussed until it's towering over him and he's standing fully inside it. "He said I just had to wear these jackets and he'd take care of the rest -- he gave me the number of a place to buy our bikes, said to show them his card and it'd be easy""
[nobilis] Davey says, "trying to see if I can do that"
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Hmm. I'd really like to get a hold of that card."
Aisleen looks at the jacket.
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "can I look in your pockets?"
GM says, "in the dream it is huge and glossy and with a giant silver bilberry picked out on the back"
GM says, ""My pockets? I suppose""
[nobilis] Davey says, "oh, that's cheap. I think I will arrange another creation of tow truck"
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "it's a good thing the jacket is so huge, or i would feel odd looking in them"
Aisleen looks in pockets
[nobilis] Davey says, "they can try to grab my bike and haul it, with truck, to chancel"
[nobilis] GM says, "alrighty"
GM says, ""Took your own sweet time getting here,"
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Well, we might want to get the *real* card."
GM says, "the cops say to the driver. "At least you're taking the bikes, too.""
Davey's goons grumble about lack of overtime pay
GM says, "the pockets of the jacket have some keys, a wallet, and some probably-illegal prescription medication in them"
[nobilis] GM says (to Davey), "hee hee"
[nobilis] Davey says, "right, truck full of magic bikes"
[nobilis] Davey says, "well, I can make it up to the Angels at our convenience now. Let's get home and drink heavily."
GM says, "but no card"
[nobilis] Stella goes to procure a large bottle of Jack Daniels.
[nobilis] Davey says, "I could be mean and make the real tow truck be lost, but I'll just leave them to blame paperwork."
GM says, "so ok, bikes and truck back at the chancel"
[nobilis] Davey says, "also, Bessie"
Gerry asks (of pool), "Can you show me more of the man who entered Bessie's rig?"
Alison exclaims, "Oooh!"
Davey gives Beardog a mental rundown, promises to get the bikes back to the gang soon
Alison asks, "We gotta truck now?"
Alison says, "I like the zeppelines better, though."
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Speaking of Bessie, we need to get the real story on this "hitchhiker.""
Davey says, "It belongs to my friend Bessie, darlin'. And it's a little broken right now"
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Speaking of, did our mages ever get those captured zeppelines up and working again?)"
Stella arrives back at the Chancel toting a large bag from Spec's liquer, per Davey's drinking suggestion, and distributes rum, whiskey and any other requests liberally.
Alison asks (of Davey), "Aw. Should we try to fix it for her?"
Gerry asks (of Henderson), "Can you get some of your people to search the newly-transported rig for signs of miraculous or magical interference?"
GM says, "The pool pans back in time a bit, showing the man walking out boldly from around the side of the garage, but before that, it looks like he just pulled up on a motorcycle"
Davey says, "we're gonna try and figure out who broke it first. After that, yeah, guess we'll fix it."
GM says, "whereupon he waited around for a bit, then talked into his radio, then walked out and did whatever to the truck"
[nobilis] GM says (to Alison), "sure"
Gerry says (to pool), "Show me where this man was at the time of the accident."
[nobilis] Stella says, "btw, Chaz is afk.  Ellric is fighting his naptime."
[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "I keep having this perverse notion to ask the pool things like, 'Show me the man's first day at kindergarten,' but I suppose that's best left to Chaz and Alis."
GM says, "The man is sitting off the side of the road on his bike, watching something through binoculars. Then he puts the glasses away and drives off again"
GM says, "(first saying something into his radio)"
Gerry says (to pool), "And where's the guy now."
Aisleen thought beams to the group the prescriptions
[Crows-Nest] Chaz exclaims, "Hee!"
Davey says (to Bessie), "I'm worried that someone was using mojo on you, hon. We can't find no hitchhiker, but somebody did mess with your rig at the truck stop."
GM says, "You get a scene in a bar someplace, with the man kicking back and watching tv"
[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of GM), "Are we still in the ambulance?"
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "have you seen that guy again after he gave you your jacket?"
Gerry asks (of pool), "Can you zoom in on any matchbooks or other bar-identifying items?"
Chaz says (to man), "Can I see the garage?  I love engines."
GM says, ""Laura .. Laura gave me everything," Everard says."
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "do you know his name?"
Gerry . o O ( We may have a fix on our saboteur. )
GM says, ""You bet, kid -- right around the side there.""
Chaz exclaims, "Cool!"
Chaz saunters off around the corner.
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "also, question. Can Everard pray to me later? Or as he is not my anchor he can't?"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "we are Chancel Fasttalk"
[nobilis] Davey says, "folks that know about us can pray to us"
[nobilis] Chaz says, "Any mortal can pray to us, just not the other way 'round (unless they initiate)"
[Crows-Nest] Gerry says (to Aisleen), "Pray to you?  Don't make your godhood just an opporunity to play dominatrix."
GM says, ""He didn't -- no, wait, I remember. 'Call me Silver,' he said.""
[nobilis] Davey says, "now he is becoming aware of the Way the World Really Works"
Aisleen . o O (to Davey) ( Have you ever met Laura? )
Davey . o O ( Silver! there's no end to that guy! )

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen cracks her whip
Chaz . o O (to gerry) ( OK, I'm at the stop.  Anything I should be looking for?  Tools the guy had?  His uniform? )
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "what was the reason for this duel?"
Chaz . o O (to davey) ( You know this 'silver'? )
Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( If there's a bar around there, you may spot him.  Otherwise, I think he's moved on.  I don't think he was a regular mechanic. )
Chaz . o O (to gerry) ( Aha.  What's he wearing now? )
[nobilis] Alison asks, "Did Chaz already check on if anyone there saw anything?"
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "What's he wearing now?  Also, did we get any identification from the bar?"
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Sorry, I missed a bit of it.)"
Davey . o O ( Chaz I think those mages I talked to in Astara mentioned him. I could be wring, but it seems awful familiar )
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( Old nemesis of yours? )
Chaz . o O (to davey) ( Hmm.  Sounds likely. )
Davey . o O ( I sorta recall a 'Silver Man' or something. the Bad Guys )
[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "No no no.  Silver was the horse; Lone Ranger was the man."
[nobilis] GM says (to Gerry), "he's not wearing the grease-monkey outfit anymore, just regular jeans and t-shirt"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "I had just found that ;-)"
[nobilis] GM says (to Gerry), "the bar's apparently called The Sunset Tavern"

Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( The guy's in regular clothes, possibly has a radio/walkie-talkie with him, at a bar called the Sunset Tavern. )
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "i am leaving the dream soon. anyone have anything to ask?"
Chaz . o O (to gerry) ( check. )
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Don't those matchbooks usually have an address on them, to help drunkards return to purchase more alcohol?"
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "also, i am still dithering over telling him to pray to me."
Chaz scouts around for a ditched mechanics uniform.
[nobilis] Alison says (to Aisleen), "Sure. He's dreaming, so if he doesn't want to believe it, he doesn't need to."
GM says (to Chaz), "hmm, not in the garage, not in the main room -- aha, there we go. crumpled up in the (filthy) bathroom, at the back of one of the stalls"
[nobilis] Stella says (to Aisleen), "Go ahead, it will be fine."
[nobilis] Alison says, "Just... pray to the wind :)"
GM says (to Aisleen), "Laura? Oh, Laura's great .. I see her around"
Chaz snags the uniform, sniffs it to get the guy's scent.
[nobilis] Aisleen says (to alison), "yeah, but watch Everard tell Laura and then she sics the bad guys on to me"
Chaz says (to uniform), "Hey, tell me about the guy that left you here."
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says (to chaz), "oyu must have been a dog in a previous life"
GM says, "it smells mostly like the road and like grease but has a bit of a scent of a guy"
[nobilis] Gerry says (to Aisleen), "RIght, because the bad guys don't know who we are and this was all a big coincidence."
GM says, ""He was in a hurry -- can you believe he just pulled me off and left me here?""
Chaz exclaims (at uniform), "Shameful!"
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "Have you known her long?"
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen wants a Who's Who of Anchors to go with Who's Who of Nobilis :)
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "So, we're not being told where the Sunset Tavern is?"
Chaz asks (of uniform), "Did he pick you up from around here, or did he wear you from earlier?"
[nobilis] Chaz says, "I haven't asked--but I'm probably not the best one to go into a bar ;-)"
[nobilis] GM says, "uh, you can presumably work it out from the phone book and stuff"
[nobilis] Chaz says, "(though I could guise myself to look older, I never scrounged up any fake ID)"
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "How far away from where Chaz is?"
GM says, ""It's all very confusing -- I think he came here yesterday and got me, and then he came back again today wearing me""
[nobilis] GM says, "I dunno, an hour maybe"
Chaz . o O (to stella) ( Hey, you wanna go to the Sunset Bar to find this guy?  Sounds like your kind of place. )
Chaz says (to uniform), "Interesting."
GM says, ""I was just minding my own business in a locker before, and now here I am on the floor""
Stella . o O (to Chaz) ( Need some help?  Nobody has carded me for, well, I don't like to think of how long. )
Chaz . o O (to stella) ( I'm gonna try to trace this guy back to his home, but someone should keep an eye on him in the bar. )
Stella beams over to Chaz's area to help him out with bar infiltration.
Gerry keeps an eye on Mr. Misterioso via pool while Stella goes in person.
Chaz asks (of uniform), "OK, we're gonna take you back to where that guy lives.  Can you help?"
Chaz . o O ( If Alison can get directions from keys, surely I can get directions from a uniform... )
Stella strolls up to the barkeep, and asks for a shot of JD, strait up.
Chaz supplements the directions with his keen sense of smell and his ability to recognize the smell spirits in mythic.
GM says, ""Uh -- he put me in a bag before he drove me on his bike -- I'm not sure I can really tell""
Chaz says (to uniform), "Well, you leaned different directions and stuff."
Chaz says (to uniform), "Let's try."
GM says, ""Well, I guess we can try, but I'm not sure this is going to work""
Chaz exclaims (at uniform), "Come on, where's your sense of adventure!"
Aisleen says (to Everard), "I have to get going. But listen. If you see silver again, or if Laura offers to do stuff for you, can you pray to me? Just offer a prayer to the wind, and I will hear you and will be able to help."
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Hee hee.)"
GM says, "(and, yeah, not-being-worn clothing isn't as interested in finding stuff as keys are, especially not when they're driven as opposed to walking)"
GM says, ""I'll call you!" Everard says. "Uh -- when I wake up""
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "I just realized what I was wishing for when the cops were there. I wanted Tyoka's madness to drive the cops nuts and let us all go home"
[nobilis] Alison exclaims, "You've got to promise the uniform that you'll put it on if it helps you!"
[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "No matter how uncooperative inky tries to make objects, lps just keeps pushing them."
Aisleen says (to Everard), "Remember, pray to the wind"
GM says (to Stella), ""Here you go, ma'am. Make yourself at home.""
Chaz asks (of uniform), "Wait--you were worn today when he came here, right?  What was the last place you drove before arriving?"
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen asks (of Gerry), "have you forgotten the last session? when nothing would talk?"
Chaz asks, "This street?"
Gerry transmits a picture of the guy in the bar that we're watching.
[Crows-Nest] Alison asks, "Do you think rumors of us are getting out on the mythic grapevine?"
Stella gets comfortable, somewhere where she can watch the whole bar unobtrusively.
[Crows-Nest] Alison says, "'Play dumb. They'll talk your pockets off.'"
[nobilis] Chaz asks, "As a technicality, can we do the picture thing?  Or is it just a really good description that people with higher aspects can 'see'?"
GM says (to Stella), "you can see the guy in question -- he's still watching the football game on tv, but it looks like he's almost done with his beer"
[nobilis] GM says, "technically speaking you can't transmit mental pictures, no, just talking, but I'm assuming this is a description he's giving"
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "(describing the guy the group is looking at the bar), by the way, do you know anyone who looks like that?"
[nobilis] Alison says, "With really, *really* high aspects, you might be able to describe it as a bit map -- 'oneohohohoneoneohoneohoneohohohoneoneoneohoneone...'"
[nobilis] Chaz exclaims, "Hee!"
GM says, ""He pulled me out of his bag at a truck stop up the way, then put me on and drove over here""
GM says, ""I don't think I recognize the guy -- friend of yours?" says Everard"
Aisleen asks (of Everard), "not sure yet. Anyway, you take care of yourself, alright?"
Chaz says, "Okay..."
Aisleen does a shimmery thing to make her leaving the dream a little dramatic
[nobilis] GM says, "hee hee"
Aisleen peeks through the bushes to see what activity is on the highway
Stella sips her drink appreciatively, and tries to time her being finished at the same time as Football Watching Guy.
Chaz pulls out his other invisibility spell, goes invisible behind the shop, then tries to trace the guy's scent between the two truck stops, to get the hang of it.
Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( Stop futzing around with the jumper and go help Stella. )
GM says (to Stella), "eventually he gets up and pays and heads out"
Aisleen . o O ( hey. where am i needed? )
GM says (to Chaz), "he drove over, so he's not really leaving a scent on a semi-busy highway"
Chaz peers in mythic, looking for scent-spirits.
Chaz . o O (to gerry) ( Yeah, yeah. )
Stella tosses back the rest of her drink, and heads out a few seconds after Guy.
Chaz . o O (to aisleen) ( Stella's following the guy who cut Bessie's brakes. )
GM says, "if there's no scent in normal there are no scent-spirits in mythic (or, rather, there are hundreds of them, all arguing and crowded together)"
Davey . o O ( anything I can do? )
GM says (to Stella), "he goes around outside to where his bike is parked and hops on, then starts to drive off"
Chaz . o O (to stella) ( Where are you?  I'll follow. )
GM says, "before he starts the engine he pops open his wallet and grins to himself, then puts it away again"
Gerry . o O (to davey) ( He's getting on the road.  Do you want to grab a hold of him? )
[nobilis] GM says, "(if other folks are looking for stuff to do, there's still all the everard-related stuff to follow up on)"
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Uhoh.  Could we have been made?"
Stella divines light to see his wallet.
Aisleen decides to fly back to the chancel
Aisleen says (to Gerry), "hey Gerry. Everard said he met Silver in a club."
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Ooh, good idea.  Maybe Aisleen can go look for that card at the hospital."
Aisleen asks, "think we can sry the pool for this?"
Davey . o O ( hmm. I could make the road take him here, but that'll be the end my my power )
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( You busy? )
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "yes, i am a fast flier"
Davey . o O (to Stella) ( what's up? )
GM says (to Stella), "you catch a glimpse of a bunch of greenbacks"
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( If not, can I have a bike, please?  I'd like to follow this guy on the road. )
Gerry asks (of pool), "Can you show me the night when Everard met 'Silver'?"
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( but not if it takes mucho mojo. )
Davey conjures an appropriate vehicle for Stella
Chaz . o O (to stella,davey) ( Why not just have davey become a bike? )
Davey . o O ( yeah, I want some action. )
[nobilis] Gerry says (to Chaz), "'Cause he's back at the chancel, for one."
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( Okay, maybe I should have asked for a car.  Instructions, please? )
[nobilis] Chaz says, "Oh?  Thought he was still atthe racing site."
Davey . o O ( I'll make you a car )
Davey . o O ( I'm tempted to make a cop car, but no sense spooking him )
GM says, "The pool shows a confused scene at the club -- it's hard to get a good view with all the folks moving around"
Davey goes elemental and gets on the road as a truck just in case they need backup
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( Or you could join me. )
Chaz, meanwhile, has flown over to the bar, and is following the guy from the air.
GM says, "but you see a woman coming in with Everard -- they're both dressed like, well, like rich kids going into a hip club"
Aisleen memorizes what Laura looks like
Aisleen says, "She is pretty"
GM says, "they head over to a side-table away from the dancing where a guy is sitting"
Aisleen asks, "who is the one with a photographic memory?"
GM says, "they talk for a bit about something, the guy hands over a business card and a jacket"
Aisleen says (to pool), "zoom in on the card"
Stella takes off in her green Honda Insight, and scoots after Guy.
GM says, "and eventually Everard and Laura step up onto the dance floor (Everard swaggering in his new jacket)"
GM says, "you can't get a good view -- either intentionally or accidentally the guy's hand hides the card as he passes it"
Stella asks (of GM), "did the light divination on the wallet show any more details than $$?"
GM says, "(no)"
GM says, "Eventually the guy pulls up at his house, and a short while later, so do you -- it's a somewhat run-down duplex"
Aisleen asks (of pool), "where does the guy go afterwards?"
Davey brum honk
[Crows-Nest] Gerry asks (of Davey), "Um?"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "I'm on the road"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "or I've become a goose with some gastric distress"
[Crows-Nest] Chaz laughs.
GM says, "As soon as Everard leaves the picture it gets harder to focus on the guy -- he's making his way out through the dancers in the club, then, hrm, into the kitchen, and out the back door -- in the alley behind he leaps up abruptly, grabbing onto the wall, and as he climbs up the pool vision fades entirely"
[Crows-Nest] GM says, "hee hee"
Gerry says, "Well, that wasn't entirely unexpected."
Stella drives past the duplex, parks in a shadowed area, and heads behind a building.
Aisleen says, "I gues we can ask the pool to zoom to when Everard gets his bikes, and try to read the cardthere"
Stella shifts to the most ambient light she can, and drifts back toward the duplex, looking for a way in.
Aisleen says (to pool), "Everard buying his bike, please"
Chaz says (to Stella), "Stand by..."
[nobilis] Alison asks, "Was any attempt made to ask Everard what was written ont he card?"
Chaz guises to look slightly different, but still a kid, with a notebook and pencil.
[nobilis] GM says, "I don't think so"
GM says (to Stella), "there's a window in back"
Chaz . o O (to stella) ( Tell me when you're in--I'll distract him out front. )
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "doht."
Aisleen tries to divine whether Everard is still asleep
Stella . o O (to Chaz) ( I'm heading in now. )
Chaz walks up to the front door, rings the bell.
Chaz tucks his skateboard under an arm.
GM says, "I think Everard's been woken up by now"
[nobilis] Alison asks, "Also, is anyone heading for the hospital?"
GM says, "there's a pause, and then the guy comes to the door. "Yeah, I'll call you back in a second, Frank," he says into his phone. "What is it?""
Aisleen asks (of pool), "well?"
Chaz exclaims, "Hi!"
[nobilis] GM says, "(er, right)"
GM says, "Everard is heading into a motorcycle dealership"
Chaz says, "I'm in a program to help keep disavantaged kids off the streets."
Stella looks around in mythic first, to see if anything jumps out at her.
GM says, "he talks to the clerk for a bit, then looks through some catalogs, and points one or two things out"
Chaz exclaims, "I'll be participating in a skate-a-thon next week.  We'll be doing brand new tricks!"
Chaz exclaims, "I've been practicing all month!"
[nobilis] GM says (to Chaz), "hee hee"
[nobilis] Alison says, "If no one else is at the hospital, and if other folks are hanging around the chancel, I'll go to the hospital."
[nobilis] Aisleen says (to alison), "sure."
GM says, "then he talks a bit more with the clerk, and finally he pulls the card out of his wallet and slides it across the counter"
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "also, is there a way to find out what illegal prescription medicine everard was taking?"
GM says, "the clerk picks it up carefully and looks at it, and then puts away the existing catalog and brings out a single page torn from another catalog"
Chaz exclaims, "Wanna see some of the tricks I'll be doing?  They're cool!"
Alison waves, "Bye-bye -- I'm gonna go see that guy in the hospital that was racing Davey and got hurt and stuff."
Stella then switches to prosaic (assuming there are no helpfully obvious mythical items around) and begins systematically going through anything that seems even remotely interesting.
Aisleen asks (of pool), "can you zoom in on the card?"
GM says, "they talk a bit more and then Everard passes over his platinum card and then the clerk hands back the business card and the credit card and they go out"
Gerry . o O (to Stella) ( Look for a radio/walkie-talkie. )
GM says, "again, it looks like the card's not-quite-in-sight"
GM says, "meanwhile, back at the guy's house, Stella is hunting around"
Gerry says (to Aisleen), "This isn't helping.  We need the physical card."
Alison finds a mortal on-chancel with a car who can give her a ride. She also makes sure to stop at a florist's on the way, to pick up some get-well flowers.
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Which, apparently is what Alison is doing."
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "of course i just realized i made a mistake in the dream"
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "i should have opened up the wallet to look for the card"
Stella . o O (to ) ( Gerry Thanks, I'll include that on my search. )
[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of gm), "Can I undo my turns up to that point?"
[nobilis] Gerry says (to Ais), "Heh."
[nobilis] GM says, "I think it'd be easier to look for the card in reality :)"
GM says, "the guy's got a messy bedroom, not surprisingly"
GM says, "he's got a tv with a PS2 attached"
GM says, "and bags of cheese doodles on the floor"
Alison exclaims (at GuyWithCar), "Thanks for the ride! I'm gonna make sure you get a promotion. From junior windmill blade tender to *senior* windmill blade tender!"
GM says, "and a mini-fridge"
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "that's katre's room!"
[nobilis] GM says (to Alison), "hee hee"
[Crows-Nest] Chaz exclaims, "It's katre, the evil brake-cutting fiend!"
GM says, "and various editions of biker's world magazine"
Alison goes into the hospital and looks for an info desk.
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "and he seemed so friendly"
[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "Uhoh.  It looks like my machine is starting to crash."
Stella munches a cheese doodle.  They're stale.
[nobilis] Alison asks, "I assume we know Everard's last name, right?"
GM says (to Alison), ""Yes, little girl?" the clerk says"
[Crows-Nest] katre asks, "er, what?"
[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of Alison), "are you old enough to be in hospitals?"
[nobilis] GM says, "Carmichel III, I believe"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "nothing. don't worry. No plots are being hatched"
Alison says (to Clerk), "Hi! I'm here to see Mr. Everard Carmichel. The third."
GM says, "but, yeah, nothing particularly suspic -- oh, hang on"
[Crows-Nest] katre says, "aisleen's the only one allowed in my room.  well, aisleen and lindy"
[nobilis] Stella asks, "any wallets or jackets or papers laying about?"
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Reboot."
GM says, "set of tools in the corner"
[nobilis] Alison says (to Aisleen), "We'll soon find out."
GM says, "set of lockpicks sitting on top of them"
Chaz tones down the tricks to mortal-level, but they're still pretty impressive
Stella . o O ( Aha! )
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( I'm seeing tools <insert description>; anything that could be used to cut brakes? )
GM says (to Chaz), ""hey, not bad, kid -- you ever thought about taking up motorbikes?""
Chaz exclaims, "Motorbikes!"
Chaz asks, "That could be cool!  Is that bike yours in the driveway?"
GM says, ""Yep. Beauty, ain't it?""
[nobilis] Aisleen wants a color printer hooked up the pool so she could print the images of the people she saw out
Alison asks (of Clerk), "D'y'know what room he's in?"
Chaz swooshes over to look.
Chaz exclaims, "Nice!"
Davey appraises tools
[Crows-Nest] Chaz asks, "Is it like the other bikes that the Bilberry's had?"
GM says, "(yeah, they look like standard mechanic tools, so you could probably do so)"
[nobilis] Chaz says, "(channel, but still)"
Davey . o O ( and lockpicks. maybe for gettin' in )
[nobilis] GM says, "no -- it's a nice bike, but not the same model (and not special in the sight)"
GM says (to Alison), "room, ah, 305, looks like. take that elevator, up two floors, then third on the right"
Chaz asks, "Neat!  How long have you had it?"
Davey . o O ( don't take much more than a pair of pliers in the right place, though )
Alison exclaims (at Clerk), "OK, thanks!"
Alison runs off to the elevator.
Stella asks (of Tools), "Have you been cutting brake lines lately?"
GM says, "couple years now, I guess. figure I'll be getting a new one soons -- fancier new model came out, might have to upgrade"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "or just unscrewing the brake fluid reservoir"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "meant to think that"
Chaz nods appreciatively.
GM says, ""We do repair work, yeah -- I had to loose some screws, and clip some wires""
Alison goes up to 305, and knocks on the door if it's closed. Or peeks in if it's open.
Gerry has disconnected.
Chaz asks, "Can you do tricks on this?"
GM says, ""None of your skateboard tricks, kid -- this baby's built for speed""
Stella asks (of Lockpicks), "And what have you been doing lately?"
Chaz exclaims, "Looks pretty quick!"
GM says, "The door is 305 is ajar. Inside you see Senator Carmichel brow-beating both the nurse and his son. "Dammit, this is totally irresponsible! I want to know exactly what happened and I want to know now!""
GM says, ""Nothing today," the lockpicks say. "A while back we had to open a locker, but it was easy -- practically snapped open on its own""
Aisleen . o O (to alison) ( what's up at the hospital? did you get in? )
GM says, ""You betcha." The guy pats the side of the motorcycle. "She's a sweet ride.""
Alison waits for things to calm down before she goes in. She'll just listen quietly by the door for now.
Gerry has connected.
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "What'd I miss?"
Chaz checks the guy in mythic to see if he might be an anchor.
Alison . o O (to aisleen) ( Uh-huh -- but Mister the Second is there, and he's not very happy, so I'm waitin' until he stops shouting before I go in. )
GM says, ""Sir, I assure you, the police are doing everything they can -- in the meantime, Everard would be better off just getting some rest" "Rest? Rest! Dammit, that boy's always been a slacker! Well, I'm going back to the office -- you call me as soon as you know anything, y'hear?""
GM says, "(the guy's not an anchor)"
[nobilis] Chaz says (to Gerry), "Senator browbeating kid and nurse, trying to find out what's going on."
[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of gm), "can i do that through a pool?"
Gerry leaves Aisleen to the scrying pool and goes to talk with Bessie.
Gerry says (to Bessie), "I need you to tell me everything that happened, in detail, starting with when and why you stopped at a truck stop."
[nobilis] GM says (to Aisleen), "no, I don't think so -- you can dig up chancel residents to draw the faces, though"
[nobilis] Stella says, "If no other items or papers look interesting, I'll head back out.  I take a last look around to make sure I haven't missed anything."
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "well, i just wanted to identify whether Laura is an anchor, like chaz did to the guy. and I wasn't sure if i could do that through the pool"
Chaz . o O (to stella) ( See if you can find any phone number list, or address book, or the like. )
[nobilis] GM says, "no, you can't do that through the pool"
GM says (to Stella), "no, wait, hang on -- box of bullets and a pistol under the bed"
[nobilis] Davey says, "nothing's eveer that easy"
Aisleen waves the carnival's face painter over and shows her the picture of Laura in the pool, and asks her to draw it
Davey has been driving towards Stella's location
Stella . o O (to Davey) ( This guy is definately a perp.  Get a load of this <inserts description of pistol and ammo>. )
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Has the senator calmed down, or is he just blustering along and repeating himself, with no new content?)"
Davey . o O ( Stella some lowlife. Hard to believe the Bad Guys are workin' through him )
[nobilis] Davey says, "arrgh"
GM says (to Gerry), ""Well, let's see. I was driving along, and I saw this sign advertising cheap corn dogs at the truck stop, so I headed in. Then I stepped into the ladies' room, and then, uh, I got into my truck and drove off -- I drove for maybe ten minutes and then my brakes gave out and I was barrelling along""
Stella . o O (to Chaz&group) ( This is what I've found <inserts description of tools, gun, everything>. )
GM says (to Davey), "ok, you're arrived"
Gerry . o O ( Hard to believe the Bad Guys haven't killed him yet. )
Alison will move away from the door if it sounds like someone's coming out, so it won't look like she was eavesdropping.
GM says (to Alison), "the senator is walking out the door, yeah"
Davey . o O ( good point. )
Davey detrucks and discreetly approaches Stella's location
Alison waits until it looks/sounds like Everard's room is probably empty before going back to it.
Chaz says (to guy), "Well, can I sign you up to sponsor me for the skate-a-thon?  You can sign up for a certain amount per hour, or just a flat donation."
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Er, empty aside from the patient, of course)"
[nobilis] Chaz says (to Davey), "I'm chatting with the guy out front, by his bike."
[nobilis] Stella says, "If that's the last of the pertinent stuff, I beam back out the window."
GM says, "the nurse continues talking to Everard for a bit and then heads out"
Alison goes back to the door and peeks in again.
Davey . o O ( I want a good look at that gun )
GM says (to Chaz), ""Well, ok, normally I don't go in for this charity stuff, but that's some good skating -- here you go""
GM says, "the guy reaches into his wallet and hands over a pair of twenties to Chaz"
Chaz says, "Thanks, Mr...."
Davey . o O ( doh, I am stupid, Chaz has the weapon from earlier )
GM says, ""Rogers.""
Alison goes over to the bed, quietly. "Hi. Everard?"
Chaz exclaims, "Thanks, Mr. Rogers!"
Aisleen fast forwards the pool to the scene with Silver and gets the face painter to draw that
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..."
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "it ain't Mr Rogers if he isn'twearing that cardigan"
Chaz accepts the $40, notes down "Mr. Rogers--$40" on the notebook.
Alison asks (of Everard), "I'm Alis. How are you feeling?"
GM says, ""Uh .. who's that?" Everard turns his head trying to see over the edge of the bed"
Stella meets up with Davey.  "Hey, sorry about not being able to ride that gorgeous bike you made me.  You'll have to give me lessons sometime.
Alison leans up a little higher, to make it easier for him to see her. "I came to bring you some flwoers. And to say hi."
Davey says, "sure thing"
Chaz asks, "Hey, if I wanted to get into biking, who should I talk to?"
GM says, ""Oh .. uh, hi. Those are some nice flowers.""
GM says, ""Well, I can let you borrow a couple of my magazines -- here, lemme go grab some""
GM says, "He starts to walk into the house"
Alison smiles. "Don't worry, you're not supposed to remember who I am or anything. My cousin was there jogging when you got hurt, and she tried to do some first aid, but then the cops got there and shooed her away and stuff."
[nobilis] Chaz asks, "Stella and Davey are outside, right?"
Alison asks, "So I thought I'd come and see how you were, so I could tell her and stuff. Does it hurt bad?"
GM says, ""Well, it hurt a lot right after the accident -- but then they got me in here and it doesn't hurt so bad anymore -- or maybe it stopped hurting before""
GM says, "I guess my arm's going to be in a cast, still"
GM says, "and my neck, for a bit"
GM says, "but it could be worse"
Alison says, "It's good that it doesn't hurt so much -- but it's too bad that you won't get to ride your bike now."
GM says, "The guy eventually comes back with magazines. "Here, take a look at these -- you're probably going to want to start on the small bikes first and work up to the stuff I ride now when you get older""
Chaz exclaims, "Cool, thanks!"
GM says, ""Oh, man, I don't know if I'm ever going to want to ride that bike again," Everard says. "To say nothing of whether my dad's gonna let me.""
[nobilis] Gerry says, "I'm still waiting to interview Bessie, but that can wait till whenever."
Chaz waves to Mr. Rogers, then heads down the street to the next house.
[nobilis] GM asks, "uh, didn't I give her response?"
Alison nods. "Yeah... have you been riding for a long time?"

Stella exclaims (at Davey), "Thanks for the car.  These new models use so little gas, I love them!"
Chaz pulls out the $20s.
GM says, ""Eh? Oh, yeah, I guess the hitchhiker got in at the truck stop." Bessie scratches her head. "She didn't say much and then suddenly she grabbed out her gun and started shooting""
Davey says, "heh. yeah, thought it was a nice change"
Stella asks, "Oh, hi Chaz.  Great thinking about the disadvantaged kids.  $40, though, isn't that kind of a lot?"
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Did you get my last question to Everard?)"
Davey asks, "hrm. Not sure where to go from here. Where'd the thug go?"
Chaz says, "Kinda, though not unheard of."
Gerry gestures to a face painter.  "I need you to describe her very carefully.  What she looked like, what her hair was like, what she was wearing, any sort of perfume she may have been wearing.
Chaz asks (of Stella), "You said he was looking at his wallet earlier?"
Aisleen . o O (to chaz) ( long shot. rifle through the magazines he gave you. anything in there, like a piece of paper he may have accidentally left in there? )
Chaz asks (of money), "Hey, do you remember where you were before you were in that wallet?"
[nobilis] GM says, "ah, I see"
Chaz . o O (to aisleen) ( Good thinking. )
Chaz does so.
GM says, ""I've been riding a bit -- couple months, maybe? Just started to get into it and now this""
GM says, "(says Everard)"
Alison asks, "Huh. That's pretty quick to start doing racing and stuff like that, isn't it?"
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "typo or confused Bessie? I could have sworn Bessie referred to the hitchiker as 'him' at the accident"
GM says, "meanwhile, Bessie is trying to remember the hitchhiker. "Uh .. she didn't look like much .. you know, quiet type .. sorta medium height .. no perfume .. dressed kinda casually ..""
Stella says (to Chaz), "Yes, but all I saw was money.  I'm still suprised he gave you as much as he did.  You'd think if he was greedy or needy, he'd keep it."
Alison says, "Reminds me of a story my teacher told us once."
GM says, "Everard blinks at you. "A story?""
Alison says, "Uh-huh. About a Greek guy, who had wings. But they weren't real wings."
Stella says, "I looked around in mythic, too, and didn't see anything."
[nobilis] GM says, "former, sorry -- shoulda been female all through"
Alison says, "They were made of feathers stuck together with wax. They were really cool, but his dad told him to be careful with them, 'cause it would be dangerous if he tried to do stunts like flying way high and stuff."
GM says, ""Oh, yeah, I think I remember something about that. I didn't pay much attention in college.""
Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( (assuming i know what you are doing, would seeing a picture of Laura help any?) )
Gerry asks (of Bessie), "Who would you say she most reminded you of?"
GM says (to Chaz), ""We were in a different wallet," the bills say. "And, uh, nothing before that.""
Chaz asks, "You were created inside a wallet?"
Gerry . o O (to Aisleen) ( No, I don't think so, actually. )
GM says, ""She seemed pretty familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on why.""
GM says (to Chaz), ""Well, we don't remember anything before that.""
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "A long while back I sent Henderson to look for traces of magic stuffs in the rig.  Have they finished up yet?"
Alison says, "It was a good story... but it was kinda sad. 'Cause he didn't listen. He tried to do the dangerous stuff too soon, before he was ready. And he ended up crashing, and getting hurt bad and stuff."
[nobilis] GM says, "he reports back that there aren't any traces of magic in the rig"
Gerry asks (of Bessie), "Would you see she was about your height?"
Chaz digs up a $1 of his own, to see if it has a similarly truncated memory.
GM says, ""Oh. Well, I guess I should have listened better in class, eh?" Everard grins, a bit painfully."
GM says (to Gerry), ""Yeah, that seems about right. Medium, you know.""
Gerry asks (of Gm), "Same hairdo as you?"
[nobilis] Alison says, "I'm trying to figure out a way to bring up the card without mentioning the dream -- I was hoping he might tell me about getting the bike, when i asked how long he'd been riding..."
Davey . o O (to Alison) ( get him talking about the magic bike, and Laura )
Chaz . o O (to alison) ( You could say your cousin said the bike looked pretty neat. )
GM says, ""Uh, yeah, I guess, same hairdo, more or less""
Alison . o O (to Chaz) ( 'K. That's good. )
Alison smiles too.
Alison says, "By the way, my cousin said your bike looked really cool. I just thought you should know that."
Gerry asks (of Bessie), "Would you think she might even look almost like your sister, if you had one?"
GM says (to Chaz), "$1 bills have a long and sordid history of being passed hand-to-hand and lying in drawers"
Alison asks, "Was it, like, special or something?"
GM says, ""Hoo boy, was it ever""
GM says, ""I got it from this one guy -- he had this special bike catalog""
GM says, ""I don't know where he got it from, but he had some slick bikes""
Chaz looks at the date on the $20's, and the serial no.  Sequential?
GM says, "yeah, and they're new bills"
Alison asks, "Yeah? That's neat -- how'd you find out about him?"
GM says (to Gerry), ""Uh, I suppose. All I have is a brother, though.""
Aisleen . o O (to alison) ( if asking about the bikes doesn't work, maybe pursue the other friends who ride train of thought )
Gerry asks (of Bessie), "Now, she had a gun.  Where did that gun come from, if you can remember?"
GM says (to Alison), ""This guy in a club told me about him -- gave me a tip that if I went to this one store and asked to see Charlie and showed him his card, he'd .. ""
Alison . o O (to aisleen) ( The other Bilberry members? )
GM says, ""Hmm, where did I put that card?""
Alison looks around, to help Everard find it.
GM says, ""My pants are hanging up over there, you could look in -- oh, wait, I forgot, I left it on my dresser at home.""
[Crows-Nest] Chaz says (to GM), "Curse you! ;-)"
Alison . o O (to Familia) ( He says the card's on his dresser. )
Alison . o O ( At home. Any of you know where he lives? )
GM says, ""Shoulda left it in my wallet, but I'm always worried about my wallet getting lifted. Dad gave me no end of a lecture the last time that happened.""
Chaz . o O (to alison) ( What did it say? )
Alison . o O (to Chaz) ( Not sure yet. )
Gerry . o O (to Alison) ( Ask to see his driver's license. )
GM says (to Gerry), ""Hmm, let's see. I think she -- oh, that's right. She pulled it out of the glove compartment.""
Chaz . o O ( Heh )
Gerry . o O (to Alison) ( Um, cutely, I guess. )
Alison asks, "Want me to check your wallet anyway, just in case?"
Aisleen . o O (to alison) ( pretend you are curious about his age :) )
[nobilis] GM says (to Gerry), "hee hee"
GM says, ""Uh .. yeah, I guess. Just to make sure. I'm pretty sure it's not in there, though.""
Gerry asks (of Bessie), "That's an odd place for it to be.  DO you usually keep a gun in the glove compartment of your rig?"
GM says, ""Me? Nah. I got a tire iron in the back, sure, just in case, but no gun.""
Alison goes to look. At the license, and to check for the card anyway -- just in case.
Chaz . o O (to familia) ( We could frame this guy, you know.  Put the gun under his bed, tip the cops. )
[nobilis] Alison says, "Also, might as well check if he's the right age to try to hook him up wth my 'cousin'."
GM says, "There is no card, but you can get the address from his license -- it looks like it's a fancy district hereabouts"
[nobilis] GM says, "and yeah, I guess he's around Aisleen's age, if that's the cousin"
Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( Shouldn't be too hard, I think he planted the gun in the rig.  But I'd like Henderson to look at it first. )
[nobilis] Davey says, "I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the threads"
Chaz . o O (to gerry) ( Sure, I'll bring it over. )
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "hm. possibilities."
[nobilis] Gerry says, "My theory is that Rogers cut the brakes and planted the gun which had some sort of spell on it to get Bessie to shoot Everhard."
Alison grins, when she puts the license back. "You're my cousin's age, too. Maybe you should meet her again some time, now that you're conscious."
Chaz asks (of Stella,Davey), "Gerry wants me to bring the gun back to the chancel.  Need me for anything else here?"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "aw man. that's a perfect time to say, "pray to the wind!""
Davey notes to self yet again to learn flower stuff
Alison says (to Everard), "If you wanna call her, just pray to the wind."
Alison winks conspiratorily, and probably confusingly.
Aisleen . o O (to alison) ( yeah come by, please )
GM says, "He blinks at Alison. "That's funny, I thought I --""
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "ah, messing with the mortals"
Stella asks, "Hey Davey, on the way back, you could be a bike, and teach me how to bike, eh?"
[Crows-Nest] Davey blushes
Davey says, "sure thing"
Alison waves, "I'm gonna go tell her you're OK. OK? But maybe we can come back and see you later some time."
Alison exclaims, "Bye bye!"
Chaz skates back to the chancel and gives the gun to Henderson.  It falls to the ground.  Then he picks it up and gives it to Henderson's flunky.
GM says, "He waves, with the arm not in the cast"
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Oops. AFK."
[nobilis] GM says (to Chaz), "hee hee"
Stella and Daveyy vroom away.
Alison goes out to Senior Tender Bart, and tells him that we're going to pick up Aisleen.

GM says, "ok, so everyone eventually regroups at the chancel"
Davey says, "it's all about center of gravity"
[nobilis] Chaz asks, "The idea was, what--to see if it had a trace of noble magic on it?"
[nobilis] Alison says, "And to see what was written on it."
[nobilis] Chaz asks, "Written?"
[nobilis] Chaz says, "Oh, the card."
[nobilis] Chaz says, "No, I meant the gun."
[nobilis] Alison says, "In case it has an address we can scout out, or a name we can background check on -- oh, you didn't -- ah."
[nobilis] Alison says, "Never mind."
Stella says (to Davey), "This is pretty cool.  Since being enNobled, I've learned how to fire  hand grenades, and now I'm getting the hang of this motorcycle thing.  I'm going to be a tough guy yet."
[Crows-Nest] Aisleen asks (of stella), "and you claim you are not a fighting character?"
Stella asks (of Davey), "Maybe I'll try parachuting next, since it can't hurt me anymore.  Or maybe jet skiing.  Don't they do that in 007 movies?"
[Crows-Nest] Stella exclaims, "I wasn't trying to be.  Its not my fault, really!"
[nobilis] GM says, "hee hee"
Aisleen says (to Stella), "I will take you parasailing on my boat, if you wish"
Davey says, "I think they're runnin' out of sports. They were doing that sissy powered-parachute thing last one I saw"
Stella exclaims (at Aisleen), "That sounds fun!"
Alison asks, "Anyone else wanna go try to sneak into Ever's house with us?"
Chaz checks on the history of the biker magazines, to see if any of 'em didn't come from a store or delivered to his house.
GM says, "it looks like they're all normal magazines, so either bought or subscribed-to"
Aisleen says, "What's the address again? I am hoping he doesn't live with the Senator"
Stella says (to Alison), "I can sneak pretty well in daylight.  Night is a bit trickier."
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Yeah, I want to see if anything magical has been done to the gun."
Chaz says (to stella), "Well, if they have lights on in the house, it shouldn't be *too* difficult.  We can just bring a flashlight, shine it in through the window, and you're set."
Chaz says, "Oh, hey, we should dust for fingerprints, too."
Chaz says, "Or just chat with them."
[nobilis] Alison asks (of GM), "Does the address look like he lives with the Senator? Or is it not clear?"
Chaz asks (of fingerprints), "Hey, you there?"
Davey says, "I thought at first that Everard got hooked into the War because his dad is hooked up, but I'm startin' to think the dad's just a petty tyrant"
Gerry says (to Chaz), "I think they're just going to be Bessie's."
Chaz says (to Gerry), "Well, Mr. Rogers may have planted it to begin with."
GM says (to Alison), "looking up the senator's address -- ah, hrm, it looks like they do live together, yeah"
Alison gets some magic toys to go along -- invisibility, confusion, whatever's handy.
GM says, "meanwhile, the gun has faint magic traces on it -- not like it was the subject of a spell but like it was incidentally mentioned"
Alison says (to Aisleen), "He's at <address>. That doesn't really sound like an apartment or a dorm or anything, so he probably does live with his dad."
Chaz asks, "Can we do the same thing with Bessie?"
Aisleen says, "okay. we will have to be careful then"
Gerry asks, "All right, last chance.  Henderson, would you please check out Bessie?"
Aisleen asks, "i have invisibility. are we ready?"
Stella hands Chaz a flashlight with no batteries.
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "also what is your ideal character?"
Chaz grins.
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "ilac"
GM says, "Henderson frowns as he studies Bessie. "She's got traces on her -- it looks like there's -- or was -- some kind of magical compulsion on her""
Alison asks, "I'm ready. Do we wanna take a car, or an invisible zeppelin?"
Davey bristles. *what?*
Aisleen asks, "Why not fly?"
Alison says, "OK. If you wanna."
Stella says, "We should take Davey."
Aisleen says, "that's a good point"
Davey says, "dammit. I thought I'd be able to tell if someone messed with my anchor. I gotta be more careful"
Chaz asks, "Should we all go, or just some of us?"
Alison asks, "Won't the senator hear Davey vroom vrooming?"
Davey says, "one second."
Aisleen says (to davey), "make an electric silent car"
Davey says, "okay"
Stella asks, "Not if he's not a vroomy vehical.  How about a nice inconspicous van?"
Davey apologizes to Bessie for not looking out for her more, says a quick farewell and prepares to hit the road
Davey says, "mommyvan it is"
Alison asks, "My turn to drive now?"
Aisleen says, "so what happens to all the stuff he has made already? just lies around the chancel? Like Stella's Honda and stuff"
Davey says, "(those electrics only seat two)"
Alison says, "Aisleen gotta drive last time."
Aisleen asks (of alison), "i did?"
Alison asks (of Aisleen), "Didn't you?"
Davey says, "yeah, I guess it does, till I destroy it. Huh."
Aisleen says, "I thought Gerry did"
Davey says, "I only started makin' stuff today."
Aisleen doesn't have her license yet. She failed her last road test
Alison says, "Oh, yeah, that's right."
Aisleen says (to davey), "when you were a bus"
Alison asks, "So it's still my turn anyway, right?"
Alison smiles hopefully.
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "are we going to play the sneaking in or does inky have to go?"
Chaz asks, "How many of us should go?"
Davey sighs. "Let's not get stopped, okay?"
[nobilis] GM says, "I have, hmm, twenty minutes -- probably enough time to go in and get it and then we'll break"
Aisleen asks (of chaz), "think you can distract the senator and his wife?"
Chaz says, "I could do the skate-a-thon thing again."
Chaz grins.
[nobilis] Aisleen says (to chaz), "by the way, you have to take us out for burgers or something with that 40 dollars"
Chaz says, "Though I doubt the senator will be as impressed as Mr. Rogers."
Stella says, "If you can get $40 out of the last guy, you should be able to get twice that from these two.  Show them some dangerous-looking stunts."
[nobilis] Chaz says, "Heh."
Alison says, "Maybe you can sell him a newspaper."
Davey says, "maybe we can ask to be pages."
Chaz says, "Newspaper pages."
Aisleen clambers in to Davey's newest creation
Chaz says, "Actually, it's probably not as difficult as all that.  Just beam in, find the kid's room, beam out."
Davey . o O ( ah, the life of a Noble )
Chaz says, "Make it at night, so they're all asleep."
Chaz says, "And don't trip any alarms."
Alison climbs into the driver's seat.
Aisleen looks nervous
Stella rides in the headlights.
Alison exclaims, "Let's go! Vrroom vr-- I mean, zap zap!"
Chaz says (to Alison), "I don't think you look old enough, kiddo."
GM says, "you guys hop in the van and head over"
Gerry asks (of pool), "Show me Everhard's room?"
Alison says (to Chaz), "Aw, but it's nighttime. Nobody'll notice."
Chaz says, "Here, take a disguise spell."
Alison pockets the disguise spell, and will pull it out if they get pulled over.
GM says, "you've got to park a fair distance outside; it's a reasonably big estate"
GM says, "there's a driveway that extends closer to the house but it's blocked off by a gate"
Davey says, "okay, I guess I'll use an invisibility for the sneaking."
Aisleen pops an invisiblity potion
[Crows-Nest] Stella says, "I'm assuming the place is well lit for security reasons."
Alison creeps up to the fence, of there's a fence, and looks through.
Aisleen whispers, "Any dogs?"
Chaz sniffs.
GM says, "the ironwork fence surrounds the lawn and the gardens and then the house"
Aisleen flies up and hovers over the gate
Stella flits from lamp to lamp, checking out the grounds.
Alison holds her breath, and tries to fit between the bars.
GM says, "the house is quiet -- there's a light on upstairs but that's it"
Chaz asks (of Alison), "You can change into a cloud, can't you?"
Aisleen flies down and picks up Alison
Aisleen asks, "what about davey?"
GM says, "it's pretty big, with two wings off the central house"
Alison exclaims (at Aisleen), "Oof!"
Aisleen says (to Alison), "sorry, I should have asked"
Aisleen sets Alison down gently where she was before
Alison says, "S'OK -- lemme catch my brath."
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Breath)"
Davey asks, "do we all need to go?"
Chaz says (to Davey), "Probably not."
Davey says, "If we're just gere for the card, the fliers can probably handle it. We're the backup."
Chaz says (to Aisleen), "But you should go invisible before someone sees you and goes mad."
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "i am :)"
Alison tries squeezing through the bars again, since that's more fun than cheating as a cloud.
Aisleen flies off to the upstairs window where there is a light on
[nobilis] Alison says (to Chaz), "So instead of seeing Aisleen flying around, they see Alison being carried by someone invisible."
Chaz . o O ( Impulsive little squirt... )
[nobilis] Chaz says, "Heh."
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Can I get the pook to shoe me inside the house?"
Aisleen . o O (to stella) ( (with others to listen in) see anything yet? )
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "If not, should I just use the pool instead?"
[nobilis] Alison says, "Heh."
GM says (to Aisleen), "you see the senator sitting at his desk talking into his phone. "Dammit, I want this bill on the floor *tomorrow* -- those machines are unsafe, and I'll see them banned if it's the last thing I do""
Davey . o O ( AIEEEEE )
[nobilis] GM says, "you can poke around the house vaguely, but it's dark in there and hard to see"
Davey . o O ( this is a time for placing a call to Wilfred and putting that in triple secret cloture or something )
Aisleen flits to the next window next to the Senator's room
Alison crawls around in the grass, sneaking towards the house and staying out of the spotlights. Playing soldier. Or spy. Or maybe ferret.
[nobilis] Aisleen laughs
GM says (to Aisleen), "this one's dark, probably a bedroom"
[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "no moon light? nothing streaming in to the window that i can look at?"
Stella wanders the house looking into stuff.  Also in mythic and prosaic.
[nobilis] GM says, "you can vaguely make out the stuff in there, yeah -- dresser, bed, that kind of thing"
GM says, "it looks like the senator's bedroom, since there are suits and stuff hanging up"
Stella rifles the dresser.
Aisleen flits to next window
GM says, "eventually, however, you guys track down Everard's bedroom, off in one of the wings"
Alison infiltrates the flwoer beds.
Aisleen . o O (to stella) ( find anything interesting? )
Aisleen also sends mental directions to Stella to Everard's bedroom
GM says, "it has an equally-large closet like the senator's, but filled with less suits and more pseudo-punk"
Davey . o O ( aw, we coulda brought our own seends and really infiltrated the flower beds )
Stella pats pockets, checks in boots and shoes, looks for a safe, etc.
Davey . o O ( hey, are we gonna take the card? Cause Everard will probably remember telling Alison where it was )
Chaz hovers above, invisibly, mostly making sure Alison stays out of trouble.
GM says, "no need for all that -- the card is indeed sitting on the dresser"
Davey . o O ( maybe we should just memorize it )
Aisleen . o O (to davey) ( good point )
Aisleen . o O (to alison) ( talk to the card first? )
Chaz . o O ( I don't think the kid' )
Alison . o O ( You should SIght it, at least. )
Chaz . o O ( ...is going to be using it again. )
Alison . o O ( If it's magicky, we wanna show Henderson. )
Chaz . o O ( Yeah, I think we should take it. )
Davey . o O ( right, but we don't want him thinking of us as a bunch of burglars )
Alison . o O ( But if you feel bad about stealing and stuff, you can leave him a note, if you want. )
GM says, "it's a simple white card, with SILVER printed on one side and, hand-written on the other side, "Get him the special catalog -- whatever he wants, all the extras""
Stella examines the card.
Alison . o O ( With little hearts on it. )
Aisleen . o O (to davey) ( especially if i want him to ask me out some day :) )
GM says, "(the SILVER being printed in that fancy embossed silver lettering)"
Gerry . o O ( We need the card.  Aisleen can apologize for taking it on their date. )
GM says, "in the Sight, it glows faintly magical"
Alison looks at what kind of sneaky flowers are lurking around the place, and makes a note to check on their symbolic meaning later on.
Stella . o O (to all) ( mind if I pocket it and bring it back for inspection?  Alison, what did you want me to write him? )
Davey . o O ( bah, if it's magic, we probably do need it )
GM says (to Alison), "there are a lot of flowers here; if there's a symbolic meaning it is a confused one"
[nobilis] Alison says, "(Stella misses the point ;) )"
[nobilis] Aisleen says, "no note. just take it and lets go"
[Crows-Nest] Stella asks, "yeah, I did.  What was the point?"
[Crows-Nest] Alison says, "Alison is trying to set up Aisleen with Everard."
Stella pockets the card and heads out.
Aisleen asks, "okay, are we set and ready to go?"
Chaz . o O (to alison) ( Need a lift back to davey? )
[Crows-Nest] Alison says, "So, she wanted Aisleen to leave Everard a note."
Alison exclaims (at Chaz), "Shhhhhhhh!"
[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "watch out intrepid adventurers use their world-searing power to stalk a rich punk kid"
Chaz . o O (to alison) ( Okay, okay... )
Aisleen flies back to Davey, resisting temptation to eavesdrop on the Senator again
[Crows-Nest] Stella says, "Ah, cross noble romances."
Chaz watches as Alison painstakingly crawls back to the gate.
Alison tip-toes back to the fence, shaking her head at Chaz's flagrant noise-making.
[nobilis] Chaz asks, "?"
Davey morph morph vrrrrrm
[nobilis] Alison says (to Chaz), "You were tihnking much too loud."
GM says, "hee hee"
GM says, "ok, and everyone heads back to the chancel with the card"
[nobilis] Aisleen laughs
Chaz . o O ( LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU. )
Alison asks, "What's the card look like?"
[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Did we ever find out if Bessie had been a victim of magics?"
[nobilis] GM says, "yes, and we said yes"
[nobilis] Chaz says, "Yes, she was."
Aisleen sends  amessage to Henderson to come and meet us immediately
[nobilis] Gerry says, "It's way too late."
[nobilis] GM says (to Alison), "I described it up a bit"
GM says, "next week, we find out what's magical about the card and what Amanda's party is like"
Davey says, "woo"
Davey says, "thanks all"
[nobilis] Aisleen says (to GM/inky), "enjoy"
[nobilis] Alison says (to GM), "Yeah. But Alison wasn't in the room, so i thought I'd ahve her chat about it."
[nobilis] Stella says, "Excellent."
Alison says, "Good game. Fun sneaking."
[nobilis] GM says, "ah, ok, wasn't sure if that was a request to me or them"
[nobilis] Gerry says, "Wow, I made it to the end!"
[nobilis] Chaz exclaims (at Gerry), "Whee!"
[nobilis] GM says (to Gerry), "hee hee"
Aisleen says (to Alison), "entertaining side bits here and there"
GM has disconnected.
[nobilis] Stella exclaims, "Great game, y'all.  See you next week!"
[nobilis] Stella says, "quit"
Aisleen goes home.
Gerry says, "Sleep."
DavidW goes home.
Gerry has disconnected.
Chaz exits stage left.
