Aisleen leaves Chaz to the motorcycle and goes to inspect the house

Aisleen asks (of wind), "anyone inside?"

GM says, ""Haw haw!" says the motorcycle. "We hide in the bushes, and then he pops up and blows 'em away, and then we drive off before the police come!""

Chaz asks (of motorcycle), "How often do you do this?"

GM says (to Aisleen), "The wind carries out to you the very faint sound of snoring."

Aisleen shape shifts in to wind and breezes in to the house

[Crows-Nest] Davey asks, "this game needs some non-psychotic motorcycles. don't you know 'you meet the nicest people on a Honda'?"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "i figure there may be a open window, a chimney, mail slot, something for wind to get in"

GM says, ""Depends how often we get a job -- maybe every month or so. Then we can spend the rest of the time ridin'. Although lately Carlo's been spending all his time with that tavern.""

GM says, "Aisleen slips in through a half-open window"

Chaz asks (of motorcycle), "Get a lot of money from his last job?"

Aisleen looks around the room

GM says, ""Carlo handles the money stuff -- I just provide the getaway. But it sounded like he's been pretty flush lately, yeah""

Chaz says (to motorcycle), "Alrighty. Thanks."

Chaz inspects the motorcycle and shed for any other clues, then heads over to the house.

GM says (to Aisleen), "it looks more or less like a college dorm room in a dorm where the students all had a bunch of spare cash and the dorm didn't mind alcohol and smoking in the room"

GM says, "So there are random wine bottles discarded on the furniture and smashed on the floor and empty food cartons on the floor and so on"

GM says (to Davey), "it looks pretty shot-up, and also mostly rifled by police -- looking in mythic, though, you sense something in the back of the glove compartment"

GM says (to Chaz), ""That one looks like -- Delvegna Shipping and Transport""

Chaz says, "Aha."

Davey whispers soothingly to the poor old girl, and goes for the glovebox

Aisleen says (to phone), "no cell phone, nothing? bah"

Tyoka . o O (to aisleen) ( er, what? )

GM says (to Davey), "it looks like there's a false back in the glove compartment, but knowing there's something behind it, you figure out how to pop it open"

GM says (to Davey), "behind the false back is what looks like a paperweight or small statue, made out of solid gold and shaped like a dragon"

Aisleen . o O (to tyoka) ( i was trying to figure out how to get carlos to talk to you )

Chaz says (to Aisleen), "The scrawled number is Devegna's cell phone."

GM says, "meanwhile, back in the bar"

Davey whispers to the car, "Hey. Are you okay?"

[Crows-Nest] Davey asks, "whoa, he's actually drinking?"

[nobilis] Chaz exclaims, "Woo!"

GM says, ""Naw, my bike's back at my place," the guy says. "I gotta keep it locked up so nobody swipes it.""

[nobilis] Raul exclaims, "all kinds of stuff!"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "We're tracking down old leads."

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "just acting"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "religion forbids alcohol"

[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "right"

Tyoka says, "wow"

GM says, ""I just walk over here when I feel like drinking" -- he jabs you in the ribs "which is alla time when I got the cash, haw haw""

[nobilis] Gerry is, once again, woefully behind.

GM says (to Davey), "the car whimpers sadly"

Tyoka laughs, orders more beer

[nobilis] Chaz says, "This is a very old lead--we're tracking down who killed Cecily's anchor. She thought it was us/Stella, hence the duel."

GM says (to Davey), ""Ow ow ow""

GM says (to Tyoka), ""My bike can kick the ass of any bike on the road!""

[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Hm. Okay. I'm back at chancel, I guess?"

Davey whispers, "I'm sorry to see this happen to you. I'm tryin' to find the men that did it. Can you tell me about that day?

GM says, ""I'm just a rental car," says the car, "I didn't ask for any kind of trouble""

GM says, ""Guy that rented me seemed pretty nice -- he was talking to himself about some kind of meeting and a lead he'd gotten for his map""

Davey asks, "well, then you'll be home and fixed up soon, eh?"

Chaz . o O (to Gerry) ( Hey, you there? Can you scry for this address? It should be the Develgna Shipping Company, and it looks like Develgna hires people to kill folks. )

GM says, ""This was after a couple days of driving around, I guess""

Tyoka says, "You gotta show me that bike someday"

GM says, ""Yeah, sure, if I don't get thrown on the scrap heap -- I hope I'm cheaper to repair than to replace!""

Tyoka says, "mine's like, complete shit"

Michel fills the null-field.

Gerry asks the mystical pools of looking around to show him the Shipping Company in question.

[nobilis] Davey asks, "will a lesser preservation help this car at all?"

GM says, ""Anyway, he parked me in the middle of the road and started to get out, and then somebody started shooting""

[nobilis] Davey says, "I'm a sentimantal type"

[nobilis] GM says, "yeah, it'd probably hold it together some"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "you know, that rough exterior is just a front. you are a softy"

Davey says, "maybe this'll help."

Chaz says (to Aisleen), "OK, I have an idea. If you go to your wind form, I'm gonna call this cell phone number. When I do, a phone line spirit is created to convey the information between the two phones--you try to track it down the other direction to see if you can find the guy."

Davey lays on hands to repair the internal damage, nothing too dramatic.

Aisleen creates a gentle breeze in the kitchen to show agreement

Chaz smile.

GM says, ""Then we sat there for a while -- I was aching and the guy driving me didn't say much anymore, 'cept something about having to put the map away""

[nobilis] Chaz says, "..s"

Davey asks, "do you remember if the guy that rented you mentioned any human names?"

Davey asks, "wait, after he was shot, he said that? and died after?"

GM says, ""Well, he said 'Cecily' would be happy if he found whatever it is he was looking for""

Chaz calls the cell phone number.

Davey says, "okay"

GM says, ""Yeah, he fell back on my front seat and mumbled that""

GM says, ""Then he stuck the map down under the seat there, and then he stopped moving""

Davey mutters, "put the map away? damn. whass that gonna be about?"

Davey fishes under the seat.

GM says (to Davey), "aha, there we go"

GM says (to Davey), "it's folded and has some spots of blood on it"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "I gotta get me one of those rental cars with the secret compartment ;-)"

Davey . o O ( sweet, I found the map he was working on )

[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Isn't that the phoney map we planted for him?"

[nobilis] Davey says, "aw. well, maybe"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "It's the second map--ours was replaced before he got to it."

GM says, "meanwhile, back with the other three"

Davey . o O ( any other questions for the car? )

GM says, "Gerry takes a look in the scrying pool"

Chaz . o O (to davey) ( Why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway? )

GM says (to Gerry), "it looks like this is a fairly good-sized and bustling shipping office"

GM says (to Gerry), "it's got two secretaries and four main guys plus a boss handling traffic"

GM says, "and making calls out to various workers and ships to arrange transport"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "afk for a few, please continue with others"

Gerry asks (of Pool), "Can I see the boss inside his office?"

GM says, "The scene shifts briefly to a man at a desk, talking on the phone and making some notes on a pad, before it dissolves again"

Chaz . o O (to davey) ( You might ask if the car overheard anything about where he got the information he was going to check out. )

Gerry . o O ( Well, it certainly looks like a shipping company. If it's shipping death, you can't tell by looking. )

Gerry checks for stationery for an address.

Chaz . o O (to gerry) ( Can you check out the scene on the day Cecily's anchor was killed? )

GM says (to Gerry), "it's got an address in Agriegento"

Davey says (to the), "car did you meet any other people? It's important for me to find out who the renter spoke to, 'cause they're the ones that arranged the shooting."

[nobilis] Davey says, "dang it"

Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( It's in Agriegento, which I believe is in Italy somewhere or other. )

GM says, ""Well, we stopped in Agriegento for a bit," says the car. "We'd been driving sort of along the coast here.""

Gerry says (to Pool), "Show me the boss on [insert killing date here]."

GM says, "This is a totally different scene than the last one -- new desk, new office, new layout"

GM says, "Still paperwork on the desk"

GM says, "but it's in french"

Gerry checks for stationery. Again.

Davey says (to the car), "okay. I'm gonna go meet my friends and try to do some justice. You're a good car. I hope it all works out for you."

Davey sneaks out and makes for rejoining Chaz

GM says (to Davey), ""I feel better already," says the car. "My windows don't seem as achy""

Aisleen looks for the boss guy on the phone to see what's on his desk

GM says, "<a pause> "Yes..?""

Chaz says, "Well, it went to his head. He's been talking about how he's gonna get even *more* out of you for the next one, and, well..."

GM says, "Aisleen-as-breeze ruffles the paperwork on Delvegna's desk. He looks around impatiently and stands up and closes the window."

Aisleen . o O ( whew, i am inside already )

GM says, "<icily> "I appreciate your concern, but I'm a little confused as to the source""

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "ok, back"

Chaz says, "Crap, here he comes. I'll call you back later."

Aisleen hovers over the desk. Does he have a computer? open file cabinet?

Chaz hangs up the phone.

GM says, "Delvegna is just scribbling something down on a piece of paper when Chaz hangs up"

Aisleen reads the paper

Raul says (to Aisleen), "<He's neither -- he's French.>"

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "do i speak french?"

Gerry tries to read the paper.

GM says, "He in surprise and then annoyance at the phone, and shouts "Tomaso, get in here!""

[nobilis] GM says, "yes"

[nobilis] GM says, "(but this is italy, so the stuff is in italian. which you also speak)"

GM says (to Gerry), "It says "Trace this call--""

Raul says (to Aisleen), "<I never heard if anyone figured out exactly how he got mixed up in everything, but by all accounts he's not Nobilis. He's been causing all kinds of troubles with our Anchors.>"

Raul says (to Aisleen), "<We never got very close to him, and there were some indications that he might have been dead. I'd say be careful.>"

GM says (to Aisleen), "he's got a laptop on his desk and a filing cabinet, yeah"

GM says, "the laptop seems only to have a solitaire game on it at the moment, though"

Chaz slips out the back before they get there.

GM says, "The guy pops the lock on the shed and shows off the boke"

Davey hides the Shovelhead behind the house

Chaz says (to Davey), "Ooh, a dragon and a map. Cool."

Davey asks, "same one Stella saw?"

Tyoka asks, "Jeezuschrist, how much did that thing cost?"

Aisleen rifles through folders, trying to get info before tomaso comes to talk to death-angel

Chaz thinks back to the description.

GM says, ""Sweetest ride you ever rode, I'm telling you""

Raul says (to Aisleen), "<How did you cross paths with him, and find out that he's Devereux?>"

GM says, ""Somebody just called me on my cellphone -- I want the number traced.""

Aisleen looks at Tomaso

GM says, ""At once, sir," says Tomaso"

Aisleen blows the number out of the hand, and out the door

[Crows-Nest] (from Gerry) Aisleen wonders if Tomaso is dating material.

GM says (to Aisleen), "he's middle-aged and looks like a shipping office clerk"

GM says, ""Yipe!" Tomaso says, and chases after the paper"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says (to gerry), "i am still waiting for the senator's son to call me"

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "can i hide the paper somewhere so tomaso can't get it?"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "There's nothing on the paper but 'trace the call'."

[nobilis] GM says, "you can blow it someplace, but -- yeah."

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "good point."

Aisleen drops paper

GM says, "Tomaso bends over and picks it up and carries it back, and then sits down at his desk and starts talking quietly into the phone"

Aisleen listens in

Chaz looks at the map Davey has.

GM says, ""Hello," says Tomaso, "This is T speaking for D. I'd like a trace on a phone number.""

Davey studies the dragon in mythic

[nobilis] Chaz says, "Also, Cecily did a crappy job of tracking down her anchor's killers. Of course, she thought it was Stella, so."

GM says, "The dragon is normal, albeit nice"

Aisleen transmits conversation back to Davey and Chaz

Davey says, "s'not magic. But it must mean a lot to the guy."

Chaz nods.

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "did i see anything in the file cabinets while waiting for tomato?"

Davey asks, "or did, anyway. why carry it around in a rental car, though?"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "er tomaso"

[nobilis] Chaz asks, "Is this a nautical map, or land?"

[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "You say Tomaso..."

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( can the pool tell who tomaso is talking to? )

Chaz says (to Davey), "To keep it with him, probably."

GM says, "The map, as mentioned, is blood-stained, but you can make out lightly-sketched drawing of the coast off sicily"

Gerry asks (of Pool), "Can you show me who's on the other line of Tomaso's call?"

Chaz . o O (to Aisleen) ( You could do the phone line trick again, but I think it's more important to to find out who tells Devreaux what to do that to find out who works for him. )

GM says (to Gerry), "the pool gives a brief image of a somewhat grungy-looking repairman listening on his phone; he scribbles down a number on a piece of paper"

Gerry . o O (to Ais) ( No big, just a phone guy who can trace calls, I guess. )

Chaz asks (of map), "Who drew you?"

GM says (to Davey), "there're some recently-added notes at the bottom of the map-- "talk to contacts to see about determining exact location. some research req'd.""

Aisleen flips gently through the file cabinets silently, while surreptiously glancing at the laptop to see if he does anything other than solitaire

GM says, "The wind ruffles the folders in the filing cabinets lightly"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "next game, I am doing to be Duchess of Silence"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "this is a noisy domain"

Davey asks, "ungh. Can't anyone just write names and phone numbers anywhere?"

GM says, "You can't make out a lot without actually pulling them out (and presumably you don't want to do that with Delvegna here) but you catch notes detailing various shipping schemes and, towards the back, some possibly less-legal schemes for evading duty and stuff"

Davey says, "maybe we should search the evidence locker, see what he had on him. But I guess Cecily musta done that already."

Aisleen . o O (to davey) ( talk to cecily and tell her what you guys have so far )

GM says (to Chaz), ""I never saw his name -- I was sketched out with quick and easy strokes onto old browned paper, then folded and placed into an envelope. The man who drew me must have been an expert: he made no mistakes in the drawing save those he intended.""

[nobilis] Gerry asks, "Those he intended?"

Chaz asks, "Oooh, you know which mistakes he made?"

Aisleen memorizes the stuff about illegal schemes

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "can i talk to stuff while he is there? or will he hear it?"

GM says (to Aisleen), "the thing is, though, they're not *real* illegal"

GM says, "just mildly illegal"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen asks, "why don't bad guys have a nicely typed report on "The Illegal Things I Do" lying around?"

GM says (to Chaz), ""Clearly I must have been intended as a replica of an older map drawn by less-skilled hands, as I could feel him purposely putting in mistakes and correcting them""

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "it would make this search so much easier"

Chaz says (to map), "Interesting."

Chaz asks (of map), "Never got a good look at him, though? Or hear him say anything?"

GM says (to Aisleen), "if you're quiet you could probably whisper and he probably wouldn't notice"

Chaz . o O (to aisleen) ( And if he does hear you, hey, voices from the filing cabinet. He'll think he's going insane. )

Gerry watches Develgna while playing RPS with himself.

GM says, ""He never said a word -- I didn't notice his face but mostly I am concerned with hands. He had soft hands, not used to work -- but then, he only worked on me for five minutes, so --""

Chaz says, "Hrm."

Chaz thinks back to Rike's hands.

GM says (to Aisleen), "with Gerry keeping an eye on Delvegna you can probably talk to them"

Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( Ask it what kind of pen it was. )

GM says (to Chaz), "hmm, entirely possible, but hard to say for sure"

Chaz asks (of map), "Do you know where you were when you were drawn?"

GM says, "The map would shrug if it had shoulders. "A desk, someplace, in a room -- my world does not extend far behind desks and quills and ink""

Chaz asks, "Can you describe the desk?"

Aisleen whisper to a file in the cabinet, "Do you know what you contain?"

Chaz asks, "Or the quills?"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen laughs at the image of a map shrugging

GM says, "The desk was smooth and wooden with a swirling grain -- the quills were cut with a knife in the old style and dipped in ink"

Chaz says, "Hrm, hrm hrm."

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "whenever a map shrugs, there is an earthquake somewhere"

Chaz asks (of map), "Five minutes, you say. Did his hand rest on you for any appreciable length of time while he was drawing?"

GM says (to Aisleen), ""Just the usual records," says the folder. "I track shipping, containers in and containers out.""

GM says (to Aisleen), ""I don't have any of the important files, but I hope by loyal service to be allowed to hold them someday""

[Crows-Nest] Chaz exclaims, "Hee!"

GM says, ""His hand touched me briefly -- but if the ink is not to be smeared it cannot touch for long""

Aisleen asks (of file), "where does he keep the important files?"

Chaz says (to map), "Right. But, say, in a place before the ink touched it, while he was working on a different place."

GM says, ""In places, yes, his hand leaned on me""

Chaz says, "Show me where."

Davey says, "er, maybe with the living ink."

Chaz's fingernail brushes over the map as the map explains which bits the drawer touched the map the most.

GM says (to Aisleen), ""It's hard to tell-- I think, though, that this cabinet conceals another one somehow. Sometimes when my cabinet is sealed I feel it being moved, and hear the sounds of paper rustling""

GM says, ""There, for instance," says the map. "The left side was filled in last, and so touched the most.""

Chaz says, "Excellent."

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( what is the layout of this office? )

Gerry scans the offices for anything that could cause a major distraction.

[nobilis] Chaz says, "You'd think with only two channels I could keep track of them."

Aisleen asks (of cabinet), "Do you have a hidden compartment?"

Davey stares at his boots.

Chaz asks (of map), "Oh, hey, was he right or left handed?"

[nobilis] Davey says, "hey, how long ago was the murder? I'm not too clear on the timeline"

[nobilis] GM says, "you could sustain it for the rest of the day -- but to smell this would be like aspect 6 -- it's a month or two old and it's been handled by various other people since"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "Quite some time ago, at this point. A few days/weeks after our very first adventure."

GM says, ""He sketched with his left hand," the map says, "but I do not know if that was the one he favored always""

GM says (to Gerry), "yeah, there is a fire alarm and a sprinkler system"

[nobilis] Chaz asks, "Was Rike left-handed? Or anyone else we know?"

Gerry . o O (to Ais) ( You've got a fire alarm system in there. )

[nobilis] GM says, "Rike, Edmund, Jack, and Herbert are all left-handed"

GM says, ""I don't have any compartments in me," says the cabinet. "Sometimes he moves me to the side, so perhaps I conceal something on the wall""

[Crows-Nest] (from Gerry) GM sasy, "Also Richard, Dorcas, Marlin, Terry, Jimbo, Bubba, Fred, Wilma, and Walt.

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( does it seem like a viable plan to set off the alarm to have him evacuate while i search for the secret compartment? you can keep an eye on him through the pool and let me know if he talks to anyone )

Aisleen asks (of wall), "do you conceal a safe?"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "grep says Herbert showed up in nobilis2, hasn't been seen since, though mentioned a couple times."

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "i have no aspect. will i be able to move a safe?"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "er cabinet"

GM says, ""I was hoping you'd ask!" says the wall. "It's hidden away very secretly!""

[nobilis] GM says, "yeah, with some effort"

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( okay, keep the pool trained on him )

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka waits for some message

Gerry . o O (to Ais) ( Hm. I think you might be better off starting a real fire, but otherwise, it'll probably work. )

Gerry keeps the scrymera on Develgna.

[nobilis] Chaz says, "Well, hey, there's always the windmills for more of these..."

Aisleen wonders what she can cause fire with

Chaz spends 4 AMPs and ups his sense of smell.

[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "I love these chatty furnishings. Remind me to get a good Christmas gift for my minifridge"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "hee hee"

Chaz closes his eyes, inhales over the map very slowly, focussing on those parts where the hand was supposed to have rested the longest.

GM says, "might well be Rike, yeah"

GM says, "might also be Davey"

Chaz . o O (to Aisleen) ( just blow the wires together. )

Aisleen uses wind-sense to figure out if there is a kitchen or some sorta of a food area on this floor

GM says (to Aisleen), "no, although the people are all smoking, of course"

[nobilis] Chaz says, "(4 AMPs takes me to 7, BTW)"

Aisleen looks for ashtrays with still smoldering cigarette butts

GM says, "There are a couple on Tomaso's desk"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "hm. blowing smoldering butts to cause a fire quickly. is this something do-able with my powers? otherwise, it's short circuiting somelights and causing an electrical fire"

Chaz sorts out all the different scents from each other. Davey, Cecily's anchor, the anchor's helpers, the blood, the dye used to age the paper... and the final elusive scent of the guy who set this all up.

[nobilis] Gerry says, "Sounds pretty doable, if it's not too wet a day."

Aisleen says (to cigarrettes), "come on, burn!"

[nobilis] GM says (to Aisleen), "well, you'd need to find something for them to burn"

GM says (to Chaz), "yup -- smells like Rike."

Davey says, "urrgh"

Chaz . o O ( OK, it was Rike. )

Chaz . o O ( Bastard. )

Aisleen blows on them and gently nudges papers on tomaso's desk nearer to the ashtray

Davey says, "okay. so this is a fake map, but not the fake map we planted. I got that. But when did the fake fake map come into play."

GM says, "Tomaso is still talking on the phone and turned away from his desk, and so he doesn't notice as the ashes from the cigarette fall onto the paper"

Chaz . o O (to Rike) ( Hey, wake up! We can't find you! )

Aisleen moves more papers closer to the ashtray and encourages the fire to burn

GM says, "the papers flare up and fall into the wastebasket, which also catches"

Aisleen flies quickly back to the death-angel's office

GM says, "smoke starts pouring out of the wastebasket"

Aisleen hides fire extinguisher behind a plant, just in case, on her way

GM says, "Rike . o O ( (very faintly) ... Jack ... )"

[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "Come on, ciggies, light my fire/Come on, ciggies, light my fire/Try to set the desk on FIRE!"

Chaz . o O (to Rike) ( Jack did this to you? Where is he? Where are you? )

GM says, "Rike . o O ( ... trapped ... )"

GM says, "Delvegna's attention is attracted by shouts from the front office"

Chaz . o O (to rike) ( Where? What's around you? Concentrate! )

Aisleen flies around a bit, creating a breeze to encourage the fire

GM says, "He looks up and the smoke is drifting into his room"

Aisleen . o O ( hm. time to hold my breath a bit )

GM says, "He swears, grabs up his laptop, and goes into the other room"

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( keep an eye on him! )

Aisleen pushes and tugs to move the cabinet

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "I thought we might see him open the wall safe himself ;-)"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "i was hoping for that"

GM says (to Aisleen), "eventually you get it moved out of the way -- and indeed, knowing there's a safe there, you can see very faint lines on the wall"

GM says, "It looks like a false panel"

Aisleen asks (of panel), "how do i open you?"

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "as in push, pry, pull?"

GM says, ""You idiots!" Delvegna shouts. "This is what comes from not paying attention when you smoke!""

Tyoka says, "That would be telling"

[nobilis] Aisleen asks, "secret word?"

GM says, ""I just pop off," says the panel. "There's a catch on the baseboard.""

Aisleen pushes on the catch to open the panel

GM says, ""I've got to catch my flight -- you take care of things while I'm gone-- and this had better be cleaned up when I get-- no, never mind. You just take care of things.""

GM says, "There are footsteps and the front door of the office slams, as the other people run around frantically looking for water to put out the wastebasket"

GM says (to Aisleen), "it pops off, revealing a safe"

Gerry . o O ( Whoa, guys, Develgna is off to catch a flight to...somewhere. )

Chaz . o O (to jack) ( Hey, you done with whatever it was yet? Rike's implicating you again. )

Gerry keeps trailing Develgna.

Aisleen looks at the way to open the safe. combination? lock?

Chaz . o O (to Raul) ( Hey, can you figure out where Develgna's going? )

GM says, "Jack . o O ( Ah, Chaz. I think you should come to Seattle, and I think you should come right away. )"

Chaz . o O (to Jack) ( I think you might be right. )

Chaz . o O (to Jack) ( Where do I meet you? )

Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( I don't care how whimsical you are, don't go alone. )

Tyoka . o O (to Chaz) ( So, can I ditch this guy or what? )

Davey . o O ( I'll go )

GM says, "Jack's thought-transmission grunts slightly, as if he's been hit or picked up a heavy weight. ( Down by the docks. Near Bronwynn's entrance. Better bring your friends. )"

Chaz . o O (to tyoka,gerry) ( We're going to Seattle. )

Aisleen . o O ( you guys all go with chaz. i will follow as soon as i get this safre opened )

Raul says (to Chaz), "<I'll do what I can.>"

[nobilis] Raul asks (of GM), "Is it possible for me to find out what path Develgna's taking?"

[nobilis] Tyoka says, "hang on a second"

[nobilis] Tyoka asks, "is carlos suddenly no longer interesting?"

Chaz says (to Davey), "All righty. Jack wants us to go to Seattle. Let's pick up Tyoka and head out."

[nobilis] Aisleen says (to tyoka), "well, we wanted to know who his boss was"

[nobilis] Chaz says, ";He's a lackey."

[nobilis] GM says (to Raul), "yeah, in this case -- it's a straight-line path from here to taxi to airport to -- Seattle"

Raul says (to Chaz), "<He's headed to the airport for a trip to Seattle.>"

[nobilis] Tyoka says, "so I spilled beer all over myself for nothing? sigh"

Gerry . o O (to Chaz) ( I'll try and meet up with you, but right now, I don't want to lose Develgna. )

Aisleen opens safe, assuming it's doable for her, and looks inside

Tyoka says (to carlos), "Anyway"

Raul says (to Chaz), "<If you need, I can be there unobtrusively when he arrives.>"

Tyoka says, "fucking nice bike, man"

[nobilis] Chaz says (to Raul), "Hoo boy. Yeah, that'd be nice."

GM says (to Aisleen), "this might be more Gerry's department"

Tyoka says, "I.. better head homen"

Tyoka says, "now"

Chaz . o O ( Raul Hoo boy. Yeah, that'd be nice. )

Raul says (to Chaz), "<On my way.>"

GM says, ""You shtop by any time you like, buddy," Carlos says, patting Tyoka on the shoulder. "And if I'm ever in America, I'll make sure to look you up""

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( don't leave the pool yet )

Chaz . o O (to Raul) ( Actually we're going to the docks, but do keep tabs on him. )

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( i need you to look at the combination on this safe and help me open it )

Raul picks up his now-usual assortment of little weapons, heads for the airport, and guises himself as an airline employee when he gets there.

Aisleen says (to safe), "help me open you"

Gerry says, "Ah, drat."

Raul says (to Chaz), "<Okay. If I get in trouble, I'll yell.>"

Tyoka waves and staggers off. As soon as he's out of sight, he ditches the guise.

Davey . o O ( just amp up your hearing and do the safecracker trick )

Gerry stares at the pool, looking for unlocking things.

Aisleen . o O (to gerry) ( as soon as you get it open you can go :) )

Chaz . o O (to raul) ( We might be yelling a bit ourselves. )

Davey gets on his bike

Tyoka . o O (to chaz) ( hey, when you pick me up, can you bring me a new set of clothes? )

Davey asks (of Chaz), "you skatin'?"

Tyoka . o O (to davey) ( or you )

Chaz . o O (to raul) ( And actually, you have several hours. Want to meet us by the docks? )

GM says (to Gerry), "you stare into the pool and beyond it into the safe and at the mechanism inside"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says (to tyoka), "this is no time to worry about what you look like!"

Chaz says (to Davey), "Whatever's fastest."

Davey says, "I know a short cut."

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "I smell of beer all over!"

Raul says (to Chaz), "<Sure. But I don't want to miss our friend, so I may run early from the party. What's going on at the docks?>"

Davey makes a short cut to Seattle and vrooom

GM says (to Gerry), "you pass the combination on to Aisleen, and the safe pops open"

Tyoka . o O (to davey) ( HEY! )

GM says, "(let me finish with the safe, and then handle seattle)"

Davey . o O ( whoa, sorry )

GM says (to Aisleen), "and inside is more paperwork"

Chaz . o O (to Raul) ( Jack's there; told us to meet him. Rike's gone missing,and is implicating jack...but Rike is actually behind it all. He made the false map that killed Cecily's anchor. )

Davey slows down to let Tyoka pick up the trail

Aisleen grabs the papers and looks through them

Tyoka zooms after.

GM says (to Aisleen), "but this time the illegal stuff -- smuggled cargo, dock-workers bribed, people killed"

[nobilis] maga reads saturday interludes

Raul says (to Chaz), "<Damn. Okay, I've got a bead on your path. I'll meet you there.>"

Aisleen puts all the papers in her bag.

Aisleen looks inside. What else is in here?

Tyoka . o O (to davey) ( Gotcha! )

Gerry . o O (to Ais) ( Grab some nonillegal papers and put them into the safe. For appearances. )

Aisleen glances back at the papers...any instructions from anyone?

Raul changes direction and heads for the docks, not bothering to disguise himself for it.

GM says (to Aisleen), "and indeed, "Mel Fisher met as planned and terminated""

Chaz . o O (to Cecily) ( Hey, the guy who ordered your anchor killed is heading to Seattle under the name 'Delvegna'. Also, you might want to check in with Jack. )

Aisleen . o O (to ) ( smoking gun found )

GM says, "Cecily . o O ( You've talked to Jack? I haven't seen him for weeks! )"

Chaz . o O (to Cecily) ( Seconds ago, this way. )

Aisleen asks (of safe), "is there any other stuff he keeps in here?"

Chaz . o O (to Cecily) ( He... might be getting beat up. )

GM says, ""I don't think so -- he says this is just a regional office, and his main stash is in France""

Aisleen says, "okay"

GM says, "Cecily . o O ( Thank you, for both -- I'll be in touch. )"

Aisleen puts legal papers in the safe and closes it

Aisleen pushes the safe back in place

GM says, "*click* *thunk*"

Aisleen looks around to see if she droppe anything

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "why are we going to seattle again? I appear to be incapable of following the session today"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "this may be due to fluey nastiness"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "All Roads lead to Seattle."

Aisleen flies out of the room and back to chancel to drop the papers off in the chancel hideout to read later

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "also i am done for today"

[nobilis] GM says (to Aisleen), "can you wait five minutes? almost done here"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "Jack told us to come, and seems to be in trouble. Rike is claiming Jack trapped him somewhere, but we know that Rike is actually behind it all. Well, best guess."

[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "we're gonna find Ghin-Aj in the reuins of the Kingdome"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "sure"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz exclaims, "Ha!"

GM says, "and everyone converges on the docks in Seattle"

Chaz with his super-nose, detects which nobilis are hanging around.

GM says, "hee hee"

[Crows-Nest] Raul says, "yay"

GM says, "you can, faintly, sense Jack, and something else vaguely familiar"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "My nose is a good as Marsiglio's claw, baby."

GM says, "following Chaz's nose, you guys head towards a warehouse"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says (to chaz), "you will need to be the nobilis of Noses in your next life"

GM says, "from which you can hear the faint sound of fighting"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "Rike. I recognized your foul stench the moment I set foot on this station."

[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "@emti GM says, "Which turns out to be a Froot Loops warehouse.""

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka asks, "but what about occal's razor?"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "occam"

[Crows-Nest] Gerry says, "dammit."

GM says, "or else the dock-workers are being unusually enthusiastic in unloading grain"

GM says, "Jack . o O ( Chaz, are you there? )"

[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "it's that GMO corn. Puts up a struggle"

Aisleen can't help but be thrilled at being near the water again

Chaz . o O ( jack YEEEEE-HA!! )

Chaz also says that as he bursts through the door.

[Crows-Nest] Raul says, "Maybe mamster found the corn shipment"

Raul follows hot on Chaz's heels.

Aisleen remains in wind form as she blows in

GM says, "Jack is standing there, against one wall, a bundle of something at his feet"

Gerry has a sudden urge to move boxes in a coordinated manner to particular spots within the warehouse.

[Crows-Nest] Chaz exclaims, "Ha!"

[Crows-Nest] Raul asks, "c'mon, what the hell kind of Excrucian thwarts the heroes' progress with pallets?"

GM says, "His black cloak swirls around him and he stares out at the semi-circle of men which surround him -- men dressed in white uniforms with a pair of black stripes at the shoulder"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, ">reorder soup cans"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "dammit"

[nobilis] Chaz asks, "This would be the now-familiar white uniform, no?"

Aisleen blows over to see what the bundle of something is

Tyoka mumbles, "Storm troopers?"

GM says, "that bundle down at his feet -- it's a person. Bruised, battered and, but definitely, unmistakably, Drake."

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "i am surprised you didn't type 'storme' troopers"

GM says, "[end]"

Davey says, "woo big fight"

[nobilis] Chaz exclaims, "Woo-hoo!"

GM says, "(but hastily inserting ^bloody on the previous line)"

[nobilis] Raul says, "woo"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka asks, "<sigh> who are these people?"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "poor tyoka"

[nobilis] Gerry says, "Woo making it to the end!"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "The white-uniformed people are the same folks as were in Astara. And who attacked us ages ago."

[nobilis] GM says (to Gerry), "hey, yeah, you're up way late"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "you have to stop this whole stopping just as we are about to embark on an ending business"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "Drake is the Noble of Competition, and oversaw the Cecily/Stella duel."

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "that's what I get for killing hundreds of people in nasty ways"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "After which he disappeared."

[nobilis] Aisleen says (to GM), "also, just one quick question"

[Crows-Nest] Aisleen says, "we thought he was the bad guy/traitor for a while"

[nobilis] Gerry says, "Well, I stayed up late yesterday because of my car troubles, then ended up sleeping late and getting to work late. But it was better for Nobilis!"

[nobilis] GM says, "yay"

[nobilis] Raul says, "woot"

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "ok"

[nobilis] GM asks (of Aisleen), "hmm?"

[nobilis] Aisleen asks (of gm), "next saturday, does it pick up with this seattle scene?"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz exclaims, "Woo-hoo!"

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "(channel)"

[nobilis] GM says (to Aisleen), "yeah, if you guys show up on saturday we'll be working out the timeline from there"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "or are they going to play to bring them up to this moment"

Davey asks, "saturday after next, right?"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "okay. as that's the saturday for eid, i am not sure how much i can play but i will try"

GM says, "right, not next weekend but the weekend after"

[nobilis] Gerry asks, "When is the nobilis session?"

[nobilis] Tyoka says, "I can't yet say whether I will be here on Sat"

GM says, "it'll be 6-9pm easter"

[nobilis] Tyoka says, "also the Sat session starts at midnight"

[nobilis] Gerry says, "er, the Saturday Nobilis session."

[nobilis] GM says, "if you can't make it saturday, you can show up sunday to see the sunday plotline resolved"

[nobilis] Aisleen says, "fooding"

Aisleen goes home.

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says (to Tyoka), "So while we were at Olympus, which is the home of Rike and Drake, Oluympus was attacked by more white-uniformed people, who were thwarted at the last minute by Rike. It turned out they had come from a tunnel originally created by Drake a while back."

[Crows-Nest] Chaz says, "I should write up our session as Nobilis-a-minute."

[Crows-Nest] Tyoka says, "yeah"

Davey says, "time also for eat a food"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "that would rule"

Davey exclaims, "fun session. thanks!"

Davey goes home.

GM exclaims, "ok, I'll shut off the log. thanks everyone!"

GM has disconnected.

Raul has disconnected.
