Gregory says, "I'm Gregory Hayden. Used to be a soldier, till I got my leg shot off. Now I try to stay out of fights - cheap robotics keep locking up on me."

Morfu says, "Hello, I am Morfu cle Eshta, chief medical officer aboard the Star Minnow. I usually occupy a minor station, reading or writing medical monographs. He has long campaigned for a real medical bay on board, but makes do with what he has. For a Dovi, he has a strong grasp of human medical science."

Gregory says, "Now I just do odd-jobs - bit of tech work here and there, manual labour. And I'm a pretty good gunner, but I try to stay away from heavy combat duty."

Morfu hasn't grasped the use of PoV in English, though, apparently.

I'm not really anyone special, just a boy from Kansas who's sure grateful for Hargraves giving me this job, and I'll try to be the best janitor and stock boy this ship has head, sirs."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "hmm, Thessleton hasn't said anything for ages."

SpacePirate asks, "Davey... Jones?"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Great, we're hiring ex-Monkees now."

Kinkajou exclaims, "hi davey!"

Gregory bolts out of his cabin in his underware. "Arr! Pirates! Where's my combat armour?"

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says (to Kinkajou), "You know, you remind me of my Ewok bounty hunter."

Morfu makes a note of the interesting scar patterns on the Gregory's body.

Gregory says, "Grmph. Ug, must've been a dream. Sorry... I'll get cleaned up."

Gregory wanders back into the crew cabins.

GM says, "(Since Whizzard's a bit idle, I'll tell you that he's a human, a bit wealthy and *some* might say slightly arrogant. Others would just say he knows his station in life, even if he is a bit eccentric.)"

[roguespace] GM says, "Either Owner, or owner and captain. Not sure which."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Space Opera: Summertime in the Void."

GM says, "Currently, you're following an anonymous tip you received about a supply ship that vanished in deep space."

Morfu checks ship's scanners for anomalies.

Gregory asks, "So what are our stations, then? Davey = Cabin boy, Kinkajou = Copilot/navigator, Thessleton = Captain/Owner, Morfu = Doctor, missing guy = Pilot, Gregory = Gunner?"

GM says, "It belonged to a Kalvesh clan, the Edan."

Gregory says, "That leaves us missing an engineer..."

[roguespace] GM says (to Greg), "With luck, you'll pick one up next session."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "slash cargo officer."

Kinkajou keeps an eye on the ship's progress and tries to calculate how much the bonus for finding the ship'll be worth

Morfu says, "They should keep a sensor out for emergency beacons."

GM says, "If the crew is still alive, you might be able to offer assistance or at least passage back to their planet. If not, you can claim the ship's cargo as salvage."

Morfu, by they, apparently means 'we'.

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Honest, the crew was dead when we got here."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "hee hee"

Gregory wanders back in and slumps into a spare duty station. Somebody else's, as it happens.

Morfu asks (of Gregory), "Does he require an analgesic of some nature?"

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Yourself."

Kinkajou re-normalizes the probabilistic arc to try and determine a primary source location

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Yay technobabble."

(From Gregory) A bright yellow monkey-lizard darts out of Gregory's quarters and perches on his shoulder, nibbling at his hair. He ignores it.

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Better keep it away from the robot."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "It's well-trained."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "...I hope."

Kinkajou adjusts the ship's course to follow the debris's flight path

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Regardless, I hear they battle eternally."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou asks, "hey, do we have a tractor beam?"

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "No response from hailing?"

GM says, "Within a few minutes, you come in sensor range of a larger object. It's some distance away, but looks like a ship."

Gregory stumbles over to Tactical and starts his own probe.

[roguespace] GM says, "No response."

Gregory turns his sensors on the larger ship.

Morfu says, "They should prep a shuttle for launch."

Gregory says (to Morfu), "We."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "That is what he said."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "No tractor. But if you dock to a ship, you could drag it along slowly that way, if you wanted."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "I take it back, that's damned annoying. :-)"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Heh."

Morfu scans for lifesigns.

GM says, "It's roughly spherical, and appears to be damaged."

Kinkajou says, "odd"

Gregory says, "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Kinkajou moves in closer and slowly circles the thing.

GM says, "As you get closer, you detect no life, although most of it's still pressurized."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks, "As in Davey Jones' locker?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "I just misread it as the other Davey Jones joke."

Morfu says, "Life signs are negative."

Kinkajou exclaims, "let's dock, then!"

Morfu says, "No response to hailing."

Kinkajou moves in closer.

GM says, "Ten to fifteen meters in radius, black."

[roguespace] GM says, "You don't detect any signals."

Morfu says, "His recommendation is to standoff and approach by shuttle."

Morfu says, "Away team should contain medical, engineering personnel."

GM says, "From this distance, you can see two hull breaches, one on the top and one on the front."

Gregory asks, "The kid? Why the kid?"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu examines Davey for signs of wearing a red shirt.

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks, "Hey, who's playing Davey? Or was he just a joke?"

Kinkajou exclaims, "it'll be good experience for him!"

Morfu asks, "Tactical, are those indicative of weapon damage?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Davey is an NPC."

Gregory says (to Kinkajou), "We're not letting you on there alone, Shorty. One ship's already blown up."

GM says (to Morfu), "Officially, you're probably not even supposed to know about this ship, so you don't have its cargo manifest."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "He will be accompanied by him."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "He has the bridge."

Morfu puts on his vaccsuit.

Gregory asks (of Morfu), "He will - WHAT??"

Gregory asks, "Dammit, make sense. The short one can, why can't you?"

Morfu says, "Scanners should remain on long-range."

Morfu proceeds down to the shuttle bay.

Gregory exclaims, "Yeah, yeah, I got it covered - hey, wait a minute!"

Gregory says, "Take my rifle. You might need it."

Morfu says, "I do not know how to use such things."

Gregory says, "You keep the safety on, and you wave it at people to get their attention."

[roguespace] GM says, "The ship has three pressure suits in storage -- two human-sized, one Dovi. Not counting what any of you brought of your own."

Morfu accepts the blaster rifle from Gregory.

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Is my armour pressurized?"

Kinkajou distributes three space suits which Davey brought him

Kinkajou adjusts his suit down as small as possible and it's still too big.

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "I'm gonna say it is for use in space & ground, but it's damaged ATM, and as soon as I get 95s to repair it (cost of an environment suit) I can fix the pressure seals. Ok?"

Kinkajou goes and comes back with two lamps and two portable scanners.

[roguespace] GM says, "Sure, that works."

Kinkajou hands those out also and then gets into the shuttle.

Morfu jumps into the shuttle. He throws the blaster rifle in the backseat somewhere.

[roguespace] GM asks, "Are all four of you going on the shuttle, and leaving Thessleton, Davey, and Jameson on the ship?"

Gregory asks, "<crackle> Comm test - bridge to shuttle. You read me, kids?"

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou asks, "wait, so we're not all going down?"

Morfu says to Kinkajou, in Dovi, "Hey man, we better be careful out here."

[roguespace] GM says, "Ah, Greg on the ship. Got it."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Roger, you are strong and clear. Shuttle over."

Kinkajou says (to Morfu), "if worst comes to worst we can blow them up"

Morfu battens down the shuttle hatches.

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Minnow, this is Shuttle. Ready for launch. Over."

Kinkajou says, "open the pod bay doors, Gregory"

[roguespace] GM says, "For reference: your suits have built-in short-range fixed-frequency radios in them. Good enough to hear each other in a vacuum."

Gregory says, "Ah, shit, I knew I should've come along to keep an eye on him. Don't do anything stupid, you hear me? Over."

Gregory says, "You are clear for launch. Over."

Kinkajou flies the shuttle out and down to the ship.

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Roger. Over."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Whooooosh..."

[Crows-Nest] (from SpacePirate) Gregory says, "I'm afraid I can't do that, Kinkajou."

GM says, "From here, the ship looks bigger... and more menacing."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Shit, maybe we should have brought the robot. Oh well."

Gregory says, "C'mere, Gleek - let's play Stars."

GM says, "There are two large doors, on on the port side and one on the starboard side of the ship, although you wouldn't be able to open them without power."

GM says, "The two large rents in the hull are each big enough to admit the shuttle, though."

Kinkajou looks away from the console for a moment to check his rifle.

Kinkajou steers for the nearest hole, then

Gregory watches they're progress on the board as Gleek eats one of the gamepieces.

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Approaching vessel, over."

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Can I get visuals from the shuttle?"

Gregory says (to shuttle), "Yeah, I see you. Keep flying."

GM says, "You lower the shuttle through the hole at the top of the ship, into a circular room. There's no gravity, since the ship's power is down, and no air in here."

[roguespace] GM says, "Sure."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "Signs of internal explosion?"

Kinkajou re-adjusts his suit and makes sure it's sealed, then looks to see that Morfu's done the same.

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "I thought that was the other ship that exploded from within - or was it both?"

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Can you patch the shuttle's power into this ship?"

GM says, "There's clear damage, yes. Two consoles are here, both torn apart, and a large viewscreen is also damaged."

[roguespace] GM says, "There's only one alien ship."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "I mean the debris from the ship we were looking for."

Kinkajou says, "not for the whole ship, I don't think"

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Looks like an auxilary bridge. I'm ready to go looking."

Kinkajou says, "we can see what state it's in and then repair it, possibly"

[roguespace] GM says, "This is where the debris's trajectory suggested it came from."

Kinkajou climbs out of the shuttle, then.

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Roger that."

Morfu exits the shuttle, floats around.

Gregory asks, "Shuttle, I'm having a hard time getting scale on this vid - how big are those consoles?"

Kinkajou exclaims, "bigger than me!"

GM says, "There are two storage cabinets in the back of the room -- well, there used to be two, but one has been almost completely destroyed."

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Look Kalvesh standard, over."

Kinkajou examines the destroyed one to see what destroyed it.

GM says, "There's also a hatch on the floor next to them."

GM says, "The hatch is closed, and there's a small panel beside it with three buttons and two lights, both dark."

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Want to blow the hatch, or are you inclined to fiddle with it?"

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Standby. Trying."

Gregory says, "No idea. Over."

Morfu pushes the 2nd button. His other arm is wrapped around the shuttle cable.

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "The cable explodes."

GM says, "'BZZ BZZ BZZ!' The third light blinks three times, and goes dark."

Morfu swears in Dovi for a while.

Morfu remembers which button he pushed.

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Perhaps we should try the other hole."

Morfu asks, "Or do you want to give it a manual attempt one more time?"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "poke, poke."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Gee thanks for covering me, attentive little buddy."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Don't worry, I'm covering you."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "With the ship's blasters. Great."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Mind you, my guns are bigger and not as accurate."

Kinkajou says, "hmm"

Kinkajou asks, "do we have anything sturdier than that cable?"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu exclaims, "Airstrike on my position!"

Kinkajou says, "we could try and use the ship's engine to pull it open"

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Thinking of pulling at it with the shuttle>?"

Morfu grabs the handle again. "C'mon, third time must be the charm."

Kinkajou says, "(wistfully) unless you have some explosives"

Kinkajou says, "ok, fine"

Kinkajou pulls again

GM says, "This time, the hatch gives you little trouble when you pull on it."

Kinkajou falls back on his butt.

GM says, "You're buffeted by air escaping from the chamber below."

Kinkajou struggles forward and closes the hatch.

Morfu says, "No, let it equalize."

Morfu grabs Kinkajou's foot.

GM says, "Luckily, you manage to avoid being blown out the hole in the hull, in this low gravity."

Kinkajou exclaims, "this area's open! it'll all drain out!"

Morfu says, "Everyone else is dead already. There's probably other sealed compartments aboard."

GM says, "In a matter of moments, the air is gone. The second light on the panel winks out."

Kinkajou sighs.

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Compartment depressurized. Proceeding in."

GM says, "Beneath the hatch is a ladder, leading down."

Morfu looks down the hatch.

Morfu asks, "Anything else?"

GM says, "It opens into another circular room, smaller than this one."

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "You want point?"

Gregory says, "<crackle> It's air, Shorty. Not triterium. We're not gonna get much for salvaging it."

Kinkajou says, "right-o"

Kinkajou drops down.

GM says, "There are four doors in this room, leading fore, aft, port, and starboard. There's also another hatch in this floor."

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Interrogative -- all clear on scanners, over."

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Report?"

GM says, "Each door and hatch has a panel beside it just like the one you've been playing with."

Kinkajou says, "four doors, all with panels"

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Roger that. I'm coming in -- I'll close this hatch behind me."

Kinkajou says, "what we need is a metal cutter"

Gregory says, "Scanners are clear. Over."

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "I think I've figured out the code. Maybe. Ah crap, we need power, though. Any of those panels lit?"

GM says, "None are lit."

GM says, "(You closed the hatch you came through, right?)"

Kinkajou asks (of Gregory), "do we have a cutting torch on the ship?"

Morfu says, "I haven't quite managed it down the hatch yet."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Ah, crap."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou asks, "?"

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Assess viability of converting blaster rifle to plasma torch, over."

Gregory says, "Jesus, Doc, just come back and get the cutting torch. Don't get all fancy."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "What kinda crappy salvage ship doesn't have a torch... oh wait, never mind."

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Looks like we're going back. You coming with, or you want to hang out here?"

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "I figured the door might have locked behind them."

Kinkajou says, "I'd better come, unless you want to fly"

Morfu says, "Ehh, good call."

Kinkajou and Morfu fly back to the ship and find the torch.

Morfu gets back in the shuttle. Stows the power cable, too.

GM says, "(Luckily, the hatch doesn't give you any trouble getting back out)"

Kinkajou asks (of Gregory), "sure you don't want to come down with us?"

Davey asks, "Here you go. Anything else you need?"

Morfu says, "He would rather not leave the ship's helm under Davey."

Kinkajou says, "I'm sure we'll remember something we need"

Morfu asks (of Davey), "Anything in the ship's computer on Kalveshi?"

Gregory says, "I don't like having just the two of you down there, though - too much could go wrong."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "There should be a standard broadcast that we've claimed this ship as salvage."

Davey says, "Um. There might be a dictionary somewhere. I can go look for it while you guys are doing your stuff, if you want."

Gregory says, "Lemme wake the pilot, me and Davey'll both come with you."

Kinkajou exclaims (at Morfu), "that'll attract all the pirates within ten parsecs of here!"

Morfu says, "The pilot will suffice."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "(in Dovi) Damn, good point."

Gregory says, "w Davey=Is that enough for me to know what the broadcast is? (cultural)"

Gregory says, "Forget the computer, I know the broadcast. Been doing this a long time."

Gregory sets the computer to tight-beam a 'we claim you for salvage' broadcast at the ship, but doesn't send it yet.

Morfu says, "They should return to the salvage."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "I tried 'w GM=', which didn't work, then 'w Davey=', which didn't work cause he'd just renamed himself back, so I stuck a " in front of it."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Ah. Roger that."

Kinkajou says, "right-o"

Kinkajou and Morfu and Gregory go back to the ship and down the hatch

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "(I can really feel my navy training coming back. Heh. Guess the Doc spent some time on the front lines.)"

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "Is Davey coming with?"

Gregory asks (of Morfu), "Neat trick how you remember how to speak under pressure and forget when it's quiet. Adrenaline does weird stuff to you folks, huh?"

[roguespace] GM asks, "Are you taking Davey, or leaving him with Jameson and Thessleton?"

[roguespace] Morfu says, "That's when I'm speaking in Dovi; sorry if that wasn't obvious."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Cmon, let's take the redshirt."

Kinkajou uses the torch to cut through the port hatch

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Oh, I see. Uh, I assumed I could hear you over an open comm the whole time you were on the other ship."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Slow down, cowboy."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Well, you could hear me. Whether you can understand Dovi is, well, not up to me."

[roguespace] GM says, "(I'd say you can use the shuttle as a relay, provided you don't far away from it)"

[roguespace] Gregory says (to GM), "Yes, we're taking Davey. That way we can split up into two teams of two."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "No, we're not splitting up, damn you."

GM says, "OK, so the four of you fill the four seats in the shuttle, zip over there, climb down, and close the hatch above you..."

(From Gregory) Gleek is on the bridge all alone now. Gleek is lonely. "Gleek?"

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "A small pressure-equalization hole should be cut first."

Morfu returns the blaster rifle to Gregory.

Gregory checks that the doc hasn't mucked up his weapon.

GM says, "As you cut into the port hatch, air gradually hisses through, filling the room you're in."

Morfu runs a check on the atmosphere on his medical scanner.

Gregory asks (of Morfu), "We good, Doc?"

Morfu says, "Standby."

Morfu says, "Kalveshi standard, acceptable. Tactical recommendation is to remain suited."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Open it."

Morfu says, "Tactical team cover the door."

Gregory cracks his helmet, but doesn't remove it. "You sound more like a damn robot all the time, Doc."

Kinkajou opens the door.

Gregory unships his rifle, toggles the safety.

GM says, "The room on the other side is much bigger than this one."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Merely an attempt to reconcile earlier miscommunication, Tactical Officer."

GM says, "There are large metal storage cases piled up in there. No people visible."

Morfu says, "Appears to be a cargo hold."

Gregory asks, "So what's the cargo?"

Kinkajou tries to open a case.

Morfu says, "Suggestion is to scan it."

Gregory goes to the nearest crate, tries to open it.

Morfu remains outside the big room.

Gregory says, "Huh. Yeah, I guess so. Go ahead."

GM says, "There's also a large door on the far wall, suitable for docking with another ship or station for the loading or unloading of cargo."

Morfu says, "This scanner is suitable for medical purposes only."

Gregory says, "All right, I'll do it the old-fashioned way."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Uh oh."

Gregory levers the cover off with the butt of his gun (after putting the safety back on).

Gregory says, "Damn big battery in here. That might solve some of the power problems."

Morfu says, "It may be wise to leave the ship powered-down."

GM says, "The battery fills most of the case. Several others are labelled the same as this one, and probably contain the same thing."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "Did we see any armament on this vessel from the outside or from the scans?"

[roguespace] GM says, "You didn't specifically notice any."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "I scanned for armaments. Don't think I got an answer."

Kinkajou says, "hmm, not worth much"

GM says, "And there are several other cases, as well)"

Kinkajou tries another case.

Morfu says, "Further exploration of this vessel is required. The bridge, for example."

Gregory says, "You were hoping for spice? It'll pay for two loads of shuttle fuel and our oxygen. After that, it's all profit."

GM says, "It contains ration packs -- about three weeks worth."

Gregory says, "These look like ships stores, not trade goods. Lets find another hold."

Kinkajou says, "right"

Kinkajou cuts his way into the starboard hold

Morfu asks (of Gregory), "The destroyed portions of this vessel may have been the weapon mounts. The first chamber -- would it be suitable for a gunnery station?"

GM says, "The starboard door does, in fact, lead to another hold."

[roguespace] Gregory asks (of GM), "Would it?"

GM says, "It is similarly filled with storage cases, and also equipped with a cargo door."

Gregory looks at the markings on the cases.

[roguespace] GM says, "It looked more like a bridge, really."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "How much of the cargo we've seen so far would we be able to cram aboard our ship?"

Gregory says (to Morfu), "Looked like a bridge, actually. There'd have been gunnery stations there, sure."

[roguespace] GM says (to Morfu), "All of one hold's worth, probably."

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Any chance of towing the whole ship?"

Kinkajou opens the cases

Morfu says (to Gregory), "The ship's computer and log may require accessing."

GM says (to Greg), "They have different labels from the ones in the other room."

GM says (to Kinkajou), "It contains armor -- heavy armor, Kalvesh-sized."

Gregory says, "Ga-lax-y."

GM says, "There appear to be two full suits packed away."

Morfu says, "Armour, rations, power. This was a military supply ship."

Gregory asks, "What is this - a warship?"

Morfu says, "Military support to troops on the ground."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks (of Morfu), "Who's the soldier here?"

Morfu says, "Internal explosions may indicate sabotage or suicide bomber."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Heh. Sorry."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "I think I'm going to have to write some military background into the Doc here."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Which helps explain the Authoritah, too."

Gregory says, "Let's see if we can get at the ship's logs."

Kinkajou says, "still two more hatches"

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks (of Morfu), "To go with the military background of the player?"

Kinkajou opens the aft hatch.

Morfu says, "If the ship was sabotaged, powering it up might be dangerous."

Gregory asks (of Morfu), "You know anything about these here computers?"

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Two more doors and one hatch, actually."

Morfu says, "No. He is trained in medical knowledge, not machines."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks, "What's your Authoritah?"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "3"

Gregory says, "All right, I'll give it a go."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Yow. You outrank me."

GM says, "The aft hatch cuts away without trouble. The room on the other side is a bit smaller than the cargo bays."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "So sorry if I seem a bit bossy sometimes..."

Gregory goes back into the front room. With Davey.

GM says, "It contains two bunks, each with two beds."

GM says, "There are also two low storage chests."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "No, belay that. I forgot there's no air."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Yes there is."

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "In the bridge area?"

Kinkajou opens a chest

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Oh. Uh, no."

[roguespace] GM says, "There is, in some rooms. But you haven't been scanning ahead to check before opening them, AFAIK."

Gregory sticks his head back in. "You guys pressurized? I'm about to pop the hatch."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Woah, shit. I have my helmet off."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Yep."

Morfu says, "Recommend holding on to something."

GM says (to Kinkajou), "There are uniforms in there. Someone's change of clothes."

Kinkajou says, "bah"

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "Militaristic uniforms or spacecrew type uniforms?"

Gregory takes the silence for yes, makes a visual inspection to check, and heads back out.

GM says, "Also, under the folded uniforms are a standard communicator."

Kinkajou looks under the clothes for anything -- ah

Gregory seals his helmet and all the inner hatches, before he and Davey duck out to the bridge area and seal the hatch behind them.

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Tactical, Medical, over. Crew uniforms appear to be military, as per earlier inference."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Well, then, you just lost a bit of air."

GM says (to Gregory), "As you open the hatch, air begins to rush past, bit you manage to close it again before it gets too thin."

Gregory says (to Morfu), "Gotcha, Doc. Trying the computer now."

Kinkajou checks the other chest.

Gregory spins slowly through the air in the large room, coming to rest in front of a computer port.

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Blue Danube playing now. :-)"

GM says, "More uniforms. Another communicator... and a computer pad."

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Hacking to get into here, right?"

Kinkajou says, "oho"

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Double-occupancy implies lower-ranking officers. Captain probably had his own cabin."

Kinkajou takes the last two out.

Kinkajou flips it on.

Gregory lets his rifle spin quietly above the console as he taps the panel slowly.

[roguespace] GM says, "Right. Plus, if that's just a socket, you'll need something to plug into it."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "No, I meant a control panel."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Belay that. Bridge only indicated two console positions. This is probably the entire crew quarters. Flight crew. Not including marines."

GM says (to Kinkajou), "It's batteries are good. The display fills with Kalvesh text."

Gregory rolls 1 6-sided die: 6 | 6

[roguespace] Gregory exclaims, "Oh, yeah!"

[roguespace] GM says, "Aha. Those are both badly damaged. You'll need Engineering to repair them first if you want to use them."

Kinkajou shrugs.

Kinkajou asks, "can anyone read kalvesh?"

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Can I keep the hacking roll?"

[roguespace] GM says, "Sure."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "But I'm sure there's a set in the shuttle."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Right."

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Ready to proceed?"

Kinkajou says, "right"

Gregory exclaims, "Davey! Bring bring the toolkit from the shuttle! I need some Zeus plugs and a hydrospanner!"

Kinkajou asks, "fore hatch?"

Morfu nods his helmet.

[roguespace] GM says, "Heh. OK, there's a set on the shuttle. You pop open the remains of one console and start working. It looks like it'll take a while to get it working, though."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Good, I need to go AFK for a bit."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Tactical, recommend thinking of something if a Kalveshi military ship shows up in response."

Gregory works away, "Alternately humming and swearing."

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Er, why'd I say that instead of posing it?"

[roguespace] Davey says, "Perhaps it's a line from an old marching tune."

Kinkajou cuts into the fore hatch

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Recommended, claim that Medical Officer was searching wreckage for survivors who didn't show up on scanners."

Davey says, "There's a hissing, as air starts to escape around you through the cut."

GM says, "But aside from air loss, nothing else inhibits you from cutting the hatch open."

GM says, "From here, you can see that this is the chamber that sustained the other hull breach -- in fact, this room is far more damaged than the first one was."

Kinkajou says, "ah hrm"

Kinkajou climbs through and tries to figure out what kind of room it is

Morfu says, "All these hatches were shut prior to the explosion, which may be standard operating procedure for a military vessel, but maybe not. They may have been expecting to take on a hull breach."

GM says, "Large shards of twisted metal are embedded in the walls, floor, and ceiling."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Careful. Vaccsuits don't like punctures."

Morfu says, "Also, both crew were on the bridge. A ship with only two crew would probably maintain a one-in-two shift rotation in non-emergencies."

Kinkajou says, "odd"

Morfu asks (of Kinkajou), "Hmm?"

Kinkajou actually goes and prods at some of the debris

Morfu does a medical scan for radioactivity.

GM says, "(Actually, you don't know there are only two crew: the quarters had two bunks with two beds each)"

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "But only two foot-lockers, right?"

[roguespace] GM says, "Right."

Morfu says, "Belay last -- four crew."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Tactical, proceeding to lower deck."

Kinkajou cuts through the bottom hatch and goes down

GM says, "Air again escapes from the chamber beneath you, once you cut through the hatch."

GM says, "What you see beneath is... unpleasant, at best."

Morfu cranks up the medical scanner.

GM says, "Two bodies, once Kalvesh, both badly damaged and beginning to decay."

Kinkajou says, "well, here's two of the crew"

Kinkajou asks, "can you tell how they died?"

Morfu says (to Tactical), "Found remainder of crew. Deceased. Implication: mutiny."

Morfu says, "They've been dead a while. The dead don't decay in vaccuum. Ergo, they were dead beforehand."

Morfu looks at their insignia, and tries to guess if they were of higher rank than those other uniforms we found.

GM says, "As you look around at the rest of the room, you notice that it's been hit by an explosion as well -- the equipment that remains gives the impression of Engineering."

Kinkajou says, "no, this area was sealed until we cut the hatch"

[roguespace] GM says, "Yes. But I also said you heard air escaping when you opened the hatch."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Right."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "How long overdue was this ship?"

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Back. How's my repair job coming?"

[roguespace] GM says (to Morfu), "You don't know."

Morfu says, "May merely have been catastrophic failure, yes."

[roguespace] GM asks (of Gregory), "Can I have another Engineering roll?"

Gregory says (to Davey), "Bring me a ratchet gyro."

Morfu looks around. Any other hatches or exits?

GM says (to Kinka, Morfu), "You can identify what's probably supposed to be the main engine, the thruster access, the power core, and the computer core. But it'd take an engineer to assess the damage."

Kinkajou asks (of Gregory), "how's the repair coming?"

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Found engineering. Or what is left of it."

Gregory says (to Kinkajou), "Hard to say. Not used to these systems. Mergen nut."

Kinkajou asks, "can you tell if they were killed by a big explosion, at least?"

GM says (to Morfu), "No other exits."

Gregory exclaims (at Davey), "Mergen - no, forget the mergen nut, I'll have the sonic screwdriver!"

Morfu scans the bodies.

GM says, "This room is about the same size as the one you entered through originally, so this is probably the bottom of the ship."

Gregory zaps something under the console and pulls himself back out. "Right, let's run some power."

Kinkajou exclaims, "right! power!"

Gregory and Davey run the cable from the shuttle out again.

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Extreme trauma consistent with a big explosion, yes."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Evacuating engineering, over."

Morfu gets the hell outta there.

Morfu arrives back up on the bridge deck, specifically.

Kinkajou heads up there too.

Morfu says, "When power is restored, emergency beacons will probably fire."

Davey asks, "Do you have power, sir?"

Morfu asks, "Is it preferable to salvage this vessel directly, or turn it over to the Kalveshi military for a reward?"

Kinkajou says, "I'm sure we'd get more on the black market"

Kinkajou says, "as long as the military doesn't find out"

Gregory attaches the cable to the computer. "I'm firing her up now."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "That's a big if."

GM says, "The console's display flashes, but then stabilizes."

Gregory says, "Just in time, gentlemen - we have a computer. Now let's see if we can get into it."

Kinkajou says, "good work"

Kinkajou says, "we can bring up those batteries if we need more power"

Gregory asks (of Kinkajou), "Hey, bounty hunter - you know of any wars going on around here?"

Gregory says, "Good point - Davey, keep an eye on the shuttle power readouts, we don't want to drain too much."

Gregory turns back to the computer while he waits for an answer. "Hey - they've just adapted the old Arcturus system we used in the Epsilon Eridani campaign. I should be able to get in here no problem."

Morfu nods his space helmet.

Gregory fiddles around some more. "Right. Here's the gravity control. Gravity coming online - now." Nothing happens. "Shit."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "The engineering section is badly damaged. As far as he can tell."

Gregory says, "Lemme try accessing the central computer - dammit, I can't get through. I think something's severed deeper in."

Morfu asks (of Gregory), "So what do they have access to?"

Kinkajou says, "maybe you can fix it if you go downstairs"

Gregory says (to Morfu), "Nothing. I think we're gonna need a wirehead for this."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Let Tactical take a look at the computer pad."

Gregory says, "Hmm, maybe. Don't bet on it, though."

Gregory says, "Davey! Power down the link - no sense wasting it."

Davey exclaims, "Got it!"

GM says, "The console goes dead again."

Gregory pushes himself away from the console and floats over to the hatch.

Gregory says, "All right, show me Engineering."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says (to Kink), "Poke, poke."

Morfu says, "Keep going down."

Morfu says, "Until you find the corpses."

Gregory pauses to orient himself, then heads out. "Corpses. Gotcha."

Gregory says, "Hey, come with me. I've got a theory I wanna run by you."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "er, right"

Kinkajou hands over the pad.

Morfu follows Gregory.

Kinkajou says, "if he can read it"

Gregory glances at it. "Nope." He hands it back.

Morfu says, "Encrypted, possibly."

Gregory shrugs. "I just don't speak Kalvesh. I was just navigating the terminal by the graphics."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Yay Windows 5000."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "heh"

Gregory arrives at Engineering, looks around. "Could be worse." He totally ignores the corpses.

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "no wonder the ship crashed"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Hee hee."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "I was thinking of trying to play Japanese imported videogames."

Morfu asks, "Worth anything?"

Morfu says, "He also found the other ruptured compartment. Possibly due to munitions explosions. Another view would be helpful."

Gregory says, "Looks like the interspace engines are totalled... the thrusters are in pretty bad shape too... but I think these bodies shielded the computer core from most of the blast."

Morfu says, "As long as the crew protected the important hardware from damage."

Gregory pulls a corpse out of the way and starts digging around. "Anyway, I was thinking. These Kalvesh aren't at war with anyone that I know about."

Morfu says, "Could be mercenary, or arms dealers."

Gregory says, "But I hear a lot on the docks about clan rivalries."

Gregory says, "The Edran clan and the Adan clan, for instance. They're always roughing it up. They've had a grudge for years."

Morfu says, "He has a suspicion of internicine warfare, then."

Morfu asks, "Why would a clan blow up this ship and not scavenge it?"

Gregory says, "Hey, this thing's nearly intact. So what's the problem? ... Aha, no power, of course. The power core's down."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Oh, those wacky Edrans. Heh heh heh."

Gregory says, "Dunno. I do know this - ah, there's the backup power. Hmm, looks like it cut in fine, but it ran out of juice a long time ago."

Kinkajou says, "if it's a clan rivalry they might not scavenge it"

Morfu says, "Run the cable down."

Kinkajou says, "time to use the batteries, I think"

Gregory asks, "Anyway, I do know this - it could come to war pretty easily. Especially if one side thinks the other was about to make the first move. See what I'm saying?"

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "If removed, would the core fit through the hatch, or do we need to make another door?"

Morfu says, "Yes."

[roguespace] GM says, "The power core would need to be disassembled to fit through the hatch."

Gregory says, "But I'll let you straegy geniuses figure that one out - me, I'm just a gunner. Lemme see if I can get the main power back online."

[roguespace] GM says, "Moreso than it is already, I mean."

Kinkajou says, "sounds like fun to me"

Morfu says, "Perhaps shunt shuttle power through the backup system."

Morfu says, "If the backup system is intact."

Gregory glares at the little guy. "War's no fun, Shorty, I don't care how much you like blowing that's up."

Gregory says (to Morfu), "We don't have enough. We could maybe run the computer off it, but it'd be a big drain - we couldn't run anything else at the same time."

Kinkajou says, "bah"

Gregory says, "Like the communicator relay."

Gregory rolls 1 6-sided die: 2 | 2 + 1 = 3

Morfu asks, "Is there any point to powering this up here, or should we disassemble it and take it?"

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou asks, "how big is this ship compared to our own ship?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Maybe a little bigger."

Gregory says, "The computer core? If we can find somebody who speaks Kalvesh, we could maybe find out what happened here. But we gotta be sure not to let word get out."

Morfu says, "We are engaged in legal salvage."

Kinkajou asks (of Davey), "you don't speak Kalvesh, do you?"

Gregory asks (of Morfu), "I mean word that this ship existed. Clan war, remember?"

Morfu says, "Oh, yes."

Gregory says, "Or if we decide we *want* a war <glare at Shorty> we should at least make sure we keep a handle on who finds out what, and when."

Morfu says, clumsily, "Nodge nodge, wonk wonk."

Davey says (to Kinka), "I think 'gurrshath' means 'galoshes'."

Davey says, "But other than that, I'm pretty much lost."

Morfu says, "Perhaps their silence would be worth something to the Adan."

Gregory stretches. "This is fixable, but it'll take a lot of time. And my leg's stiffening up - I need to lube her up a bit before I get back to work. What do we want to do?"

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks, "Oh, we know these are the Adan?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Right."

Kinkajou says, "hmm"

Morfu says, "Medical Officer's recommendation is to cut off everything worth hauling away."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks, "Where's the captain, BTW?"

Kinkajou asks, "is there anything worth hauling away?"

Morfu says, "Computer core, cargo, indications of military mission such as uniforms, etc."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Of the Minnow? On the Minnow."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "Also, without his player."

Gregory says, "The computer core for sure - if nothing else, it'll give me something to fiddle with in my spare time. And those batteries and powered armour are worth something on the black market, at least."

Kinkajou says, "ok, so maybe we can tow this ship to someplace where we can find it later"

Morfu says, "Just sell it for scrap."

Kinkajou says, "and then cut out the computer stuff and take somewhere we can get it translated"

[roguespace] Gregory asks, "Can we tow it?"

[roguespace] GM says, "If you dock your cargo door to its, you could push it along slowly with thrusters."

[roguespace] GM says, "But you wouldn't be able to go to FTL that way."

Kinkajou says, "well, I figure selling it for scrap risks attracting attention"

Kinkajou says, "although we could probably burn the id off"

Gregory shakes his helmet. "We can't go FTL without putting new engines into it, anyway. It's not going anywhere."

Morfu says, "Broadcast that we've claimed it as salvage. List its cargo as destroyed."

Gregory asks, "Without the cargo, could another Kalvesh identify this as a warship?"

Morfu says, "It has no weaponry. Why would a Kalvesh smuggler run something identifiable as a warship? The owners would know, of course."

Kinkajou says, "I would think by the design of the ship, yeah"

Morfu says, "It's a sphere. A good design for a ship."

Morfu says, "Besides, the NoK should be informed."

[roguespace] Gregory asks (of GM), "What do I think? Is it a warship or a trading ship hauling wartime supplies?"

Kinkajou says, "right, ok"

[roguespace] GM says, "Doesn't really look like a warship. Could be a trader or a millitary supply ship."

Kinkajou says, "so I don't think we can take it anywhere without repairing its engines, and we can't do that now"

Kinkajou says, "so let's salvage what we can and retrieve it later if possible"

Morfu says, "Concur."

Gregory says, "Bah. Civilians. It's a standard ship design - nothing suspicious about it without the cargo."

[roguespace] Gregory scans the game background again. "NoK?"

Morfu says, "And bodies in military uniform."

Morfu says, "Sorry. Next of kin."

[roguespace] GM says, "I'm not sure myself."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Aha. Yet another military term that my char should know. :-)"

[roguespace] GM says, "Hee."

Kinkajou starts moving crates to the shuttle.

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Yep. I've filled out, cripes, dozens of NoK forms."

Gregory starts disassembling the computer.

Morfu supervises.

Gregory says, "Davey! <crackle> You still alive up there? Come move these bodies around."

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Minnow, this is Away Team. Ship disabled. Crew deceased. Out."

GM says (to Kinka), "Without gravity, you're able to lift them without help, although it's a tight fit getting them through the hatches."

Davey exclaims, "Aye aye!"

Kinkajou uses the cutting torch as necessary

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "We could open the cargo doors."

Davey says (to Kinkajou), "'Scuse me... just have to get around..."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Davey is horribly crushed behind a crate."

Morfu says, "Once the core is cracked, the nominal manifest should become known."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory asks, "How much longer tonight, BTW?"

Davey says (to Gregory), "Hooey -- these guys don't look like they're in very good shape."

Gregory says, "Get used to it, kid. This is that 'experience' the Dovi was talking about earlier."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "I need to quit soonish, so am I hoping after we get the ship cleared"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "That's good for me."

[Crows-Nest] Davey says, "Sometime between 9:30 and 10:00, then."

Gregory picks up a body, spins it towards Davey. "Take these and pack em in the vacuum. We'll take em with us later, but right now I don't want em thawing.

Gregory says, "I'm going topside to find a crate for these computers."

GM says, "There's enough room in the shuttle for three cases (or computer sections) if you fold up the two back seats."

GM says, "You could fit another one in the front, if you only need room for one person inside."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Might as well ferry the cargo back and forth when the shuttle gets full."

Kinkajou says, "right"

Kinkajou says, "somebody had better go back with me and help me unload"

Davey tries to drag the bodies into the crew quarters without getting himself *too* bloody.

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Wake the damn pilot up. And turn off the gravity."

Gregory says, "<crackle> Salvage team, I need four crates for this computer - don't want it banging around too much. Lets get some of the rations on the ship and unpack em."

Kinkajou says, "right-o"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "The blood will freeze in vacc."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "The robot should help, too. It is a butler, after all."

Kinkajou ferries crates back, gets somebody to turn off gravity for the cargo bay, unloads, drives back

Gregory says, "Wait, we can only take one hold's worth anyway. Let's just empty some of the less valuable ones here."

Morfu says, "And non-sensitive."

GM says, "You manage to start a decent little rhythm of carry, load, ferry, unload, ferry, carry."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "...Until something horribly happens."

[roguespace] GM says, "Are you picking and choosing between the different stuff in cargo, or just bringing whatever comes to hand."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "I think we're going with all the power armour, the computer core, the bodies, then whatever else."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "The batteries, if we have room. Leave the rations - they're neither valuable nor incriminating."

Kinkajou says, "how many more loads do you guys think? I'm getting bored here"

GM says, "Three round trips see all the heavy armor, the computer core, and the bodies across."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Filing a report either way on the cargo might be bad. Perhaps not specifying the cargo would be best."

Morfu says (to Gregory), "Assuming the rations are not military-issue."

Kinkajou stores the pad with the core.

Kinkajou also sticks the communicators there, unless they're standard-issue

Gregory says (to Morfu), "Tons of military issue rations getting shipped around - they're good quality."

Morfu says (to Kinkajou), "Take the uniforms, too. Aww heck, take the whole footlockers."

GM says (to Kinka), "Not mil-spec, but labelled in Kalvesh, of course."

Kinkajou says, "can't go wrong with footlockers"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "That is not consistent with MY experience with eating them, but... heh."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "heh"

Kinkajou asks, "right -- so we finished here?"

[roguespace] GM says, "Your cargo bay could take another four or five shuttles worth."

[roguespace] GM says, "Unless you're in a hurry or something."

Morfu says, "It can always be discarded later. Let's clean this out as best we can."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Well, they've gotta be better than some of the packaged dinners I've had."

Morfu takes DNA sequence samples of all the bodies, plus the assorted gibbets from the bridge.

Gregory asks, "You impatient, Shorty? Want a firefight?"

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Minnow, interrogative -- all clear on long-range scanners. Over."

Kinkajou says, "I was hoping for adventure when I signed up here -- you know, explosions"

Gregory says, "We're not the military anymore - we get paid to load cargo, not shoot people. So load the damn shuttle."

Pilot says (to Morfu), "Clear so far -- I'll let you know the moment I see anything. Over."

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Roger out."

Morfu says (to Minnow), "Also, dig out whatever is onboard reference Kalveshi language. Out."

GM asks, "Are you loading more stuff onto the shuttle?"

Morfu says (to GM), "I don't see why not."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "We're greedy space-pirates, damnit."

Kinkajou says, "I thought we had grabbed all the grabbables"

[Crows-Nest] Morfu tears out the copper pipes.

GM asks, "Checking the crates' contents, or just grabbing what you can grab?"

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "bah"

Morfu says, "Matching known labels to crates, I presume."

Kinkajou is looking in anything he moves before moving it.

[roguespace] GM says, "Your cargo bay can hold about as much as one of these two cargo bays."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "So, basically, all the cargo."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Well, not counting our shuttles."

Kinkajou moves more crates.

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Grunt's life never stops being just humping heavy crap around, does it."

GM says, "Checking the crates... you find two full of normal batteries, the eight with industrial batteries, the six with rations, and one with robot parts in the port bay..."

Gregory's leg conveniently locks up as he loads a crate. "Blast it. Time for me to take over on the bridge. Keep moving them crates!"

[roguespace] GM says, "That's"

[roguespace] GM says, "Basically, half the cargo."

Gregory relaxes and plays with Gleek while the others work.

[roguespace] GM says, "Since that ship has two full bays. And yours can hold the contents of one."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Oh, right, okay, I can parse what you meant now."

Morfu says, "Batteries can't be worth that much; recommend we leave them until next time."

Kinkajou asks, "robot parts, eh?"

GM says, "The other has four with pressure suits, eight with heavy armor, four with light armor, and two with blaster pistols."

Kinkajou says, "not a bad haul"

Morfu says, "Alternatively, cram a bunch of cargo into our quarters, and be unhappy for a while."

Gregory says, "Hmm. Wonder how many other ships were hauling this stuff - and to where."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "So our cargo capacity is about 20 crates?"

[roguespace] GM says, "Right."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Armour is 12, blasters is 2, take the robot parts, that's 13."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "Core is, what, one crate's worth?"

[roguespace] GM says, "Four."

[roguespace] Morfu asks, "Could we just leave the core in one of the shuttles?"

[roguespace] GM says, "OK."

[Crows-Nest] Kinkajou says, "rrf. afraid I have to leave, like, now."

Kinkajou returns to his quarters for a bit.

Eolo has disconnected.

Eolo goes home.

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Thanks for playing; see you next time."

[roguespace] GM says, "(Darn, I was just about to finish."

[roguespace] GM says, "(I was just letting you pick your cargo first)"

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Extra pressure suits are always handy, that's 17."

[Crows-Nest] Gregory says, "Ok, so 7 crates left (plus the computer in a shuttle) - pressure suits are actually worth more than heavy armor, so lets take them."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "And a couple crates of regular batteries is 19. Plus a couple bodies. And the core in the spare shuttle."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Sound like a good haul? We're leaving behind industrial batteries and some rations."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Wait, let me add that up again."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Uh..."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Armour 12 + blasters 2 + robot parts 1 = 15."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "+4 pressure suits = 19, +1 batteris"

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Yes, that looks good."

[roguespace] Gregory says, "Normal or industrial? Or rations, since we can actually eat those if we need them."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Normal will be easier to fence, I think. And rations... ehh, I don't like Kalveshi food."

[roguespace] Morfu says, "Although we could probably throw a crate or two of them in the galley."

GM says, "Davey, Gergory, and Morfu are waiting on the Adam ship for Kinkajou to bring the shuttle back, after he and CHAUN-C unload the the last shuttleful, when the Pilot's voice comes over the radio..."

[Crows-Nest] Morfu says, "Ah crap."

Pilot says, "'I think we've got company.'"

GM says, "And that is where we end."

Morfu says, "Whee."

Gregory says, "(I'd like to point that I'm on the bridge too.)"

Morfu says, "Good game, GM."

GM says (to Greg), "OK. So you hear him in person :)"

Morfu says, "Yes, Gregory went back, lazy bum."

Gregory asks, "Also, did we place the salvage beacon yet, or were we gonna do that as we leave?"

Morfu says, "The latter, I believe."

GM says, "1 XP for everyone who was present and took part."

Morfu says, "Alright, let's not ALL take Linguistics."

GM says, "I.e. Gregory, Kinkajou, and Morfu."

Morfu says, "I wonder where Thessle got off to."

Morfu orders Davey to learn Kalveshi.

GM says, "Unfortunately, poor Davey doesn't get XP."

Morfu says, "Poor kid. At least he didn't get killed."

Morfu asks, "Anyone up for a strategy chat?"

GM asks, "Anyone have any questions/issues, BTW?"

GM says, "First time running this, so there are probably kinks to smooth out."

Morfu says, "No real issues, I don't think... felt like it ran pretty okay."

Morfu says, "Kinda felt like I found my character, who turned out to be kinda different than I expected."

Morfu says, "I'm not sure the Shooty guys got much to do, but I expect that will change in a hurry."

Morfu says, "We might have straightened out the cargo thing a bit earlier, but that's kinda our own fault."

GM says, "Anything that I could have done to make that go more smoothly, do you think? I wanted to make sure you guys got a choice in what you took."

Morfu says, "Well, just clarify how many crates were there and our cargo capacity a bit earlier, I guess. But it came out in good time."

Morfu says, "I felt like we had some real choices to make with real consequences."

Morfu asks, "I'm looking forward to the next game, in any case. When will that be, again?"

GM says, "Three weeks from tonight, same time."

GM says, "Taking about the core was a good idea. I hadn't though of that."

GM asks, "Anything before I close the log?"

Morfu says, "I've nothing further. Morfu, Medical Officer, Star Minnow, signing off."
