[shadowrun] PerrySimm says, "Log on."

[shadowrun] Jota says, "(This is the right time, isn't it?)"

[shadowrun] katre says, "sorry, lps said 9:30"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Oh, whoops, I missed that."

[shadowrun] katre says, "he said that this afternoon, so"

GM has arrived.

npc1 has arrived.

npc2 has arrived.

[shadowrun] GM asks, "did Thurgun ever describe his focus?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "I've seen Emvee's description"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I don't think so."

[shadowrun] Emvee | Emvee wants a copper bracelet with stuff in it Thurgun's never heard of, but hey. Thurgun isn't sure what he wants, declaring "O'ill know it when O'i see it."

[shadowrun] GM says, "okay"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I do seem to recall him talking about a found art-style collage of bits at one point, though."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Not sure if that was his plan for what it'd look like, or just how he'd get the ingredients."

[shadowrun] GM says, "I was hoping to draw inspiration for the specific nature of his exotic item from the structure of the focus. but hey, time for el backup plan"

Thurgun has arrived.

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun wave!

[shadowrun] GM says, "yay"

[shadowrun] inky says, "oh yeah"

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "Just got home."

Asher has arrived.

[shadowrun] GM asks (of Thurgun), "did you ever decide what your focus looks like?"

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "Oh! Uh, no."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Woo."

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Only here."

[shadowrun] GM says, "okay"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "I was going to find stuff then decide from that. In character, at least."

[shadowrun] GM says, "that's fine"

[shadowrun] GM asks, "everyone ready?"

[shadowrun] Thurgun injures himself, is ready.

LongFeather says (to Thurgun), "Ahh, it is good to see you again. And to meet your friend."

[shadowrun] Thurgun asks, "Are we there, or is he here?"

Emvee nods.

[shadowrun] GM says, "you are there"

[shadowrun] Asher says, "this is pre-SF, I thought"

Thurgun says, "Thanks for agreeing to see us."

LongFeather says, "Come, come into the lodge."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I'm not even sure where 'here' is, in context."

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "At his place vs. mine."

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "an Amerind camp scarily far out in the middle of nowhere, nearish Seattle"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Which is outside the city in the village where I grew up."

[shadowrun] GM says, "it's dark, there may possibly be bears"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Also, that."

Emvee shuffles inward toward a corner.

Thurgun grins, slaps Emvee on the back, and follows Long Feather.

GM says, "The lodge is a small room, about 5 feet by 5 feet."

GM says, "The ceiling is low enough that Thurgun has to bend over to avoid hitting his head."

Thurgun . o O ( I remember when I didn't have to do that. )

LongFeather asks (of Thurgun), "You told me you are attempting to make some foci for the two of you?"

Thurgun nods.

LongFeather asks, "How may I be of help?"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "For a moment, I thought he was remembering a past life."

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "Yay"

Thurgun says, "Well, I got most of the formula, but there's something..."

Thurgun shrugs.

Thurgun says, "Something missing."

LongFeather says, "Ah."

LongFeather says, "We need to perform a divination, then."

Thurgun says, "I can at least tell it's not right, but I can't tell what should go."

LongFeather closes the door, and begins to chant softly.

Thurgun sits cross-legged on the floor, motions for Emvee to do the same.

Emvee follows suit. He doesn't have far to go.

LongFeather says, "Wa-pa-nee Wa-pa-nee. Tonight, we ask the spirits for aid. We shall not leave until they answer. Pa-nee-bah Pa-nee-bah."

LongFeather digs through a few jars and assembles a handful of leaves, which he throws onto the smouldering coals in the center of the lodge. A dense, pungent smoke begins to fill the room.

LongFeather says, "The sacred smoke will open our eyes to the spirits. Breathe deep."

Thurgun looks at Emvee in a see-I-told-you-we-should-be-sitting sort of way.

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "ha ha"

Thurgun closes his eyes, inhales. The memory makes him smile.

GM says, "Without any conscious change, you realize that your astral sight has opened. You see the auras of the three of you clearly."

GM says, "Long Feather's aura is swirling violets and golds, very bright, lighting the room."

Emvee raises his eyebrows, but says nothing.

LongFeather asks (of Thurgun), "Will you go first?"

Thurgun exclaims, "Sure!"

Thurgun exclaims (at Spirits), "Hi!"

Emvee . o O ( I hope he knows what he's doing, 'cuz I sure don't... )

LongFeather removes an obsidian knife from a chest in the corner. "I made this myself, from a stone at the top of Mt St. Helens."

LongFeather says, "Hold out your hand."

Thurgun holds out his hand.

LongFeather uses the knife to make a small slice across the index finger, and shakes a drop of blood onto the coals. Then he pulls out a nano-bandaid and puts it on the finger.

LongFeather exclaims, "Oh, ancestors of this man, heed his request!"

LongFeather exclaims, "He has need of your advice, your counsel!"

[shadowrun] GM says (to Thurgun), "You have a Light pysical wound"

[shadowrun] GM says, "also, roll your Magic, TN3"

[shadowrun] Thurgun rolls 6t3: 6+5 5 2 5 5 6+5 | 5

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "(assuming you meant Sorcery or Enchanting)"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee asks, "Magic is an actual stat, isn't it?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "I meant Magic, the attribute (not gathering)"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Oh."

[shadowrun] GM says, "which, for you, should be 6"

[shadowrun] GM says, "so that's okay"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Well there we go, then ;-)"

GM says, "The smoke coming from the coals begins to seethe and swirl. Suddenly, you realize it has taken on the shape of an old man, sitting in the lotus position, hovering two feet in the air."

Rajeesh asks, "You called me, my descendent?"

Rajeesh is an old, wizened man, wearing nothing but a breechclout, with long white hair and a long white beard.

Thurgun says, "Hello."

[Crows-Nest] (from Asher) Thurgun says "We have brought you .. some pants"

Rajeesh asks, "Why have I been summoned? What is the need?"

Thurgun says, "O'i need your knowledge."

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "Perhaps that will be his quest."

Rajeesh asks, "What do you need to know?"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "'I have concealed my pants of power in a stronghold deep within the earth...'"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "man, I forgot to not bother trying to be dramatic with this crowd"

Thurgun says, "O'im making this focus, so's O'i can keep a spell in it. And I have the basics down,"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "ha ha"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "Hee. Sorry."

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "I will be quiet in the peanut gallery"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "nah, no real problem"

Rajeesh asks, "And...?"

Thurgun says, "You just put the three radicals in a triangle, with the point facing south, then gradually add... well, anyway."

Thurgun says, "There's something missing. O'i think it'll need to be something unusual, to hold the strength of the spell O'i want to put in it."

Rajeesh says, "Ah, indeed."

Rajeesh says, "You need an item of power, unique to yourself, since this focus is designed for you."

Thurgun exclaims, "O'i knew it!"

Rajeesh says, "Once, in the distant past, I lived with our people in my village."

Rajeesh says, "We were simple farmers, but we were happy, for in our temple we kept a sacred relic of the gods."

Rajeesh says, "It was a small orb of green glass, that fell from the heavens one day. Still warm from the touch of the gods, we placed it in our temple."

Rajeesh says, "While we had it still, we knew peace, and prosperity."

Rajeesh says, "Sadly, on the day my life ended, we were visited by high-handed, light-skinned visitors. They came from the south, but claimed to live in the far northwest."

Rajeesh says, "Among many things they took, they took our relic, back to their land. It has passed through many, many hands since then. I do not know where it lies now."

Rajeesh says, "But that relic will give you the power you need."

Thurgun says, "Wow."

Thurgun asks, "Did they say anything other than 'northwest'?"

Rajeesh says, "Their leader called himself Lord Almsley, and claimed to be a servant of someone known as "the Raj"."

Thurgun nods.

Rajeesh says, "He came to our village of Khuntia. I do not know where he went after."

Thurgun asks, "If you once held it, will O'i be able to attune myself to it, and know if it is close?"

Rajeesh reaches out his hand and points to Thurgun. "I give you my blessing. When you are near to the sacred relic, you will feel its holy power, and know that it is near."

Thurgun nods and bows, a tricky feat when you're sitting cross-legged, but he's tall enough to pull it off.

Rajeesh asks, "Have you more questions?"

Thurgun says, "It's, well, O'i..."

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "[more]"

Thurgun says, "It's good to see you. O'im doing well. Your-- uh, my-- uh, our spirit, is still strong. Strange times are here, but... we're OK. O'im doing my best to protect the innocent, and protect my friends."

Thurgun says, "The two groups don't always overlap, but, well."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "ha ha"

Thurgun nods, and scratches away a piece of dust from his eye.

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "aw"

Thurgun says, "O'ill find this stone, don't worry."

Rajeesh says, "You are doing well. We are proud of you."

Thurgun beams.

Rajeesh says, "I return to my meditation. I will not be able to answer the call for some time."

Thurgun nods. "O'i understand."

Rajeesh fades back into eddies of smoke.

LongFeather throws more leaves on the coals.

Thurgun says, "Whew."

LongFeather asks (of Emvee), "Are you ready for your summoning?"

Emvee says, "I... I guess so.."

Emvee holds out his hand.

LongFeather makes the same cut, drips the same blood into the fire, and places a new nano-bandaid on the wound.

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "You also have a Light wound, and make a Magic roll, TN 3"

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "Man, I love the nano-bandaid in the middle of the sacred ritual."

[shadowrun] Emvee rolls 6t3: 3 3 1 4 1 1 | 3

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "yeah"

GM says, "Again, the smoke begins to waver and takes on shape."

Thurgun watches, interested.

Albert says, "Whoa, I've been brought back."

Emvee's eyes get bigger.

Albert is a man, a bit short of 6 feet tall. He is wearing overalls, with darker patches on them, and has similar darker patches on his hands.

Albert says (to Emvee), "So, you're my descendant, huh? Keen."

Emvee cranes his neck.

Albert says, "I guess I'm your, um, let's see, great-great-grandfather? Maybe it's just great-great. You know, none of those kids ever come visit me in the astral plane."

Emvee asks, "Mom's side?"

Albert asks, "So, daddy-o, what's cooking?"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "they never write, they never visit, they never summon"

Albert says (to Emvee), "Yeah, man."

Emvee says, "M' friend 'n' I, we're working on a spell focus."

Emvee says, "He knows all about 'em, an' 'e's got this recipe all made up an' ev'rything, but I guess it's missin' a bit where we need special parts."

Albert asks, "Huh, what kind of part?"

Albert says, "Like, I have this great carb for a '57 camero I've been looking at, but I doubt that's what you need."

Albert says, "Besides, it's astral, y'know."

Emvee says, "Uh... somethin' I can fit int' this brac'let idea'd be nice. I wanna make a mem'ry circuit outta electrolum'nescents an' copper wires an' stuff."

Albert asks, "Copper, huh?"

Emvee says, "But I dunno what kinda magic it's gotta have t' fit."

Emvee nods.

Albert says, "I had this great lucky penny, back when I was alive."

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "Excellent."

Albert says, "Double-headed! Some kind of mistake when they made it, I guess."

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "that is indeed a good one"

Albert exclaims, "It was change when I bought my first wrench, even!"

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "Sweet"

Albert says, "I kept that thing my entire life. But I dunno what happened to it after I bit it."

Emvee nods... "I think I've seen pennies, in movies... they're like coins, right?

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "ha ha"

Albert says, "If you could find it, it might do what you need."

Albert says, "Yeah, flat copper discs."

Thurgun exclaims, "O'i have a machine that smashes 'em!"

Albert says, "They've got pictures stamped on the sides, see."

Thurgun says, "Er, not that O'id smash your penny."

Albert asks (of Thurgun), "Aww, man, do not smash my lucky penny, okay?"

[Crows-Nest] Albert says, "ha"

Emvee asks, "Didja have it when, y'know...?"

Albert says, "Yeah, it was in my pocket, like always."

Albert says, "But it was probably sold off."

Albert says, "Funerals were expensive, then, and a double-headed penny is rare enough to be valuable."

Albert says, "It was a 1949, Denver mint."

Emvee says, "That makes sense."

Emvee asks, "I guess there aren't many o' those, right? 'f I find one, do I gotta worry 'bout whether it's th'right one or not?"

Albert asks, "Oh, man, even if it looks the same, it wouldn't have the family vibe, right?"

Albert says, "It'd just be so much metal."

Albert says, "But, tell ya what, I'll fix it so that you can tell the right one, if you see it."

Albert puts his smokey hand into a ghostly pocket, and pulls out a translucent wrench.

Emvee says, "Thanks."

Albert says, "My favorite wrench. Now, this won't hurt a bit..."

Emvee tries not to flinch.

Albert sticks the wrench inside Emvee's skull, and starts making twisting motions.

Albert says, "There ya go, all good."

Emvee resists the urge to cross his eyes to try to peer back into his head.

Albert asks, "Anything else, grandkid?"

Emvee says, "Uh... c'n I getcher name, an' where y'used t' live? In case there's still a record o' when th'penny got sold."

Emvee asks, "Or's that not proper ancestor pr'cedure?"

Albert says, "Eh, I don't mind."

Albert says, "Albert Grand, of good old San Francisco, that's me. Was me. Whatever."

Emvee nods. "Hey, 'f I see an' family, want me t' tell 'em t' give y' a call?"

Albert says, "Do it, man. It's nice to get a visit."

Albert says, "But now I gotta get back to tuning up my camaro. Once it's running, that'll be one sweet car."

Albert exclaims, "See you on the flip side, daddy-o!"

Emvee says, "Right -- an' thanks again. I'll see y' later sometime, I guess."

Albert strides away, but as he gets further from the center of the lodge, he gets wispier and wispier, until he is gone.

LongFeather asks, "Do you both have what you need?"

Emvee says, "Wow."

Thurgun says (to LongFeather), "Perfect."

Emvee nods. "Yeah."

LongFeather exclaims, "Then this ritual is ended!"

LongFeather opens the door, walks outside, and starts coughing.

LongFeather says, "The sacred *cough* smoke, it *cough* gets me every *cough* time."

Thurgun exits the lodge, chuckling.

Thurgun says, "Oh, hey, O'i brought you something."

LongFeather asks, "Yes?"

Thurgun rummages in his sack, and pulls out a can of root beer.

Emvee follows Thurgun, in a bit of a daze. It's the first time he's had a real conversation with a spirit.

Thurgun exclaims, "It's still cold, even!"

Thurgun tosses it over.

LongFeather says, "Thank you. It's hard to get soft drinks out here."

LongFeather opens it and drinks, to ease his throat.

[shadowrun] GM says, "if people want to do research now, we can, or we can save it for later"

Thurgun says, "Mind if we spend the night? It's a long way back to the city."

[shadowrun] GM says, "I'm good to continue"

LongFeather says, "Of course. My home is always open to you, and to your friends."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I'm good for it."

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Sure."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Is this before or after Sunny's mentioned SF?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "this is after"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I suppose I'll start by looking up some coin dealers, and asking them about pennies matching Albert's description."

[shadowrun] Asher says (to Emvee), "see, a run involving rare coins will pay for itself"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "(Whoops, gotta go AFK for a moment first.)"

[shadowrun] Thurgun asks, "Can I look for stuff on the 'net?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "you can"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Or in actual libraries."

[shadowrun] Thurgun exclaims, "I'll do that!"

[shadowrun] GM says, "most libraries in 2060 are just physical archives and matrix nodes with the readable text"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Cross-referencing Lord Almsley and Khuntia."

[shadowrun] GM asks, "doing the search yourself, or using contacts?"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "I'll do it myself, at least until I fail utterly."

[shadowrun] GM says, "right, then roll your Int, TN4"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Heh."

[shadowrun] GM says, "(this is why I asked ;-)"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "(I'm spending karma to up my Int, but presumably it's not hit yet)"

[shadowrun] Thurgun rolls 1t4: 4 | 1

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Whew."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "(Back.)"

[shadowrun] GM says, "You find a reference to Lord Almsley, who led a party of explorers for the British East India Company."

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "And since 'spending time in libraries' is something you said I should do to do that, this is perfect ;-)"

[shadowrun] GM says, "He apparently wandered through large parts of modern India, and brought back many commercial samples and some interesting souveniers"

[shadowrun] Thurgun follows up on the souveniers thread.

[shadowrun] GM says, "Apparently some went to his superiors in the BEAC, and the rest were in his private possession until his death, when they were donated to the British Museum"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says (to inky), "I suppose raiding museums can be profitable as well."

[shadowrun] Thurgun asks, "Anything about where rocks would have gone?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "roll Int again, TN3"

[shadowrun] Thurgun rolls 1t3: 2 | 0

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Aww."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Would you like Emvee along to help?"

[shadowrun] Thurgun exclaims, "Sure!"

[shadowrun] GM says, "If Emvee is helping, he can try the same roll."

[shadowrun] Emvee rolls 6t3: 4 1 4 4 2 2 | 3

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "hmm yeah"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Oh, should we assume we've healed our light physical wounds?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "yeah"

Thurgun says (to Emvee), "Oh! So *that's* what 'cross-referencing' means."

[shadowrun] GM says, "You find a list of Museum properties, circa 1850, which mentions 'the Green Orb of Almsley'."

[shadowrun] GM says, "but a similar check of the current possessions of the Museum comes up blank"

[shadowrun] Asher says, "hmmmm"

Emvee shows Thurgun the listings.

Thurgun says, "O'i bet some dragon got it."

Thurgun says, "Well, we've narrowed it down to two centuries. That's a start."

Noldo asks (of Emvee), "So, a double-headed penny, eh? What year did you say?"

Thurgun exclaims, "And we have something new to search for!"

Emvee checks for transfers, sales, or thefts from the British Museum in the last 200 years.

Emvee says, "1949"

Noldo says, "Hmm, yes, there was a famous run of double-headed pennies in 1949. Denver mint, I think."

Noldo says, "Not many for sale these days, of course. Run you quite a few nuyen, if you wanted to buy one."

[Crows-Nest] Asher asks, "noldo? wasn't he the one shooting at you guys in the ares lab?"

Emvee asks, "D'y'know what collect'ns might 'ave any?"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "I think that was Molo."

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "This is a conversation from the middle of that encounter. You know, you start talking shop..."

Noldo says, "Well, various collectors might have one, but if they're not offering it for sale I wouldn't know."

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "ha ha"

Emvee asks, "D'y'know who is sellin' 'em lately?"

Noldo says, "Hmm, let's see."

Noldo taps on his pocket computer a bit.

Noldo says, "One on the market in Paris, another in D.C."

Noldo says, "Nothing really local, of course, and there aren't many left."

Noldo exclaims, "They should outlaw those penny-smashing machines!"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "Ha."

[shadowrun] Asher asks, "did you try tracing the sales via the guy's estate?"

Emvee holds out his unit. "C'n I download that list from you?"

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "Yay"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Not yet."

Noldo says, "Sure, here you go."

Noldo says, "Although if you do want to buy, come back and talk to me. I know most of these people, and can probably get you a better deal. Minus my commission, of course."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Also, does the special recognition vibe the ancestors passed on take effect if we look at images of the artifacts, or is it just physical proximity?"

[shadowrun] Noldo says, "To search for the list of thefts or sales from the British Museum, someone roll Int, TN5"

[shadowrun] GM says, "er, as GM"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "(Or is that someone we won't know until we try?)"

[shadowrun] GM exclaims, "too many windows!"

Emvee nods. "Def'nitely. Thanks -- this 's a big help."

[Crows-Nest] Thurgun says, "I'll try first."

[shadowrun] Thurgun rolls 1t5: 1 | FRAGGIN' CRITICAL FAILURE

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "You're pretty sure that magic doesn't work via pictures"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Heh."

[shadowrun] Emvee rolls 6t5: 3 1 6+4 6+3 3 6+3 | 3

[shadowrun] GM says (to Thurgun), "You find an excellent list of holdings of the russian museum"

[shadowrun] GM says, "and I'll deal with Emvee's roll as soon as I stop being AFK a moment"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "np"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Meanwhile, Thurgun can excitedly pore over his findings."

Thurgun exclaims, "Look! An even *smaller* doll was discovered in the first one!"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "ha ha"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "ha ha"

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "You find a bill of sale between the British Museum and the Smithsonian for the orb."

[shadowrun] GM says, "In 1895"

Emvee says (to Thurgun), "Looks like it got sold."

Emvee checks Smithsonian records.

Thurgun says, "Oh? O'i was kinda hoping it was going to end up in the smallest doll."

Emvee says (to Thurgun), "Y'nev'r know."

[shadowrun] GM says, "You find a record that a lot of the Smithsonian gemstone holdings were transferred to Denver when the NAN was formed. But the record doesn't list any specific items, and you can't tell if the orb was included, or if it stayed."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Can search the Smithsonian's current holdings?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "there are a couple of things there that might match, and a couple of things in denver that might be it."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Is this a branch of the Smithsonian in Denver?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "it's the Denver Museum"

Emvee downloads it all to a disk and gives it to Thurgun. "This c'ld maybe be a good lead, 'f y'ever get an excuse t' be in Denver f'r some reason."

[shadowrun] Asher says, "ha ha"

Thurgun says (to Emvee), "Thanks, you've been a great help."

Emvee switches to looking up Albert.

[shadowrun] GM says, "roll Int, TN 4"

Emvee says, "Sure thing."

[shadowrun] Emvee rolls 6t4: 4 2 6+2 1 2 5 | 3

[shadowrun] GM says, "You find an estate record. Item #57 is 'Penny, 1949, Double-headed'"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "That sounds familiar."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Does it say what happened to it?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "looks like it was sold at auction to a Kelly Wildes for $2000"

Emvee looks up Kelly Wildes, with particular focus on her numismatic habits.

[shadowrun] GM says, "Kelly Wildes was a rare coin collector in San Fran in the mid-late 20th century. Ran a shop in San Fran, near the golden gate bridge."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Ooh. Does the shop still exist?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "there is still a shop of some kind there, yes"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "While we're still in Seattle, I think I'll check up on the sellers I was told about."

[shadowrun] GM asks, "what are you checking?"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "If there's any record of when/how they bought the 1949 pennies they're selling."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Also, just to get familiar with them, in case I see something later that could remind me of them."

[shadowrun] GM says, "You'd have to ask them individually."

[shadowrun] GM says, "Two of them are seattle-based, and one is in Denver"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "How many names are on the list altogether?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "three"

[shadowrun] GM says, "(cause I am too lazy to come up with more for a dead end)"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "Hee hee yay"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Ha. Looks like 'Paris' must have been a misprint :)"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I'll pay a visit to the two Seattle ones, then."

[shadowrun] Thurgun asks, "OK, I'm being @summoned. Are we done enough for now?"

[shadowrun] GM says (to Thurgun), "I think your bit is done, at least until you go to Denver"

[shadowrun] Emvee says (to Thurgun), "I think that's entirely up to how much research you want to do right now."

[shadowrun] Thurgun exclaims, "Spoilers!"

[shadowrun] GM says, "but...what he said"

[shadowrun] Thurgun says, "OK, I'm off. Thanks--this was fun."

[shadowrun] GM exclaims, "later!"

Zawacki asks, "And how may I help you today....sir?"

Emvee says (to Zawacki), "I'm int'rested in double-headed pennies."

Zawacki says, "Ahh, indeed."

Zawacki says, "We have an excellent specimen for sale today, actually."

Zawacki says, "A 1949."

Emvee asks, "Ooh. An' chance I c'ld take a look at it?"

Zawacki says, "Very well."

Zawacki leans under the table, clicks open a display case, and pulls out a lucite container with a single coin in it.
