[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Is it possible to tweak one to let it run more than once?"

GM says, "As each and every one of you is walking down the street and doing your otherwise normal routines, you get a phone call. It's Big Jim"

BigJim says, "Hey, chummer, it's me. If you're interested in biz, I've got a meet for you. Be at the Dead Cow tonight, 8 pm, and ask for Johnson."

[shadowrun] Asher says, "man, that guy just won't leave us alone"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "yeah, give him one finger and he wants the entire hand"

GM says, "He doesn't have anything else to add, just that Johnson will explain everything."

Asher breaks another clubbing date with his girlfriend and changes into his shadowrun outfit before heading to the spot.

Emvee shows up a few minutes early.

Sunny, having nothing more exciting planned for the day, shows up, taking a look around the joint first.

Waitress says, "Mr Johnson isn't here yet, but he did reserve a room. You can wait for him in here."

TonyThum is already there, leaning motionlessly against a column, arms crossed

GM says, "As you walk in, there's someone already waiting."

Quint asks, "Er, hello, is one of you... Johnson?"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum asks, "who's quint?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "ask him"

Asher says, "not me, man"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "I mean player"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "Looks like an NPC."

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "he's an NPC"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "ah"

TonyThum says, "I am not, and, it seems, neither are you."

Asher says, "I figured you were him, but apparently not -- maybe he's one of these other guys"

Sunny exclaims, "Hi!"

Quint says, "Oh, no. My friend Jim said I should meet a guy named Johnson here."

Quint says, "I told him how I wanted to get out of my boring programming job, so he suggested I take some kind of contract job Johnson is offering."

Quint asks, "He didn't mention any other contractors, but hey, it's cool. What kind of 'ware do you guys write?"

Asher says, "...oh"

Emvee says, "I do hardware."

[Crows-Nest] Maxwell asks, "There's no decker in the group?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "PC deckers are tough"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "because they spend 90% of the time off doing matrixy things"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "the NPC decker sort of elides all that"

Asher says, "I do break-into-buildings-and-steal-stuff-for-money-ware, if you get my drift"

Quint says, "Oh....that sounds a bit outside my range."

Quint says, "I'm more into the break-into-hosts-and-steal-data-for-money-ware, really."

Emvee asks, "Are you good at searching the Matrix for stuff?"

Asher says, "I'm sure we can come to some compromise"

Emvee says, "'S harder than it looks."

TonyThum says, "I don't code. Anyway, I believe introductions are in order. So, hello. My name's (inaudible machine-gun like cascade of sounds), but I go by Naro."

Quint pats his shoulder bag. "With this baby, I can find anything, anywhere."

Quint says, "I'm Quint, it's nice to meet you all."

Emvee says, "'m Emvee."

Sunny says, "I'm Sunny."

Waitress walks in. "And you can all call me Johnson."

MrJohnson walks in. "And you can all call me Johnson."

MrJohnson asks, "Thank you all for coming. I trust our mutual friend Jim impressed on you the need for discretion?"

MrJohnson says, "I represent a commercial entity in this city. Just yesterday, one of our intelligence assets in another corporation passed some very interesting data to us."

MrJohnson says, "As you probably know, every corp is trying to build a bigger and better cyberdeck, to keep ahead of the people trying to break into our systems. Fuchi has always had a lead in this department."

MrJohnson says, "We have learned that, one week from today, they will be receiving the prototype of their latest cyberdeck. It will arrive from Tokyo at SeaTac Airport, and be driven to a research facility in downtown."

MrJohnson says, "My employers would very much like it if that prototype was delivered to our research establishment, instead."

MrJohnson asks, "Are you interested?"

Asher looks around at the others

Asher says, "I imagine we could come to some agreement"

TonyThum nods.

Emvee tentatively nods, glancing around.

Sunny says, "Tentatively, though I'd like to know more details about the job"

MrJohnson says, "We've managed to get the personnel records of the guards handling transport, as well as a route map and the schedule."

MrJohnson says, "However, our intelligence assets are not very close to the group that will be receiving the item, so we can't get much data on the device itself."

MrJohnson passes over two data flecs. "The first one is the personnel list, the other is the route. The flight is scheduled to arrive at 10 pm.

Sunny asks, "Still, what you have sounds helpful. Do you have information on the non-people security that'll be involved?"

MrJohnson says, "We know that the airport has been alerted that a high-security flight is arriving, and will have their own people on high alert."

MrJohnson says, "And of course Fuchi's compound will be ready and waiting for the two vans to arrive back."

MrJohnson says, "The two vans will be leaving Fuchi at 8. They arrive at the airport, wait for the plane to touch down at 10, and then drive back."

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum asks, "how about two vans... filled with dynamite?"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum asks, "or is that not business practice?"

MrJohnson says, "I am authorized to offer a sum of 25,000 Y once you deliver the device to me."

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "Might be tough to collect the prototype if its in pieces."

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "after removing the prototype, of course"

MrJohnson says, "Of course, that depends on the prototype being in good condition for us to study."

Sunny asks, "Two vans?"

Emvee tries to figure out if Johnson means total or apiece.

[shadowrun] GM says, "you do your own split"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "if he meant apiece, that's when I run from the room and change my name"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "heh"

Asher asks, "I imagine this job is going to run to some higher-than-usual expenses -- will you be covering those in addition to the base 25k?"

MrJohnson says (to Sunny), "Yes, two identical unmarked Fuchi Security vans. Both have rigger drivers and three security guards in the back."

MrJohnson says (to Asher), "I'm sorry to say that expenses, like the methodology, are entirely your business."

[Crows-Nest] Emvee asks, "Also, is a 'flec' a display, like electronic paper, or is it just a medium?"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "it's just a data chip"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "you slot it into a computer or your cyberdeck or whatever to read it"

Emvee downloads the data from the flecs to his pocket sec.

[Crows-Nest] Asher asks, "I dunno, is there any point me trying to negotiate a higher price here, or should we just skip it?"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "I like higher prices."

[Crows-Nest] GM says (to asher), "you can certainly try it and roll it"

Sunny asks, "Do you have any information about others who might be, hm, interested here?"

[Crows-Nest] Sunny says, "I was planning on trying to bump up his price as well"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "But Emvee's not about to try the negotiation."

[Crows-Nest] Asher asks (of GM), "can I use corp etiquette, or stick with negotiations?"

MrJohnson says (to Sunny), "Obviously, any other entities that have intelligence assets inside Fuchi might be interested. I am not aware of any specifically."

Sunny nods.

[Crows-Nest] GM says (to asher), "stick with Negotiations. Your TN is 5"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "alrighty"

MrJohnson says (to Emvee), "They are unmarked black Landrover 2046 vans."

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "hmm yeah"

MrJohnson says, "While there is a map of their planned route in that flec, your best bet to positively ID them is probably to catch them at one of the two places you know they'll be: Fuchi at 8, and the airport at 10."

MrJohnson slides a piece of paper onto the table.

Sunny says, "The week lead time opens up many possibilites."

MrJohnson says, "When you have the device, call this number."

MrJohnson says, "A woman will answer. Ask for Carlos. When she says that she doesn't know who that is, apologize and say that you have the wrong number."

MrJohnson says, "That will be the signal for me to meet you, here, an hour from when you call."

Emvee asks, "If we find any oth' stuff in th'vans, are you int'rested in that too?"

[Crows-Nest] Sunny says, "everything this johnson learned about being johnson he learned from watching 1970s spy movies"

MrJohnson says, "Anything else is yours, do wit it as you wish."

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "ugh, almost nodded off there. sorry, I'm on flu meds today"

[shadowrun] GM asks, "any other questions for Johnson?"

[shadowrun] Asher says, "I think I'm ready to start our own planning"

Asher picks up the paper and memorizes the number

[shadowrun] Sunny asks, "Anything noticeable about him we could use to dig into mr johnson himself?"

[shadowrun] TonyThum recorded this entire thing, by the way

[shadowrun] GM says, "he is totally unremarkable and anonymous. Oddly so, in fact. You suspect extensive plastic surgery"

[shadowrun] Emvee says (to Sunny), "That sounds remarkably dangerous."

[shadowrun] GM says, "Human, average height, average weight, white, average face"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "man"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "at least he has no Everyman Suit"

MrJohnson says, "If that is all, gentlemen and ladies, I must be going."

Emvee looks terrified he's about to get called on.

Asher says, "not the kind Quint does"

[shadowrun] GM says, "Quint is going to be fairly quiet for the rest of the session, unless specifically asked anything"

Asher says, "right"

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks Quint about her b... wait, wrong game

Asher says, "Jim hooked me up with a rigger on my last gig, too -- might come in handy here"

Emvee says, "We should look at the route and stuff."

Quint fishes out his deck and a small portable screen.

Quint says, "Okay, here we go."

GM says, "The map shows Downtown and Tacoma. The Fuchi compound is pretty much in the middle of downtown, and the chosen route heads south, along main streets, until it reaches Tacoma, where it joins the main highway to the airport. Zooming in a bit, it seems they plan to use a small side gate to enter the airport and avoid the main terminal entirely."

TonyThum asks, "Do we want to get them before or after they take on the prototype?"

Sunny says, "Before would be best, but we should have backup plans"

Asher says (to Quint), "can you zoom in a bit more on the side gate? it seems like that's the least-trafficked road the route is going to cover"

Quint says, "Sure."

Sunny says, "Like, assuming this isn't implanted in someone, we could do a swap before it gets into the vans"

Emvee asks, "Like, gettin' inside Fuchi?"

TonyThum says (to Sunny), "I was pondering taking over the vans en route to the airport"

GM says (to Asher), "They'll be getting off the highway and taking a small road used mostly for large deliveries around to the gate."

Sunny says, "Yeah, getting inside Fuchi is probably a no-go."

Sunny says, "My first choice would be that they never know it's gone until way too late"

TonyThum says, "very."

Sunny says, "My second choice would be to grab it, then stage a deliberately botched raid that left the "prototype" slagged."

Emvee asks, "Can we do anythin t' th'guards?"

Emvee asks, "Like, replace 'em or somethin'?"

Asher says, "en route, maybe"

TonyThum asks, "why two vans, I wonder. Decoy?"

Asher says, "not inside Fuchi, unless we had a lot more than 25k to throw around"

Sunny says, "or get one of us as a replacement guard or replacement security personnel at the airport"

Sunny says (to Tony), "that's been bugging me since Johnson said it"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "I reread scrollback and finally realized that I'd reversed the route in my mind"

Emvee says (to Sunny), "SHoulda asked 'im."

[shadowrun] GM says, "ha ha"

Sunny says, "I did"

TonyThum asks, "and, more importantly, will they take two different routes?"

Sunny exclaims, "Well, perhaps not as directly as I should have. But I'm sure we can make plans!"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "What are the neighborhoods it'll eb passing through like?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "Downtown is downtown. Tacoma is mostly industrial factories and such"

[shadowrun] Asher says, "whatever plan we come up with, I hope it ends up with us dressing as burly construction workers like in ghostbusters"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "yay"

Asher says, "if we intend to grab it without them knowing, that means not replacing any of the guards or the vans, which means grabbing it out of the vans without attracting attention"

Asher says, "which means either we try and grab it while it's moving, or we have to stop the vans somehow"

Sunny says (to Asher), "I'd agree about not replacing Fuchi employees, but replacing airline employees or any external security contractors is another matter"

Sunny says, "The corps'd be so tied up in avoiding blame that it would take a while for Fuchi to discover what had truly happened"

TonyThum says, "hmm... do the switch at the airport..."

Asher says, "true enough"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "we could be burly plane unloaders"

Asher asks, "do these chips have any more plans for the handover at the airport?"

Sunny exclaims, "I'd like to know who else is after this hot little deck. I always hate to bump into another team when I'm working. It's so awkward!"

Ghogg goes home.

Quint says, "No, there's nothing else on it."

Emvee says, "I wonder if we can hack th' vans nav systems."

Emvee looks at Quint.

Quint says (to Emvee), "Hmm, they'd have to be set up for remote driving."

Quint says, "Which is possible, but even then if there's a driver inside he can just disable it."

Sunny says, "They've got riggers on-board."

Sunny says, "At least according to Johnson"

Sunny asks, "Could we re-route them using the nav system or roadblocks?"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "we should swap the drivers without the guards noticing!"

Quint says, "Hacking the nav system would be pretty tough."

Asher says, "roadblocks might work -- there's always construction near the airport -- but it's bound to make them suspicious"

Quint says, "But I might be able to get into the municipal street control system."

Quint says, "Which handles stuff light stoplights."

Asher says, "the vans are going to have guards, though; it'll be hard to make a quick switch"

Sunny says, "yeah"

Emvee asks, "'S there any way we can make the guards all get out o' th' vans?"

Emvee says, "If we could see 'em all at once, it might be easier."

Sunny says, "We could gas 'em."

TonyThum asks, "I'm still worried about there being two vans. Are we sure they'll go the same route?"

Sunny says, "No."

Asher says, "especially on the trip back they might want to split up"

GM says, "The monitor shows a glowing cyberscape. Quint seems to be standing inside a giant green cylinder."

Emvee says, "I wonder what th' guards have t' do for th' changeover."

Quint says, "Wanna bounce through a few hosts to avoid backtrack...Hamburg...Singapore...Oh, Atlanta..."

Emvee says, "Like, if they jus' need their ID cards, or if they gotta do a DNA test, or what."

GM says, "The screen flickers quickly between giant cubes and colors wires."

Quint says, "Okay, I'm in the airport. Looks like Fuchi has a special flight."

Quint says, "It's a small jet, Fuchi-owned, and a Fuchi pilot. Airline doesn't know anything else about the personnel or cargo onboard."

TonyThum says, "It's probably safe to assume there'll be guards"

Sunny asks, "Anything about whether the airport will be handling the package at all?"

Quint says (to Sunny), "Hmm. Not here... Ahh, here we go."

Quint says, "There's a note for the gate guards saying that two vans will arrive, they are to be allowed in. They'll drive over to a waiting area."

Quint says, "Once the jet lands, it'll park next to the vans. The vans can leave at any time."

Quint says, "I'd have to hack directly into Fuchi to find that out."

Quint says, "I don't think doing that from here is the best idea, but if you want, I can try it whenever."

TonyThum listens some more... "black 2046 Land rovers"

Asher says, "yeah, let's hold off for now"

Sunny says, "The 2046's a pretty bog-standard van unmodified. Lots of room for surprises, though."

Asher says, "so where are we? it appears our choices are 1) infiltrate Fuchi and get on the vans early 2) get on the vans after they leave Fuchi but before they arrive at the airport 3) try and grab it during the handover at the airport 4) grab it after the vans leave the airport"

TonyThum says (to Sunny), "Sorry, that should be twenty-fifty-six"

Asher says, "when we grab it, we can either try and do a stealthy substitution or a more direct raid"

Emvee says, "If we can get them t' open th' doors, I might be able t' sneak ont' one o' th'vans without bein seen."

Quint says, "There are 6 guards along, all of them about the same, been with Fuchi for 5 years or so. Slightly less cybered, but more offensively. Cybereyes, Boosted relfexes, smartlink, arm spurs."

Quint says, "The guards all have short-distance commlink/radio packages. Probably about 100 foot range, though."

Sunny says, "Oh, that's good to know."

Quint grabs his deck and heads to a decker's club he knows.

Quint says, "Here are the vehicle schematics. They started off as standard Landrover 2056s, but they added the rigger ports, some external armoring, and two hardpoints."

Emvee looks at the interior layout.

Quint says, "Each van carries ammo and two autocannons, but they won't be mounted inside the city."

Quint says, "Unless they're expecting real trouble."

Quint says, "The back is basically empty, two benches along the sides, only door in the back."

Sunny says, "Let's not have them expect real trouble."

Emvee asks, "How much space under the benches?"

Quint says, "If both keys match the key the jet was given, then two identical cases are handed back."

Quint says, "The guards take one case to each van, board, and drive off."

Quint says, "It's random which case has the goods and which is empty."

Emvee says, "Wow. Sounds almost too easy."

Quint says, "There was a note about a case in the past when the driver and guards of the only van assigned decided to make more money by selling than by delivering."

Sunny says, "Oho"

Quint says, "Which is why they now have two teams."

TonyThum says, "Interesting."

Sunny asks, "So neither knows if they have the prototype or not?"

Quint says, "Right."

Quint says, "The cases are sealed and tamper-proofed."

Sunny asks, "Tamper-proofed how?"

Emvee asks, "So if we can knock out both teams, we can get both keys?"

Quint says, "Some kind of tape over the opening, the kind that rips if you try to remove it."

Quint says, "Probably has some kind of watermark or something, too."

Sunny says, "So having replacement cases won't be that easy"

Quint says, "Once the vans have the cases, they drive back to the Fuchi compound. Nothing in the protocol about them calling home with a status report."

Emvee says (to Sunny), "Any replacements won't have th' prototype anyway."

Sunny says, "Sure, but they won't know that for at least a little while"

Emvee says (to Sunny), "That'd mean takin' it without th'guards knowin' anythin' happened at all, 'course."

Sunny says, "also they've got a short range, so if we separate them enough we don't have to worry about them talking to each other"

Quint says, "They're not supposed to lose visual contact with each other."

Emvee asks, "Hmm. What if someone dressed up as a Star?"

Asher says, "we might be able to arrange that with some traffic manipulation"

TonyThum says, "so if it's 100ft range, we can block them all at once..."

Asher asks (of Quint), "did you get enough info for us to be able to fake their radio communication?"

Emvee asks, "Knock on th' window, make 'em roll it down, then pop in th'gas?"

Quint says (to Asher), "Each group uses its own frequencies, and that's not in the personnel dossiers"

Sunny says, "We'd have to ditch the star getup but fast. they're not keen on things like that"

Asher says, "the frequencies we might be able to pick up if we scan them when they leave Fuchi"

Asher says, "but they're probably encrypted, too"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Hmm. Is there anything separating the front of the van from the back?"

Quint says, "The guards are all using cyberware radios"

Quint says, "No record of encryption modules being in there."

Emvee asks, "So looking in from the windshield, you can probably see (at least some of) everyone in the van?"

Quint says, "Okay, two black vans just started down the road. They're about 20 minutes away now."

Quint says, "Getting closer, about 10 minutes now."

Quint says (to Asher), "You'll be able to see them pretty soon. I'm turning the light red now."

RoboAsher says (to Sunny), "I think we can pull out a few seconds after they pass."

TonyThum shoves the canister in the van's intake and gets the hell out of there

[shadowrun] RoboAsher says, "(that possibility is one of the reasons I moved to the back of the van.)"

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks (of GM), "could I shoot him if I wanted?"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "one nice thing I realized about this plan: people don't remember cop's faces"

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks (of others), "should I?"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Speaking of sustained, I forgot to mention that I dropped Invis to cast stunball. But no bad guys have gotten to act yet since, so."

[shadowrun] GM says, "you could move and fire one shot, yes, but it'd be hard to shoot into the back of the van from the front window"

[shadowrun] Emvee says (to Tony), "I'd be against it, but it's your choice."

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "I'm against it too"

[shadowrun] GM says, "you can just hold your action, but the turn is almost over"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "We've still got stun grenades; they've got windows they can be tossed through."

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "drop in a grenade, then"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "but I'm not about to head into a van filled with gas, so the only ither thing is grenade"

[shadowrun] GM says, "okay, it'll go off at the end of the turn"

Emvee asks (of mic), "Is that all of them?"

Sunny says, "Let's go, team. We don't want to stand around all day."

Sunny moves around her van and pops open the back door, stepping back to let the gas disperse.

TonyThum ditto at the other van.

[shadowrun] GM says, "anyone think to bring a gas mask? I told you they exist :)"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "I thought I had a filter, but maybe not"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "ha ha no"

RoboAsher asks, "Do we want the vans, or just the cases?"

[shadowrun] GM says (to tony), "if you've got it, use it"

Emvee puts his coat over his face and opens and closes a side door a few times to fan the gas away.

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "no side doors"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says (to GM), "not seeing it on my list"

[shadowrun] GM says, "but you can wave the front door"

Emvee says (to Asher), "Leaving the vans would be better for our cover."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "OK, front door."

Sunny asks, "Quint, they get anything out over radio?"

[shadowrun] TonyThum calls on Asher to wave the front door

Quint says, "Everything looks quiet."

Emvee asks (of Sunny), "How much are we putting on the credstick we're planting?"

Emvee asks, "And which driver are we framing as the mastermind?"

[shadowrun] Sunny asks, "any of the drivers/guards appear more likely to be believed as a turncoat from their dossiers?"

TonyThum says, "not Kylie, since she got stung"

RoboAsher says, "I thought the cover was 'employee helps runners get the prototype easy.' No reason not to take the vans too, assuming we can reanonymize them."

[shadowrun] GM says, "not really"

RoboAsher says, "Yeah, the lady in front was a bit witty to start with."

TonyThum says, "dammit, we should have brought a mask to plant on one of the guards"

Quint asks, "Hey, guys?"

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks, "is the gas gone yet?"

Sunny says, "Oh, that's not a good sound."

Quint says, "I'm seeing a real Lone Star patrol heading up that road, from the highway."

Quint says, "You've got about 15 minutes before they get there."

RoboAsher takes off the Star jacket while the gas is clearing. Then hurries up.

Quint says, "I'm slowing them down with red lights as best I can."

Emvee scribbles out a note addressed to Garry. 'This is a downpayment. You get the rest when we've verified the prototype. We'll be expecting you at <location>.'

Quint says, "But you want to get out of there soon."

Sunny says, "We'll hurry."

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks, "ok, let's bundle the guys in and drive the cars out of sight?"

Emvee crumples the note and puts it in Garry's pocket with the credstick.

[shadowrun] Sunny says (to Emvee), "nice"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "I'm fine with driving the vans away or stripping them and running, whatever everyone wants to do"

[shadowrun] Sunny asks, "also, while we're deciding: anything else interesting in the vans other than the cases?"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Driving's probably faster than stripping, if the gas is clear."

[shadowrun] GM says (to Sunny), "nothing not already covered. Guards, cases, spare tires, autocannon, autocannon ammo"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "We can dump the corp guys in the pile of garbage."

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "It still smells in there a bit, but it might be doable."

RoboAsher says, "If we do take the vans, leaving the corp employees behind will stop the Star when they get here."

[shadowrun] TonyThum holds breath, grabs case. I assume cybereyes are unaffected by gas anyway

[shadowrun] GM says, "yeah"

Emvee says (to Asher), "Good plan."

Sunny says, "Let's dump them and go, then. I'll pile my bike in the back of one and drive it."

Emvee says, "Let's go."

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks, "want me to ride with the box on my bike, or do you want it in the cars??"

RoboAsher moves his own bike in, then assists with dragging guards to the curb.

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "just one ? though"

Emvee hauls some guards out.

Emvee hops in when the guards are gone and rolls down the rest of the windows.

Quint says, "Getting closer..."

Sunny gets her bike in and jumps in the driver's seat. "Time to go, time to go." She drums a beat on the steering wheel.

TonyThum asks, "want me to ride with the box on my bike, or do you want it in the cars?"

Emvee exclaims, "Whatever, just go!"

[shadowrun] GM says (to tony), "there are two cases, one per van"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "yes, I have one of them"

[shadowrun] GM says, "okay"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "ok, my bike it is"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Is Asher in a van?"

RoboAsher drives off with the caseless van.

TonyThum hops on bike, gets out of there.

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "before we run, who's where? I'm in van #2, with my bike in the back"

Emvee rides with Sunny, in the caseful van.

TonyThum mikes, "Where we going?"

Quint says, "Okay, I've erased the cameras at the scene, everything's cool."

RoboAsher asks, "Shall we call Johnson now, or head somewhere safe first?"

Emvee says (to mic), "Anywhere away from the Star."

Quint says, "The Star got there, found the bodies, and stopped to call it in."

Emvee checks the van over while they're driving for any gear that's not easily traced.

Sunny says, "These vans are about to be hot hot hot. Emvee, you finding anything useful in the vans other than the cases? If not, we need to get these to a slice-and-dice or frag them."

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "I was going to say we could store them at my harbor safe-warehouse location for a bit if they can't be traced"

RoboAsher asks, "Uh, Quint? Those van plans you found didn't say anything about tracking tracers, did they?"

Quint says, "No, they didn't"

Emvee says (to Sunny), "I know a couple fences in town who'd probably be willing to take the risk."

RoboAsher says, "So we should be good for now, but agreed we wanna sell or modify the vehicles."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "I'm going to roll Knowledge: Fences, to figure out how we can best profit from the vans and their contents."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "What TN do I want?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "4"

[shadowrun] GM says, "You quickly realize that Big Jim is just the guy to call"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "ha ha"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "all this time I've had Police Procedures 2"

Emvee dials Jim's number.

Big_Jim asks, "Hello?"

Emvee asks, "Hey, Jim. Y'know those Landrovers y'got?"

Big_Jim asks, "Yeah, you guys change your minds again?"

Emvee asks, "Would you be int'rested in finding a good home for a couple more, nicely equipped?"

Big_Jim asks, "I could manage that. I take it you're calling me this late since you want to sell them fast?"

Emvee says (to Jim), "It'd be convenient, yeah. Lemme put Sunny on to handle th'financials."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Since I just remembered I know nothing about negotiation."

Emvee gives her the sec.

Big_Jim says, "I've got a place in the docks where you can take them. Here's the address. We'll talk money after I look them over."

RoboAsher mikes, "Don't forget to mention who'll be looking for em."

Emvee says, "Thanks. Catch you then."

Big_Jim says, "No prob."

Emvee hangs up, and tells the others via radio about the plan.

TonyThum mikes, "We're going there? On my way."

RoboAsher says, "Or then again, 'mention' as in 'don't draw attention'."

Emvee says (to Asher, via mic), "Jim's prob'ly bright enough to read th' Fuchi serial numbers without our help, when he looks 'em over."

Emvee asks, "Should we call Carlos now, or after we get rid o' th' wheels?"

RoboAsher says, "Might as well now, since he won't be expecting a visit till tomorrow anyhow."

Sunny says, "Makes sense to me"

Quint asks, "Huh?"

TonyThum says, "he'll need one hour from the call, anyway"

Quint says, "He said after we called, he'd meet us in an hour."

Quint says, "So we shouldn't call unless we can be at the bar with the goods inside an hour."

RoboAsher says, "Oh yeah."

Quint says, "No sense making the man wait around for us."

TonyThum says, "You could load the other goods on a second bike and meet up with me"

[shadowrun] GM says (to Tony), "You don't have a second driver"

[shadowrun] TonyThum asks, "hm?"

[shadowrun] RoboAsher says, "well, we're all together right now"

[shadowrun] GM says, "Emvee can't drive the van, and he can't drive SUnny's bike, either."

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "ah. damng."

[shadowrun] GM says, "dwarf-modding a van isn't easy"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Stupid pedals way down there where's a brick onna string when you need it..."

GM says, "You arrive at the warehouse and Jim's people wave you to drive inside."

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "(for obvious reasons I really don't want to handle both boxes alone)"

Sunny drive drive vroom screech stop.

TonyThum putter putter.

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "On the other hand, Asher or Sunny can handle the rest of the transaction on the docks while the other three of us take the bikes and boxes."
