Asher eventually comes back into the house and sees how things are.

Asher says (to Emvee), "great, I see you've got everything under control here"

Asher goes downstairs hastily

Sunny says, "Someone's been jangling with bad magic"

TonyThum asks, "er. right. anyone want to help check Thorn's room?"

Sunny says, "Sure! I don't think he's going anywhere."

GM says, "Ice's room is pretty ordinary. A small bed, pinups on the wall (although one is an Ock, which is a bit odd). Nothing much else."

GM says, "Er, Ork"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "aw, here I thought he had Spiderman posters"

GM says, "Thorn's room is bare. There's a bed, and nothing else."

Emvee:finally feels Thurgun's heart start beating again through his trollish hide. He lets go, falling back against the wall with his eyes closed.

Asher says (over mike) "Nothin' in Ice's room -- I guess Thorn kept it all in his room, or his head"

TonyThum says (over mike), "nothing in Thorn's room, unless it's in the bed

Sunny says (via radio), "Yeah, Thorn's room is empty."

Emvee says, "I think 'e's gonna be OK."

Sunny hears Emvee out in the hall. "Great!"

TonyThum checks the bed anyway

[Crows-Nest] olethros says, "at least this time I was not overtaken by geriatric hikers"

GM says (to Tony), "Nothing."

Asher says (over mike) "Crap, they better be happy with this, after what happened to Thurgun"

Emvee asks, "Are we searchin' th'place now?"

Asher asks (of Emvee), "yeah -- you want to look at the BTLs upstairs?"

Emvee says, "Yeah, sounds good."

TonyThum says (over mike), "It's not like we don't have Ice"

ConfusedSkull walks out of his room. "Hey! What the hell!"

Asher says (to Tony), "good call"

TonyThum says (over mike), "And this mysterious 'master'"

Emvee says (to Skull), "Hey. Skulls're over."

Sunny points her rifle in Skull's face. "Time for you to find a new home. Scurry along, now."

ConfusedSkull asks, "Holy...you guys got Thorn?"

ConfusedSkull exclaims, "That's great! Thanks!"

Sunny lowers her rifle a bit. "Er, you're welcome?"

ConfusedSkull runs up the stairs and out the door, shouting "I'm free! I'm free!"

Emvee heads upstairs to search those rooms.

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Yeah, the storage rooms."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Also, is Thurgun ambulatory again?"

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "I was about to say someone should help me move Thurgun"

UpstairsGuard says, "So then, then Suzie says to me, she says, "I don't wanna touch that!""

[shadowrun] Asher says, "ha ha ha"

UpstairsGuard says, "And I say back, "Hey, it's my pet dog, it's not a killer!""

[shadowrun] Asher says, "I can see why they put these guys upstairs"

Emvee says (to Guard), "Hey. Show's over. Thorn's dead."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Yeah. Thurgun would've wanted it that way."

Emvee says, "Mmm, loot."

Emvee loads stuff into the car.

[shadowrun] TonyThum starts moving out the bodies to a safe distance

Asher helps people move out bodies and then stuff.

Asher says (to Sunny), "ok, I think it's your show"

Sunny says, "Hm dee hm, how to pull down this house without doing too much damage to the others against it."

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Any places we didn't check for stuff yet?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "you got it all"

Sunny wanders around and thinks about it for a bit before putting down some explosives and a timer.

Emvee goes to take a nap in the back of the car.

Asher relaxes next to Ice.

Asher says, "maybe we should wake him up for the show"

[shadowrun] GM says (to sunny), "when you're ready, roll your skill, TN 4"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Should I bother rolling for resting, while we wait for Ice to wake up?"

Asher says (to Hugo), "time to make tracks"

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "not now that the building has gone up"

RoboHugo waits for everyone to pile in and then tears off.

[shadowrun] Asher says, "if anyone would like to use Hugo's speakers to give a message to the crowds, now's the time"

Asher says (to Hugo), "let's find a side street to rest up for a bit -- don't wanna take this guy back to anyone's place, so we'll have to talk to him here"

RoboHugo pulls into an alleyway.

[shadowrun] Asher says, "so, ok, I guess we wait for Emvee to be feeling more rested, then we wake him up and get him to cast his spell, then we wake up Ice and interrogate him"

TonyThum says, "I...we did indeed."

Sunny says, "We just wanted to talk! He didn't seem much like talking, though."

[shadowrun] Asher says, "man, these guys get all whiny once Thorn is dead"

Ice says, "If I weren't tied up in the back of a car with a bunch of killers I'd think things were pretty good."

Sunny says, "Maybe you can help us out, though. It seems like no one liked Thorn, but everyone kept following him."

Ice says, "Thorn used to be a good guy. Good at leading the gang, keeping us together."

Ice says, "The new Thorn... he was different. Scary."

Sunny asks, "And how'd he get different? I thought he'd been cybered up, but that wasn't it, was it?"

Ice says, "He didn't care about anything. When he came back, one of the guys made a joke about taking over."

Ice says, "Thorn just backhanded him, and then his brains were all over the wall."

Ice asks, "It wasn't cyber?"

Ice says, "I dunno what happened."

Ice says, "He said he was off to meet a guy who could boost him."

Ice says, "And a week later, he came back."

Sunny asks, "Didn't say who, then?"

Ice says, "He kept offering, well, threatening, to take me there to have the same thing done."

Ice says, "I made sure I was useful the way I was."

Ice says, "I didn't want to know what happened, I just wanted to live."

Sunny asks, "How'd he pay for something like that?"

Ice says, "I dunno. We've always been doing okay, but not great."

Ice says, "But after he came back, the gang started doing new stuff."

Ice says, "I figured he was paying back whoever in services."

Sunny asks, "What kind of new stuff?"

Ice says, "We stopped pushing the drugs, started pushing BTLs."

Ice says, "We started really expanding territory, and selling there, too."

Ice says, "And he was really insistent about knocking over this one building. Said it had something he needed."

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "not back yet -- remember asking about the master"

Ice says, "We asked him what it was, but he wouldn't say. Just that he'd know it when he saw it."

[Crows-Nest] Emvee says, "And about the stuff the Shacker wanted to know."

Asher asks, "which building?"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "feel free to interject"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "timing"

Ice says, "It was this old boarded-up house, near that Stuffer Shack five blocks away."

Ice says, "We thought it was abandoned, but man, whoever was there had some firepower."

Asher asks, "we heard you made it pretty far in for thinking it was abandoned -- where'd you get the info on it?"

Ice says, "Thorn set that up. He told us where to hit, what to do."

Ice says, "He lead the attack himself. That's the only way we got inside."

[shadowrun] Asher says, "stupid dead guy"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "yeah, well"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Yeah. Guess we should've tried to stun him after all."

Ice says, "He was trying to get to one of the rooms on the top floor, but finally we took too much and I convinced him to pull back."

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "(I jest.)"

Asher asks, "did he say what was in the room?"

Ice says, "Naw. Just that he had to have it."

[shadowrun] TonyThum says, "(belated) sorry, it was him or me"

[Crows-Nest] Asher asks, "hmm, so what else do we need to know?"

[Crows-Nest] Sunny says, "sounds like we can't get much else from him"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee asks, "Do you think Lt. Fatigues would be content if we told him Thorn was behind it, and that he's dead?"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum says, "'Fatigues' sounds like a hispanic name"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "probably not"

[Crows-Nest] Emvee asks, "Also, hey, did Thorn use BTL before all this happened?"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says (to Emvee), "ask him"

[Crows-Nest] Asher says, "that is a good question"

[Crows-Nest] Sunny says, "ooh, yeah"

Sunny asks, "Did Thorn use BTLs before his surgery and you started selling them?"

Ice says, "BTLs? Nah, I never saw him do that."

Ice says, "He pretty much kept clean. Set a good example for the guys, before."

[Crows-Nest] Emvee asks, "Also, did these BTL's match the ones K gave us?"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "so let's cut him loose, tell khaki what we found out, and offer to sell him thorn's body on account of how interesting it is"

[shadowrun] Asher asks, "hmm, you don't want to hand him over to SK?"

[shadowrun] Emvee says (to Sunny), "That sounds reasonable. Unless you think he can get you any more leads on the Master or on where he got the mods."

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "sounds like Thorn had the only info"

[shadowrun] Ice says (to Emvee), "They are the same BTLs"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "We could offer to hook SK and Ice up for a broker's fee."

[shadowrun] Asher says, "yeah, but it seems like they'd rather get that info from him"

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "hm, fair enough"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Ask Ice if he wants to turn corp's evidence, and the corp if they want to buy his help."

Sunny steps out of the van to call their contact.

GM says, "No answer."

[shadowrun] Asher says, "also, crap"

[shadowrun] Asher says, "dammit, we really need to start getting some in advance"

[shadowrun] TonyThum coughs.

[shadowrun] GM asks (of Emvee), "you never looked at the other side?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "Thorn has four arm"

[shadowrun] GM says, "arms"

[shadowrun] Asher says, "ha ha"

Sunny re-enters the van. "I think we may have had a visit from Charlie Foxtrot. Hugo, let's head back to the shack."

RoboHugo says, "On it."

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "I feel really stupid because I normally try to ask for money in advance"

[shadowrun] Emvee says (to Emvee), "I was a bit busy keeping Thurgun from being dead to count."

[shadowrun] GM says, "heh"

[Crows-Nest] TonyThum runs after Sunny. "he has FOUR arms! Add another 5K!"

[Crows-Nest] Sunny says, "hee hee"

Emvee asks, "Who?"

RoboHugo says, "Here we are. I'll stay with the car and the stiffs."

Asher opens the closet and peeks in.

Sunny draws her pistol and backs Asher up.

GM says, "Nothing in except the ladder."

GM says, "You don't remember it being this dark down there before, though."

Asher says, "here goes"

Asher climbs down.

GM says, "You climb down. All the lights are out."

Asher keeps Tony posted via radio too, in case we don't make it out.

Sunny follows Asher.

[shadowrun] Asher says, "taking secret passage back to their HQ"

Asher says, "I was going to get a better bike"

Asher opens door and looks through.

GM says, "The door opens about an inch and stops."

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "where they are working on recipes with *10* secret herbs and spices"

Asher says, "hmm"

GM says, "Feels like it hit something soft."

Asher plays flashlight downwards.

GM says, "It's Standish. Lying on the floor. Which is now painted red."

GM says, "Except that isn't paint."

Sunny says, "Ew."

Sunny says, "I hope he had the money in his pockets."

Asher says (via mike and out loud) "Crap."

[shadowrun] GM asks, "Okay, anyone mind if we shorten this up?"

GM says, "Looks like someone made a hole in the walls from the next building over, on the first and second floor simultaneously."

[shadowrun] GM says, "right"

Sunny says, "Wow. This is very much not good."

Sunny says, "I wonder if Kreiger did much background research on us."

Sunny says, "I really hope not."

GM says, "Looking at the holes, you notice lots of concrete and rebar and steel plates, all torn through."

GM says, "Stuff has been tossed all over the floor."

Asher says, "jeezus"

GM says, "The third floor is the worst, it's a complete mess, bodies everywhere."

Asher says, "the good news is we get to see what's on the third floor, the bad news is it's dead guys"

GM says, "You find the biggest office in the second floor, which has a nameplate saying KREIGER."

GM says, "In the desk there's a credstick with 10,000 Y on it."

Sunny says, "They did a number on this place, whoever 'they' is."

GM says, "You don't find anything else."

[shadowrun] Sunny says, "can credsticks be traced? I smell bait."

Asher says (via mike) "I guess we get our half in advance after all"

[shadowrun] GM says, "it's the usual certified kind"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks (of GM), "Stuff we can resell?"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "(I mean, they're already dead...)"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Mmm. But it wouldn't have automatically failed, for him being auraless?"

[shadowrun] Emvee says, "Hee."

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "It would have had a chance."

[shadowrun] GM says, "I've given enough clues earlier on for people to start guessing what Thorn was and what's going on"

[shadowrun] Emvee asks, "Oh, and do we need to pay monthly expenses yet?"

[shadowrun] GM says, "so I don't want to say too much more just now"

[shadowrun] GM says (to Emvee), "between this and the next run, yes"

[shadowrun] Asher says (to Emvee), "good point"
