Thurgun was taught to be a Shaman by his India-Indian parents, who came from a modified Hindu tradition that emphasized Reincarnation. They believe that when you die, you pass through the Astral Plane before being reincarnated, and that you leave behind an 'echo' of that past life. If you ar particularly tuned into the Astral world, you can summon your own past-life echoes as Spirits of Man. Instead of taking on an aspect of an animal Totem when performing magic, they instead take on an aspect either of a past incarnation (particularly likely when summoning an echo of that incarnation), or of a skeleton or mummified body. Advantages: +2 dice for Health spells, +2 dice for Spirits of Man Disadvantage: Thurgun can perform a ritual for the dead that hastens their soul's trip through the Astral plane to reincarnation, and ensures that the echo they leave behind is more whole and intact than usually happens. When someone dies in his presence, he will want to perform this ritual for them. Should Thurgun himself kill someone, he *must* perform this ritual, or lose his bonus dice (above) until he does so. (Though this loss of bonuses does not prevent him (as a Shamanic mage) from casting these spells or summoning those spirits at all.) (The ritual is an exclusive complex action, and he has to use a special expendable fetish in the ritual.)
