SURPRISE ROUND

  Gargoyle rushes into the corridor.

ROUND 1

  Paulie (23) hastes Crumbly, Elgran, Wolf, Finn, and Grog.
  Wolf (19) bites for no damage and fails to trip.
  Finn (16) delays.
  Crumbly (15) tries to tumble through the gargoyle and fails,
    taking an AoO of 16.  His second tumble attempt succeeds.
  Rosie (15) tumbles through the gargoyle and misses.
  Clem (14) casts Spiritual Weapon, which hits for 14.
  Elgran (11) attacks a lot with his quarterstaff, hitting once
    for 16.
  Grog (9) delays.
  Kong (9) delays.
  Gargoyle (8) kills Crumbly with 63 damage and cleaves Rosie
    for 17, then bites for 11 and gores for 17.
  Finn (now 7) casts Dispel Magic on the gargoyle's collar,
    which doesn't do anything.
  Grog (now 7) drinks his Elixir of Fire Breath and moves up.
  Kong (now 7) moves up beside Grog.

ROUND 2

  Paulie fires an Acid Arrow, which hits for 6, and retreats out
    of the corridor.
  Wolf withdraws.
  Rosie misses with all her unarmed attacks.
  Clem's spiritual weapon hits for 5, and Clem casts Divine Favor.
  Elgran attacks a lot, hitting once for 4.
  Gargoyle drops Rosie, and Cleaves over to Elgran, drops him, and
    Great Cleaves over to Grog, doing 17 damage.
  Finn casts Call Lightning and does 11 damage.
  Grog flies into a rage and attacks, doing 14 and 18 damage,
    then breathes fire for 8 damage.
  Kong leans forward to pick up Elgran, getting hit by an AoO for 19,
    and retreats.

ROUND 3

  Paulie delays.
  Wolf delays.
  Rosie bleeds.
  Clem's spiritual weapon hits for 7.  Clem casts Cure Critical
    Wounds on Elgran, healing him for 24.
  Elgran fires an arrow and misses.
  Paulie's acid arrow does 7 more damage.  Paulie pulls out a
    rope and casts Animate Rope on it.
  Gargoyle drops Grog with a full attack and advances 5 feet.
  Finn calls another lightning bolt, doing 3 damage, and backs out
    of the corridor.
  Grog bleeds.
  Kong passes.
  Wolf passes.

ROUND 4

  Rosie bleeds.
  Clem's spiritual weapon hits for 14.  Clem casts Shield of Faith
    on himself and charges up to the gargoyle.
  Elgran takes a step back and fires arrows, hitting but doing no
    damage.
  Paulie's acid arrow does 5 more damage.  Paulie throws his animated
    rope at the gargoyle, entangling it.
  Gargoyle rips through the rope and steps back.
  Finn calls a lightning bolt for 6 damage.
  Grog bleeds.
  Kong steps forward and picks up Grog, getting hit by an AoO for 15.
  Wolf passes.

ROUND 5

  Rosie bleeds.
  Clem delays.
  Elgran fires arrows, hitting but doing no damage.
  Paulie fires another acid arrow, hitting for 7.
  Clem's spiritual weapon misses.  Clem takes a full attack and hits
    for 7.
  Gargoyle drops Clem and kills Kong.
  Finn calls a lightning bolt for 12 damage.
  Grog bleeds.
  Wolf passes.

ROUND 6

  Rosie bleeds.
  Elgran steps up to Grog and feeds him a potion of Cure Light Wounds,
    bringing him up to 0.
  Paulie's acid arrow hits for 6.  He fires another acid arrow which
    hits for 5.
  Clem's spiritual weapon hits for 9, and Clem delays.
  Gargoyle kills Elgran.
  Finn calls a lightning bolt for 6 damage.
  Clem casts Mass Cure Light Wounds, bringing himself positive and
    reviving Rosie and Grog.
  Grog gets up and hits the gargoyle for 14, killing it.
