Alixandre has connected.
Alixandre says, "good afternoon"
[ussura] Raelynn says (to Alix), "you remembered us!"
[ussura] GM exclaims, "Yay!"
[ussura] GM asks, "Oh, I have one bit of business before we go on--I forgot to mention that the large swath of cloth with the spot of blood on it was too bulky to carry up the cliff--did you want to do anything with it?"
[ussura] Era says, "'Allo Alix"
[ussura] Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "uh, if some burly italian guys in suits knock on your door, tell them I said never mind"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I apologize for the delay, but a small Alixandre delayed me"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "yay alix"
[ussura] Charles asks (of GM), "Tie a rope to it?"
[ussura] Pyotr asks (of gm), "Um, I guess we hid it somewhere?"
[ussura] GM says, "You could stash it at the base of the cliff, yes."

[ussura] GM asks, "Other than that--Alix, are you caught up with events?"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "we went cliff climbing and got hurt for our troubles"

[ussura] (from Charles) Alixandre says, "I seem to be fairly uninjured though, due to my amazing climbing skills"

[ussura] GM says, "You're still carrying your >INVENTORY from last time, with the aforementioned exception of the velvet."
[ussura] GM says, "And, you're catching your breath in a back room in the palace."
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "is the door open or closed?"
[ussura] GM asks, "And speaking of dramatic wounds, who has which?"
[ussura] GM says, "Open."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "I have a bruised shoulder (1 wound)"
[ussura] Charles says, "I've got three."
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i've got one dramatic, an achy head"
[ussura] GM says (to Pyotr), "And if memory serves, you had just made a successful tracking roll."
[ussura] Pyotr says (to gm), "yeah, I was gonna follow up on that"
[ussura] Charles says, "(Unless I got healed at some point and forgot to mark it down.)"
[ussura] GM says (to Charles), "Any injuries pre-cliff we can say were healed."
[ussura] GM says, "By Yin if nobody else."
[ussura] (from Pyotr) GM says, "You'll need it."
[ussura] GM says, "Hee hee"
[ussura] Charles exclaims, "Woo!"
Pyotr sticks his head into the hall, looking for people and tracks.
[ussura] Charles says, "I've got to remember to thank Yin profusely later on."
[ussura] GM says, "I will note that last session I suddenly remembered that I could spend drama dice."
Pyotr says, "Hmm, I think they went this way."
[ussura] GM asks (of Charles), "Leaving you with just one? Or two?"
Alixandre brushes himself off.
[ussura] Charles says, "I was worried I'd be spending all my drama dice staving off the last crippling wound."
[ussura] Charles says (to GM), "Just one. My erstwhile hand."
Alixandre says, "This is not dirt, it is some pernicious substance that bonds to cloth."
[ussura] GM says, "Being crippled just means your dice don't esplode any more."
[ussura] GM says, "(with the exception of drama dice)"
[ussura] GM says, "But, right."
Sebastien says, "in that case, it seems like we should proceed in that direction"
Pyotr leads the way down the hall, stealthy-like
Charles follows Pyotr, since he seems to know where he's going.
Alixandre says (to Sebastien), "once more we are forced to skulk about instead of being announced. This is a troubling trend."
Sebastien comes along also, looking around with interest at the walls as he passes.
Alixandre follows along.
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "next time I will be sure to bring a more suitable letter of introduction"
Pyotr asks (of Era), "Can you fly ahead a bit?"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "Era is still a hawk, right?"
Era flies ahead of the pary, only slightly troubled by the confines of the hallway.
Charles says (to the fops), "If you keep long enough with us, you'll probably get used to it."

Charles . o O ( I wonder if that was *too* mean. )
GM says, "The castle is quiet, and Pyotr leads you down a hallway, through a room, out the back door, and up a staircase. You open a door at the top, and enter a sitting room, whose door to its hallway is closed. Pyotr does a double take, and looks around. "Uh, the tracks have stopped!""
Pyotr says, "That's odd, we were going strong."
Pyotr says, "Everyone spread out and see if you notice anything."
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "any windows?"
[ussura] GM says, "Hmm, let me whip up a ASCII map."
Sebastien says, "perhaps this is where Fleur chose to transport herself"
[ussura] Alixandre asks, "what all is in the room?"

Sebastien says, "though I did not think she would be able to transport them both"
Alixandre says, "Pity we cannot smell sorcery in action"

Era abligingly flies out the window to check the upper rooms.

GM says (to Era), "The castle around here is well-maintained--there's a tower above you, and a few other floors. It's hard to see in the windows, since the firewall is reflected in each."

Raelynn says, "i got no practical skills that's useful here"
Charles says (to Others), "There doesn't seem to be much activity elsewhere on this floor."
Charles asks (of Pyotr), "Do you have any idea where in particular in the room the trail stopped?"
GM says (to Pyotr), "The tracks just stop right at the top of the stairs. Up until then, you'd been following scuff marks, tracked dirt and glass, etc."
Raelynn says, "if they've really ported, then we should just leave - they aren't going to hang around here"
Pyotr says (to Charles), "Ends right at the top of th stairs. I don't know if they came in here at all."
Charles looks for secret passages at the top of the stairs.
Era continues her fly-by, looking for detail. Also, keeping a very sharp eye out for archers and things.

Era tries another angle on the windows, attempting to minimize firewall-glare.

Sebastien whistles idly and watches everyone else work with approval.
Sebastien asks, "a brick? how strange?"
Charles touches the brick.
Sebastien comes over to look

GM says, "Era, meanwhile, begins a methodical search of the windows, sweeping by each closely, looking in.""
GM says (to Charles), "It feels like a brick."
Sebastien says (to Pyotr), "I believe we have located something"
Charles pushes the brick.
Sebastien says (to Pytor), "a brick, to be specific"
Pyotr heads back up.
(From GM) whirr whirr
GM says, "And at Charles' push, a section of the wall on the north end of the staircase slides away."
Charles says, "Mmm."
Charles heads on it.
Sebastien says, "why, it's just like being back in a palace in Montaigne"
Alixandre says, "Only with poorer masonry"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "yay useless me found something"
Alixandre follows Charles into the passage.
[ussura] Pyotr says, "and you thought you had no good skills"
GM says (to charles), "There's another staircase beyond, which goes straight up."
Sebastien goes after Alixandre.
Raelynn follows
Sebastien says, "well, I imagine their secret passages get less traffic here"
Charles goes up.
Pyotr goes to the window and waves to Era
Raelynn asks, "should we wedge this door so that it doesn't accidentally close behind us?"
Sebastien says, "oh, I'm sure they got out somehow at the other end"
GM says (to Era), "You see nothing odd in the windows, but the window to the room at the base of the tower above you seems to have been covered up from the inside. Normally, you'd just assume they were curtains, but no other window you've looked in has had any curtains at all."
Era notices Pyotr's wave, and glides through the window.
Sebastien says, "although that does remind me of a funny story about this noble who used a particular passage to arrange his assignations, and one day his wife found out and changed the lock on the other end"
Pyotr says (to Era), "We found the way up, let's go"
Pyotr hurries back to the new stairway.
Alixandre asks (of Sebastien), "Really? Do you know the name of the unfortunate man?"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "any loose rocks or anything? i still want to wedge this door open"
[ussura] Charles says, "I think there was one brick that was loose."
[ussura] Raelynn says (to charles), "that's what we opened the door with, i thought"
Era wavers back to human form.
[ussura] Charles says, "(Actually, you could possibly wedge sometihng in there to keep the brick from sliding back.)"
[ussura] GM says (to Raelynn), "You can grab a chair or a cushion. Or the lamp/table/something."
[ussura] Charles says (to Rae), "Yeah, I was kidding."
Raelynn goes back out, grabs the chair, and drags it to the stairway, leaves it sort of wedged in the door
Raelynn says, "there. it may not do much, but I feel better"
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "the Count d'Adrien, I believe -- I don't think he goes out in public any more"
Era pauses to re-orient for a moment, then follows the group up the stairs.
Era asks (of Charles), "May I have my pack back, please?"
GM says, "Meanwhile, you all hurry up the stairs."
Pyotr says (to Raelynn), "Good job finding this."
Charles says (to Era), "Oh, of course."
Raelynn grabs the lamp, just in case (don't ask)
GM says, "And at the top is a closed door."
Charles says, "Here you are -- half of the contents have been transferred to Pyotr's, though."
[ussura] GM says, "Yay ;-)"
Pyotr says, "Can we sort it out later? We need to catch up quickly"
Charles opens the door, or makes a valiant effort to do so.
GM says (to Charles), "Push, grrk. pushpushpush grrk. It opens away from you, but you seem to be having trouble getting it open."
Pyotr lends a shoulder to the process.
[ussura] GM exclaims, "Brawn check!"
Charles says, "Thanks -- gnrrr."

GM says, "Charles and Pyotr stumble in the room, barely managing to not trip over a large chest of drawers that's just landed in the center of the room. A guy you don't recognize is fallen over, the chest on his foot."
Gunther disappears through an invisible gap in the MUD. You think you may have heard the sounds of chatting before the gap closed again.
[ussura] GM says, "--more--"
GM says, "The room is spartan, but elegantly appointed, with the few pieces of furniture therein obviously very comfortable and beautiful. The (other) door to the room sways open, and two guards in palace livery lie dead beside it."
[ussura] GM says, "--more--"
[ussura] Charles frantically jabs the space bar.
[ussura] Sebastien says (to Charles), "careful you don't hit it too many times and rest through the first few rounds of combat"
[ussura] Charles says, "I keep rest_on_space turned off just for that reason."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "hee hee"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "ha"
GM says, "On the other side of the room stands Devoe, holding an unconcious woman some of you recognize as Tamara Rissanova--and for those who don't recognize her, her resemblance to Dauntania is striking. He holds a dagger to her throat, and is grinning. By the window is Fleur and another man you don't recognize, trying to cover the window with a large amount of black velvet cloth. It's somewhat ripped, so they're having a hard go of it. Four other men stand in the room, swords drawn."
[ussura] GM says, "(whew)"
Devoe says, "That's far enough."
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "do I see any lamps in the room?"
Alixandre murmurs, "Oh dear. I fear not even our vaunted diplomacy will suffice."
Charles almost charges across the room, but sees the dagger.
[ussura] GM says, "There's a single lamp on the bedside table."
Sebastien says, "I would hate to admit the dominance of the sword over the pen, even at this juncture"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "how close is that table?"
Charles mutters (quietly, to Raelynn), "Get that lamp lit."
Raelynn hides behind Pyotr's big back and lights the lamp
Charles says, "Edumund Devoe, I presume."
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "raelynn has a lamp?"
[interludes] GM exclaims (at Era), "Wait a second--the man standing next to Devoe--it's Emet, your brother!"
[ussura] Era says, "yeah, she grabbed it in the last room"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i grabbed it from the room below before coming up. i said, don't ask :)"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "she grabbed one when we entered the secret passage"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "ha ha"
[interludes] GM says, "(one of them ;-)"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "okay"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i envisioned using it for a club or something i guess"
Era exclaims, "Emet!!"
Era exclaims, "Oh!"
Sebastien asks, "Edmund Devoe? Why, just the man we wanted to see -- Alixandre, do you have the treaty or do I?"
Devoe says, "Indeed."
Alixandre says, "Ah, yes! One moment."
Charles says, "We have things to discuss."
Pyotr stage-whispers (to Raelynn), "Tell me when it's ready"
Alixandre pats his clothing, rummages about, and eventually produces a somewhat travel-stained document.
Sebastien says, "oh dear -- I am afraid with the paper in this condition he will think us quite disreputable"
Alixandre says, "It may have taken a wolf bite at some point in our journey."
Devoe says, "You can just stay over there."
Alixandre peers at it. "Or an indirect rock strike."
Devoe asks (of Era), "Emet?"
Devoe peers at you intently.
[ussura] Raelynn asks (of gm), "i assume i have no trouble lighting it?"
[ussura] GM says, "Yeah, just a sec."
[ussura] Raelynn says, "if i do, i have a solution, so it's okay"
Charles says, "You once served under a Captain Lavache."
Era asks (of GM), "How athletic does Devoe look?"
man standing behind Devoe's eyes go wide at Era's declaration, and he makes a patting motion quickly before resuming his stance.
[ussura] Raelynn says (to charles), "no no. you are supposed to say, My name is ..., You klled my father, Prepare to Die. you are starting off wrong!"
Devoe says (to Charles), "Lavach! A great man."
Era has a coughing fit.
[ussura] Devoe says, "Er, 'Lavache'."
Devoe says, "Emeril, go get this treaty they're talking about."
[Crows-Nest] (from Alixandre) Emeril says, "Bam! Give me that treaty!"
Charles says (to Devoe), "I would very much like to meet him myself. I had hoped you might know where he is these days."
[ussura] Charles exclaims (at Raelynn), "I can't kill him yet: he's the man who might *know* where to find the man who killed my father!"
Alixandre says (to Devoe), "With your permission, I would prefer to hand it to you directly. Seeing as how we were to report to you, well, directly."
Alixandre smiles winningly.
Emeril (the same guy who blanched at Era's declaration), walks forward and nods to Sebastien and Alixandre.
Era mutters something in Fhideli about the black crow landing behind the shed.
Devoe shrugs. (to Charles), "Bayeux, last I heard. Not that you'll be able to do much with that information."
Charles asks, "Why is that?"
Emeril looks sharply at Era.
Devoe asks (of Fleur), "Got that up yet? What's taking so long?"
Fleur says, "It's ripped, like I said! Sheesh.""
Sebastien says, "I am afraid the velvet seems to be a trifle ripped -- I would be happy to assist, if you like"
Sebastien says, "I am known around the palace as a dab hand with a needle, if I do say so myself"
Raelynn taps Pyotr and Chrles on their shoulders to indicate that the lamp is lit (assuming no trouble)
Alixandre says, "I can vouch for him. Why, his skill with darning has saved more than one tricky diplomatic situation."
Pyotr nods, then takes a deep breath.
Sebastien exclaims (at Alixandre), "such language! there are ladies present!"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "this is your official Pyotr Causing Ruckus Alarm, this alarm will not be repeated"
Devoe says, "I'll have you all just stay there, or I press this into her throat. The prophecy didn't say *how* dark it had to be, after all. It might be dark enough already."
Emeril nods to you, turns to walk back to Devoe.
Sebastien glances at Alixandre and at the window.
Alixandre says (to Sebastien), "You have a very good point. My apologies, all."
Emeril says, "They're not actually Montaignian, sir, I don't know what they hope to accomplish--"
Charles asks (of Devoe), "Bayeux, you say?"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "mrm, mrm, mrm"
Sebastien exclaims (at Emeril), "I certainly hope you are not insinuating we are not fully accredited members of the diplomatic corps!"
Sebastien steps forward angrily. "Why, I've pulled a man's nose for less!"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "how far is the window?"
Emeril's sword is out in a flash.
Alixandre hastens to calm Sebastien. "I am sure he is only being overly cautious. We neglected to present our credentials, after all."
Alixandre eyes the sword. "And those credentials will be much harder to read if they are bloodstained."
Pyotr exclaims (at Emeril), "Hey! Don't threaten us!"

[ussura] GM says, "Pyotr wants to throw his axe out the window."
[ussura] Pyotr says (to gm), "throw axe through velvet and window"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "the basic goal being to further ruin the velvet"

[ussura] Charles says, "I want to throw a knife at Devoe's dagger arm. Preferably while he's distracted."
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I will have taken the contretemps with Sebastien as a fine opportunity to have my knife at the ready but not readily visible. But since everyone will be going for Devoe at this point, I believe I will throw myself forward to save the girl."
[ussura] Alixandre asks (of Charles), "not his eye?"
[ussura] GM asks (of Raelynn), "You want to hold up your lamp, or some such?"
[ussura] Charles says (to Alix), "If he's already got the dagger to her neck, I dunno that he needs his eyes to use it."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "given that this appears to be the ending fight, I'm going to spend my story die to trip Emeril backwards into the other random guards"
[ussura] Alixandre says (to Charles), "I know getting a dagger in my eye would keep me from using my own dagger"
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "oh. they never took the lamp away, did they? I guess I will just hang on to the lamp. can magic intensify the light?"

Charles grabs one of the knives from his belt and licks it across the room in the blink of an eye.

[ussura] Alixandre says, "ew, now he'll be wounded and poisoned"
[ussura] Era says, "don't say that when I have milk in my mouth."

GM says, "Pyotr starts the action by throw his huge axe at the window. **CRASH** Fleur starts back as the entire roll of cloth (and a substantial amount of glass) fly out the window and tumble down the cliff. The firewall choses that moment to flare, and the light shines into the room as if it was day."
Pyotr exclaims, "Ha!"
GM says, "Those that flinch and turn around away from that light are met by an equally blinding light, as Raelynn holds aloft her lamp, which pulses a sharp flash of light before settling down to merely blinding."
GM says, "Charles' dagger completes its traversal of the room, stabbing Devoe in the center of his palm, and pinning his hand to the chair behind him."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "man, we are great"
Charles says, "Now maybe you'll have time to talk."
[ussura] Sebastien exclaims, "the heroes are always awesome in the last scene of the movie!"
[ussura] Pyotr says (to seb), "I haven't seen _you_ do anything yet"
GM says, "Sebastien kicks Emeril in the shins, just as Emeril was shying away from the light, and he falls into two of his companions, neatly skewering one on the way, in a manner that seems almost...intentional."

[ussura] GM says, "Hee timing"
Sebastien exclaims, "pardon me!"
GM says, "Era launches herself across the room at Devoe with an unearthly how. As Emeril falls, he cries, "Era! Here!" and makes a odd motion with his hand."
GM says, "From the end of Emeril's hand, the dust motes in the new light *twist*, right into Era's path."
GM says, "And Era's howl turns into the screetch of a cat, as she lands on Devoe's head, crying and yowling."
[ussura] Charles says, "If everyone but Devoe didn't already know that Emeril was secretly a good guy in disguise, I'd be worried about that."
GM says, "Tamara falls from Devoe's arms, but is prevented from a nasty lump on her head by Alixandre, who dives across the room, and catches her in his arms."

[ussura] Era exclaims, "yay, Alix!"

[ussura] Raelynn asks, "what's Fleur's friend doing in the middle of all this?"

[ussura] Alixandre says, "now I truly must be careful not to trip over her"
GM yanks the knife out from his hand, and swipes at the cat on his head with his sword.

[ussura] Alixandre exclaims (at Sebastien), "one for each shin!"
[ussura] Charles says, "If no one else is acting first, I guess I will. Knifing again, with a raise."
[ussura] Era says, "GM is on the phone with his parents - he'll be back in a sec."
[ussura] Charles says, "OK, I'll roll when he comes back."
[ussura] GM says, "There we go, sorry."
[ussura] Charles asks (of GM), "Does Devoe go first?"
[ussura] Era says, "We're arranging the borrowing of a lawn mower, because if we don't, we'll soon have a jungle rather than a lawn. ;-)"
Devoe growls, grabs the chair near him, and swings it over his head in an attempt to get Era off him.

Alixandre shrieks and dives into the rift, eyes shut.

GM says, "And with that, Devoe, too disappears into the portal."
Pyotr kicks a wall in frustration.
[ussura] Alixandre says, "if you listen, you might hear a 'peck peck peck' sound coming from the portal"
Charles gets to the window a moment too late.
[ussura] Alixandre says, "(afk for bathing)"
GM says, "The portal itself roils and bleeds for a while. Much longer, Raelynn, than you're used to. Era circles around it, cawing in frustration."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "hmm"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "steering for the non-Fleur people is going to be a problem, I expect"
[ussura] Charles says, "I was hoping Devoe would need another phase to catch up with Fleur. Oh well."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "rae asks "Can I use my porte to tell where it goes?""
[ussura] Pyotr says, "(she is cooking dinner now)"
[ussura] Charles says, "So that I could grab Raelynn's knife and throw it at Devoe."
[ussura] GM says, "You can have done that, but the portal was a ways away."

Pyotr says, "They might have gone back to their camp."

GM says, "Just as Devoe plummets into the portal, Raelynn's knife plummets in behind him."
Charles grabbed Raelynn's blooded knife and rushed to the window. Just before Devoe slipped into the roiling abyss, Charles flung the knife into the air. It embedded itself into his leg just as he disappeared.
GM says, "(the the roiling, etc)"
[ussura] Charles exclaims, "Hey, that's my monologue, GM!"
[ussura] GM says, "Oops, sorry."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "hee hee"
[ussura] Sebastien asks, "oh, her blooded knife? tricky?"

Raelynn cries out in dismay.
Raelynn says (to Charles), "I can't track that dagger unless I am within 100 feet!"
GM says, "After it roils for a while, it finally starts to close. Is it your imagination, or is something coming out again? And then it's closed. Something like a stick falls from it towards the ground."
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "also, what is it with sarge and his rpg "deaths"? nobilis, and then this?"
[ussura] Era takes the hint, and dives for the stick.
Era stoops on the stick.
Charles, focussed on the scene vanishing in front of him, barely hears Raelynn speaking.
Era snatches the stick, rescuing it from falling to certain death, and hauls it back to the scooby-gang.
GM says, "It turns out that the stick is 3 feet long, bent in the center, and kind of--hairy. Also, it's dripping green out of one end."
[ussura] Charles exclaims, "Ha!"
[ussura] Charles says, "Thank you, Matushka."
[ussura] Sebastien asks, "er, what?"
[ussura] Charles says, "Well, OK, I could be wrong. I'll wait and see."
Sebastien asks, "what on earth is that? and what happened to Alixandre?"
[ussura] GM says, "And that is about it--do you want a wrap-up now, or later? I can summarize if you like."
[ussura] Charles says, "I'm fine either way, so long as 'later' isn't too much later."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "I have time now to keep going"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "we can wrap-up now as long as it's not involved enough to distract from dinner"
[ussura] GM says, "Oh, right--I almost forgot."
Emet asks (of Sebastien), "Do you still have that treaty?"
Sebastien says, "well, yes, I believe so"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "good question. I probably left it with you"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "before I threw myself to an almost certain story"
Sebastien says, "but I am afraid that with Devoe no longer here the diplomatic situation may have changed slightly"

[ussura] GM says, "Hee hee"
Sebastien says, "I think I may be the ranking Montaigne diplomat in ussura"
Emet says, "No, no--there's no way Devoe would have signed such a thing. It was a coded message from Dauntania to me."
Sebastien exclaims, "my goodness gracious!"
Sebastien hands over the treaty.
Emet says, "But Devoe left before I got to tell her about his change of plans, so I never got it."
Sebastien says, "no doubt this is a lesson to me to read treaties in the future"
Emet takes the treaty, scans it.
Emet says, "There are people like me, in the army outside the city, prepared to defect if they get the right signal--Ah, here we go."
Era mantles over her stick, repulsive though it is.
[ussura] Charles asks, "Does Era bring it in?"
[ussura] GM says, "She did, yeah."
[ussura] Charles asks, "Does it look like a limb from a giant alien cockroach?"
[ussura] GM says, "Now that you mention it, it does indeed."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "ah"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "ew"
[ussura] Alixandre asks, "eh?"
Emet says, "Is the attack going on right now? Dreng had it planned that way..."
Charles says, "I suppose it's now Alixandre's turn to see what he missed out on."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "one of the egg scenes had us in some kind of alternate timeline fighting aliens"
Pyotr says, "Maybe we'll have run into him."
[ussura] Alixandre says, "oh ah that"
[ussura] Era says, "so now Fleur has met up with the aliens? great."
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I must confess things are tangly enough for me to have trouble keeping track of them all"
Sebastien looks out the window to see if he can see the troops.
Pyotr says (to Emet), "It sounded like a fight when we came up the cliff."
Emet asks (of Era), "Hey, sis. Can you fly over to the captain of the guard and tell him to yell, "From Sud'ya to Sredbirskyoye"?"
Sebastien asks, "*sis*?"
Sebastien says, "goodness gracious"
Era asks (of Emet), "No problem, bro. And exactly who got your hackles up over all this?"
Charles stifles a yawn.
[ussura] Charles says, "If she weren't Ussura, she probably couldn't even *pronounce* that."

[ussura] Alixandre says, "like, do we know enough that Sebastien and I want Devoe dead? He is supposed to be my boss"
Era exclaims (at Emet), "No doubt we'll have a nice warm slobbery family reunion hunt in the woods later. I'm off!"
GM says (to Emet), "(in animal-speak) "Dauntania sent me.""
GM says, "And Era flies out the window yet again."
[ussura] Charles says (to Alix), "He did try to get your nation embroiled in an unjust war. On the other hand, so did your Emperor."
Emet says (to Sebastien), "My thanks for delivering the treaty."
[ussura] Alixandre says, "yeah"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "poor hierophant"
[ussura] Charles says, "Possibly it's time that you and Seb realized that Montaignes are all intrinsically evil."
Emet says (to Charles), "I believe you mentioned a Lavache? I heard something of him in my times with Devoe."
Charles glances around, hoping Raelynn didn't hear that.
Charles asks (of Emet), "Y... yes?"

Charles asks (of Emet), "You know something?"

Emet nods gravely. "Indeed I would be glad to tell you, when we have the time."

Nothing seems to happen at first, but then front line wavers, and the tide of the battle turns as several of the ones fighting against the city start fighting for it."

[ussura] GM says, "Actually, Emet confirms that, to the extent of his knowledge of her conversations with Devoe he was privvy to."
[ussura] GM says, "Palech, once you meet him again, shows you the scar in his abdomen from when he 'died' as a young man on his first journey to the Thrice-Tenth Kingdom."

[ussura] GM says, "Pyotr retreives his axe from a pile of cloth and glass. Then he runs away as the firewall suddenly moves closer. A fused pile of ash and glass is all that remains."

[ussura] Charles asks, "Did Yin translate the text on the disc?"
