[ussura] GM OK, so:
GM | The story so far: GM | GM | Charles is on the trail of the Montaignian noble Edmund Devoe, with GM | Louis (a man once saved by his father) in tow. Era is helping Raelynn GM | escape Gerard, a different Montaignian noble, who is getting her mixed GM | up with Fleur, his daughter. Pyotr's troubled past had caught up with GM | him again, and is just glad to have a group of old friends to travel GM | with. Alixandre and Sebastien are mid-level Montaignian diplomats the GM | group met in Sredbirskyoye, who were supposed to report to Devoe, but GM | found him missing when they arrived in town. GM | The group discovered that Marceau, one of Devoe's entourage, had GM | stayed behind to try to throw people off Devoe's trail. Tired of the GM | cold and the backwardness of the Ussurans, he revealed that Devoe was GM | off trying to stir up trouble by freeing Dreng Rissanova, brother to the GM | current Knias of the Gallenia province, and would-be usurper of the GM | throne, exiled to a Sud'ya monastery after his failed coup five years GM | ago. GM | Fleur showed up on the run from Sredbirskyoye guards, and since people GM | thought she was Raelynn, the guards are now after the group, too, GM | especially that madman Pyotr. Marceau headed off with Fleur before the GM | group figured out what was happening, but So, with somewhat mixed motives, the PCs GM | all head off to the L'viv monastery to see if they can catch up with GM | Devoe. GM | After trekking several days into the mountains and climbing a cliff,
[ussura] Charles says, "This seemed to work well. At least at first."
GM | they find the monastery, and are greeted by Katya, who gives you all a GM | blank stare at the name 'Devoe' and a frown at the name 'Dreng': "There GM | whereabouts of Dreng Rissanova are not generally known. He failed in his GM | coup, and was exiled. That is all." After some 'ha ha, our mistake' on GM | the group's part, you were invited to the evening meal in the commons, GM | and to stay as long as you liked.
[ussura] Charles says, "(Er, Ilawindow.)"
[ussura] * Tyoka has joined the channel.
[ussura] GM asks, "Any recap-type questions?"
[ussura] Charles asks (of GM), "Yeah. What'd he shoot me with?"
[ussura] * Gunther has left the channel.

[ussura] GM exclaims, "Oh, right!"
[ussura] Charles asks, "And was there a potato involved?"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "also I should point out that part of the condition for staying at the monastery was needing to participate in the monastic rites"

[ussura] Alixandre says, "as long as they have not taken a vow of no ruffs"
[ussura] Maxwell says, "I thought it was more common chores than religious rites."
[ussura] Maxwell says, "but then I'm not playing"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i think we were just allowed to hang out with the Sud'yas, but chores"
[ussura] GM says, "OK, quick flashback for this."

[ussura] Raelynn says, "i asked to hang out with the sud'yas at the end of the last session so that's where i am headed. maybe devoe is hiding out in that group"

GM says, "So, scene with Charles: you're on your first night of travelling, getting ready to sleep, when:"

GM says, "You were just taking off your shirt."
[Crows-Nest] Alixandre says, "I hope that was a chain-mail shirt, then"
[ussura] GM says, "And he seems to have gotten disconnected again."

[ussura] Charles says, "(Argh. And *that* time, I get knocked off.)"

Charles looks around for the source of the noise.
Charles shakes his shirt, in case perhaps gold coins are mysteriously falling out of it.
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn says, "if he finds any, it's er, because it's mine!"
GM says, "There's a small, misshappen blob of metal in the dirt near you."
GM says (to Charles), "Also, your shirt seems to have a small hole in it."
GM says, "Right in the middle of your chest."
Charles examines the spot on his chest that'd match with the hole.
[Crows-Nest] Maxwell exclaims, "He's Rennaisance Superman!"
GM says, "Your locket dangles from its chain on your bare chest."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "ha ha"
Charles flips it open. Any damage?
GM says, "And indeed--it's hard to pry open; the surrounding metal somewhat bent and mangled."
[ussura] GM asks (of Charles), "There was a portrait in there?"
Charles frowns, and mutters a few choice epithets about Marceau.
[ussura] Charles says, "Right."
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn asks, "wait a minute. Marceau shot Charles and the lot of you trusted "Raelynn" to go off with him?"
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn asks, "you don't really like me do you?"
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says, "doo te doo"
[Crows-Nest] Charles exclaims (at Raelynn), "I tried to warn you off once I realized what you were doing, but it was too late!"
GM says, "You pull out the portrait, which is now bent, but still recognizable."
GM says, "But, hang on, there's odd markings on the back--they look like they were burned there."
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn says (to charles), "ok you are forgiven"
Charles says, "Odd."
[ussura] Charles asks, "Meaningful to me?"
[ussura] GM says, "No, just some odd patterns."
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "is this flashback something we all know? are we hearing about it now for the first time?"
[ussura] GM says, "It's a just-Charles thing, which he might or might not tell you about/have told you about at some point"
Charles takes a few moments to copy it down into his notebook, to show to others later.
[ussura] Charles asks, "Is the locket still a safe place to keep the picture?"
[ussura] GM says, "Yeah, if you bend the metal around some."
Charles twists it back into shape as best he can, then folds/balls his shirt into a pillow and tries to sleep.
GM says, "And, </scene>. We'll say you forgot about telling people about it during the trip, but remembered as you came into the monastery."
[ussura] Charles says, "Also, I don't think Charles owns a shirt without a hole in it from some weapon or other."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "ha ha"
GM says, "So, you all head out of the first building, across a covered walkway, and into the center buiding in the compound: a big open room with several long tables in it, and a raised area on the far end. People seem about ready to eat, and the room is quieting as you enter, attention focused on the far end, where a man in forest green robes stands. He speaks with a thick accent, the heavy Ussuran syllables echoing around the spartan chamber."
Robed_man says (to assembly), "From the beginning, the land has been here."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "also, I am shocked by your lack of attentions to personal accoutrement"
Alixandre says (sotto voce), "Dinner *and* a show? I had no idea how advanced civilization is here!"
(From Robed_man) Those assembled around the tables reply in unison, Katya joining them, "Ussura will wait."
Robed_man says (to assembly), "Before green things sprouted from the earth, the wind blew across the mountains."
(From Robed_man) Those assembled again reply, "Ussura will wait."
Robed_man says (to assembly), "Before creatures roamed, flew, and swam on the earth, waters fell from the skies and filled the seas."
(From Robed_man) "Ussura will wait."
Alixandre looks sad that he is not dressed for a night of theatre.
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "am I familiar with this religion?"
Robed_man says (to assembly), "Before man came, drawing borders and spilling blood to defend them, the mountains bordered the forest, the forest the plains, and the plains the ocean."
(From Robed_man) "Ussura will wait."
GM says, "Then the man in front joins everyone else in saying:"
[ussura] Era asks, "good question - is this something I've heard before, or maybe heard of before?"
Robed_man says, "To every thing, its place, to every action, its time. I will wait with Ussura, and be ready for my own time and place to act."
[ussura] GM says, "You both are generally familiar with Sud'ya, yes (--more--)"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "would I be joining in on the refrain?"
[ussura] GM says, "It's a generally animistic religion--they believe that all things have spirits."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "hmm, probably not, then"
Raelynn listens, intrigued
[ussura] Alixandre exclaims, "hey, *I've* heard of that!"
[ussura] GM says (to Pyotr), "If you want to be a Sud'yan, sure. But it's not a terribly popular religion."
[ussura] GM says, "Most Ussurans are Ussuran Orthodox."
[Crows-Nest] (from Charles) GM says, "And that these spirits can be interrogated as an aid to solving quests, or for comic relief."
[ussura] GM says, "In that they believe in just the First Prophet."
[Crows-Nest] GM laughs.
[ussura] Pyotr says, "right, Pyotr is orthodox, just wondering if this is close enough to be politely ecumenical"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "which it isn't"
[ussura] GM says, "Yeah, probably not."
GM says, "As the echoes of everyone's voices die away, you see that everyone remains still, and silence fills the room."
Raelynn asks (of era), "(quietly) perhaps we should sit down?"
[ussura] Era says, "its not close to orthodox, but Era has a certain appreciation for recognizing that other-than-humans have spirits."
GM says, "A woman off to one side coughs slightly. It breaks the silence, but everyone remains still, and the silence returns."
Sebastien looks around with interest.
Alixandre stifles the sudden urge to sneeze
Charles glances at Katya.
Era says (to Raelynn), "I think that would draw less attention to ourselves."
GM says (to Raelynn), "Katya holds up a hand with one finger, as if to say, 'Wait a moment'."
Era pauses mid-sit.
(From GM) **fluumph**
GM says, "And at the sound of snow sliding off the peaked roof to land outside one of the windows, the man in front nods, and people in the room begin eating, with a pleasant, homey din filling the room."
Alixandre looks for a place for all of them to sit.
Era . o O ( "they were waiting for snow?" )
Raelynn looks puzzled
[ussura] Alixandre says, "it's because these silly people believe in magic, ha ha"
Sebastien says, "it seems as though they could not get very much done if they stopped every time there was some snow"
GM says (to Alixandre), "There are actually lots of places with open spots."
Alixandre picks a well-situated one with ample opportunities for conversation.
Pyotr waits to find out if they are invited to dine, or just sit.
Era says (to Raelynn), ""Let's go sit over there." Era gestures at a spot for two relatively near the fire."
Charles sits near Pyotr or Era.
Kayta says (to Pyotr), "There is food available over there (she points); you may sit wherever you like."
Pyotr says, "Thank you."
Pyotr wanders over to investigate the food, then goes to sit down near the fire.
Palech says (to Alixandre), "Hello! I'm Palech."
Raelynn joins Era by the fire
Raelynn asks (of era), "are you familiar with the Sud'ya religion?"
Raelynn says, "the whole chant was interesting, just now"
Alixandre says, "Good evening! I am Alixandre. A pleasure to meet you."
Era says (to Raelynn), ""I know what most people from this region would know.""
Palech smiles and sticks out his hand.
Sebastien examines the food thoughtfully before taking a few things and walking over to sit with Alixandre and Palech.
Alixandre shakes Palech's hand. "May we join you?"
Era says (to Raelynn), "<insert what the GM has already revealed here>"
Palech says, "Please, do! Welcome."
[ussura] GM says (to era), "Heh."
Alixandre says, "Thank you."
Raelynn nods
Sebastien exclaims, "and I am Sebastien!"
Sebastien shakes Palech's hand also
Raelynn looks around. "I guess all monasteries look the same wherever you are."
Alixandre says, "It might not be that obvious, but we are both visitors here."
Era says (to Raelynn), ""It is an ancient religion, having its roots in Cathay."
Pyotr talks to the monks near him. "So, how are the woods around here, they seemed very well stocked?"
[ussura] Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "ha ha ha"
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn says, "smart pyotr. go hunting in the very woods the people worship"
Palech says (to Alix), "Oh, I see."
Palech grins.
Palech asks, "So where are you from?"
Era says (to Raelynn), ""Since the firewall between our countries ignited, it has weakened some, but still remains."
Iakimei says (to Pyotr), "They provide enough; not overly full, but sufficient for our group."
Alixandre says, "We hail from Montaigne."
GM tosses Alixandre a drama die for being amusing.
[ussura] Alixandre exclaims, "yay!"
[ussura] GM says, "Oh, and #belated:"
[ussura] GM gives Raelynn a drama die for being Fleur ;-)
Sebastien says, "We are, in a word, visiting diplomatic ambassadors"
Alixandre says, "Well, three words, but I am sure you take our meaning."

Alixandre says, "The situation with the war was most unexpected to us, as we were dispatched before it began and without being told about it."

Sebastien says, "but at the time finding out what had transpired in the lower-hemline debate seemed more urgent"
Alixandre says, "That might have been useful, now that you mention it."
Palech shakes his head.
Vakhek says to Charles, nodding, "Yes. Some of us hunt, some of us cook, some of us craft."
[ussura] Raelynn says, "sorry. 30 feet"

[backstage] Vakhek says, "I assumed that, but was slow typing."
[ussura] GM says, "OK, so: There do indeed seem to be one or two sorcerors here."

Iakimei exclaims (at Pyotr), "...so at his word, we waited under that tree for three hours! And then, someone thought to look under a tree nearby, and found its tracks leading away--it must've leapt 30 feet from one treetop to the next!"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i should have picked up some magic i don't know, sheesh"
Pyotr says (to Iakimei), "Oooh, I hate when they do that. I saw something similar, except it crossed a stream at the same time, too."
Raelynn says (to era), "i am going to walk around. see if i can figure out where the sorcerers are"
[ussura] GM says, "If you go up a rank, you pick a new magic."
[ussura] Raelynn asks (of gm), "i can play hot and cold, can't i?"
Pyotr says (to Iakimei), "So, you guys must spend a lot of time in the forest nearby."
Pyotr asks, "I can't imagine many people come out here, but if they passed by you'd see their tracks, right?"
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "like if i am on the side near the food, and i don't sense any sorcerers, then there is none, and maybe even track down more than one?"
Iakimei sighs "Indeed. It's wonderful. So peaceful out here."
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "or is the room not big enough (with my range)?"
Pyotr says, "When we were in town I hear rumors about smugglers coming past here, and was wondering if you'd seen anything of them, say in the last month or so."
Era says (to Raelynn), "While you are up wandering around, can you get me some more of that excellent stew as an excuse to be wandering? I would appreciate it."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "and you guys thought I was just having a good time"
Raelynn says (to era), "no problem"
Iakimei says, "If anyone wants to come here, they pretty much have to climb that cliff."

Raelynn edges over to Charles and waits for him to stop his conversation
Iakimei says, "Or descend over the mountains."
Pyotr says, "I spoke with a man who sold an awful lot of climbing equipment recently."
[ussura] Charles says, "Nah, we know that it's gruelling work for Pyotr to have to keep coming up with full sentences."
Alixandre says, "We are enjoying seeing parts of Ussura that we would otherwise undoubtedly not have seen."
Vakhek has run out of questions for the moment and regards the newcomers casually while eating.
Era turns to the person beside her, and attempts to start a conversation.
Alixandre asks, "Do you receive many visitors here?"

GM says (to Raelynn), "OK, you pinpoint two people with magic--the guy Pyotr's talking to, and another one eating alone off to one side."
Raelynn says (to charles), "(quietly) we have sorcers around here"
[backstage] GM asks, "You want to field Era's question?"
[backstage] Vakhek says, "sure"
Era says (to whomever), "As much as I enjoy seeing the world, I confess, I miss my brothers."
Charles asks (softly, of Raelynn), "Pyeryem?"
Palech says (to Alix), "Beautiful country here, isn't it? Really makes you appreciate the mountain spirits."
Raelynn says (to charles), "i can't tell"
Raelynn says (to charles), "i found 2"
Grana says (to Era), "Family is an illusion of mankind, and I am content to live with my friends here."
Raelynn says (to charles), "the one pyotr is talking to and that guy by himself there"
Era is somewhat taken aback, but tries again.
Sebastien says (to Palech), "it is true our travels here were most scenic"
Grana says (to Era), "Our spirits connect through our efforts and watchfulness."
Sebastien says (to Palech), "but, to be frank, it was not purely for sight-seeing purposes that we arrived at this monastery"
Charles says (to Raelynn), "Perhaps one is our exile."
Era says, "But even animals recognize the importance of families. Look at wolves for example - they stay with their pack all their lives."
Iakimei frowns at Pyotr. "Odd, then, since nobody's been here for at least six months--you sure this person didn't come here earlier?"
[backstage] GM says, "Mmm, wolves ;-)"
Palech asks (of Sebastien), "Oh?"
Era asks (of Grana), "How do you mean?"
Grana says (to Era), "Ah, but the wolf pack is much more than a family. It doesn't matter with whom one connects so much as how one connects."
Pyotr asks (of Iakimei), "It would have been recently. But maybe they took another path. No suspicious tracks nearby?"
Raelynn asks (of charles), "i am going to go join pyotr. how should we approach the lonely one?"
Iakimei says, "No, not above the cliff."
Sebastien says (to Palech), "as we had remarked upon before, we are members of Montaigne's diplomatic corps"
Pyotr says, "Hmm."
Raelynn gets and delivers Era's stew at some point
Charles says (to Raelynn), "It might be best to wait until he leaves, and then watch where he goes."
Era says (to Grana), "I see. Do you know who made this stew? (gestures as what Raelynn brought her) It is really quite good."
Sebastien says (to Palech), "it came to our attention that the previous person in this position -- or possibly, technically, the current person in this position -- was bound to this monastery in search of a certain political exile who resided here"
[ussura] Charles asks, "Hmm. Is anyone here actualyl stealthy?"
Alixandre says, "or, rather, that he thought might have resided here"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I have some skill in that"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "I am"
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "he seemed quite sure that Dreng Rissanova was to be found here"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "me too"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "though, hm, all of my previous experience was in halls with tapestries"
Palech leans back. "Oho."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "although my ruffles may rustle a bit"
Alixandre says, "That is true."
Palech says (to Sebastien), "You realize that the whereabouts of Dreng Rissanova are not generally known."
Raelynn sidles over to Pyotr to eavesdrop
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i have 2 stealth too"
Era wipes the last of the stew from her bowl with a slice of bread, and drains her glass.
Grana says (to Era), "The hunters and gardeners provided, and I believe Vakhek and Padnik were in the kitchen today."
Sebastien says (to Palech), "it is true that we were not altogether sure of the circumstances which led to his removal"
Era says (to Grana), "I will make a point of meeting them. Thank you."
Alixandre says, "Do forgive us if we are treading near to political 'hot-spots,' as we are still new to the country"
Sebastien says, "but I fear our predecessor was better-informed, and sought to take advantage of this information"
Era clears away her dishes, and offers to take Grana's as well.
[ussura] Charles says (to Raelynn), "You might be the best one to follow him, given your special sbility."
Sebastien asks (of Alixandre), "why, do you mean there is one of those natural mineral springs nearby?"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "fair enough"
Grana says (to Era), "Thank you, miss."
Alixandre says, "If so, that might make for a refreshing diversion later in the evening"
Palech shakes his head. "He sought to kill his own sister in outright revolt. Gathered the dregs of society to help him, too."
Era says (to Grana), "My pleasure. In my family, even the littlest was expected to help."
Raelynn fails to catch pyotr's eye and gets squeamish with the hunting talk and slowly edges to the lone eater
Pyotr asks (of Raelynn), "Do you hunt?"
Alixandre says, "though I might skip rolling in the snow afterwards."
Raelynn calls back, "Not I"
Era takes the small stack of dishes to the washing area, and offers to assist with clean-up.
Sebastien shudders delicately.
Raelynn casuallynibbles on a bun, watching the lone eater to see what he does
GM says (to Raelynn), "The lone man gets up, having finished eating, and heads towards the outside of the building."
Sebastien says (to Palech), "quite shocking"
Sebastien says (to Palech), "I can see why it was necessary to remove him to such a place as this"
Palech laughs. "No, no mineral springs up here."
Pyotr says (to Iakimei), "She's a nice girl, but squeamish."
Palech says (to Sebastien), "You seem quite sure of your information, sirs."
Raelynn follows stealthily
Iakimei laughs.
Raelynn tries to catch Charles' attention as she leaves

Sebastien says (to Palech), "our predecessor was quite certain; beyond that I cannot, of course, speak"
Sebastien says (to Palech), "except to point out that he certainly left the city heading here -- though I admit it is curious he did not arrive"

Charles sees Raelynn, and nods to her.
Pyotr says, "I'd like to check out the bottom of the cliff. See if there are any tracks there."
Palech says, "So, what, did Dreng owe him money, or what? He was quite out of the, hmm, diplomatic spectrum when exiled."
[7thsea] GM says, "Go ahead and roll Finesse+stealth."

Palech says, "Ah."
Palech asks, "And so, you're here to stop him? Help him?"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "what the hey, if he knows i am there, might as well as catch up"
[7thsea] Raelynn asks (of lonely), "hey. wait up, got a second?"
Alixandre says, "Our initial intent is merely to gather information"
Sebastien says, "although I believe our companions have somewhat more fierce intentions towards Devoe"
Sebastien says, "and one of them, at least, does not hesitate to put intentions into deeds"
Alixandre says, "too true, and occasionally unseemly."

Palech asks, "And you plan to idly watch, and comment on his style as he does so?"

Era rolls up her sleeves, and plunges her dishes into the soapy water. These dishes haven't gotten such a thoroush scrubbing in quite a while.

[ussura] Krenitz says, "He's a younger man, yes. Bundled up for the cold right now, but seemed handsome enough inside."

Sebastien spreads his hands. "Naturally, if you wish things to proceed as they likely will, you need tell us nothing."
[backstage] Padnik asks, "Is there a system for assigning chores?"

Sebastien says, "as Bazancourt says, fantastic speculations are easily dispelled by the point of the sword"

[7thsea] Krenitz blinks in seeming appreciation as he gets a look at your violet eyes.
[Crows-Nest] Charles says, "Possibly the wrong Glamour mage has Stone Knight."
Palech says, "Um, what? I don't follow Bazancourt's meaning."
Padnik says (to Era), "We all appreciate the enthusiasm, but there's no need to overwork yourself right after a long journey."
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "Two or three years."
Era says (to Padnik), "I understand you made the stew tonight. It was delicious. The least I can do is help out."
[7thsea] Raelynn says, "and you just wander from place to place? my, you must have some fascinating stories"
Alixandre says, "I believe he suggests to cut through the tangled knot of rumors and lies with the sword of directness, if that makes things clearer."
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "Wander? No, we stay here, pretty much."
Sebastien says, "exactly! you do have, how do they say, a manner with verbalization"
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn says, "damn, i should have taken seduction"
Alixandre exclaims, "Thank you!"
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "In another few years, I must decide whether to stay, or return to my family."
Padnik smiles. "I helped, yes. Thank you for the compliment."
Alixandre says, "We would prefer a non-violent approach, but fear others might not"
Sebastien says, "but further I would add that even in our brief observation of the situation here it seems clear that the war presses on hotly; Dreng's actions could soon be decisive"
[7thsea] Raelynn asks, "you stay at the monastery? so you aren't part of the pilgrim group?"
[7thsea] Raelynn asks, "what is it like, living on top of the cliff like this? do you get a view from the rooms?"
Palech says, "Well, he could mess things up, I suppose. Cut off our support for the front lines to the west."
Palech says, "But Gallenia is far from Rurik, and such support is fairly negligible."
Era says (to Padnik), "We shall have to exchange recipes sometime. My mother and her cook used cumin - I didn't recognize all of the spices in this."
Palech says, "If Dreng should attempt another coup, I worry more for the folk here."
Alixandre says (to Palech), "I would think so, especially if Dreng turned to foreign powers for alliance, as those powers often come at a price"
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "There are some who come here for a season, some longer, and some for a lifetime."
[7thsea] Raelynn says, "huh. anyone recently? Katya said no one comes here (so i am fibbing)"
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "No, noone has come for many months."
Padnik asks (of Era), "Cumin doesn't grow so well at this altitude, so we use what we have in the garden. Perhaps you would like to take shifts in the kitchen while you stay here?"
[7thsea] Krenitz turns and opens a door in the back wall of the compound.
[Crows-Nest] Alixandre says, "you say palech, i say padnik"
Era says (to Padnik), "I would like that. I also embroider <gestures at fine-work on gown>."
[Crows-Nest] Padnik says, "yeah, that was a bit of a mistake"
[Crows-Nest] Krenitz says, "As long as it's not Padme, I'm happy."
[7thsea] Raelynn makes some really obvious tracks like moving stuff as she walks so Charles would know where she is, and keeps following
[7thsea] Raelynn asks, "what kind of stuff do you to do here? are you an acolyte?"
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "Yeah, it's lightly snowing, but you're making clear tracks."
Padnik says, "Most of us don't have such fancy apparel here, of course."
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "I learn what I can from the others, and teach what I can, as well."
[7thsea] Krenitz closes the door behind you, and walks through the trees to a clearing.
[ussura] Palech tries to pick up this thread again.
Charles periodically looks back at the passage Raelynn left by, wondering how long he should wait before checking after her safety.
[7thsea] Raelynn asks, "you said you had an errand? where are we headed?"
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn says, "i can't flirt online, sheesh"
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn says, "it feels too weird typing in "flutters eyelashes" or "casually tucks hair behind ear""
[Crows-Nest] Krenitz laughs.
[Crows-Nest] Padnik says, "We'll just assume you are smiling sweetly and fluttering eyelashes all the while."
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says, "cutely brushing the icicles off your nose"
[7thsea] Krenitz grins at you; the first smile you've seen him make this evening.

[7thsea] Raelynn says, "where are we? they look like ..."
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "My sister, Gavriilya, lies here."
[7thsea] Raelynn says, "oh i am sorry"
[7thsea] Krenitz says, "I like to sing to her in the evenings."
[7thsea] Raelynn asks, "did she stay at the monastery before?"

[ussura] Raelynn asks, "we know era can be a falcon...but not all of us know yet that she can be wolf, right?"
[7thsea] Krenitz smiles, and puts his other hand on Raelynn's.
[7thsea] Krenitz begins to sing, a haunting melody that seems to have the wind for accompaniment.
[ussura] Sebastien says, "that is correct"
[7thsea] GM says, "The words seem to be in a dialect of Ussuran that Raelynn is unfamiliar with, but the sentiment is clear."
[7thsea] Raelynn shives slightly, and brings the cloak closer
[7thsea] Raelynn says, "(also, she removes her hand from his. never a good idea to be too easy)"

[7thsea] GM says, "OK, we'll pause this a sec and get back to the fops."

Sebastien says, "your perception is truly uncanny -- though I would add that, by our orders, we are required to seek out Devoe regardless"
[ussura] Charles asks, "Are Pyotr and Iakimei still talking, BTW?"

[ussura] Iakimei asks, "If Pyotr wants; I lost the conversation, sadly--was there something else P wanted?"

[ussura] Charles says, "I was just curious if Iakimei had gone anywhere, since he was the other one Raelynn noticed as having sorcery."
[Crows-Nest] Padnik says, "I didn't think you guys were so anti-sorcery."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "I figured we were nonspecifically chatting"
Alixandre says, "I hasten to add that those interpretations in no way led to us being assigned to a country with whom our country was at war and without support or information"
Sebastien exclaims, "a most significant point!"
Sebastien says, "rather, that was no doubt due to their recognition of our meritorious conduct and distinct personal abilities"
[Crows-Nest] Charles says (to Padnik), "I'm not particularly against sorcery; it's just that if Rissanova's a noble family, then Dreng's probably got Pyeryem."
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn asks, "well, i thought matushka hated sorcery. so wouldn't sorcery be unusual in ussura?"

Alixandre exclaims, "I agree with your statement in its entirety!"

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "And she can revoke it at will."
Sebastien says, "it seems likely that some exchange could be made"
[Crows-Nest] Charles says, "Ah, hm."
[Crows-Nest] GM says, "(as can the Gaius, at that)"

Alixandre says, "older than I'd like, but newer than our information regarding current shoe fashions at court, so not as bad as it could be"
Palech says, "Before that, Dreng was indeed here."
Palech asks, "What else can you tell me about Devoe?"
Pyotr promises to go hunting tomorrow, and gets up to wander over to Charles.
[ussura] Alixandre asks (of Sebastien), "what bit of information would you like to give out next?"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "what do we know? he left about three weeks ago (I guess closer to four now)"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "we know when he left, what kind of equipment he had, and, er, what his plans were"
Pyotr asks (of Charles), "(softly) We sem to be missing a few people. Did you see where Era and that girl went?"
[ussura] GM asks, "Are you conferring?"
[ussura] Alixandre says (to GM), "If this needs to be IC, it can be"
[Crows-Nest] GM laughs at 'that girl'.
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I just didn't want to step on his toes so we ended up blurting out two different facts at once"
[ussura] GM says, "It'd be nice, probably."
[ussura] GM says, "Heh."
Alixandre says (to Palech), "If you would give me and my compatriot a moment to confer...."
Sebastien stands up and steps away from Palech a pace or two
Alixandre follows.
Palech waves, and turns his attention back to his stew.
Era continues to exchange recipes with Padnik whilst continuing her enthusiastic-dishwashing.
Charles says (to Pyotr), "Raelynn was following a suspicious fellow who might have been an Ussuran noble. She's been gone for a while, though: this might be a good time to look for her, in case se's in trouble."
Alixandre murmurs, "We know when he left, and thus when he might arrive. We also know what his intent was, though that may be more than we want to say."
Pyotr asks (of Charles), "Oh, all right. Which way?"
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "(quietly) six months? either his information was far out of date and he did not know it, or he was not in fact heading here -- if he were heading here, he should have arrived before"
[Crows-Nest] Era says, "also prying out the occasional bit of personal/historic information, but cleverly using light chit-chat as a smoke-screen. How much of this is useful, remains to be seen."
Charles says, "They left through that passage."
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "precisely; it seems like we could leave the treaty unmentioned, at least for now"
Pyotr heads off.
Charles goes as well.
Alixandre says, "There is also the matter of the other treaty that he was undoubtedly presented with, the one that is a duplicate to the one we now carry."
GM says (to Charles), "Raelynn's dainty footprints are still visible in the snow leading through the buildings."
[Crows-Nest] Pyotr says (to alix,seb), "nice recap"
Charles points them out.
Sebastien exclaims, "I see our minds run along similar lines!"
Pyotr checks and follows.
Sebastien hastily lowers his voice again.
[ussura] Alixandre says, "hee hee"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "i guess we lose the magical monk"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "I'll find him in the morning"
Alixandre says, "I think the date that he left would be the next thing to offer, and after that the fact that he had staff working with him who may have been accompanying him or may be off on their own at this point."
[ussura] GM asks, "OK, how many are following? Charles, Era, Pyotr?"
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "well, then, perhaps you could convey things to him -- evem if Dreng is no longer here, Palech is clearly well-informed"
[ussura] Charles says (to Raelynn), "He didn't get around to leaving on any mysterious errands, so he misses out on the fun."
[ussura] Pyotr says (to gm), "just me and charles, I think"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "Era seems to still be washing up"
Alixandre says, "If we are agreed, then, I shall carry on."
Sebastien says, "please do so"
[ussura] GM says, "OK, Sara just walked by me, and wanted to be in on any action, so we'll say she's finished and following, too."

Alixandre rejoins Palech.
[ussura] Alixandre asks, "It was three weeks ago that Devoe left?"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "before we left on this trip, yeah"
GM says, "Era meets you on your way outside, and the three of you follow Raelynn's tracks to a door in the back wall."
Pyotr opens the door.

Pyotr motions the other two to be quiet.
Raelynn listens quietly
Palech says, "Climbing equipment, hmm? Interesting."
Era asks, "What is that singing . . .?"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "If we miss combat, I will be sad, since I have yet to be able to offer my rousing words of encouragement to those fighting"
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "does pyotr and era know the dialect?"
[ussura] Pyotr exclaims, "I haven't used my axe in several sessions! it is getting sad!"
[ussura] Sebastien exclaims, "you fought guards last time!"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "it's just been several weeks"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "yeah, but that was just punching"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "punching isn't as satisfying"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "oh ok"
Palech says, "Well--Dreng disappeared six months ago, in the middle of an attack on this compound."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "I bet"
[ussura] Charles says, "Hopefully the monks will need some wood-chopped tomorrow."
[ussura] Era exclaims, "I'm anxious to get in a few strikes, myself!"
[ussura] GM exclaims (at Charles), "Hee!"
Alixandre says, "Disappeared? How surprising."
[ussura] Era says, "and not on any dang logs, either."
[Crows-Nest] Rudolf exclaims, "Eep, axe!"
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says, "hee hee"
Palech says, "There is more..."
Alixandre inclines his head.
Palech says, "Should you have any more information yourselves, of course."
Sebastien murmurs "Clearly the harsh winters have taught you to be hard bargainers"
Palech says, "There is little more to do out here than sharpen our wits on each other, I will admit."
Alixandre says, "We know in part what might have driven Devoe onwards: Dauntania was interested in having him sign a treaty keeping Montaigne troops out of Gallenia"
[Crows-Nest] Charles says, "His wit must be very pointy by now."
Palech says, "Aha."
[ussura] Sebastien says, "(we can also describe Devoe, it occurs to me)"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "good point"
Palech says, "The attack on our compound was of wolves, though there were some scattered reports of humans being in the group. Our response was not what it could be, not usually having to defend this place. Dreng had his own building on one side of the compound, and the attack seemed centered in that area. His room was empty when the wolves left--and they did indeed leave; we had no hope of driving them off."
Sebastien says, "most peculiar -- I had always been given to understand that the people of this nation had, er, an unusual affinity with the animals living here"
Palech says, "Indeed."
[ussura] Alixandre says (to Seb), "if you want to take over the next part, feel free -- I am suddenly occupied in shovelling food down Eli's throat"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "right-o"
Palech says, "The possibility of pyeryem being used was noted well in our dispatch to Tamara following the incident."
Sebastien strokes his chin thoughtfully. "And you have no idea where Dreng may have proceeded to? Do the wolves signify any particular person?"
Palech says, "A person? Hmm."
[Crows-Nest] (from Charles) Pesach waits expectantly.
Sebastien says, "as a side note, I could perhaps supply a description of Devoe, if it would help in your investigations"
Palech says, "It is true that Alexsi v'Novgorov has the spirit-skin of the king of the wolves."
[Crows-Nest] Charles says, "(Er, Palech...)"
Palech says, "That would indeed be potentially helpful."
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says (to Charles), "I had some matzo all ready for him"
[Crows-Nest] Pyotr says, "wrong time of the year"
Sebastien says, "he is not quite as tall as I am -- say, perhaps five and a half feet. brown hair, and, I regret to say, a twirly moustache quite out of style"
Palech chuckles.
Sebastien says, "so who is this Alexsi v'Novgorov? It is true the name Novgorov sounds somewhat familiar"

[ussura] GM asks, "Dagnabbit, what do you call these province rulers?"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "Knias?"

[ussura] GM says, "I keep getting that confused with Gaius."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "it's all odd, yes"
Palech says, "He is the Rurik Knias."
Sebastien says, "aha -- I should have recalled"
[ussura] Era says, "which is part of the point, I'm sure, but it does make for some confuzzled moments."
[ussura] GM says, "(Rurik being the westernmost province, where all the fighting is right now)"
Sebastien says, "I regret there was very little time for us to acquaint ourselves with the current political situation before being shipped off"
[ussura] GM says, "So, the Gaius is the ruler of Ussura, and there are five Kniases on the 'Douma', or ruling council; one who rules each province."
[ussura] GM says, "(the plural of Knias is probably Knias, I guess)"
Sebastien says, "well, this has been very helpful"
[ussura] Era says, "Or Knise :-)"
Alixandre says, "Yes indeed, we thank you for the fine and stimulating conversation."
Sebastien says, "I think perhaps Alixandre and I should rejoin our companions now"
Palech nods. "I thank you for the conversation."
Pyotr starts moving closer to the singing, still following the tracks.
Sebastien says, "I would hate to think that Alexsi would seek to work against his own country, but it is true that in a conquered Ussura he might be in a position of more power"
Sebastien says, "in any case, at least we have established that our interests in finding Dreng and Devoe lie together"
Sebastien says, "so good to talk"
Sebastien heads off.
Alixandre says, "Very true."
Alixandre says, "And again, thank you."
Alixandre follows Sebastien.
Krenitz's voice dies away, and he kneels at the gravesite.
Alixandre asks, "Not to dampen our enthusiastic progress, but did you see where everyone went?"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "well, that ought to have successfully confused things"
Sebastien sighs. "I was rather hoping you had noticed their destination at some point."
Sebastien says, "still, as they are not here, they can only be elsewhere"
Raelynn says (to krenitz), "(After a few moments of silence) that was beautiful"
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "what happened to her?"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "ilac"
Krenitz sweeps away the snow in a series of interlocking patterns, leaving some lines of patched earth.
Krenitz stands again.
Raelynn asks, "what happened to her?"
Krenitz says, "She died defending the sick-house when the wolves attacked."
Alixandre says, "if they went outside, perhaps we can see where they went by their footprints."
Krenitz says, "And--"
Krenitz turns suddenly.
Alixandre says, "I seem to recall that Pytor fellow doing as much. Hopefully it is not a hard skill to learn 'as we go.'"
Krenitz asks, "Did you hear that?"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "if I'm close enough to hear, I stop moving"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I can only get away with saying things like that because he, and more importantly his axe, are not nearby."

Sebastien says, "there must be tracks around here somewhere, though I admit it seems to be snowing again slightly"
Sebastien says, "the weather in this country seems designed to be inconvenient"
Charles hisses (to Raelynn and Era), "Wolves."
Pyotr says (to Charles), "I heard it too"
Era says (to Pyotr), "It sounds like . . ."
GM says (to Sebastien), "There are indeed several tracks leading through the buildings."
Pyotr says, "Right, let's grab Raelynn and get back quick."
Sebastien says, "ah, here, see"
Sebastien and Alixandre start off following the tracks.
Sebastien says, "I wonder where they could have been going"
Krenitz and Raelynn appear out of the trees.
Krenitz nods to everyone.
Sebastien says, "perhaps Pyotr talked them into doing some sort of local winter aerobics"
Pyotr exclaims (at Raelynn), "There you are!"
Pyotr says, "Okay, let's get back quickly."
Alixandre says, "That could certainly be bracing."
Raelynn hurriedly introduces Krenitz to everyone
Krenitz says, "I'm afraid we must get back... right."
Raelynn says, "we were just heading inside..."
Pyotr stays to the rear, and checks behind them frequently.
Raelynn asks (of Krenitz), "do you hear them around here often?"
Sebastien says, "a fellow in Vodacce told me once that some Ussurans run out in the wintertime to take a cold bath and then hug a tree for an hour"
Charles tries to guess the direction the sound came from.
Sebastien says, "he speculated it was to demonstrate some sort of great affection for nature"
Alixandre asks, "Would that not be prickly, as well as bad for the skin?"
Sebastien exclaims, "that is exactly what I said!"
[ussura] Raelynn asks, "do we meet up Alixastien yet?"
Pyotr says (to Charles), "take the lead, and see if that door can be locked."
Sebastien says, "not to mention the risk of their beard getting caught on the bark, should they have one"
Alixandre says, "They would most likely have one, I would wager."
Raelynn holds her dagger free from the cloak now as they walk back
GM says (to Pyotr), "As you turn and look back, you realize that between the snowflakes, you can see dark shapes coming down the mountainside behind the compound."
Era says (to Sebastien), "You have some very strange notions about Ussuran behavior."
Pyotr slips his axe free.
Pyotr says, "Everyone, walk faster, but don't run...yet."
Pyotr says (to Era), "Come back here and help me."
Era asks (of Pyotr), "What with?"
Alixandre asks, "Oh, here everyone is! But why the tension in the air?"
Pyotr says (to Era), "Look"
Pyotr points out the shapes.
Raelynn says (to Alix), "wolves"
GM says, "As you point, the last shape slips down into the forest."
Raelynn says (to alix), "we heard them howling"
Alixandre says, "Wolves? Why, what a coincidence, given what we learned just now."
Sebastien says, "goodness gracious -- a most informative fellow inside was just saying there was an enormous wolf attack on the compound six months ago"
Raelynn asks (of Krenitz), "this is not the first time since your sister, right?"
Sebastien says, "why, once again our thoughts run on similar lines"
Pyotr asks (of Charles), "Where's that door?"
Raelynn says (to Sebastien), "His sister (waves to Krenitz) was one of the victims"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "my, we went a long ways out in the forest..."
Krenitz exclaims (at Raelynn), "It is! We have seen no wolves since six months ago!"
[ussura] GM says, "Nah, you're back at the wall."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "oh, good"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "where's Charles with the door, then?"
Charles says (to Pyotr), "Here -- behind Sebastien and Alixandre."
Pyotr asks (of Charles), "Find a lock?"
Pyotr says, "Everyone in"
GM says, "And the group of you slip inside."
Krenitz says, "The last time, they managed to scale the walls."
[ussura] Sebastien asks, "er, where have we slipped inside? the main building or an outbuilding?"
[ussura] Charles asks, "Do I find a lock?"
Sebastien asks, "scale the walls? are wolves usually that mobile?"
Alixandre asks, "The wolves climb as well?"
Alixandre asks, "Or were they perhaps launched, as from a trebuchet?"
Krenitz says, "The wall is very rough."
Krenitz shrugs.
Pyotr asks, "Were there trees too close to the wall, or did they actually climb?"
Charles says, "Or leap."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "well, we wanted a fight"
Era says, "Wolves can climb somewhat, especially when there is a female involved. I trust your climbing skills would similarly improve given the same situation."
[ussura] GM says, "Oh, right--you're outside the buildings now, but inside the wall."
[ussura] GM asks, "Did you want to go inside inside?"
Pyotr says, "Heh, so they have."
[ussura] Charles asks, "How high is the wall? And *was* there a lock?"
Alixandre says, "If we are to be attacked, I should perhaps arm myself."
[ussura] Raelynn says (to pyotr), "maybe they are blink wolves!"
[ussura] GM laughs!
Pyotr says (to Krenitz), "WHo is in charge of defense? We need to warn everyone."
[ussura] Charles says, "(Or a bar, at least?)"
[ussura] Pyotr exclaims, "nooooooo!"
Alixandre begins patting himself down. "I know I had something sharp around here somewhere."
Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "that is a most, ha ha, incisive summary"
Alixandre says, "Sharper than my wit, even, if I do say so myself."
Alixandre exclaims (at Sebastien), "Ha, how true!"
Era attempts to talk to the wolves.
Krenitz says (to Pyotr), "I'll notify Anatoly."
Krenitz runs off.
Era asks (of Wolves), "Why are you here?"
Pyotr says (to Krenitz), "Good. I'll start checking the walls."
[ussura] GM asks (of Era), "They're still not at the wall--did you want to go out and meet them?"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "it's good Sebastien and I are teamed, because he keeps cracking me up"
[ussura] Era says, "Not really. If diplomacy fails, outside the walls is a bad place to be."
Raelynn quickly fills Charles and Alixsatien in on who Krenitz is
[ussura] Charles asks, "How high is the wayy?"
[ussura] Charles asks, "Er, wall?"
GM says, "The walls look rougher (and therefore easier to climb) in a couple places. In addition, two trees are within five feet of the wall near you."
GM says, "The wall is maybe 10 feet high."
[ussura] Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "likewise! we are clearly well-situated for situational comedy"
GM says, "The snow has also drifted from the west."
Sebastien asks (of GM), "ie, forming something of a ramp?"
[ussura] Alixandre says, "were this only set many years in the future, we could be writers for a show such as 'Frasier'"
[ussura] Sebastien says, "ha ha"
Pyotr says, "Ah, these people have no thought for defense."
GM says (to Sebastien), "Once packed, yes."
Pyotr places himself near one of the low spots, and waves others to the rest.
Pyotr says, "I hope they have archers here."
Alixandre exclaims, "Aha!"
Era says, "If you all can cover me from the top of the wall with bows, I can attempt to approach the wolves and talk to them."
Alixandre exclaims, "I have found my knife!"
Pyotr says (to Era), "I have no bow, but I'll come with you."
Charles climbs the inside of the wall, so as to better report on what the wolves are doing.
[ussura] GM asks, "OK, so, you get one round to get set. Where do you want to be?"
Era says (to Pyotr), "That is kind of you, but I think the two of us may not be enough against a pack of wolves."
Alixandre says, "Though if there are bows to be had, I suppose I could use one of those instead, as I recall my childhood days of bow-ery with fond pride."
[ussura] GM asks (of Alix), "Your own is packed away? Or do you not have one?"
Era says (to Alixandre), "The word I think you want is 'Archery' and if the last time you used the skill was as a boy, I will re-think my strategy."
[ussura] Charles says, "On top of the wall."
[ussura] Alixandre says, "I assume I wasn't dragging it around for dinner"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "On the ground in front of the snow-ramp, ready to strike as they jump down."
Alixandre says (to Era), "Oh, never fear, I was quite the 'trick shot'."
Sebastien sighs. "Clearly in these dangerous times you must be more careful to maintain an array of weaponry about your person at all times."
Charles readies his knives for throwing.
Sebastien says, "despite the problems this leads to when attempting to sit down."

Alixandre says, "perhaps I should use my knife instead, though, since I expect the only bows will already be in the hands of competent people."

Sebastien exclaims (at Alixandre), "I regret to say I cannot see my residence from here!"
Pyotr exclaims (at Krenitz), "If you have archers, they'll do a great job from the tops of those two buildings, I bet!"

Alixandre climbs the east wall.
Raelynn looks up at Pyotr. "Hmm. He will probably knock all of them off in one blow."
Pyotr says (to Raelynn), "I am going to try."
Raelynn says, "Save some for me, please. My knife can use some sharpening"
Pyotr says, "I have a whetstone in my pack. A dull knife won't hurt a wolf much."

Era says (to Pyotr), "I'm about to find out."
Era attempts to speak with the wolves. "Why have you come here? Whom do you seek?"
Raelynn looks startled. Era speaks "Wolf"?
Wolf falters a bit at the challenge, looks up at Era.

Raelynn speeds out of the gate and sees a flash of gray. Blindly she brings the knife down on the body

Charles finally stabs the wolf to death, but doesn't stop to acknlowedge that. He continues hacking at the warm corpse, spilling entrails onto the snow, and then cutting off one of its ears.
[Crows-Nest] Raelynn asks, "edify the ignorant. what's an interrupt action?"
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says, "spend 2 actions to get one action in the current phase"
Alixandre asks, "Oh dear, you actually *want* part of that animal's fur?"
[Crows-Nest] Charles says, "Spending two future actions to act immediately instead."
Raelynn looks up, sees what Charles is doing, and promptly gets sick again
Alixandre says, "Here, if you would like, you could make a second from the remnants on my clothing."
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says, "it is useful if, eg, you want to actively parry somebody's attack but don't have a held action, or if you want to attack before them"
Charles looks up at Alix growling, with a less than human expression in his eyes.
GM throws a drama die at Charles.
[ussura] GM exclaims, "3! Then 4, since nobody's on 3!"
[ussura] GM says, "(Raelynn)"
[ussura] GM asks, "Raelynn?"
[ussura] Raelynn says, "here"
[ussura] GM says, "You get to go."
[ussura] Raelynn says, "trying to recover from my illness"

Raelynn swings her knife weakly at the wolf, but at the last minute, her vision clears and the queasiness passes. She brings the knife down on to the shoulder.
[ussura] GM exclaims, "5!"
[ussura] Pyotr asks, "and I still have a somewhat-damaged wolf?"
[ussura] GM says, "Yeah. 1 major, 16 flesh."
[ussura] Pyotr says, "okay, on 4 I attack it"

Pyotr swings his axe around and beheads the wolf.

[ussura] Alixandre exclaims, "me!"
[ussura] GM says, "with a 5 9"
[ussura] Alixandre asks, "what other wolfs are there?"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "I have 5 9 left"
[ussura] Sebastien says (to Alixandre), "just the one by me"
[ussura] Pyotr says, "I guess we could share"
[ussura] GM says, "So you can both simultaneously attack the last wolf."
Pyotr rushes over to the last wolf, axe in the air.
[ussura] Alixandre exclaims, "sure!"

Alixandre rushes from the other side, poking with his very besmirched knife.

Pyotr's axe bites into the wolf's side a Alix's knife stabs its head.
GM says, "And at that, the battle is finished."
Raelynn debates getting sick again
Alixandre says (to Wolf), "You...you can keep that one."
Sebastien exclaims, "thank you all! I think we may yet be in time!"
Alixandre says, "I'm sure I have another."
Sebastien whips out a needle and thread from his back pocket and begins hastily sewing up his legging
[Crows-Nest] Pyotr does his victor dance while swinging his axe. Numbers flash over his head as he finds gold on the wolf.
GM says, "Era seems to have subdued three wolves on her own, off to one side. They lie sleeping."
[Crows-Nest] Sebastien says, "hee hee"
Raelynn walks back to the gate unsteadily and back into the compound
GM exclaims, "And we're quite late, so we'll do mop-up next week!"
GM says, "Thank you all, and good night."
Sebastien says, "yay, thanks for staying late"
Alixandre says, "woo"
Pyotr says, "yay"
Raelynn says, "yay bedtime"
Sebastien says, "any session in which I spend four drama dice not on swimming is a good session"
Raelynn goes home.
GM laughs.
Alixandre says (to Sebastien), "hee hee"
GM has disconnected.
npc1 has disconnected.
