[vodacce] PerrySimm says, "Log on."

(From Wilson) Amber . o O (Hmm, spring-loaded pistols...)

Venzi . o O ( spring-loaded pants )

Wilson says (to Niccolo), "Either that, or the senator is so happy we get hundreds of governors."

GM has connected.

Wilson exclaims (at Venzi), "Yay!"

Giancarlo . o O ( spring-loaded springs )

Giancarlo exclaims, "Yay GM!"

GM says, "I hear tell there's a GAME tonight."

Niccolo asks, "Woo. Is it the interactive sort?"

Giancarlo exclaims, "ook, arrr!"

Venzi says, "that is word in the canal"

npc1 has connected.

npc2 has connected.

Chiara says, "Let's not talk about being in the canal"

Wilson says (to Venzi), "And you'd know."

Niccolo says (to Venzi), "I thought the word in the canal was 'glubglub'."

Chiara is still trying to get her dress wrung out

[vodacce] GM says, "I am willing to answer any questions, but like Google I shall charge for them."

Venzi says (to Niccolo), "depends how one's swimming rolls go"

[vodacce] Chiara asks, "1XP/question?"

(From Wilson) Amber says, "I prefer not to have my rolls swim."

[vodacce] GM says, "I also accept drama dice"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Since they're of no use now anyway ;-)"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "I believe I expended all mine on the fruitless attempt to find THAT RAT BASTARD also known as Dixon"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Can I gain XP back by answering othe-- waitaminute, that's a question... never mind."

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "yay"

[vodacce] Wilson and Amber laugh.

[vodacce] GM says, "Let's determine where everyone was at the conclusion of the last marathon game."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "In bed, mostly."

[vodacce] GM says, "Venzi was leading Chiara back"

[vodacce] GM says, "Niccolo had gone ahead"

[vodacce] Giancarlo was going to get a quick bath and then sleep.

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Tho' I was up with a little late-night readin'."

Niccolo believes he was heading to bed, yes.

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Hadn't we all gotten back already?"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to GM), "We had all made it back to the manor."

[vodacce] GM says, "Wilson, Giancarlo, and Amber had talked to Fortunato"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "I was going to bed"

[vodacce] Chiara exclaims (at Venzi), "you said we were going to talk to Fortunato!"

[vodacce] GM says (to Venzi), "Watch out; you've seen how she wants to deal with those who lie to her."

[vodacce] GM says (to Wilson), "'Day 5. Still not Ambassador.'"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "but, um, I guess I'll rejoin the scene when it picks up in the morning, sure"

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Chiara), "I found out he'd gone to bed -- surely you don't want to wake him up"

[vodacce] Niccolo (to Chiara) | Venzi and Chiara eventually arrive back at the mansion also

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "At which point Niccolo told them that Fortunato was asleep anyway."

[vodacce] (from Chiara) | Chiara is still sharpening her Knife.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "but sure"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "let us proceed"

[vodacce] GM asks, "Since it's around five in the morning, how late are people sleeping?"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "9"

[vodacce] Amber says, "depends on how long things took the night before."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Hmm. Thought it was around three. Anyway, I guess I'll sleep until I wake, or something wakes me."

[vodacce] Amber says, "and on when Chiara wants to get up."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "5 in the morning? Screw sleep ... Gian's getting a bath and lots of coffee."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "I don't exactly have a miniature bell clock in my bedroom, that I know of..."

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "That was before riding around all over creation, wandering around the docks, finding dead bodies..."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "I'm sleeping in late unless someone wakes me"

[vodacce] Chiara asks (of Niccolo), "nor a cuckoo clock that chimes for the same amount of time each time?"

[vodacce] GM says (to Venzi), "It's you're 8:30 wake-up call...FROM SIR GUY"

[vodacce] Wilson is sure to wake Venzi when he needs him.

[vodacce] GM says, "s/you're/your/"

[vodacce] Amber says, "or 8:30."

[vodacce] Chiara is too troubled to sleep long

Amber groans and rubs her eyes.

[vodacce] Niccolo says (to Chiara), "Hee."

Amber asks, "Its too early! Where's the coffee?"

Giancarlo knows from experience that once you stay awake past a certain hour, there's really no point going to bed -- that only makes things worse.

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Can I have coffee brought up to our rooms?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Er, I mean, Can I have had coffee brought up to our rooms?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Sure. I expect there are still some people very awake in the kitchen"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "(What time are people RPing?)"

[vodacce] Niccolo says (to GM), "Or perhaps s/still/already/ :)"

Amber stumbles about the room, getting herself ready to greet the day (and a grumpy non-morning room-mate).

Giancarlo didn't sleep ... other than maybe a nap in the bathtub. He's up and ordering breakfast up for the others.

Amber gets herself dressed, and heads to the kitchen to fetch coffee and rolls for herself, and hot chocolate and white cheese for someone else.

Venzi eventually wakes up and looks around for Wilson.

Chiara gets up and dresses very simply (for her), then gets out her knife and inspects it thoughtfully.

Giancarlo says (to Amber), "Ah, you're awake. Here, that tray there is for you and Chiara."

Giancarlo says (to Servant), "No no, stronger ... I've got to be able to stand a spoon up in it."

Niccolo sleeps quietly.

Servant says (to Giancarlo), "Sir, while you were out a letter arrived for you."

Giancarlo says (to Servant), "Si? Give it to me."

Servant hands a letter to Giancarlo.

Giancarlo tears it open and reads it.

Amber takes the tray, and adds some more cheese.

Giancarlo frowns, crumples the letter up and tucks it inside a pocket.

Ridolfo arrives in the hallway outside your rooms.

Venzi is just stepping out into the hallway

Amber asks (of Giancarlo), "What was that all about?"

Venzi says, "so, we have survived the night"

Giancarlo grabs Wilson's/Venzi's tray, gestures to a servant to take Niccolo's tray.

Ridolfo says (to Venzi), "Ah, good morning. I hear you have had a rip-snorting adventure."

Giancarlo says (to Amber), "Milord's instructions."

Amber asks (of Gian), "Regarding?"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "(What time is it?)"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "(Also, is everyone talking in the hallway right outside our rooms?)"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "yes"

Giancarlo says (to Amber), "A mission. I shall have to be on the next ship out of here."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "and 10 or 11, I expect"

[vodacce] GM says, "It's around nine to ten, yes."

Niccolo peers out into the hall, still dressed in his (now rather wrinkled) clothes from yesterday.

Amber says (to Gian), "I'm sorry to hear that. We shall miss you."

Ridolfo says, "I also heard that all of you returned safely."

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of Niccolo), "They're still wet, then?"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Hopefully, five hours has left them merely damp."

Venzi is also dressed in what has now slipped to his third-best outfit

Giancarlo says (to Amber), "Si. Well ... I'm not sure, but you might be interested in following. I'm to head for Villanova's island, you see. Dionna university."

Niccolo asks, "Izzit mornig again?"

Venzi says, "I am afraid so"

Venzi cough

Ridolfo says, "I was sent here to tell you that Fortunato would like to see all of you sometime before lunch."

Venzi says, "an odd coincidence"

Venzi says (to Ridolfo), "I have no doubt he would"

Niccolo nods, closing his door.

Venzi asks (of Ridolfo), "is he available now?"

Giancarlo is walking up with tray as he speaks. Greets Nico and Venzi along the way.

Amber says (to Giancarlo), "That sounds interesting. . ."

Ridolfo says (to Venzi), "He should be shortly."

Amber says (to Chiara), "Can I come in? <knocking>"

Chiara opens the door, peers out.

[vodacce] Niccolo says (to Gian), "Ha ha, missed me."

Giancarlo bangs on Wilson's door. "INQUISITION! OPEN UP!"

Chiara says, "My, a conference."

Chiara takes a piece of cheese off the tray and one of the cups of coffee with the other hand.

Wilson calls out "Hush, you!"

Ridolfo says (to Chiara), "I beg your pardon. I was just bringing word that Fortunato would like to speak with the six of you."

Amber says (to Chiara), "(Of Giancarlo) That was unexpected."

Chiara says (to Ridolfo), "That's convenient; I was just hoping to speak to him."

Venzi steps inside to talk to Wilson. "Fortunato has requested us downstairs -- did you find anything in the book?"

Wilson sticks his head out the door "I was listening." He looks rather blearly, as if he's been up all night reading. Odd, because he has.

Chiara says (to Amber), "(whispered) I have long doubted his sanity a bit..."

Niccolo eventually comes out again, now dressed in something clean, if hopelessly plain and even a bit worn.

Giancarlo grins and thrusts the tray into Wilson's hands.

Giancarlo says (to Amber), "I couldn't resist..."

Ridolfo says, "He will be waiting for you in the lounge below this hallway shortly."

Wilson says, "I haven't gotten to anything interesting yet. Details about what Sir Guy was doing, potential trade arrangements, that sort of thing."

Venzi says, "right."

Ridolfo bows and heads down the hall.

Venzi says, "well"

Wilson asks (of Ridolfo), "Hey, how's the Contessa doing?"

Ridolfo calls (to Wilson), "Better, now."

Niccolo says (aside, to Venzi), "Was that a 'waiting for you' as in all of us, or was he talking to just some of you?"

Wilson exclaims, "Great!"

Venzi says (to Niccolo), "he said we were all to go down"

Niccolo nods, swiping some toast off of Wilson's tray.

Venzi says, "I know I'm anxious to find out the rest of what happened from the others, so I expect he's twice as eager since he's heard from neither of us"

Venzi says, "er, at least, to the best of my knowledge"

Wilson says, "Amber aand I talked tohim last night, so he's pretty much up to speed."

Venzi says, "ah, good"

Amber says, "The we shouldn't keep them waiting." She gulps down the last of her coffee."

Venzi says, "right"

Chiara is ready to go.

Wilson yawns, slips the journal in his pocket.

Venzi steps downstairs, tapping his sword-hilt thoughtfully

Niccolo also 'borrows' a sausage, and heads downstairs.

Giancarlo stifles a yawn. "Well, I'm ready."

Giancarlo follows on downstairs.

[Crows-Nest] GM says, "You 'borrow the sausage'"

Amber gives her weapons a last pat, and heads down the stairs.

[vodacce] GM says (to Amber), "you never did get to use your springy knives"

[Crows-Nest] Venzi says, "as much as the next courtesan"

[vodacce] GM says, "perhaps you should practice on Fortunato"

[vodacce] Amber sighs about the knives.

[vodacce] Amber says, "I know. I've not had a good opportunity to use them. But I will"

Amber exclaims, "!"

GM says, "Downstairs there is indeed a small lounge with a number of chairs. Fortunato is munching on some bread."

Wilson yawns again. "Morning!"

Niccolo says (to Fortunato), "Good morning."

Venzi asks (of Fortunato), "fine day, is it not?"

Fortunato says, "Much better than the last few ones, yes."

Amber says, "That would not be difficult, I'm afraid."

Chiara asks (of Fortunato), "any word of the thrice-cursed fugitive, may his soul rot and all his bodily parts succumb to leprosy?"

Niccolo says, "You're looking better this morning."

Wilson asks (of Fortunato), "I assume the posted guards did not find Sir Guy, aka 'John'?"

Giancarlo glances at Chiara, eyebrows raised a notch.

Fortunato says (to Chiara), "Goodness. I should have set you on the trail, courtesan or no."

Fortunato says, "No, the 'thrice-cursed fugitive' is still a fugitive."

Amber says (to Fortunato), "And next time, I *will* remove his head."

Fortunato says, "Frankly, I am surprised his head was still attached at all."

[vodacce] Chiara says, "as was everyone but the GM"

Amber says, "I suspect dark magic."

Niccolo says, "He apparently had some sort of device."

Fortunato says, "We have indications that he fled through the forest after taking a horse from some poor unfortunate left dead by the docks."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "The GM was surprised when the initial wounding took place ;-)"

Venzi asks, "horse for a cloak, hunh?"

Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "This is one of the things I would like to discuss."

Fortunato asks (of Venzi), "Eh?"

[vodacce] GM says, "I know all; and if I don't, I'm not admitting I don't."

Niccolo says (to Fortunato), "I don't know the fate of the body of it, but he took what may have been an important component with him, when he fled."

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "but if it helps, he introduced me at the dance to a 'friend' of his, a maker of devices named Milo Rambaldi."

Wilson exclaims, "A crystal!"

Fortunato asks, "Rambaldi?"

Venzi says (to Fortunato), "we found the corpse, I think, wearing John's cloak"

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "so he claimed"

Niccolo says (to Wilson), "Is that what it was? It was hard to see from the doorway."

Fortunato says, "I shall be most distressed if he has been plotting against our house."

Venzi says (to Fortunato), "with a slip of paper in the pocket"

Fortunato asks, "John?"

Wilson says, "I probably had the best view of it. I'll try to sketch it."

Fortunato says, "Wait, wait -- let us back up a bit."

Venzi says (to Fortunato), "was his actual name, yes"

Fortunato says, "I know you went into the sewers, and shortly thereafter there was some explosion which was seen in one of the covered canals."

Niccolo says, "John was apparently in some way connected to the actual Dixon."

Niccolo says, "A servant, possibly."

Fortunato says, "Several of you appeared at the docks shortly thereafter and gave chase, but Dixon had escaped."

Wilson says (to niccolo), "'Right hand man', according to the fellow in the kilt."

Fortunato says (to Amber and Giancarlo), "The two of you, though, found Riccalbano."

Giancarlo nods.

Venzi asks (of Amber), "yes, how was the way of that?"

Fortunato asks, "What I need to know is: what transpired in the sewers?"

Fortunato asks, "And how did you come to find Riccalbano?"

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "we found Dixon and Danel in a room with a device; Wilson and I attempted to speak with him, but Dixon grew more and more upset, and shot Danel. A fight ensued, Danel was killed (I believe), and Dixon jumped through a hole into a chute with a boat at the end"

Fortunato says, "Chronological order, please. My brain is still a little slow this early in the morning."

Chiara looks out of breath

Amber says, "There was a map, and found the spot the X marked."

[vodacce] GM says, "Pretend Fortunato said that before Chiara's summary."

Venzi says, "there was a strange machine in Dixon's room"

Venzi says, "and in the other room, there were many maps and chests, including an excellent map of this estate"

Giancarlo says, "We found a chest containing another device, as well as a map of the sewers. Si, as Amber says, the marked entrance seemed significant ... we found Riccalbano hidden there."

Fortunato asks, "An estate map? You didn't happen to bring it back, did you? Or the -- two? -- devices?"

Niccolo says (to Chiara), "You might want to start with the trail of blood in the sewers. Or perhaps not."

Chiara says (to Niccolo), "I was omitting that as beyond the pale of good taste"

Giancarlo says, "The estate map was destroyed in the explosion."

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "the machine did not seem very portable."

Fortunato says, "I also note that the cause of the explosion has not been given."

Niccolo asks, "Was the explosion that flash of light?"

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "Hot oil, I think -- Dixon set something in motion that filled the rooms with a mist of it"

Giancarlo says, "We did salvage the device from the chest. We could show you where it is."

Venzi says, "I was not there for that part, having pursued Dixon"

Niccolo says, "We could see it from the canal."

Chiara says, "he mentioned the hot oil earlier, but we did not know what he had in mind"

Fortunato says, "Damn, damn, damn. Were the sewers not so extensive and so poorly mapped I should have men patrolling them."

Wilson says (to Gian), "With any luck, the guards are still guarding it, to make sure nobody comes by to pick it up."

Fortunato says (to Giancarlo), "Once we are done, I will need to send men to retrieve that chest."

Fortunato says (to Wilson), "I may also require your services, assuming you can read Avalonian."

Giancarlo asks, "Perhaps this map of the sewers might help?"

Fortunato says (to Giancarlo), "Ah! Yes, that would me most helpful."

Wilson says, "I would be happy to serve."

Niccolo checks his pockets, "Map, map... ah. Here's the map you lent us yesterday. I don't think the water damaged it much."

Giancarlo hands the map over.

Fortunato says, "Pity Danel is dead. There is much he might have been persuaded to reveal."

Fortunato smiles, ever so slightly.

Chiara says, "I am inclined to believe that is why Dixon shot him."

Venzi says, "hrm"

Venzi says, "Dixon seemed to speak of his actions with, hmm, religious conviction"

Niccolo says (to Venzi), "John, you mean."

Venzi says, "precisely"

GM says, "There is a knock on the door."

Fortunato holds up a hand. "Yes?"

Servant says, "I have a message for Fortunato."

Venzi asks, "a message from John, perhaps?"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "A few moments later, a courtesan comes to the door, with a massage for Fortunato."

Fortunato stands somewhat shakily and opens the door. He talks with the servant for a moment, then withdraws his head and closes the door. He takes his seat again, holding a piece of paper.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "I think that's when we're all asked to leave."

[vodacce] Amber says, "no, thats only when the courtesan stays."

Fortunato says, "Damn that man. He is too resourceful by half."

Giancarlo asks, "What's happened now?"

Wilson asks, "What now?"

Fortunato says, "I have word from Estivo della Verde. He must have ridden that horse to death, and possibly one or two others besides."

Giancarlo asks, "There is news on his eventual destination?"

Fortunato says, "One of my informants saw a man matching Sir -- John's description board one of the boats there."

Fortunato says, "Were it he, then he is well on his way to Villanova Island."

Venzi winces

Giancarlo says, "Then we shall follow, of course."

Venzi says, "well, that explains the note, then"

Venzi says (to Giancarlo), "easy for you to say"

Giancarlo asks (of Others), "are you with me?"

Fortunato asks (of Venzi), "Yes, you had mentioned the note. What was on it?"

Chiara says (to Giancarlo), "Ahead of you, more likely."

Venzi says (to Fortunato), "'Dionna'"

Niccolo says (to Gian), "Unfortunately, some of us must still work for a living."

Giancarlo says (to Chiara), "So you've already booked your fare to Dionna? Very resourceful of you."

Fortunato pauses, then swears.

Niccolo glances at Fortunato.

Fortunato asks, "But allied with Villanova, or does he have a similar plan for them?"

Amber looks quizzically at Chiara.

Fortunato says, "Damn that man, damn Danel, damn the lot of them."

Venzi asks, "I think we had best examine the documents we retrieved from his lair, hmm?"

Wilson says, "Danel: check."

Wilson says, "Others: not yet."

Niccolo asks, "Where was his body left?"

Fortunato says (to Venzi), "Yes. I hate to impose upon the six of you further, but if you could remain nearby for a while, I will have my men fetch the trunk."

Venzi says, "please do"

Venzi asks, "Wilson has his diary now, though, doesn't he?"

Wilson says, "Oh, right."

Fortunato says (to Giancarlo), "and if I can have that map, they will have a look at Sir Guy -- pfeh, John's lair."

Wilson pulls it out.

Fortunato asks, "What is in this diary?"

Wilson says, "Amber and Gian found it in the trunk."

[vodacce] GM says, "'Day 8: Am ambassador. Yay me!'"

Wilson says, "I haven't read anything particularly interesting in it yet, though."

Giancarlo says (to Fortunato), "Of course."

Giancarlo hands over the map.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

Venzi says, "presumably you had best retrieve the remains of the machine, too"

Venzi says, "though I doubt what luck you'll have puzzling out its purpose"

Wilson says (to Venzi), "There was a pristine machine in the trunk, as well."

Fortunato says (to Venzi), "I plan on doing so. And I think Rambaldi needs to visit here again."

Venzi says, "Rambal-- exactly"

Fortunato says, "The six of you may have run of the estate. I should be ready to meet with you again in roughly an hour."

Wilson says, "My best guess, from Amber and Gian's description, is that the machine provides sparks. The mist of oil came from somewhere else, and the machine set it off."

Giancarlo says, "Thank you."

Niccolo nods.

Venzi says, "I believe Niccolo mentioned lanterns left behind"

Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "and if you could wait a moment, I would like to have a word with you."

Fortunato says, "I will see the rest of you in an hour."

Chiara recognizes her cue and steps outside.

Wilson says, "I'll be here."

Ridolfo jumps back from the door where he was most certainly not listening.

Niccolo says (to Venzi), "Hmm. I rather lost track of where the lanterns ended up, except mine, which I think is at the bottom of that canal."

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "Hee!"

Niccolo says (to Fortunato), "Certainly."

Amber steps out.

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Unless Fortunato isn't leaving the room, I stay here and keep reading the journal."

[vodacce] GM says, "Fortunato is still here, meeting with Niccolo."

Amber says (to Chiara), "More coffee? I could certainly use some."

[interludes] GM has removed Venzi from the channel.

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Right, then."

Giancarlo says (to Fortunato), "Until later. (whispering:) and, if you do not mind, there is a prisoner I should like to visit later, before I leave for good...."

[interludes] GM has removed Chiara from the channel.

Wilson heads back up to his room, keeps reading.

Venzi steps out as well.

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "How much pointed staring does it take for Wilson to realize? Contested Resolve, Fortunato v Wilson."

Fortunato nods at Giancarlo.

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of GM), "Unless that was it?"

Giancarlo bows and leaves.

Ridolfo asks, "There the six of you -- five?"

Venzi says, "Niccolo is still in discussion"

[vodacce] GM exclaims (at Niccolo), "yay!"

Venzi says, "arranging for him to leave and still earn his living, no doubt"

Fortunato closes the door, glaring at Ridolfo.

Ridolfo waves to Fortunato.

Ridolfo says, "Bright man. No sense of humor."

Chiara says (to Amber), "certainly."

Amber says (to Others), "Anyone else? I'll fetch a pot."

Amber heads to the kitchen to fetch a coffee service.

Giancarlo says, "I've had as much coffee as I can stand, and a bit more."

Venzi follows Amber and picks up a loaf of bread and some grapes, and perhaps a small wedge of cheese.

Giancarlo says, "I think ... I think there is one last person I should see..."

Ridolfo exclaims, "So I have letters for -- wait!"

Chiara neglects to follow the train to the kitchen.

Giancarlo pauses.

Venzi asks, "oh?"

[interludes] Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "I heard you mention employment."

Ridolfo says, "One for you --" handing a letter to Venzi, "-- and to you," handling a letter to Chiara."

[interludes] Niccolo says, "Mmhmm."

Chiara takes her letter, and opens it impatiently

Amber returns from the kitchen bearing a coffee pot, mugs, and all the acoutrements.

Ridolfo says (to Giancarlo), "What you sought you now know; the Contessa thanks you for your assistance."

Ridolfo says (to Amber), "and your payment as well has occured in the natural order of things."

Venzi slices open his letter with a knife

Amber asks (of Ridolfo), "What do you mean?"

Ridolfo asks (of Amber), "Do you recall what the Contessa promised?"

Ridolfo says (to Amber), "Word of your exploits spreads already."

Venzi coughs, suddenly, and folds the letter and puts it away.

Amber adds creamer, and stirs.

Venzi says (to Ridolfo), "thank her, if you would"

Chiara laughs, half under her breath, and tucks the letter somewhere about her person.

Ridolfo says, "Of course."

[interludes] Niccolo asks, "Most of my customers are in the area... do you know of someone who might wish my services abroad, perhaps at Villanova?"

Amber says (to Ridolfo), "Remind me, if you will."

Chiara says (to Ridolfo), "And tell her her news is most... convenient."

Ridolfo says (to Chiara), "I expect she already knows. She is often like that."

Giancarlo just smiles to himself and strolls off.

Chiara says, "Indeed."

[interludes] Fortunato says, "I spoke half-jokingly of hiring you to work for me."

[interludes] Fortunato says, "Given the events of the last few days, I can think of few others I would send to Villanova Island after John."

[interludes2] GM has added Chiara to the channel.

[interludes] Niccolo inclines his head gratefully at the compliment.

[interludes2] GM has removed Amber from the channel.

[interludes2] GM has removed Wilson from the channel.

Chiara leaves the room.

[interludes] Fortunato says, "for what I need is someone with a sharp eye and a subtle manner."

Ridolfo says, "Her thanks, and mine. You have done the House a great service."

[interludes2] Chiara goes looking for Abrielle.

Giancarlo is headed for Stefani diTomaso's quarters.

Venzi wanders outside to sit in the sun and eat some grapes

[interludes2] GM says (to Chiara), "You have no problem finding her room."

[interludes2] Chiara knocks on the door

[interludes] Fortunato asks, "Might you be willing?"

[interludes2] Abrielle asks, "Yes?"

[interludes2] Chiara says, "it is I, Chiara"

[interludes2] Abrielle opens the door. "Chiara," she says guardedly.

[interludes] Niccolo says, "I would."

[interludes2] Chiara says, "Good morning. I came on business..." (making a familiar sign) "... after the events of last night.""

[interludes] Niccolo says, "(I'm trying to figure out how I'd be expected to broach the topic of payment)"

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I thought you might. Please, come in."

[interludes2] Chiara does so

[interludes] Niccolo says, "(And something tells me that's the sort of thing the other person usually brings up, except he isn't.)"

[interludes] Fortunato says, "I do not know what your standard pay is for information."

[interludes2] Abrielle closes the door behind her.

[interludes] Fortunato says, "But I expect we could come to a reasonable arrangement."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I understand Sir Guy is not who he claimed to be."

Wilson says (to Ridolfo), "As for myself, I haven't had a lot of time to, ah, annotate much yet. I'd appreciate some more time. And..."

[interludes2] Chiara says (to Abrielle), "I am a bit concerned about what Dixon-- John-- now knows. (He wasn't really Sir Guy at all, if you haven't heard.)"

[interludes2] Chiara says, "but if he is not to be trusted..."

[interludes2] Chiara says, "he becomes a bit of a liability for us"

[interludes] Niccolo nods, "I'm certain. I'd be honored to finish what has been started."

[interludes] Fortunato says, "I will need to speak to Meander, but we should be able to settle accounts this afternoon."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "Yes."

Wilson says (to Rildolfo), "She seems lonely, up there in that room all by herself. If she would appreciate the company, I'd like to do it there, and just... chat."

Wilson says, "I may be one of the few people who can do that with her--everyone else would be vying for something."

[interludes2] Chiara asks, "How much does he know?"

Ridolfo says (to Wilson), "That might be possible."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "He knows something of what we are up to."

[interludes] Niccolo makes a few appropriate notes on a piece of scrap paper, regarding such matters as time, travel, danger, etc, which he gives to Fortunato.

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I gave him no names, but I do not know what he might have figured out on his own."

[interludes2] Chiara nods. "But contacts, names...? Hmm."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I'm also afraid what he might do to my contacts here if and when he returns."

Wilson says (to Ridolfo), "Well, do ask."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "He's just vying for the spiders' attentions."

[interludes2] Chiara sighs. "He always seemed very sympathetic."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Heh. That, I was already promised."

[interludes2] Chiara says (to Abrielle), "Yes. I'd like to see that he does not survive to return."

[interludes] Niccolo asks, "I suspect you'll want me to travel with Giancarlo and Chiara?"

[interludes] Fortunato says, "Ah, yes, this will do nicely."

[interludes] Fortunato says, "And I think you would do well with support, and the two of them seem to be self-motivated."

[interludes] Niccolo nods.

[interludes2] Abrielle asks, "Do you know where he has gone?"

[interludes2] Chiara says, "According to Fortunato, there's evidence that he headed for Villanova. Some of us intend to follow him there."

[interludes] Fortunato says, "Now I need to go track down the chest. We shall speak this afternoon."

[interludes2] Abrielle asks, "Villanova? Villanova *Island*?"

[interludes] Niccolo says, "Yes. And I should tell them that they'll have another companion."

[interludes2] Chiara says, "Yes."

[interludes] Niccolo exits.

[interludes] Ridolfo has removed Niccolo from the channel.

[interludes2] Chiara says, "to Dionna, quite possibly"

[interludes] Ridolfo has added Giancarlo to the channel.

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "That is unsettling."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "(arr)"

[interludes] Ridolfo says (to Giancarlo), "Go ahead."

[interludes2] Chiara asks, "any particular reason?"

[interludes] Giancarlo pauses to listen to see if Stefani is up before knocking.

[interludes2] Chiara says, "I mean, other than the obvious ones."

Niccolo comes out of the room, finally.

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "Villanova Island is one of the major centers for our order."

[interludes] Ridolfo says, "You hear moving-around noises."

[interludes2] Chiara nods as though she already knew that (though it's up to you to guess whether this is true.)

Wilson looks up from the journal he had started reading again. "How did it go?"

[interludes] Giancarlo knocks

Niccolo says, "Quite well. I think I'll be joining that little excursion to Villanova after all."

[interludes2] Chiara says, "so do you think he has plans that involve damaging us? If he was behind Livio's murder..."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I don't know. And I fear we will find out the hard way."

[interludes] Stefani asks, "Si?"

[interludes2] Chiara says, "well, it seems that I am heading there myself."

[interludes2] Chiara asks, "Is there anyone I should contact there when I arrive?"

[interludes2] Chiara asks, "At Dionna, perhaps?"

Niccolo looks around, realizes that most folks have gone off already, and goes off to the kitchen himself. To grab some lunch and gossip with the kitchen staff.

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "Signor diTomaso, I presume? Signor Bernini here."

[interludes2] Chiara says, "if it is as bad as we fear, they should be warned-- and their help would be useful."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I can give you a name of someone from Dionna."

[interludes2] Chiara says, "That would be most helpful."

Wilson frowns. "Hmm, wonder if I should go."

[interludes] Stefani asks, "Yes? How can I help you?"

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "(er, is door open?)"

[interludes] GM says, "(not yet)"

[interludes2] Chiara sighs. "I'm sorry if it has been like this... I wish we might have known each other under less trying circumstances."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "A quick social visit, signor, before the day claims your time."

[interludes] Stefani opens the door. "Very well, but please be quick."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "Yes. It would have been good to have an ally of your caliber."

Wilson says, "I really shouldn't go right away, at least. I have duties to my patron yet to perform here. But it does sound interesting."

[interludes2] Chiara smiles. "Perhaps we will meet again."

[interludes] Giancarlo grinning broadly, "of course. I don't think I got the chance the last time we spoke ... but I wished to congratulate you properly on your wedding."

[interludes2] Abrielle says, "I hope so."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "and allow me of course to convey milord Bernoulli's congratulations as well."

[interludes] Stefani nods. "My thanks."

[interludes2] Chiara makes any final farewells required by etiquette and rejoins the others.

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of GM), "Was the bit you gave me the entirety of the journal, or was there more?"

[interludes2] Abrielle shows Abrielle out.

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "She is a fine young lady, from what I have seen so far. She should make you an excellent wife, although....""

[interludes] Giancarlo pauses, as if catching himself.

[interludes] Giancarlo pauses, as if catching himself.

[interludes] Stefani asks, "'Although'?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Pretty much. Including the 'yay me'"

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "it is probably nothing"

[vodacce] Chiara laughs

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "That's it? Crap."

[interludes] Stefani says, "It is probably enough for you to mention."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "What were the things he was supposed to do in Emelia?"

Chiara reappears among the others.

[vodacce] GM says, "There's not a lot of information. Mention of a trade agreement in the works with Meander."

[interludes] Giancarlo asks, "Well ... it did occur to me ... gentleman of your position and all ... but ... she's a fine young lady, and I'm sure her education is quite as much as one might expect for a young noblewoman ... but ... she's not exactly 'finished', is she?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "This man superglues his cards to his chest hairs."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "heeheeew"

[interludes] Stefani says, "Yes, but she is Meander's child. What she lacks in polish she makes up in family."

Chiara munches on cheeses and drinks coffee.

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "(Much better than the other way around)"

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "<frown> I'd have called it a slight ... passing off unp- ... but perhaps you are right."

[vodacce] Wilson . o O ( Two curls and a left turn--the jack of clubs! )

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "<frown> I'd have called it a slight ... passing off unp- ... but perhaps you are right."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "(oop, darn enter key)"

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "it's probably best no-one insisted on anything."

[interludes] Stefani asks, "A question for you. Does Bernoulli have any thoughts on this match, that you know of?"

Niccolo, after chatting and having some of whatever the servants are having, heads back to someplace where he's likely to meet people the he ought to run into at some point.

Venzi is walking back around the same time

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "My Prince? Well, he certainly doesn't disapprove...."

[vodacce] GM says, "I am finishing up Sekrit Bidness"

Amber joins them

Wilson keeps reading the journal, growing more and more disgusted with lack of information therein.

[vodacce] Amber is ready to meet her DESTINY.

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "Though, just between the two of us...."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "I think he'd be more impressed by a girl who'd been educated in the finer arts of wifely duties."

[interludes] Stefani says, "Ah."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "a better cook ... a better household manager ... these things are quite beyond price."

[interludes] Stefani says, "I do appreciate your information, and I assure you that she will be most trainable."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "Si, signor."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "Ah, as a suggestion ... Lately milord Bernoulli did send a niece to the Dilatente finishing school...."

[interludes] Stefani asks, "Oh? Was he pleased with the results?"

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "Si, very."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "As a bride, she was (figuratively) head and shoulders above the rest."

[interludes] Stefani says, "I will certainly consider your suggestion."

[interludes] Giancarlo says, "My congratulations to you again, signor. I'm sure she would be a most radiant bride."

Giancarlo bows and backs out.

[interludes] Stefani says, "Thank you. Good day."

[interludes] Giancarlo bows and backs out.

Giancarlo says, "(channel)"

[vodacce] GM says, "And now we can Get On With It."

[interludes] GM has removed Giancarlo from the channel.

Giancarlo smiles like the cat that ate the canary and heads back down to where he left the others.

Fortunato enters, with two soldiers bearing a chest.

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "Yay Scene 23!"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "yay 20 minutes of wrapup at one and a half hour mark"

[vodacce] GM says, "Sorry, I meant 'soldiers walking abreast'"

[vodacce] Wilson laughs and laughs.

[vodacce] GM says (to Venzi), "Blame the 'I just want to go talk to' 'do you mind if I have an interludes with' people."

Fortunato says, "In through here."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hey, I'm not objecting"

[vodacce] GM says, "I THINK YOU ARE"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "Sorry, I just have a couple of loose ends that I really really wanted to tie up."

Fortunato says, "And stay outside and guard the door."

Wilson enters with interest.

Fortunato waits for the others to join him in the room.

Venzi steps in also, nodding to the guards.

Amber grins at guard_2 on her way in.

Guard_1 says (to Amber), "hi"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of GM), "You mean Fortunato?"

Guard_2 exclaims (at Amber), "hi!"

Giancarlo nods to the guards as he passes inside.

Niccolo nods to Fortunato.

[vodacce] Guard_2 asks (of Niccolo), "?"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Re: 'Blame the ... people.'"

[vodacce] GM says, "Hey, it wouldn't have been necessary, Mr. I-Have-To-Make-A-Living-Somehow."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Hee."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "I so apologise for taking this pesky background."

Fortunato asks, "Chiara?"

Chiara is already there, she thought.

Fortunato says, "Ah, there you are."

Fortunato closes the door.

[vodacce] Wilson thought it was Amber withthe 'Small' advantage.

Fortunato asks, "..Wilson First, what was in the journal?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "I guess Chiara has the 'Slight' advantage."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "sneaky but not small"

[vodacce] GM says (to Wilson), "'slighted'"

Wilson says, "Details about Dixon's plans. The original Dixon. Pretty dry stuff."

[Crows-Nest] Niccolo says (to Venzi), "I bet that's what she said about 'Dixon', too."

Fortunato asks, "The original Dixon or John?"

[Crows-Nest] Venzi says, "hee hee"

Venzi asks, "can we tell?"

Wilson says, "His routine, who he knows, how he does business, trades he was a part of, the trades he was planning in Emelia."

Venzi asks, "when do the entries stop? or are they current?"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Wasn't it the original Dixon?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Hard to tell"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Was the handwriting in the hand of the guy who was practicing Dixon's signature?"

[vodacce] Venzi laughs

[vodacce] GM says, "Possibly, possibly."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Also, are they dates?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, ""does this look like dixon's handwriting, or like someone imitating dixon's handwriting?""

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Or figs?"

[vodacce] GM says, "There are dates associated with some, but it's not a LiveJournal-style journal."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Does it look like the handwriting on the candle figures sheet?"

[vodacce] GM asks (of Niccolo), "You got the candle figures sheet to compare it with?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of GM), "So, no teen romance angst?"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Niccolo), "Ooh, ask IC."

[vodacce] Niccolo says (to GM), "No, but I bet Fortunato has access to them."

[vodacce] GM says, "Too bad I'm not Fortunato."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Right--ask IC ;-)"

[vodacce] GM exclaims, "Wait, I am!"

Venzi asks, "or if they're not dated, are there references to recent events?"

Niccolo says (to Fortunato), "Perhaps we could compare it to that sheet of figures..."

Niccolo says, "The ones regarding candles and rope."

Wilson says, "There is no plotting in here, just routine plans for an average ambassador."

[vodacce] Amber asks, "How 'bout the GM writes out the journal, plus a few other interesting writings we've come accross, scan them, post them on the web, and we can reveiw them at our leisure?"

Guard_1 says (to Niccolo), "An interesting idea."

[vodacce] (from GM) Fortunato says, "Let me go fetch them. Shall we meet in, say, an hour?"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "har"

[vodacce] Niccolo laughs.

Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "(that was from me)"

[Crows-Nest] (from Chiara) Fortunato says, "I'm practicing my ventriloquism for parties."

Wilson says (to Venzi), "There are a few dates, but not a lot. Reference to the trade with Meander here, which I assume was the one he ended up arranging. Meander would be able to tell from this if he got a good deal or not, but nothing particularly...iinteresting otherwise."

[vodacce] (from Niccolo) Fortunato says, "Unfortunately, Riccalbano had been carrying the sheet when he disappeared, and it wasn't on him when he was discovered."

Venzi hums

Fortunato says, "Let us see what is in the chest for now."

Venzi says, "well, presumably this was by John himself, then"

Fortunato opens the chest.

Venzi says, "unless we think that Dixon was replaced midway through his term"

Niccolo asks, "When you went for the chest, was, er... were Danel's remains there as well?"

Venzi says, "but it seems odd that he'd keep up a diary then"

Chiara says (to Venzi), "it seems that that would be a little to obvious."

[vodacce] Chiara says, ""too""

Wilson says (to Venzi), "We do, but this could be John taking notes, preparing to impersonate."

[Crows-Nest] ParserGirl has left the channel.

Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "Yes."

Fortunato says, "Hm. Papers."

Niccolo says, "So he, at least, has remained deceased? That's good to know."

Wilson looks inthe chest.

Wilson asks, "There isn't a false bottom, is there?"

Fortunato says, "And a box."

Fortunato taps on the bottom of the box. "Appears not.

Niccolo says (to Wilson), "Or a false top."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "away from keyboard a minute, back very very soon ... go ahead, I'll catch up."

Niccolo says, "Or perhaps a pocket concealed in or behind that large locking mechanism."

Niccolo shrugs.

Wilson examines the box.

Chiara comes over to have a look.

Fortunato says, "No, this appears to be just a box, with all the interesting things inside."

Fortunato lifts the contraption thing. "Anyone know what this is?

Wilson looks.

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "This is fun. If Fortunato weren't starting to get testy, we'd have half a dozen perception checks going by now."

[vodacce] GM says, "This is where I show how the box is a disint-o-ray."

[vodacce] Wilson laffs.

Niccolo peers at the contraption.

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Is it the same as the one in the room?"

GM says, "The contraption is box-shaped, with a flared nozzle at one end."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "back"

Niccolo touches the nozzle, feeling for oily residue.

GM says, "There are protuberances and lights and it is in general rather intimidating to one not used to machines."

GM says (to Niccolo), "No residue."

Venzi says, "my"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Quite different from the christmas tree, then, right?"

Niccolo rubs his fingers together. "No oil -- so probably not like the thing that caused the explosion."

[vodacce] GM says, "Right."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Something makes me thing 'radio' for some reason."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Or possibly 'tape deck'."

Venzi says, "well, I imagine that would have been vents into the room"

Fortunato says, "I am a little wary of just pushing on this device."

Venzi says, "possibly the guards who retrieved the chest would have noticed"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "gramaphone"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Nah. He didn't mention a turntable."

Wilson says, "We could take it to Livio's workshop."

Wilson says, "I could mess with it there."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Unless you need to open it. Any visible seams?"

Chiara asks (of Fortunato), "perhaps one might take to an expert for inspection?"

Fortunato says, "I...think I shall leave this to people more knowledgable than us."

Chiara asks, "Do you suppose Rambaldi...?"

Venzi asks, "so, what do the papers say?"

Wilson looks on teh device for any markings.

Niccolo asks, "Rambaldi, friend of John?"

Fortunato says (to Chiara), "He and I will be having a talk shortly."

Chiara says (to Niccolo), "Fortunato suggested that he might nonetheless be trustworthy."

Fortunato says, "We did discover that larger device you described."

Niccolo frowns, but doesn't comment.

Fortunato says, "It had a mark on it."

Giancarlo says, "Just one/"

Chiara asks (of Fortunato), "what sort of mark?"

Venzi asks, "just one?"

Niccolo asks (of Fortunato), "The one with the ... the arms and such?"

Fortunato says, "A circle, with two things on either side, like so"

Chiara puts her hands casually behind her back.

Fortunato holds his hands so as to make a < > shape.

Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "Yes."

Niccolo asks, "An eye?"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Any marking on this device?"

Chiara says, "I... see. I believe you had better be careful about Rambaldi, in that case."

[vodacce] GM says, "None like that."

Chiara says, "He mentioned to me that that is the mark of his making."

Giancarlo shoots Chiara a glance.

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Hmm."

Fortunato says (to Niccolo), "Something like it, yes."

Fortunato says, "Ah, good. More topics for our discussion."

Fortunato says, "I shall have to hurry downstairs after this."

Fortunato says, "The papers I can't read."

Fortunato asks (of Wilson), "Can you?"

Wilson looks.

Giancarlo takes a look at the papers.

[vodacce] GM says, "The papers are very disjointed."

[vodacce] GM says, "There are numbers, scribblings, a little drawing of the christmas tree thing."

[vodacce] GM says, "The sentences you do see are in a strange jargon which you don't completely follow"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Completely?"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "What's it based in?"

[vodacce] GM asks, "'based in'?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "I assume it's avalon but using technical terms or something"

[vodacce] GM says, "what Venzi said."

[vodacce] Wilson nods.

Wilson says, "Well, hmm. Here's a picture of that device that sparked the esplosion."

Wilson points.

[vodacce] GM says, "At one point the author seems very upset about something, writing 'barrier too high, can't bring explosives'"

Wilson says, "The rest is Avalonian, but there's a lot of terms I don't understand."

Niccolo says, "That looks like the one that was in the room where they were."

[vodacce] Chiara says, "yikes"

Niccolo asks, "That was the one that caused the explosion?"

Fortunato asks, "Any word on what the device does?"

Wilson studies it some more.

Venzi says (to Niccolo), "I don't think we can assume that"

[vodacce] GM says, "At one point there's a sketch of the device turning around its base."

[vodacce] GM says, "But no real explanation of what it does."

Wilson says, "Here's a bit where he says, "barrier too high, can't bring explosives""

Fortunato asks, "'Barrier'?"

Giancarlo asks, "You know. This is all very well, but what has it got to do with Meander?"

Wilson shrugs.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "nothing about healing, I suppose"

Venzi says, "good question"

[vodacce] GM says, "Down at the bottom of the stack is a large folded sheet of paper."

Wilson says, "And Meander *personally*. Since it didn't seem to matter about his successor."

Wilson studies a particular folded sheet of paper, but doesn't unfold it yet.

[vodacce] Chiara formulates a completely crackpot theory about who/what John is

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "??"

[vodacce] Alex says (to Giancarlo), "Awwwk! Word on the street is that ' ' is both the highest compliment and the foulest insult in the languge of mimes."

Niccolo says, "Perhaps there's something Meander has done personally."

Fortunato asks (of Wilson), "What do you have there?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says (to Alex), "Ignore me"

[vodacce] Chiara says (to Niccolo), "or is going to do."

Niccolo says, "Something which bothered John, or the people who sent him."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Or that."

[vodacce] Chiara has decided John is a traveler from the Future

Venzi says, "I suppose"

Wilson says (to Fortunato), "I don't know. Knowing John, a trap."

Venzi asks, "but they would be content with him abdicating?"

Fortunato asks, "Trapped paper?"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "and this is his 70-senator time machine"

Wilson hands the rest of the stack of papers to Amber, who happens to be standing there.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "har"

[vodacce] GM exclaims, "Yay!"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "From the distant late eighteen hundreds, perhaps. Where man has harnessed the primal forces of nature: steam."

Wilson asks (of Fortunato), "Poison, maybe? Some explosive?"

Amber leafs through the papers, glancing at the sketches.

Fortunato takes the paper from Wilson.

Fortunato feels the paper.

Wilson exclaims, "Wait!"

Fortunato says, "Well, it's very flat."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "yay"

Wilson takes the paper back.

Wilson says, "Just in case."

Fortunato says, "Perhape he has created the world's flattest barrel of gunpowder."

Wilson takesthe paper to the other side of the room.

Giancarlo chuckles.

[vodacce] Amber says, "or flash-powder."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "How is it folded?"

[vodacce] GM says, "In half, then in half again."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "just open it already"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "OH JUST OPEN IT"

Wilson carefully opens it.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "(then I will feel bad when the contact poison kills you)"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Contact-poison?"

Giancarlo clutches at his throat.

[vodacce] (from Chiara) it is a GIANT DRAWING OF A NAKED SPIDER

[vodacce] Venzi says, "cough"

[vodacce] GM exclaims, "Ha!"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "wait a minute, spiders are always naked"

[vodacce] Niccolo exclaims, "EEEEAGH!!!wait what do spiders usually wear drat you Venzi!"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "then Wilson will swoon and the rest of us think something's wrong, see"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "because they can't find any 8-legged pants"

[vodacce] GM says, "No, it's a giant diagram of Meander's family, his servants, people around him."

Chiara looks curiously at the paper.

[vodacce] GM says, "Fortunato, Sabatino, Stefani, &c."

Wilson says, "Hmm, interesting."

Venzi asks, "what is it?"

Giancarlo tries to memorise diagram.

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Anyone on it that we don't know about?"

Fortunato says, "Well? You do not seem to be dead."

Wilson says, "A map of the web of this place."

[vodacce] GM says, "Some. It's very extensive."

Wilson says, "In terms of the main characters."

[vodacce] GM says, "Ridolfo is mentioned, for instance."

Niccolo says, "Be careful; no one touch Wilson. He may be a trap."

Amber asks, "Is anyone that we know of missing?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Any of us?"

[vodacce] (from Chiara) GM says, "almost as good as mine"

[vodacce] Venzi asks, "is meander's sister mentioned?"

[vodacce] GM says, "None of the six of you are mentioned, nor are Dixon or Danel"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "John?"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "I do have memorize 0. Can I roll some trait -1 to try to memorize it?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Argargravvagarmacargragarragar?"

[vodacce] Venzi asks, "or Rosanella?"

[vodacce] GM asks (of Wilson), "You ever see one of those diagrams of all the rock bands since Elvis and how they're related?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "No."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Oooh, is it anything like the who-met-whom diagram for ifMUD?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "Rather."

[vodacce] GM says, "Rosanella is on there, you determine after a bit of looking."

[vodacce] Chiara asks, "does it have a little line of smoochie hearts between Sabatino and Carinna?"

Fortunato says, "That is -- extensive."

[vodacce] GM says, "Ha! And no."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "I'm guessing this is sort of like the family tree for an inbred Lovecraftian redneck hillbilly family."

Venzi says, "hmmm"

Niccolo asks, "Should we cross out Livio at this point?"

Amber cocks an eyebrow at the amount of work that went into this.

Venzi asks, "and no special markings on it, hmm?"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "So no connection at all between Sabatino and Carinna?"

Fortunato says, "I see none."

[vodacce] GM says, "No."

Venzi asks, "and nobody is above Meander?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Any connections to little Ricky?"

Wilson looks for the Contessa.

Fortunato says, "If I could see that for a moment--"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Also, does it look anything like a Sortey thready thing?"

Fortunato gently lifts the paper from Wilson's hands.

Wilson grins a little. "You're not giving that back, are you?"

[vodacce] GM says, "No connections to Ricky other than Meander."

[vodacce] (from Chiara) Fortunato says, "I think this would make a *great* paper airplane"

Fortunato folds the paper up. "This? I merely wish to keep it safe."

Fortunato asks, "Is that all that's in the papers?"

Wilson asks for the stack back from Amber.

Wilson says (to Fortunato), "I could decipher more, but it'll take some time."

Amber passes the papers back to Wilson without comment.

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Fortunato), "But I have Research 3; I think I can handle it."

Fortunato says, "There's another of those folded papers in there, I think."

Wilson starts paging through the papers again.

Fortunato says, "But beware the very flat gunpowder barrels."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of GM), "Not even his mother?"

Wilson says, "Indeed."

Wilson again takes the paper to the other side of the room.

Wilson unfolds the paper.

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "Too bad you can't see the paper now to check."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Curses."

Wilson spreads it out on a convenient desk.

[vodacce] GM says (to Wilson), "This paper is headed 'VILLANOVA'"

[vodacce] Chiara exclaims, "!!!"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "yipe"

[vodacce] (from Niccolo) Wilson esplodes.

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "Whoo-wee!"

Wilson exclaims, "Wow!"

Fortunato asks, "Yes?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "no, no, villanova uses poison"

Giancarlo asks, "hm?"

Wilson says, "Same thing, different verse: This one's for villanova."

Amber asks, "Bigger and more detailed?"

Fortunato says, "Oh. Interesting."

Wilson looks up Rosanella.

Giancarlo says, "Well well. That should come in useful."

Fortunato says, "Indeed."

Giancarlo asks, "I don't suppose there's another one there for each of the Princes?"

Fortunato gently removes this paper as well. "I shall have copies of this scribed for those of you who are going to Villanova Island."

[vodacce] Chiara exclaims, "yay, we get feelies for next game!"

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "Whoo!"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Yay"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "(just a theory, anyway)"

[vodacce] GM says (to Chiara), "I hear your penmanship is very good."

[vodacce] Chiara laughs

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Hey, was Rosanella on the map?"

Fortunato says (to Chiara and Giancarlo), "Niccolo will be joining you on your trip."

[vodacce] GM asks, "On the Villanova one?"

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "I am somehow not surprised to hear it."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Yes."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "That's where she was from, no?"

Chiara . o O ( terrific, I get the two craziest... well, actually, that's a hard call to make )

[vodacce] GM says, "Bessarion, which is one of Villanova's cities."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Right."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "So?"

[vodacce] GM says, "I suppose you'll have to wait to see."

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "I asked before he took it away!"

[vodacce] GM says, "So you did."

[vodacce] GM says, "Pity."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "heh"

[vodacce] Wilson glares.

Giancarlo says (to Fortunato), "Si, signore."

Wilson says, "Hey, wait a minute."

[vodacce] (from Chiara) GM LAUGHS AND LAUGHS

Wilson snatches the map back from Fortunato.

Wilson says, "Let's see if Rosanella is on here."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Clearly Fortunato's hands are quicker than our eyes."

Fortunato removes the paper from Wilson's hands again.

Fortunato says, "Thank you, you have been most helpful."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "I'd like to see him pull a senator out of Giancarlo's ear."

Fortunato says, "You will be given an appropriate copy, never fear."

Venzi says, "har"

Wilson says (to Fortunato), "Sheesh."

[vodacce] Amber asks, ""Appropriate?"

Fortunato asks, "Though -- one moment, you are not travelling to Villanova Island, are you?"

Wilson asks (of Fortunato), "Did anyone ever tell you you were far too paternal for your own good?"

Wilson says, "Nobody asked me."

Niccolo whispers (aside, to Wilson), "Actually, I think he just did."

Wilson asks (of fortunato), "Did you?"

Fortunato smiles. "Think of the science Villanova is sure to have at his university."

Giancarlo smirks

Niccolo asks, "Does he have spiders?"

Wilson thinks. "OK."

Wilson asks, "So?"

Fortunato says, "So there are four of you."

Chiara glances sidelong at Venzi when he is not looking.

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "I would bring Amber with me, if she is willing to remain in my employ."

Chiara says, "I am certain to have use for her services."

Amber says (to Chiara), "I would be honored."

Fortunato says, "I have no objection to anyone who is in the room now taking part."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "I'm really not coming up with a good IC reason to go besides curiosity, and Wilson is far more curious about what's upstairs than anything in Dionna."

Venzi spreads his hands. "What a pity I can't afford the trip."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "But if you give me a week or at least a few days here, I would go."

[vodacce] Amber asks, "your (well) hidden passion for Amber?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "There's an excellent entomology department in Dionna university."

Chiara says (to Venzi), "You could just swim over to the island..."

Fortunato says, "Really? I was under the impression that you could not afford not to take the trip."

[vodacce] GM says (to Wilson), "Enh, we can play without you."

[vodacce] GM ducks.

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of Wilson), "What about getting a copy of the web?"

Fortunato says, "Regardless, passage to the Island and back will be made available for any willing to help House Falisci in this matter."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Or, of course, that fact that John may have other devices stashed over there."

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "you are very kind."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Seriously, the Contessa has offered to let me sketch her spiders. I will never get this oportunity again, and neither will anyone else. I would be an idiot to go without staying here at least a few days first."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Ah. Mmm."

[vodacce] GM says, "Hm."

Venzi says, "if House Falisci wishes to employ me, that is another matter. but I give no charity."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "A travel-pack of spiders to take with you?"

[vodacce] Venzi exclaims, "art and a snack!"

Fortunato lifts an eyebrow. "But you will take it?"

[vodacce] GM has added Wilson to #Wilsons-Permanent-Interlude.

Venzi says, "not if I can help it"

[vodacce] Chiara says (to GM), "you can just make a Spider bot to say things like, "Awwwk! Want fly!" periodically"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Does the Contessa have any 'bite you and change your mind so you want to go on a trip' spiders?"

Fortunato says, "Speak with me after this, then, and we will see if an arrangement can be made."

[vodacce] GM asks (of Wilson), "Is there a reason you can come up with?"

Venzi says, "my thanks"

[vodacce] GM says, "Because I can't see Fortunato saying, 'Gee, stay around a few days. I'm sure John's not up to anything important right now.'"

Venzi bows slightly and steps back slightly.

Amber has disconnected.

Amber has connected.

Wilson walks the plank to adventure. Arr!

Wilson arrives, looking for booty.

[vodacce] Amber says, "er."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Arr, cord."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "What if he knew the sketching offer would still stand when he returned?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "possibly fortunato can see that he get-- right"

[vodacce] Wilson recaps.

[vodacce] Wilson thinks.

Amber says (to Wilson), "Oh, come on. It will be fun."

[vodacce] Venzi asks, "you won't go for go-see-university-now, come-back-and-sketch-here-later?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "I could imagine a scenario wherein most people go and set up stuff, but nothing particularly interesting happens for a few days until Wilson happens to show."

[vodacce] GM asks, "i.e. Wilson isn't going to go for come-back-and-sketch?"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Are you sure her note said 'spiders' maybe it really said 'sliders'."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "mm, white castle"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "I'd be happier with that if the Contessa wasn't insane."

[vodacce] Wilson grins.

[vodacce] GM says, "Well, if that's a problem, I can see that you get no access. :)"

[vodacce] Amber says, "we could just leave him here."

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "Nooooooooo!"

[vodacce] (from Giancarlo) Contessa says, "What's this? You will not aid our house after the offer I made you? Then no offer, no spiders for you! Away!"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Maybe you can create a new villain, for the sole purpose of kidnapping Wilson and dragging him there."

[vodacce] Amber says, "yeah, reanimate a vindictive Livio, who's convinced Wilson did him in."

[vodacce] Chiara says, "har"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "there's the question of Renzino..."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Hey, actually, that is an idea--have the Contessa get *worse* for a while, so that I couldn't get anywhere near her."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "'The offer still stands, but note that if you try to collect right now you might get your threads knotted'?"

[vodacce] Amber asks (of Wilson), "Do you believe in magic?"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Amber), "Yes."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "I don't pay too much attention to it, though."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "But there's plenty in Avalon."

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "So ... getting on with it?"

Fortunato says, "Well. We can setle the details later today."

[vodacce] GM says, "I.E. IN THE POSSIBLE SEQUEL"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Heh."

[vodacce] Chiara says, "yay sequel"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "Yay"

[vodacce] Amber exclaims, "yeaha!"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Hee."

[vodacce] Amber says, "I want cool toys, money and xp, too."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Do we get to see previews from the next episode?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "vodacce 2: villanova boogaloo"

[vodacce] Wilson laffs.

[vodacce] Venzi exclaims (at Amber), "you already have spring-loaded boots!"

Fortunato says, "My thanks to all of you again."

Chiara says (to Fortunato), "I only apologize we were unable to return with John's organs individually mounted on labelled stakes."

[vodacce] Amber says, "The boots are definitely very cool toys. Okay, maybe just money and xp."

[vodacce] Amber grins.

Venzi says, "it has been quite, ah, interesting."

Giancarlo says (to Chiara), "ai."

Amber asks (of Chiara), "Getting rather bloody-minded today, eh?"

Fortunato says (to Wilson), "And should you decide to stay here, you may be a guest of the house for several days."

Amber asks (of Chiara), "Care to go a round or two after this, and maybe work off some of that, ah, excess energy?"

Wilson says (to Fortunato), "Thank you. I imagine it will take some time to put together a party, anyway--I'll use that time to try to figure out these papers."

Fortunato says, "My thanks."

Chiara says (to Amber), "heh. It would be good for me to improve my combat skills... they have been poor of late."

[Crows-Nest] Niccolo exclaims (at Amber), "TMI!"

[Crows-Nest] Amber exclaims, "You and your dirty mind!"

GM says, "And so the curtain closes on the Vodacce Adventure: The Three-Day Campaign In Nearly Real Time."

Wilson laughs.

[vodacce] Chiara says, "yay game"

Giancarlo says, "yay"

[vodacce] Amber guffaws.

Venzi claps.

[vodacce] Wilson exclaims, "Yay!"

[vodacce] GM says, "and four xp for ev'rybody."

[vodacce] Giancarlo exclaims, "Yay!"

[vodacce] Amber says, "Mucho Kudos to the GM for his most excellent GMing."

Wilson exclaims, "Whoo!"

[vodacce] Chiara says, "yay"

GM says, "And I couldn't have done it without npc1 and npc2"

npc1 says, "yay"

npc2 says, "woo"

[vodacce] Amber exclaims, "yay xp!"

Venzi exclaims, "curtain call for Guard_2!"

Niccolo exclaims, "Yay, Guard_2!"

Amber exclaims, "No! Guard_2 lives!"

Guard_2 says, "aw"

Amber asks, "Hey, with Danel dead, I gotta flirt with somebody, right?"

Chiara says, "heehee"

npc1 has disconnected.

npc2 has disconnected.

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Any background-related XP, BTW? Or is that figured into the four?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "So when Part 2? huh? Huh huh huh?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Oh,right."

[vodacce] GM says, "I'll have to deal with that before the next game. :)"

[vodacce] Chiara asks, "I have a technical question: do curse/blessing dice last between games?"

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Giancarlo), "you're the one that's about to run a game"

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of GM), "Deal with background XP?"

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Giancarlo), "so presumably the answer is "when colonial's over""

[vodacce] GM says (to Wilson), "yah"

[vodacce] Wilson nods.

[vodacce] GM says (to Chiara), "Funny you should ask"

[vodacce] (from GM) GM says, "HA HA HA HA HA"

[vodacce] GM says, "I'll probably get rid of one of 'em."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of Gian), "So when's Colonail start, huh? Huh huh huh?"

[vodacce] (from Chiara) GM says, "To be specific, Giancarlo's blessing die."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says (to Chiara), "aiee."

[vodacce] GM asks, "Any questions?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks (of Nico), "Well, when's everyone available?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Tomorrow, eight o'clock?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "The dice have a 10% chance each action to disappear, so I'd assume they'd disappear between games."

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Giancarlo), "lpsmith is busy fridays, I know that much"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "But I'm not in Colonial."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "not if game 2 starts immediately after game 1"

[vodacce] Chiara says (to Wilson), "unless we're not doing anything between games, that is"

[vodacce] Amber says, "I can't handle gaming duty and ellric duty simultaneously. sorry."

[vodacce] Giancarlo may not be home by 8pm tomorrow. Has no idea what time he'll be home, actually.

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Yeah,b ut you could burn through them by just making a lot of fashion rolls."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Mmm. A week from tonight?"

[vodacce] Venzi asks (of Wilson), "is that considered a combat-related activity?"

[vodacce] Amber asks, "sure. maybe an hour before we started here?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "I guess if it's military fashion"

[vodacce] GM says, "Weekend nights are best for me, rather than random Thursday night &c."

[vodacce] Chiara says (to Venzi), "you haven't seen all my outfits"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of Venzi), "Is she trying to knock 'em dead?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hee hee"

[vodacce] Amber says, "Saturday nights are good."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "As of next month, I believe I will be busy less fridays, since we move from 2 shows/night to just one."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Saturday nights are mostly taken, for me."

[vodacce] Amber says, "as are Sunday afternoons."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Sunday afternoons might work."

[vodacce] GM says, "Sunday afternoons would be good for me as well"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Hmm."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Starting this Sunday?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Oh, hey, they're connected to a strand."

[vodacce] Amber says, "sure."

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "This sunday afternoon I have a performance."

[vodacce] Venzi asks, "so we end up with 19 xp, hunh?"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Venzi), "Looks like it."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of GM), "'Etude for laser and harpsichord'?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Plus the background XP."

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "Singing, actually."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "I'm free this Sunday afternoon about 1 to 5, but usually I'm not free at all."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks (of GM), "Can you work lasers into it anyplace?"

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "possibly"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Maybe just to shoot the people who don't applaud enough."

[vodacce] Amber says, "hee"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Tomorrow night no good?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "Oh wait, tomorrow night no good for me."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Heh."

[vodacce] Wilson laughs.

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Next friday night no good?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "Amber's already said she can't make it"

[vodacce] GM asks (of Giancarlo), "So normally Sunday afternoons bad for you?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says (to GM), "yeah, that's when I run colonial-tabletop."

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of GM), "Oh, hey--how does our reputation change for the adventure?"

[vodacce] Amber says, "mine did! Amber grins."

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of Gian), "Oh, you're running the exact same game in RL?"

[vodacce] GM says (to Wilson), "I'll have to work these things out."

[vodacce] Wilson nods.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "also, I believe you guys have eliminated most fridays, most sunday afternoons, 2/3rds of saturday afternoons, and saturday evenings"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says (to Wilson), "Yep. Going to compare party actions and situations and see how different the stories end up."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Why do you think we played this on Thursday so often?"

[vodacce] Amber asks, "sunday evening?"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Gian), "Cool."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "admittedly, this explains why we can't ever schedule anything for this game either"

[vodacce] GM says, "Ah, good, no weekends."

[vodacce] GM says, "That will work GREAT"

[vodacce] Chiara asks (of Amber), "alias?"

[vodacce] Alex says (to Chiara), "Awwwk! Word on the street is that Alias is an awesome show with a grad student chyk who kicks ass as a double agent for the CIA and sd-6."

[vodacce] Amber asks, "VCR?"

[vodacce] Alex says (to Amber), "Awwwk! Word on the street is that VCR is Video Cassette Recorder."

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Alex), "You are *so helpful*"

[vodacce] Alex says (to Wilson), "Okay, Alex is also *so helpful*."

[vodacce] Wilson says (to alex), "Also, forget that."

[vodacce] Alex exclaims (at Wilson), "Awwwk! No parse found!"

[vodacce] Chiara says (to Amber), "no, but I would deal if necessary, I guess"

[vodacce] GM says, "Nooooo, must seeee Aliaaaas"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "this is why I don't have a tv."

[vodacce] Amber says, "no, I wouldn't ask someone to give up Alia. Sydney kicks butt."

[vodacce] Chiara says, "ok, never mind, you're talking about colonial"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "hmm"

[vodacce] Venzi asks, "so if I raise resolve to 3, what to do with the other 4 xp?"

[vodacce] Amber asks, "how about Tuesday nights?"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Venzi), "Two 0-skill traits to 1."

[vodacce] Amber says, "oh, wait, Tuesday's bad for me."

[vodacce] GM says, "Heh."

[vodacce] GM says, "If we have to play during the week, I can try that"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Next Thursday?"

[vodacce] Amber says, "we started a new study group at church that runs for the next 10 weeks."

[vodacce] GM says, "but if I start falling over at work and cutting off limbs by accident I'll have to pull a TableSaw"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Venzi), "By far the most efficient use of them, besides raising traits."

[vodacce] GM asks, "Could we pick any day of the week other than Thursday?"

[vodacce] GM asks, "Since my one official day in the lab is Friday?"

[vodacce] Amber says, "Monday."

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Next Wednesday?"

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Wilson), "hmm, well, except us swordsmen get a bonus if we raise our swordsmen skills enough"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "This Monday?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Heh. Wednesday is choir practice until 9 eastern, so if you want to start after that."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Wednesday also CSz practice."

[vodacce] Amber says, "no thanks."

[vodacce] GM says, "Clearly I'm the troublemaker."

[vodacce] Amber says, "how about 2:00 AM every other Wednesday morning? We'll just get up really early."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Hmm. I guess Saturday nights aren't bad so long as things are worked out so it doesn't overlap anything else..."

[vodacce] Wilson says (to Venzi), "Yeah, but it's a pansy bonus ;-)"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "How about we just do two hours of Colonial every night, from 9 to 11? (it'll actually work out to 1 hour)."

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Wilson), "you wait til I get my journeyman ability, then we'll see"

[vodacce] Wilson waits. And waits.

[vodacce] Venzi says, "har"

[vodacce] Amber laughs.

[vodacce] Wilson says, "(what *is* your journeyman bonus?)"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "if you do a dramatic wound, you can take one yourself to do a second"

[vodacce] Wilson frowns.

[vodacce] GM says, "His Master skill is swimming."

[vodacce] Amber asks, "so have we narrowed it down to Monday, Thursday and Saturday nights?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks (of Amber), "Er, when you said "no thanks", was that with regard to 9 eastern Wednesday, or this Monday?"

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "And it cost how much XP to get there?"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "I thought Thursday was bad for Sarge."

[vodacce] Amber says (to Gian), "Wednesday."

[vodacce] GM says, "Thursday is also bad, but we seem to be narrowing down to the empty set."

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Oh. So is there any reason we can't do Monday?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Hrm. Afternoon or evening?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "evening."

[vodacce] Amber says, "evening."

[vodacce] Niccolo gets up early Tuesdays.

[vodacce] GM says, "Afternoon"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "it costs, hmm, (2 + 3 + 4) * 8"

[vodacce] GM says, "No, I lie. Evening."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "So it wouldn't really be convenient for me. Hmm."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "56? Oy."

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "I get up 7am Tuesdays anyway."

[vodacce] Chiara says (to Venzi), "that's a lot."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Er, 72."

[vodacce] Amber says, "I get up at 4:30 am Mon, Tue, Thur and Fri, so any night before those days is bad for me."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Oy even more."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "yeah, but it'll be SO COOL"

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "Yow."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "72 XP for the privledge of taking damage."

[vodacce] Amber says, "so that's why I'm so often saying "I have to quit tonight, I'm tired" and apologizing."

[vodacce] Venzi says, "yeah, but then I just have to spend another 40 and I get the master ability"

[vodacce] Amber asks, "so are mondays good?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "They're fine for me."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Out of curiosity, how in the world did we ever manage to get together for Vodacce?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Sure. I can deal"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "I'm willing to do two half-sessions a week, if that will get us to bed earlier."

[vodacce] Niccolo says (to Amber), "I thought you just said they weren't good for you."

[vodacce] Venzi says (to Niccolo), "we didn't"

[vodacce] GM says (to Niccolo), "The strength of my personality."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "(Which they aren't especially for me, either...)"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "also, I seem to recall Wilson being a bit more available on fridays earlier"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "(plus the advantages of taking the knacks to begin with, of course)"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "although perhaps that is just wishful thinking"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Yes."

[vodacce] Amber says, "I'm sorry. I'm being obnoxious. Mondays are as good for me as Sunday nights, or Thursday nights. So whatever works for the most people is fine."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "I know at the beginning of each month what my schedule is for that month."

[vodacce] Wilson says, "(re: fridays)"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Hmm. I forget: were the Fridays that lps is home bad for anyone?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "Most Fridays are good for everyone."

[vodacce] Wilson asks (of Niccolo), "Besides me?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "(ba-dum tish)"

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "So, no objections to this Monday evening?"

[vodacce] GM says, "That should be fine"

[vodacce] Amber says, "sounds good."

[vodacce] Niccolo says (to Gian), "Er. Well. I'd rather not d-- ah. Um. I guess."

[vodacce] Wilson laughs.

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "As I said, I'm willing to do two half-sessions a week if that will get us to bed earlier."

[vodacce] GM asks, "How long is 'two half-sessions'?"

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Is anyone not on the east coast?"

[vodacce] Venzi says, "each four hours, I assume"

[vodacce] Wilson says (to GM), "20 minutes each. Just like tonight."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "(Or, I should phrase it, anyone able to do earlier than eight?)"

[vodacce] GM says, "Tha's it. I'm done with 7th Sea."

[vodacce] Amber says, "yes, I'm not on the east coast."

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Maybe three hours a half, including that half-hour in the beginning where everyone scrambles to get organised?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "(but only an hour off)"

[vodacce] GM says, "Also, finding two nights we can meet will, I expect, be prohibitively hard."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Like, what time do people become available Monday?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Sara gets off work at 6:00 central."

[vodacce] Amber says, "7:00 central time."

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "So that's 8 eastern?"

[vodacce] Wilson nods.

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "Okay, say 8 to 11?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Let's try it."

[vodacce] Amber says, "sure."

[vodacce] Niccolo says, "I'll try."

[vodacce] Wilson asks, "Is everyone in that also in this?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "(meaning 7 to 10 central)"

[vodacce] Venzi asks, "is RC in colonial?"

[vodacce] Giancarlo says, "Oh yeah. There's also Roger.... though he's not officially in yet...."

[vodacce] Niccolo asks, "Should I close up the Vodacce log, anyway?"

[vodacce] GM says, "Sure."

[vodacce] Giancarlo asks, "What, it's still going?"

[vodacce] Wilson says, "Tell him he can't join unless he's available from 6-10 GMT on alternate tuesdays except on mondays with a '3' in them, when he has to be available all day, and on Fridays from noon to midnight."

[vodacce] GM asks, "And so Roger's joining in, eh?"
