Turn 4

Previous turn: Turn 3

House Actions

Shipping: The Titanicus loads up 5 units of raw hyperidot (rank-1). The fresh-out-of-hospital Fightin' Fighters also board, disguised as Astro-Polo players, along with Seve and Rexx. The ship heads to the same core world as House Aramin delegation.

Fighting: The Yowling Yoshis march back to K14 to resume protecting the Bonanza Mine. The Titanicus keeps an eye open for pirates; if there's any interest in our booty, we look helpless and let them board, then start breaking heads with our Astro-Mallets.

Exploration: The Lewison Clarks, now rank-2, depart I15 and explore J15.

Production: The large warp crystal mine in K14, the Bonanza Mine, produces 2 raw units.

Processing: None

Research: None

Building: None. We poor.

Landing: The Titanicus arrives at some fashionable Imperial planet.

Trade: The Titanicus offloads and sells its cargo for 5 MCr.

Politics: We surreptitiously contact Nif@x about their transport problems, and if time permits Jovek about their military problems, to see exactly what they need and what they're offering.

Character Actions

Bram Lincoln Continental (Roger): Wanders over to I13 and takes a look around.

Seve Ballesteros (Iain): Takes a break from Astro-Polo to join House Aramin (and Reig?) in their tax lobbying. Seve's pitch: if the tax burden is lifted slightly, we can afford to spend more on advertising and an awesome stadium, to guarantee a high attendance at the League of Champions finals. We'll happily accept a reasonable tax increase on the tickets, some of which will be astronomically expensive.

Results

The Bonanza produces more hyperidot.

Bram explores hex I13, where he is quickly able to locate more hyperidot veins (a small, rank-1 source). Meanwhile, the Lewison Clarks put his tutelage to immediate use in J15, where among the grasslands they locate valuable minerals worth 2 mega-credits to the treasury.

The Titanicus flies off with the Fightin' Fighters and 4 (unable to fit more) units of hyperidot, making pirate-attracting kind of broadcasts. After some cunning maneuvers, they end up with the fightin' fighters, 4 units of hyperidot, and one pirate ship complete with contents (some of which get handed off for the imperial bounty on pirates, and the rest of which is a unit of Stylish Dress Clothes).

When all the dust has settled, Seve and Bram get in touch with various go-betweens for various jobs.
