House Actions

Shipping:

  • The Space Whale collects Dalek Red, Dalek Blue, Dalek Yellow and 1 unit of Max-EnerG HyperJuice and ships them to Arroyo.
    • Perhaps Boumfador would be a better place? They need military support for the remaining L3, and Arroyo is already basically finished
    • Dark apparently has Boumfadour all wrapped up. They're just going to Arroyo to meet up with the Foreign Legion and the StarFar Reigspress, as a stepping stone to Hrobaj.
  • The Mighty Mammoth collects the Terraformer, 1 unit of Hyperidot, 1 unit of Minerals and 2 units of Native Art, then ships them all to Elvis.
  • The Titanicus collects 4 units of Chemicals (along with its 1 unit of Stylish Dress Clothes) and ships them to Elvis.
  • The StarFar Reigspress idles at Arroyo, keeping out of the fighting this turn.

Fighting

  • The Foreign Legion defends the Seveyard from cover.
  • Seve Ballesteros, Astro-Polo champion, contender to the imperial throne, the prodigal son of Arroyo, leads Utahraptor in battle against the last Gwyne cruiser, freeing his homeworld from foreign tyranny. The documentary crew he set up last turn films the event.
  • The Reiglight Revenge recuperates in the Cavernous Region.
  • The Prime Irregulars hole up and prepare to harass but not engage any possible enemy units (will likely disband next turn presuming the new enemy drones are neutralized).
  • The (friendly) Boumfadour drones rest.

Exploration

  • The Lewison Clarks continue their exploration of the Cavernous Region (making it to Explored-III).
  • KANE continues exploring a new region on Vefna (making it 4/6 of the way to Explored-I).
  • The StarLight Survey Squad resumes their exploration of the Donbique Rule Region (making it 5/6 of the way to Explored-I).
  • Bram scavenges the wrecks of the ships destroyed in Turn 18, discovering 1 unit of Navigation Computers (a rank-3 refined good), 1 unit of Ductwork (a rank-2 refined good) and 1 unit of Starship Furniture (a rank-2 refined good) (including some of those neat desks with built-in touchscreen computers and one really nice captain's chair with Ndoggahyde upholstery).
  • Rafael and the Reef Explorers take a well-deserved rest.

Industry

  • Bonanza Region: Produces 6 units of Hyperidot.
  • Island Region: Produces 3 units of Food (at rank 1 due to starvation).
  • Ocean Region: Produces nothing (because they are evacuated or because of starvation or whatever).
  • Pleistocene Region: Produces 3 units of Mammoth Byproducts (Food: 1).
  • Bloos Wade Region: Produces 1 unit of Unsorted Crystals (with homesteader help) and 3 units of Food.
  • Alshu Cup Region: Produces 3 units of Unsorted Crystals.
  • Hau Ndogg Region:
    • The Riju Tri-Lateral Industrial Complex processes 2 units of Unsorted Crystals, 2 units of Frozen Gas and 2 units of Food into 2 units of Freeze-Dried Magic Meals (a rank-3 refined good with a Food value of 4).
    • The Riju Tri-Lateral Industrial Complex processes 1 unit of Unsorted Crystals, 1 unit of Frozen Gas and 1 unit of Native Art into 1 unit of Ice Sculptures (a rank-3 refined good).

Research

  • The Farlight Institute of Crystal Biotechnology continues researching HyperPlasma.
  • The Hau Ndogg Community College astro-polo stadium (and secret underground advanced physics laboratory) begins researching how we can improve on our teleporter technology by replacing the binary birds with wormhole towers, thus allowing us to teleport stuff between nearby (i.e. colonial) planets.
  • The Boumfadour Institute for Ecology and Planetary Development finishes their long-delayed eco-defense research.
  • The Boumfadour Institute for History and Archaeology finally can work in peace and starts researching the sub/city they are in.

Building

  • The Seve Ballesteros Memorial Shipyard uses 1 unit of Petro-alloy Plating, 1 unit of Ductwork and 1 unit of Starship Furniture to construct three rank-2 military space units: the Stegosaurus, the Allosaurus and the Sevosaurus.
  • The Seve Ballesteros Memorial Shipyard uses 2 units of Petro-alloy Plating to construct a rank-2 cargo ship: the Victoria Dulcis.
  • The Seve Ballesteros Memorial Shipyard uses 1 unit of Navigation Computers to upgrade Old Betsy to a rank-2 military space unit. Normally this wouldn't require a refined good, but we never properly paid for Old Betsy in the first place, so this is mechanically equivalent to building her from scratch as a rank-2.

Landing

  • The Space Whale lands on Arroyo and unloads its refined goods. It transfers the daleks over to the StarFar Reigspress.
  • The Mighty Mammoth and Titanicus both arrive at Elvis and unload their cargo.

Trading

  • Now that the wormhole's open again, do we need to mess with food any more? That was the justification originally.
    • inky says he's keeping the food rule.
  • Elvis' Hau Ndogg Region consumes 1/4 unit of Max-EnerG HyperJuice. The Bloos Wade Region and Alshu Cup Region each consume 1 unit of Food.
  • Vefna's Pleistocene Region consumes 1/5 unit of Rations.
  • Boumfadour's Island Region and Ocean Region might now consume Food if there's Food to consume? Maybe?
  • Arroyo's Cavernous Region and Bonanza Region each consume 1/4 unit of Kookie Krysp.

Politics

  • Documentary created about Seve's daring rescue of the colony worlds.
  • We issue the wormhole tower teams standing orders:
    • If a hostile fleet tries to come through the wormhole, Disrupt while they're inside of it.
    • If anyone other than us tries to interfere with the main wormhole, Block their signals.

Character Actions

Colony

  • Dark: Fixes the busted Gwyne ship; negotiates with the Gwyne commander (who loads the cargo ship with the 3-unit and stragglers and takes off through the wormhole).
  • Jude: "Standing Orders: [...] Assist with research - tech tree advances, buildings, or units in that order of precedence" -- that probably means assisting SAPL with the teleporters, if vimes doesn't specify anything else
  • Rick: Rick writes up course syllabi, designs obstacle courses, picks out textbooks and so forth in preparation for later construction of an explorers academy on Boumfadour.
  • Kyil: Returns to the Iavo site with a replacement tap--something that sends the real signal to us, but if anything is detected, sends a false 'nothing' signal to the monitors.
  • Tesher: While the shipyard is working on Old Betsy, Tesher makes a few modifications to the StarFar Reigspress to make its cargo manifest a bit less obvious to customs officials, thus improving our profits by 10% the next time we use it to ship goods to the Imperial Market.
  • Seve: DOCUMENTED SPACE FIGHT and post-fight interview with Serious Face.

Imperial Core

  • Reig: Backtraces space baby delivery by fruitlessly investigating a Jayce noblewoman.
  • Silentus: Obtains and sends the command code for the new drones remaining on Boumfadour.
  • (NPC) Basinbloke: Plans a wine tasting and generally rocking party for turn 21.

Results

Mop-up!

Seve strikes a blow against tyranny, destroying the last Gwyne ship on Arroyo. Dark negotiates with the enemy ground troops on Boumfadour and convinces them to exit stage left through the wormhole (the drone troops are left behind, to be reprogrammed as faithful planetary defenders).

The Lewison Clarks complete their exploration of the Cavernous Region, discovering two things of note as it increases to explored-III: first, valuable minerals worth four mega-credits, and secondly, a particular strain of cactus directly relevant to the Farlight Institute's research.

The Boumfadour Institute for Ecology and Planetary Development releases Environmental Defense I: three units of Chemicals can be spent in an ocean or sargasso sea region to enrage the sea creatures in the area against outsiders, creating two rank-1 ground units which last for a single turn. (This can be done multiple times in a region.) The Farlight Institute releases HyperPlasmic Cactus: This takes four exploration points to seed in a region containing hyperidot, after which that region can also produce Food as a resource.

Otherwise, life on the colony worlds gets back to normal: Boumfadour repopulates, previously-starving regions eat, and people relax a bit.
