Proposal

New Rule:

If a player other than the proposal's submitter has been in approval of a proposal continuously for four days straight, and no player has been in disapproval of it during this period of time, any player may declare that proposal "ascended" by editing its wiki page to indicate this status under a "Proposal Status" heading on the proposal's wiki page.

  • At the moment a proposal becomes ascended, all players are considered to immediately vote in favor of it (regardless of how they may have previously voted regarding the proposal).

Comments

I originally included the "(not counting time elapsed before the adoption of this rule)" bit because I didn't want proposals to become having already been retroactively ascended as soon as this passed, but if a player has to actively declare a proposal ascended, I guess it's unnecessary. --Jota 13:48, 27 January 2012 (PST)

Voting

  • Jota: Aye
  • Baf: Nay
  • olethros: Nay - Not in this form. I'd amend this to take effect if a) 4 days pass and b) at least 1/3rd of players have vote in favour. In effect, a similar rule to Pruning The Garden would be better.
  • Roger: Nay, but with reluctance. I'd rather see 'passive assent' fixed up.
  • All players effectively vote against this proposal due to its being declared dead.

Proposal Status

I hereby declare this proposal dead, as Baf, olethros and Roger are against it. --Jota 18:11, 27 February 2012 (PST)
